We dined at Kiko and were impressed with the food - its taste and presentation. Also all the staff we encountered were top notch - the manager was especially kind as he made sure they got all details of my intolerances down and no fuss was made which we appreciated. If we are in this area again we would definitely come back.

Came here for my friends birthday and the staff were SO lovely! I am vegan so I asked which dishes needed to omit mayo to be made vegan so it was really easy. However if you ever update your menu please consider writing VG or PB for the vegan options to be super clear! There was no vegan dessert as I had hoped that the mochi was sorbet but the staff said he had a vegan ice cream I could try (which he gave me for free!) this was so kind and I appreciated it so much. Definitely worth a visit!

Revisited Kiko after a bad customer service experience some years ago. Whilst the food was excellent, the rest of the experience was disappointing. Restaurant smelt of bleach and decor now shabby. Menus tattered and torn and grubby. And set your timer - you have 90minutes to enjoy your dining experience!

An absolutely delicious lunch! Only discovered this little gem of a restaurant yesterday and highly recommend it. Food was fab, service attentive and a big hit with everybody on our table. Well done to the three chefs in charge of delivering great food.

Exceptional food, served with a smile, good value and served promptly but without rushing you. We had such a lovely meal, tonight was a 10th birthday but we celebrated an 18th here before too and the whole family really enjoy.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff and the food is fresh and delicious. My son, who is traditionally fussy with his food, loved everything he tried. Kiko is an absolute winner for our family, we will definitely be back.

The place is not luxurious but very reminiscent of those small family restaurants we have been to in Tokyo. We could have sat on benches but chose to sit at the counter by the kitchen - again, very Tokyo. Service was excellent. Our miso soup was very good; our dragon rolls (spicy crab for me and sea bass for my wife) were truly excellent; the seafood noodles were disappointing (little taste, little seafood).

Seriously delicious food, with great customer service. The food is as good as the food we remember eating in Tokyo, if not better.

An excellent, sushi and yakitori restaurant. Also the only Yakitori restaurant I've cone across. The menu is pricey but the portions are large and there is an incredible amount of food to choose from. I recommend anything off the grill or the dragon rolls.

Absolutely love this place! Food is out of this world and such great value. My only negative is I had the last sitting at 8.30pm and I was rushed at the end so I was not able to enjoy my last course

Had a fantastic meal for a birthday dinner. The sushi was out of this world and the from the grill section was equally as good. I’d hight recomend the tempura salmon maki rolls and the spicy tuna rolls. Andrea and the rest of the team were very friendly and gave great service. Thank you for a lovely meal!

Had fantastic food here yesterday - always fresh and flavourful with lovely sauces/dressings. Really on par with eateries in Japan itself and by far the best in the area. We have been here a lot and the staff are always lovely too. The best sushi and also some super tasty starters/sides. Never had a bad meal; always amazing!

This is japanese at its best. We had a variety of sashimi and sushi, from soft shelled crabs, spicy, wagu and a variety of types of sushi. Everything was excellent for the 4 of us, perfectly presented , amazing staff and utterly utterly delicious. The atmosphere is as you'd hope - full on Japanese. It's not cheap but with this standard there can be no complaints. Tunbridge Wells is so lucky to have a restaurant like this.

We had such a wonderful night and enjoyed the delicious food and great service as usual. Kiko kindly accepted a bunch of flowers some friends arranged to send there for our daughter’s birthday. It made for a very special occasion - many thanks !

Mixed review. If you’re hoping for a relaxing meals and an opportunity to catch up with friends this is not the place for you. While the food was excellent, the strict 90 minute table allocation is completely insufficient for a sociable evening out with friends. We went for a friends birthday, ordered sushi as a sharing plate, and then ordered mains. We were then told we had to vacate the table in 20 minutes (our food hadn’t arrived) so we had to cancel the order for the main meal, pay up and leave. Very disappointing.

Well presented Japanese fare. Staff were friendly and helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit on Sunday. We will be visiting again, soon. Staff are a credit to the restaurant.

Honestly, this is the best sushi restaurant we’ve ever been to! It’s our go-to spot, and after endless visits, it never disappoints. Every dish we’ve tried has been excellent—always fresh, beautifully presented, and flavourful. The staff are friendly and efficient. Always willing to help and suggest things to try. We can’t recommend it enough!

