Stunning restaurant, with a calming and exciting atmosphere. 🌸 Waiting staff are super friendly and make every effort to make you feel comfortable. The menu provides lots of information about each dish, with a large variation to choose from. We are so pleased we chose to visit Khaosan road in York! It was without question the best Thai food we have had - the flavours were authentic and reminded us of fond times in Thailand over the years. A highlight was the Tom Yum Goong - the broth was so flavourful and spicy just how I like it. The curries and noodles were also a major hit, sharing the small plates was a gorgeous concept and allowed us to taste a range of lovely dishes.

Food was good, but nothing incredible and definitely not memorable. Decor is tired. But for me the outstanding thing was that the restaurant was cold. I cannot enjoy food when I'm cold.

Very over priced. The portion sizes whilst I appreciate are 'tapas' are priced the same as a normal Thai restaurant main. This restaurant is in York not the West end of London. We spent £85 on just food for 3 people and it wasn't enough. Not value for money. I would not recommend.

The best Thai restaurant in York

The food at khaosan road was exceptional. Every dish we had was full of flavour and so much variety. We particularly enjoyed the massamum lamb curry, the tom sum salad and the salt and pepper mushrooms. We will definitely be coming again.

This place is a gem. The service is first class, the atmosphere is wonderful and the food is even better. I highly recommend the Monsoon Valley Colombians Malaga White wine, you will not be disappointed. Even the toilets were very clean, with flowers on the ceiling. Try this place you will not be disappointed. Quirky and different.

I ate alone when away with work. The restaurant was lovely, with a lovely atmosphere and beautiful decoration. I ordered three plates, which were all delicious! The crispy sea pass was particularly delicious. Service was perfect, the staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful. I will be back!

Busy place, good reviews however I was very disappointed with it. When the server asked how it was, I told her it was all very very salty. Ok she said. From that point no one came to ask us if we wanted a dessert or more drink etc. They just ignored us. We were a table of three and we all agreed that the only taste got got from the food was SALT I’m sorry they didn’t want an honest answer but I feel there wasn’t any need to be so ignorant!!
