Absolutely terrible, there is a problem everytime I go, usually missing food when going through the drive thru. I literally have to check it each time and is wrong 80% of the time. Today I was sent to the parking bay to wait for my ‘drive thru’ food, 20mins past before I had to go in and collect it myself, they had totally lost it and I was going to sit there forever until I sorted it. It’s basic food service, I don’t understand why they get it wrong so often. Needless to say, I’m giving up on using this place now.

New as of 2024, clean, nice decor, went at weekday lunchtime and service remained fast and effective. Ample parking with adjacent LidLand has a drive through too. Careful on approach, the traffic coming from Lidl has right of way from the left hand bend and you have to give way as you cross the carriageway even though it’s straight ahead for you.

I came here when it first opened and there was amazing quick service and good quality food, however I just came back today to treat myself after work and I wish I didn't. I waited 40 minutes for a large boneless banquet meal I get there at half 7pm on a Saturday. There were a bunch of young people supposed to be working however it was only two young tanned boys actually working. There were people in front of me demanding refunds after waiting over an hour. Once they got the manager involved the other staff actually seemed to start working once the manager started shouting at them in front of all of us which is incredibly unprofessional. The only benefit was my food was hot when I got it and correct. I don't recommend coming here now they definitely need better staff and management as there were plenty of staff there tonight but on 2 seemed to want to work. Such a shame this has gone downhill as it was great when they first opened. Also fix your self service machine they have never worked since you open never prints the receipt so have to take a picture of the code or try and remember so you have no proof that the order is yours.

Went to get a quick drive through (2 meals) there was about 8 cars when we got there and it took nearly an hour. When we got our food, it was stone cold (obviously been bagged up and left until we reached the window) Sauces and gravy missing. The kitchen looked absolutely disgusting, floor covered in food and no clean surfaces. Needs decent management in there 🤢 Won’t be back.

By far the worst KFC, I've gone to very slow 🐌 snails pace slow, I waited just over 20 minutes for my order of 2 snack boxes and 1 mega box! 20 mins is unbelievable. I wasn't the only one everyone on instore was waiting this long, but on the drive-through, I see they were waiting under 5mins! So, for us on the front to be waiting 15 minutes more is unacceptable! While I was waiting there was a couple complaining about there just eat order ( I'm guessing it was wrong) and the mangers ( team leaders) response was we're short staff and training people up. How this store is operating I will never know?! Why was there not a senior member of the team (assistant manager or store manager) working on a payday Friday night baffles me! Good luck to this store. You are set to fail and get more complaints if this carries on. Train your staff on quiter days, definitely not payday weekend, and put a senior member of staff on a payday weekend.

Just ordered from here, ordered two rice boxes and drinks. Rice boxes was more like an empty box, barely anything in the box itself a couple of scoops of rice, half a slice of cheese (which I paid extra for) and a hash brown (which again I paid extra for). I had to ask for them to put the salad in there, as there was none even thou I order it with everything in the boxes. Drinks were half empty as well, but to be fair when I asked them if they could fill it to the top they just got me a completely new one and let me keep the old one as well, so extra drink which is a win, win. Cleanliness is also a bit of an issue, food every on the floor and the tables. Pretty sure I didn’t even have to order my food but grabbed the scraps of food that were scattered around everywhere in the restaurant and could’ve made a 14 piece family bucket for myself. Overall won’t be coming back

It was 8pm on Thurs when I drove into the Drive Thru... 4 staff members were on a break. The lovely girl who answered the Orders asked me to wait (there was only 1 car at the Pay/Collect window).... I waited 3 minutes. She took my order, I went to the Pay/Collect where the first car was... they waited about 6 mins while I parked behind them. When I pulled up I had to wait another 3 mins... 12 Minutes!!! The friendly girl who served me said they were short staffed.... I said there were 4 staff outside when I pulled up. I drove 15 minutes from my Hotel in Shedfield as this was the nearest KFC and we really fancied it. I read a lot of reviews and was put off to be honest. I then decided to read the latest 5 and they were excellent. I have to say that I have only one word for my whole experience here at 19:15 and that is "Flawless" The male member of staff who took my order and served it was so friendly and respectable. There was one car in front but I was served and on my way within about 3 minutes. I bought a large bucket of different items and all was perfect. I got back to my hotel room 15 minutes later and the food was still hot. It was all very fresh and extremely tasty. I am really glad that I ignored the negative reviews and chose to see for myself. I write a lot of reviews for places and businesses so always try to be fair and unbiased. I definitely recommend this outlet.