Amazing food.BUT...they kick you out 1.30 hrs. For 4 people eating and drinking this is not long..They even let us buy another bottle of wine,then proceeded to say we have to leave 10 minutes later!..Almost harassed us to leave...Not impressed

Food is amazing but we were a table of 6 and hugely rushed as table requested back after 1.5 hours. We barely had eaten mains and had to order dessert and 10 minutes later we were asked to leave as the table had another booking

Delicious and fresh food! Obviously everything are make within passion for the Brazilian team! Last Saturday when I have been there with my daughter and sat down on the counter, I clearly saw they work with a lot of synchrony and in a very good and happy mood! A Hidden Gem for Sushi Lovers As an ex-sushi chef, I’m quite particular about quality, and Kiko Sushi Yakitori in Tunbridge Wells did not disappoint. The sushi was exceptional—fresh, well-balanced, and prepared with great attention to detail. The rice was perfectly seasoned, and the fish was top-quality, with standout nigiri and creative maki rolls. Their yakitori was equally impressive, with a beautiful house made yakitori sauce well-seasoned flavors that complemented the meal. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere welcoming. For anyone seeking authentic sushi and yakitori, Kiko is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Great food badly let down by poor service. Really tasty food, enjoyed the sushi and grilled dishes we ordered. We arrived 10min early and were told our table wasn’t ready, but weren’t offered to stay for a drink while we waited so we left and returned. Service was abrupt and rushed. No one checked in to see if our food was OK and table wasn’t wiped down between mains and dessert. The whole experience felt very rushed and was a disservice to the food.

Food was amazing - good sushi is always a pleasure to eat! We also had the vegetable gyoza (fried) and the vegetable tempura. We also had the volcano special rolls, which had a little too much mayo on, but honestly that's just personal preference as they were still delicious! Our waitress was super kind and attentive as well :) will definitely come again!

One of the best restaurants in Tunbridge wells for sure! Always great service and great food. Definitely a place you need to book in advance (Try the miso glazed pork belly yakitori- amazing!)

We really enjoyed the food, but the service didn't match up, especially at the end of the meal. To be fair, we had one lovely waitress, but at 10pm the bill was unceremoniously placed on our table by an unfriendly girl who said - 'here's your bill, we're closing'. She came back less than a minute later brandishing the credit card machine, saying 'cash or card'. No warning and according to google the restaurant closes at 10.30, not 10pm. There were still two other tables and it felt very rushed and unwelcoming after a really nice meal. I've done my time in hospitality and we never finished a table like that especially at £60 a head.

We were very rushed to order and finish our food. The staff were very rude on a Saturday evening and we could actually hear the staff talking about our table and looking over whilst eating our food. Lovely food but very disappointed by the staff etiquette which let the whole experience down.

The food was amazing and service excellent! Also really reasonable in price bearing in mind you always think sushi will be expensive! We sat upstairs at the sunken tables. It was quite noisy but only because we had 6 big guys sitting right next to us so but added to the atmosphere. The 5 of us loved it and will definitely be back.

KIKO has been our favorite spot for a while now. Dinning in or take aways, it’s always as good as it can get. Beside the amazing fresh fish they are always happy to accommodate mine and my partners order preferences (extra philadelphia 😂). We’ve recommend this place to so many friends and family, and if you are in doubt, think no longer. Muito obrigada guys and até logo!!!! 🇧🇷🍣❤️

Good quality of food and service, we went there regularly for the past year, but recently with dramatically increased of price and I can easily find elsewhere with better value, and we won’t go there again.

Excellent food and attentive staff - we loved our meal!

The food was incredible, especially the lava roll and unagi nigiri. We were blown away by the quality of everything and will be back for sure. It felt a bit weird to be asked at 9.30 if we wanted our bill, but maybe that is their process to get you out by 10pm. It was a shame the staff didn’t have a lot of knowledge about the menu and couldn’t answer our questions about the food. But that didn’t take away from a lovely visit.

I happily recommend Kiko and I am looking forward to returning! My suggestions are the momo yakitori - very sweet and pleasant seasoning, the spider salmon dragon roll - extremely nice and crunchy, and the unagi dragon roll - the eel is worth it!

This menu was very well presented and very tasteful. We have attended with our kids this afternoon. The service has been excellent. The flavors have improved since our last visit. The food was remarkably good.

The food is reliable and exceptional. We are extremely fortunate to have such a great Sushi restaurant in Tunbridge Wells on par with THE BEST London Sushi restaurants. Highly recommend Lava Roll, Spicy Lava Roll & All the KIKO Specials with 💙

Great service, amazing food and reasonable set menu

The food tasted great and had a platter with a selection of items. Although we could not try everything on the large menu this visit, we’re looking forward go another visit soon and we’re confident it will all taste amazing.

Kiko is our favourite restaurant - the food is outstanding every time. Fabulous, fresh and tasty sushi, the best sashimi anywhere, the special rolls are absolutely delicious, as is the tempura, and the grills. We have never had anything less than excellent food there. Service is also great - Andrea always does us proud!

Delicious food, great service. Only ever sat downstairs which is quite small, looking forward to seeing the upstairs.

A delicious and clean place to take a break

Came here for my sister’s birthday last weekend and cant believe I haven’t checked it out before! We ordered a selection of dishes to share and everything we got was incredible. The service was fast and professional with lovely friendly waitresses! We had this truffle chicken sushi which was out of this world. I can’t wait to return, a must try in Tunbridge wells!

Our second time coming to Kiko and honestly the service and food were just as amazing as we remembered. Helpful staff, really quick service and incredible food!
