Khas in Wandsworth

We got a take away for the family and the food was just as delicious at home as it is in the restaurant. The amazing flavours never cease to please and the restaurant threw in a couple of extra samosas to try. A firm favourite is the mixed grill! The best grill I’ve had outside of Pakistan. I cannot recommend Khas enough!

I'm reminding myself to keep this brief. This was a brilliant accidental find in Tooting, my partner and I can't get enough and we have been twice in a week since having discovered it. The ambiance is really good with the glass waterfall thing. It's very clean and a nice place to celebrate a dinner with family. The staff are also very hospitable and adjusting. But the food is the real deal here. We have since ordered a LOT of food and almost everything is top quality. I really recommend the Rogan Ghosh, chicken tikka, bhindi sabji and biryani. Oh and the hariyali tikka (my favourite). You know that a South Asian restaurant is worth it when the biryani is this good. The food may be on the spicier side for non-natives but you can always ask them to tone it down for you. My British partner and his family loved the food as well. Oh, and the quantity is so generous (as Indian/Pakistani food should be because it's meant to be shared). I also think the prices are quite good, especially for the ambiance and quality. I think the only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the Dal makhani because it wasn't really Dal makhani. But that didn't matter, the rest of the food made it up for it. It's also BYOB with a corkage fee, so that's always a win too. You have a lot of South Asian restaurants in Tooting but this reminded me of home because that's how authentic the food was! I can't recommend this place enough.

Rude head waiter, delayed food to all tables, food average, had much better in other Tooting restaurants.

Worse experience ever... Staff was very rude and food was very expensive it took them 1 hour to get the food and than I have been asked to wait 40 mins for 1 naan bread.

I went to Khas recently and asked as I was with my elderly parents to make it mild ( less chilly). The starters came, after a long time and was very chilly. You had to download the menu off the internet to see the dishes. My 80 year parents phones aren’t the best in the world so to explain the menu to them was pretty difficult. I asked about portion size so I thought I had ordered enough. When the dishes came after some time again they were again spicy and portions were really small. We had to order more food and wait ages again. Food tastes good but service was not good.

Angela was absolutely exceptional as a waitress - even behind a mask she made us feel at home. Tastiest curry we have ever had, and such a brilliant decor and restaurant. Such fresh food, so tasty. A brilliant BYOB, couldn’t recommend more!

We've been searching for a great curry place since moving to Balham 2yrs ago and Clapham before that. FINALLY! The Rogan Josh Lamb and the Chicken Tikka Bhoona were the best we've ever had. The meat was lovely and tender. Well done team!

Having had some good takeaways here, We thought to go and check the place out being new to the area(moving from tooting). Unfortunately it was quite empty. When we arrived the welcome was fair, however there was a lack of attention to detail, not being attentive at tables and serving Food that had burnt to the bottom of the karahi - ginger, garlic lamb, chilli and whatever else all charred black burnt stuck at the bottom I could even see it myself up the side of the dish above the sauce. Floor staff spent more time glaring at curry nights over the road which was absolutely packed, later on expressing his frustration at coronavirus killing his business. Well considering it was quite dead and you had the opportunity to go above and beyond for the few customers you did have, you failed us! Everything was below average and reminded me of going to other Indian restaurants that were living in the past. Ive been told this place has been great and somewhere people have loved. I do think this was a case of a bad day but based on my experience and other inconsistencies I heard shared between customers I won’t be back.

I was brought to Khas by a native of Pakistan who also lived in Tooting before moving nearby and who knows the cuisine, and local terrain exceptionally well. The restaurant design and setting is quite attractive.. From the moment you enter it is clear the staff has taken many precautions to protect against Covid infection while still preserving a great ambiance. Angela our hostess provided exceptional service. For starters we had Papri Chaat, Chilli Paneer, and both lamb and vegetable Samosa. All were well presented and quite delicious. Our mains were Chicken Tikka Boona and Karahi Gohst (lamb) with Naan. The meats were tender and well cooked. The Naan were light and melted in one’s mouth. I love food from that region of the world and have been to great Restaurants offering the cuisine in major cities on 3 continents ....Khas’s all in dining experience is top drawer. Khas also goes to exceptional lengths to use fresh, organic and healthy ingredients that avoid preservatives. One watch out: Khas only accepts cash so come prepared.

Pakistani Restaurant with great food served by really friendly, efficient staff and cooked by an excellent Chef and spotlessly clean. Bring your own Alcohol with a small corkage charge. Cash only but there is a Cash Machine and Tesco opposite where you can buy chilled Wines and Beer.

A wonderful meal for my daughter's 30th birthday celebration last Sunday. Nothing was too much trouble. Food excellent. Service friendly and efficient. Good hygiene. This was my first meal out since lockdown and we all had a fantastic time.

The ambience and food is fantastic ! But the price and quantity is less. On average a meal with a soft drink will set you back £17-20 per head. Eg a medium plate of nihari for 1 is approx £10 which is ridiculous.

The Lamb Shahi was tough and chewy , more like a stew then a curry. The mushroom gobi smelt off. I binned both and made do with the kebabs which I could have got from a kebab van. Not happy

The Vegetables in the veggie curry didn't appear fresh, and the dish overall looked unappealing. Had the prawn korma from here before and it was amazing but the vegetarian option wasn't great sadly

Delicious food great quality and efficient delivery

First our food was delivered with no rice, rung up and complained, the rice then finally got delivered we went to dish up the rest of the food, we ordered a korma, jalfrezi and masala but ended up getting 2 jalfrezis instead although the packaging said chicken korma on it? I rung up to complain and all they could offer me was £5 of my next order - will never be ordering from here again!

Shocking service. Some of the order was missing after waiting nearly 2 hours for delivery.

Portions were generous but Madras didn't taste like Madras, tikka masala was too sweet and not hot (spicy) as described on the menu. Some of the food was a bit cold

I'll firstly start off with delivery. Was 15 minutes late, but this I believe was due to the area I live looking like a rabbit warren and it was pouring down with torrential rain. The driver did call me and apologised profusely which is a rare thing these days. The meal was the best we have had in a while, the lamb was superb, almost melted in your mouth. The meal was hot (not as in spicy) despite arriving a little later than thought. The naan was soft and freshly made, everything was perfect....but something made it even more so...... I was gifted with a free bottle of wine to go with the meal....How awesome is that? Thank you so much Currylicious.....you have a new regular :)

I collected the meal rushed home to consume the repast, it's was very tastey, its the only authentic Indian around, 10/10! Will order again
