Not enjoyable food but staff were friendly

Great service, especially as I have a very restricted diet.. Throughly enjoyed my food and was great level of service..

Over all the food was great and delivery was hot (including the drinks cans). No one bothered to push in the piece of cardboard to indicate which was the zinger burger so we had to guess which was which and unfortunately got it wrong. So there were two disappointed children with the wrong burgers.

Not my choice but kids enjoyed it. Staff are friendly and helpful. Was also very clean

Seems like my last complaint about the lack of being able to look at the big screens and decide what you want to order and actually order via an human being have been completely ignored. So they revamp the whole shop and design it so the customers are forced into using the self service devices. In our opinion this takes away the jolly experience of actually going to a KFC. I can honestly say I don't get the same buzz from attending a KFC anymore, and feel discouraged from even going to a KFC. What next self service fish and chip shops? All I can say is modern trends are just supporting agism and removing customers from a certain age to ever going to these places. I dont even like the self service check outs at ASDA, we normally end up asking for help from staff anyway. Whats the point?

Weekly treat for my boys enjoyed it all

I've ordered through delivery app twice and had mixed experiences. One order took two hours while the other was more like 30 minutes. However both times have given me food poisoning. I'm not sensitive to any food and frequent other fried chicken places. I also go to other KFCs and have no problem. So I can only assume something with the food at this location isn't right.

I had a takeaway turned up cold and could not through on telephone as line permanently engaged even engaged today so no way to complain

Don’t advertise being open till 10 on Sunday if at 9:40 you close the doors…

I like KFC, but from this branch it always seems to be sub standard. I have been all over the country and enjoyed the food, but from St Austell it always leaves me disappointed.

**WARNING THIS KFC GAVE US FOOD POISONING!!*** My partner had a vegan burger from bere on the 26th January 2025, she's has got food poisoning from it! She has been very ill since eating it, approximately 6hrs after eating the vegan burger she has had very bad sickness etc and 48hrs later still poorly ! We have kept leftovers and will be sending them to food standards agency!

The newly refurbished seatings area is well designed, which makes the whole restaurant look great 👍 The ordering area is well presented and organised. Love the new upgraded toilets as well! The recycling ♻️ area is very well presented with clear information and beautifully designed. The staff on duty were welcoming, friendly, and efficient. The zinger burgers are freshly prepared and delicious 😋 ; I'm just disappointed that the hot wings are overcooked and dry.

The cleanest KFC I ever visited, also the staff extremely friendly and attentive Fried chicken in the burger and wrap a bit too dry but the atmosphere compensated

don't normally have KFC very often but first time I been in there for a while omg they refurbished the place it's so much better and the food is amazing alot improved from the last time I was there the chips are very well seasons and the burger was very well presented not just chucked in a box with veg everywhere well done KFC St.Austell

Had a lovely meal with family while visiting them in Cornwall. However, I was absolutely gobsmacked that you couldn't get a coffee or a full-fat Pepsi as they were no longer on the menu 😱 We had to go to the McDonald's next door for a full-fat coke/pepsi

So much better after their recent refurbishment. The place looks so much more modern, machines are sleek and fast, and the general atmosphere is great. Staff are friendly as always and food is tasty and always comes quick.

Disguised a large fries by hiding it in a large bag, extremely expensive. Not everything in stock. Only offer diet drinks. KFC gone woke and downhill. Disappointed

WARNING THIS KFC MADE ME SICK I went there and first they were rude at me so I ordered food and it had hair in it and a fly was fried into the chicken I got very sick afterwards

whent late at night food really greasy compared to my local kfc. staff just talking amongst them selves not interested in helping people who had not been to this particular restaurant. more concerned with dilivety drivers

The staff at this KFC , that I have dealt with on three visits, are exceptional, very attentive, helpful and customer focused. They're an exceptional team, very well trained, very friendly and professional with a level of skill that frankly is unusual now in this country. I have only given three stars for atmosphere as the building is pretty standard KFC, but it's the service and the food that make it stand out.

Better than maccies but pricier, just go to Niles

Chicken frazzled to death. Even the dog struggling to eat it . Probably not the best. Very disappointed

THEY REHEAT CHICKEN! My partner and my 6 year old had it last night and they got food poisoning! Both throwing up all night/day today. Will never return again! Hoping for a refund if I’m honest because to pay that money for chicken and get food poisoning from it is absolutely disgusting!

Good place to have peace and enjoy your meal

I came here after watching my dad die in the hospice down the road. Well what can I say other than it was a much needed distraction from what I had just witnessed. Food was nice, unsure of her name but there was a lady with dark hair in a bun that was training somebody and she was so nice despite the business and a rude customer she had to deal with. Thank you St Austell KFC for bringing my 5 stages of grief down to 4 🙏🙏

My experience at kfc st Austell was really positive the staff were so kind and helpful. One member of staff helped me select what I wanted on the machine and her support was superb

Gross food, the staff laughed because I wanted to try their food the first time and didn't know what anything was but I wouldn't go back ever again.

Excellent place to wind down while enjoy your favourite crispy fried chicken.

Ordered a twelve piece boneless bucket from the self-service screens for the three of us to share. Fairly quiet, so we're in and out in ten minutes. Food was up to scratch and had decent portion sizes, so much so that there was some leftover for the next day.

