Great food all hot... One of the better kfc's

It's a standard KFC at the motorway services. You know what you're getting and you know its going to be a little more than the average KFC.

Overpriced motorway service station food

Very busy motorway service station. Payed for but didn't receive my hot drinks. Felt sorry for staff. Intense pressure put on them.

The food was what you expectfromKFC, but the seating area is worn out and in need of a refurbishment. There were big tears in the seats, and it generally felt a bit grubby.

That was a very nice burger 🍔 😋

No gravy, no forks, dirty tables

Loos not used, but Pret a Manage had an outlet with limited (for the usual offer) food that was very good with quick and friendly service - plus no queue!

If using the app double check you are ordering to WEST not East. Accidentally ordered the Eastbound service on the app. I admit it was partly my fault for not checking properly. (But they were also very unhelpful when I was asking how to order correctly on the app to use a student discount I had.) They told me to go to the other one and to go down a road that said "authorised access only" and "CCTV". After a lot of repeated asking about how to cancel they finally made my order after speaking to the Eastbound branch. The food was fine. The atmosphere is ok considering it's a service station.

Served by 'Ricardo' here on a Sat aft (1st June). What a lovely young man and a pleasure indeed to be served by him. Polite and 'very' helpful! Food was hot and well enjoyed. The service received definitely added to the food tasting better, I'd say. Having returned since and bought two box meals on two separate occasions (Sun 9th and Sun 16th), it's 'very' regrettable I have to say, both the food and the service received was sub-optimal and shoddy! The four piece meal I'd ordered tho' I'd asked for thighs and legs, I was only given legs. While it's a passable error the pieces had little to NO skin on them, patchy at best .... and looked like a dog's dinner! I'd 'never' previously received such 'abhorrent' meat pieces in my kfc order. And NOT hot/warm either .... so, suffice it to say the meal wasn't enjoyed and I was indeed disappointed! I did go back in and leave feedback and seemingly well received, or so I thought! But I was sadly mistaken .... ! The fillet box meal bought on Sun 16th was an utter 'SHAMEFUL' disappointment! Mine was the last order on the night and there was indeed a power outtage shortly before closing, lasting @4mins or so, when the systems shut down causing an appreciable backlog of orders. When I finally received my order, it was COLD and the fries 'dry'! The meal paid for certainly wasn't enjoyed and a definite disappointment indeed! My last two orders at this kfc branch a sharp contrast to the ones had before, nothing to complain about and which were indeed enjoyed. BUT the ones had recently .... a disappointment and a disaster indeed! NOT worth what you pay for, given it's overpriced to begin with, being on the motorway. Liam as Manager needs to heed the many reviews posted on here that repeatedly cite, 'INCONSISTENCY' of meals served at this branch. It would greatly help with improved service, if he were to do so. And also to be open to what the customer has to say than merely listening unreservedly to your staff BUT instead to have a fair and unbiased listening manner, IS a needed trait of someone in a managerial role. Please note. It's only for Ricardo's appreciable service prior that I've given a 5*. Or else, it surely would've been a knockdown 1*/negative!

Chicken not great. KFC in name only. Was dry and much more like a bog standard Friday night chicken shop then what the Colonel intended.. plus it'll cost you more than a standard KFC too. Best avoided unfortunately

Very salty like way more than normal had to leave most of my food. God knows what went wrong.

Waited about twenty minutes. Food was sat for 15 minutes as the manager pointed it out to workers… waiting on hot wings to complete the order. Could have provided the order and then done the hot wings later or subbed it but instead let the meal sit and go cold.

Expensive compared with the other outlets.

Regular stop after a visit to the office, always clean, bright and shops stocked up. It's a trusted visit

Fast food food however expensive due to motorway service

Tried to order at the screen, it told me that there was a problem so I had to queue at the counter to order which took forever as they were totally understaffed. Had to then wait ages for the order and then, a few days later, found out I had been charged twice for one meal. There appears to be no way to contact them about it. Won't be returning

One of the best kfcs I ever been too ,food is always consistent and tasty , sometimes the printer don't work on the self service machine,so remember or photo your order number

Expensive and very disappointing

The service was very poor, we waited 45 minutes for our food and had to go to the counter as they lost our order. By the time we got our food there must have been around 30 people waiting for their orders. Despite this the food was delicious

Was craving a KFC, it tasted good but was a long wait for the food considering only 4 other people in front of me and the burger didn't match the marketing picture in the slightest. Zinger Tower burger was tasty and have KFC changed their fries? They are really nice! Not cheap, almost £20 for 2 meals. Pepsi Max tasted good. Ketchup and mayo are free, but you need to ask for them at counter.

