Served a Biarra Moretti, didn’t look right, went back to the bar to complain, was told there was nothing wrong with the pint and no chance of changing. Batman very rude.

I can see that not many reviews on this place. we go oout every sunday for lunch and this is by far one of the best dinners you could expect. The food is totally amazing, staff are great and the price (£18) is definitely worth it. We can not fault the place Don't drive past, always looks quiet however its lovely. Drive in and give it a go

Beautiful country Inn/Pub. I visited at lunchtime. The place itself is lovely inside and out. It was warm enough to sit outside and that's what I intended but the conservatory was just so inviting I stayed there with a view into the courtyard, which had a lot of greenery and flowers in bloom. Food, at least mine was very very tasty, I had Salmon. This came sat on a bed of julienne vegetables and was served with new potatoes. The Salmon was cooked to perfection, very flavourful and soft to medium. It just flaked when separated with just my fork. It was served with a gorgeous lemon mayonnaise drizzled over the top. The vegetables were dressed lightly in a mix of I think a sweet vinegar and oils. I didn't have a starter nor dessert but I did see them being brought to other tables and they looked delicious. The portion wasn't huge, just enough for me for what I wanted. If I'd had either starter or dessert I perswould have full. I don't have a huge appetite though. Can you tell I enjoyed it?! 😉 I was on my way to meet my niece in Shipton, but I will definitely go back at some point just for the food, even though its a 2 hour drive for me.

My wife and I stayed here while visiting Kilkenny. Kilkenny is a fascinating place, and the Killkenny Inn was perfect to our needs. The room was large, and tidy, and the breakfast was good. It was in a handy location to explore the attractions on foot. There was convenient parking out the back. The lady at check in couldn't have been more helpful, and printed our boarding passes. Much appreciated

A special lunch for my wife and grandmother arranged by our 4 daughters and their partners at The Kilkenny Inn, 13 in total for a choice of Sunday roasts 2 or 3 courses. Excellently presented food lovely home made starters and a great choice of puddings. The owners take care with the food and wine, clearly knowledgable at both. Lovely interior and atmosphere in this typically English pub. Recommended.

Returned for an early dinner and we were greeted warmly and sat next to the log burner as it was a chilly evening. A very pleasant time as before.

Lunched here yesterday, going with friends who had visited previously. Lovely atmosphere when entering, friendly greeting from all the staff so bonded well from the start. Food did not disappoint, as said by others the slow cooked brisket on a bed of mash and roasted veg was excellent and I'm happy to recommend.

Trip out on Boxing Day with two friends, pub and restaurant were busy so a good sign. We had a drink and asked if there was a chance of having something to eat, the staff were very obliging and gave us a choice of three tables, food was mediocre and overpriced so no praise there, a pity because it’s a nice restaurant/pub/ good parking clean and pleasant!

Visited last week the food here is excellent and the staff make you feel very welcome. Just one thing please please change the light bulbs in the wall lights they are far to bright dimming the lights will make the place perfect and create a relaxing atmosphere . 9 out of 10 thanks

It's years since we've been here, but we called in for lunch & were very pleasantly surprised. The menu is a little bit different from usual & the food was very good. I especially loved the orange brûlée I had for pudding - excellent. It was a very cold day & the wind was hitting the front of the pub, making it quite cold. We went & sat up in the conservatory, which was just about ok but not hot by any means. The owners had the heating up full blast but it was still a bit chilly. Choose a table in the conservatory if it is cold weather.

A lunch time meeting with a friend from Cheltenham took us to the Killkenny, not having been to the place for a good time we were very impressed with the upgrade that the premises have had , very clean and impressive in its look along with a great garden area should you choose to eat outside. But we had gone for a catch up and a good meal , the catchup was great alway lovely to meet up , sadly the food did not live up to the venue. The fish and chips that my husband had looked great on the plate, but the fish was not cooked through leading to the thought that it perhaps was from the freezer. My chicken from the grill was tasteless making me wonder if it also had been frozen , served with tomato that was so hot on the inside was inedible for quite some time , microwaved ? Mushrooms that again were hot but also full of water, frozen ? Service was average what more can I say? Won't be returning any time soon.

it is not pretentious and not fine dining, but does offer good old fashioned pub food, well presented if a little expensive. A warm welcome and good service makes a repeat visit very likely.

Pre arranged visit after golf nearby. All meals booked in advance but they still had to cater for 17 people at the same time as their other customers. Good food and good service.

This is our local pub, and having tried a huge number of pubs in the area I can firmly say that this is the best for food, value and service. Highly recommend.

This is a really welcome, beautifully renovated addition to the area. A warm and friendly local with stone walls and open fires. Food is very good, modern pub style at a very reasonable price for The Cotswolds. Staff are very friendly and efficient and the clientele are a great combination of locals at the bar, people eating and walkers, cyclists etc calling in for a pint. Been several times since it reopened and all have been good.

We had a stay for two nights with two rooms, dinner on evening one and two breakfasts. Positive Points 1. Quality steak 2. Delicious mackerel starter Negative Points 1. Cold and unwelcoming 2. Dirty tables and cutlery 3. Very long wait for food and nobody checked if everything was ok 4. Different change for same drinks every time. 5. No staff....one person does everything! 6. Filthy bedrooms, thick with dust and cobwebs 7. Rooms full of broken items ...mirrors, blinds 8. No slip mat provided for elderly people, so unable to have a shower (my mum was told to throw a towel in the bath!) 9. Extremely old mattress, lumpy and uncomfortable, old duvet with lumps and bumps 10. Linen bundles and beer barrels left outside rooms and at bottom of the stairs...huge fire and safety risk 11. Limited breakfast and very small quantity 12. Coffee and tea not restocked, dirty cups left in room and bed not made 13. Bathroom was rusty, filthy and hadn't been cleaned. Toilets were still dirty from previous guests.