Ordered food on self service screen, received within a minute after ordering, all food was hot that was meant to be and tasted incredible. Knocked off a star overall and two stars on atmosphere as the toilets were quite horrible, toilet roll dispenser did not work in the men's toilet and there was urine all over the seat. Plus no big flush button, only the small one. Apart from that, it was a lovely and clean site.

We blooming love KFC. The fries knock socks off of other fast food outlets, so does the garlic mayo! It's a bit pricey for what it is. This outlet is great. Very clean and fast service. Would choose this one over Bodmin, which is often really dirty. Highly recommended.

Dine in unavailable at 8pm despite app saying 9.30pm. Very busy in evenings but food is always fresh hot and tasty

This is by far the best kfc in Cornwall and probably beyond. Been here on multiple occasions and the food is always delicious and service is efficient.

Ordered 5 pieces of chicken on the app for delivery, so disappointed when every piece was a chicken leg! I don’t like chicken legs but sort of expect you may get one … two if you’re unlucky …. All five of mine were legs!! Not happy at all it’s pathetic! Don’t order unless you love chicken legs.

Very poor. Zinger supercharger (£12!) came WITHOUT hash brown on it and the side of corn on the cob missing too!! Appalling. The fries looked like someone had eaten half of them. I weighed them and they were 50g..... Shocking value.

We always stop here when in St. Austell. This time, the food was awful. Chicken had been warmed up. Skin was soggy on the chicken and the chips were overloaded with salt. Pepper and something else. I'm not sure what it was, I couldn't eat them.worse one ever

This kfc was clean and tidy and the staff were very helpful, it was really nice, the food was good although my chips were a little cold but the rest was lovely and the staff were really polite, clean, tidy had a lovely demeanor.

Went in and ordered a takeaway 3 pc meal but when I got home I discovered they had given me 3 legs!!!. Come on guys ,there should be a least one breast pc!!! Hadn't realised there were so many 3 legged chickens in Cornwall

Quick and easy take away. Need to put tops on their buckets or tell people they don't have them on. This will stop the food emptying into the bag!

Food was rubbish, what we ordered was not what we got, and what was right had just been slung in the bag. There was one other person in the restaurant who was already eating so god knows why the wait so long and there was around 8 staff around. I'm glad we didn't eat in as the restaurant it's self was in a disgusting state.

Toilets absolutely disgusting. Not clean whatsoever. Toilet paper everywhere which was on the leading onto the restaurant floor. Was told no sauces when others were given them. Cobwebs covered all ceiling light shades. Had used feature on box to show which was zinger and which was original. Food barely warm and sloppy put together

Went here yesterday. I do not enjoy coming here but other family members do. I used to like KFC but standards nowadays means quality is poor. Chicken sandwich was cold and on a cold day, cannot get a hot drink. My wife had 2 pieces of chicken. 1 wing and 1 chicken rib, so no meat. Feel like disowning some family members. Eat in, from take away bag?

Never had a disappointing meal from here ever. Always hot, always delicious. Service is always good. Jordan served us our drinks and what a lovely lad. Making sure we had everything we needed and great with conversation. Keep up the good work.

Decent KFC very busy but all the food was lovely and standard KFC parking was busy but we managed to get a space and pop into the Tesco direct while there

Took my sister out for a cheeky takeout and this is what my partner chose. The food was done quickly and efficiently (and it was all hot!) so it was enjoyable, even for my 8 months old son who tucked into some chips and a nugget! We've normally enjoyed visiting this particular restaurant since opening, never having any real issues here at all. Friendly staff, easy parking and tasty food. What more can you ask for?

Ordered on -line to arrive there only to be told to pay again. Walked away without food and had to block the payment with the bank.

It’s a KFC, you don’t go here for quality food only convenience, however it’s certainly better quality than my local KFC in Lowestoft…but that’s not difficult to be fair!

I had a disappointing experience at KFC recently. Despite being a loyal customer, I had to wait for over 20 minutes for my food, which was quite frustrating. To add to the disappointment, the staff were quite rude, making the whole visit unpleasant. Improvements in service and attitude are needed 🍗🚫

Large kfc,they could do with cleaning up the entrance as it was cluttered with rubbish. Lots of tables inside. The chicken in my wrap was hard so I threw it away,it was late so didn't bother to complain as they were trying to clean up to close.

I believe KFC in England must be more popular than in the USA. Food was great and staff was efficient under dinner time rush pressure. Nice job!

Drive 7.5 miles home to whitemoor only to find only 1/2 the order was in the bag. Wife called them only to be told "well we're very busy and under staffed" when actually when I was in there it was empty apart from one other person. So drove back to get food sorted which after an attitude from the manager finally sorted. So 22.5 miles of wasted fuel and time Regards very unhappy customer

I always thought KFC no matter which country you got it was supposed to be the same - NO - very bland in the UK, obviously not using the special KFC spices, very disappointed. Definitely better in Aus.

Typical KFC experience really, food was hot and not over greasy, the restaurant was clean from what I could see but the highlight on this visit were the staff, particularly the cheerful and happy young female member of staff who was serving on her own, she even had time to show another customer how to install the app on their phone to order on it for future reference. Well done for the great customer service.

We called well before it closed but they had almost run out of food so not much choice at all. I would not recommend it

Despite it being early and no customers, they managed to leave out 2 parts of our order. Check you've got all your food before leaving!

Great and friendly service. A KFC that tasted good, too many have become greasy or otherwise unpleasant but they were great.