Terrible experience here. Drive thru always closed for no reason whatsoever and order is always wrong. Literally everytime it takes forever to get my order (even when there are no other customers there) and the staff are always on their phones when I'm sat there waiting. Order is literally wrong everytime too I went in the other day for a zinger salad and the drive thru was shut with a cone in front of it at 11pm for no reason, I went in to ask and the woman said "oh we didn't realise the drive thru was shut" and then I ordered a zinger salad from the inside as I was already in the building and it took 50 minutes. It's literally just a salad and there was no one else there. Absolutely shocking service and terrible staff. Wouldn't recommend unless you want to wait ages for food that is different to what you asked for.

We go to the dive thru and on every occasion for the last six months or so , the assistant at the ordering machine is so completely miserable, has zero customer service skills , rude, hurried and it's so unappealing... When at the window to collect the food, we are never greeted , nobody says hello ,or thank you , we never get the right food , we never get any sauces or cutlery . It's a complete shambles. After completing an online collection order, had to wait for 50 mins after arrival to get the order. The restaurant had run out of certain items which we were told about at the point of collection only. By the time we got our meals home, the chips were no longer hot as they were sat on the side the longest. Lots of other annoyed and long waiting customers there too. Service is really slow and you would normally wait nearly 30 minutes to get your food. Only one person serving and a lot of the time your order is wrong. Need to up their game.

Abusive staff unwilling to assist when I had difficulty ordering at the kiosk. Argued that kiosk working well. I walked away. They obviously are not interested in customers. Later tried BK at Fleet Services - they could not have been more different. Friendly and helpful.

After months of giving it a go, we have finally given up on this place. The attraction was the spacious stylish venue, imaginative lunch/brunch menu, (some) pleasant if rather harassed staff, dog friendly and a pleasant location on a favourite Winchester riverside walk. Plus we could generally get a table, unlike lovely Greens that gets so busy on a weekend. During the week it’s reserved for tenants of the co-working space and in the early phase there was a lot of confusion about when/if it was open to the public, with inadequate signage and staff unable to communicate the arrangements clearly. After a bit, that got sorted out and it entered a golden age that lasted for a chunk of last year. Some great food (like the warm pear salad, bubble and squeak and wedges of pear cake) and better organisation. The place seemed better organised and the staff seemed less stressed. Alas it has now taken a real dive. Food quality dipped, items served soggy or burnt, shrinkflation apparent in the bakery items, the nice fresh cakes replaced with mass-produced tasting flapjacks. ‘Large’ coffees that would be considered a regular size in most places. Overseen by a supervisor with patronising and officious manner who I saw shouting at a small child who dared venture onto an (unsigned) staircase leading to a private area.. At our last visit, the lunch menu was inexplicably unavailable at 1.30pm - only breakfast items. But we could see lunch dishes being served to a party on a nearby table. An allergy request was completely ignored and when we complained I was first offered a grudging ‘sorry-not-sorry’ by the sour-faced supervisor (sorry but not her fault that the server hadn’t passed on the message). When I said that wasn’t good enough, when you’re dealing with customers’ safety, I was then told off for being rude. So that’s it for us, not going back. Feel sorry for the better servers, it must be a tough place to work.

This place is my favourite because all the staff are lovely and helpful, i go through the drive through at least once a day to get my one shot latte and sometimes with a friend i sit in and the latte is amazing

We always like this pub for food and that the costs are kept at a decent price. Always give you good size portions too. We have found staff always busy, the thing is you can’t tell if it’s a pub or a restaurant. Which is quite confusing, trying to do both and when you’re queuing you don’t know if it’s for food or just drinks. There is one lady there that is quite rude to people but we didn’t see her this time. But this lady will ruin this pub if she isn’t careful. But we do like the food here!

We have been staying at the Solent for years and in the past have always loved it. We have not been since lockdown, what a disappointment. It's gone really down hill, everything from the rooms , the staff and especially the food and drinks, awful. Won't be staying again.