I ordered rice box it showing in order display that it included beans and rice but they didn’t put beans in it 🥴

I love KFC. And this spot has been a good place to get some chicken and take some rest during a long drive. I've usually visited in the evening on my travels, and it's always quiet - which I enjoy!

Slowest experience ever. Get more staff! The poor staff are clearly overwhelmed!!

The food was great, the service was ok, but the server had to prepare as well as pack? Either the staff have a problem or not enough staff??

Worlds slowest KFC - can't cope with in person customers and is handling delivery orders as well.

Never enough staff on cooking duty so food always takes ages to arrive with some of your order standing around whilst you wait for the rest.

Love KFC it’s always good. Unfortunately the wait at this outlet is beyond a joke. Three poor soles trying their best. Services are not that busy but there are insufficient staff working. A shambles just starts to cover this one. We've been back,We should not have bothered, absolutely atrocious food and service.The counter is filthy and covered in drinks,so your food bags are wet before you start eating,no one wipes up or cleans.The tables are filthy,the screens are filthy,just avoid this tip at all costs,never again for us.

As far as KFC's go, this wasn't at all bad.

It's a bit tired. Eastbound is much better.

Had the KFC bucket deal with my daughter and it was lovely and the service was good. We sat down to eat and it was lovely and quiet just what we needed when taking a break from driving

Unfortunately, 1 star is being generous. For starters the ordering machines weren't working properly. Eventually, after navigating through the atmosphere of a morgue, the order went through and figured because they've only been open an hour we'd be in and out in a flash, but no. 20 minutes later we're still waiting for food, the staff all looking half asleep are either on their phones or wiping their noses in their sleeves (and not cleaning hands at all from our view). Assuming we were waiting for a fresh batch to cook, we were surprised to find everything was overcooked and dry as a nun, half a portion of fries, drinks that seemed to be a mix of all the liquids available, the wrong burger (ordered a fillet tower and got a mini fillet in the box) and 1 piece chicken that was solid, tasteless and all bone. Unfortunately we didn't find this out until on the move but even if we did have the chance to complain, I doubt we'd be able to get through the brick wall glaze of those behind the counter. We understand there are off days, but we've been here a few times previously and each time something has been a miss. Such a shame when you think this prime location could be buzzing with a bit of care and attention.

Issues resulted in 45 minute delays. Staff where offering refunds due to timings.

£29 for 2 meals so didn't bother to expensive.

A bit slow serving tbh looked short staffed, the staff there were rushing about. Food was a bit cold but ok.

I had to wait a bit, but the food was delicious.

Stopped late in the evening after a long journey. Had the chicken burger for the first time in ages. Tasted really good. Very quick service.

It's KFC, what's not to love! Ok so I did have to go back 2x as orders were wrong but in fairness each time was sorted immediately without fuss. Difficult to score a service station highly (other than farmhouse services on m40 which are worth travelling for!) But it was clean with plenty of seating around the place.

The staff were really miserable and unhappy looking. Tried to talk to them 3 times only to get ignored. Then the food came out missing items. What we did have was cooked nicely. Just the whole service itself could have been better.

Extremely unorganised, the member of staff who served me spoke poor English and didn't understand what the Variety Meal was (A standard set meal), and had to call over two of her colleagues to help her, they spent over five minutes fiddling with the till trying to find the order. I informed her I did not want a chicken leg which she dutifully called out to the staff preparing the meals, however upon eventually receiving the meal - after having waited another15 minutes it come as no surprise to find a chicken leg in the box. I went back and returned the box and the member of staff who served me was very apologetic and exchanged the chicken leg. However, the two pieces of chicken were minuscule and like the chips were dry and only luke warm. I couldn't be bothered to complain as there were several people getting frustrated with the staff and others who had been waiting in the queue for a while becoming noticeably impatient, infact two potential customers actually walked off in frustration. The poorest quality Kentucky Fried Chicken I've had and most definitely not worth the £9.99 I was charged, which I also think was incorrect. A terrible experience and extremely poor customer service.

Was quiet, got food quickly, correctly and can't complain to be honest.

Now I have had my fair share of KFC in my time but this time the chicken was the worst I have ever had. The outside was burnt almost and the inside so dry that even dipping it in my gravy didn't help. This KFC I have tried more than once to give the benefit of the doubt and it is the same everytime. I wouldn't bother earing here. Staff were OK although one or two of them really look that glum and as they could think of other better things to do than be there.

Stop off on way home from Stansted Airport

Only do a selection of the usual KFC menu, no tower burgers, machine never gave me a receipt but luckily I had no issue collecting my food

i swear to god nobody was there and was waiting literally 15 minutes to get served, in the end i went to costa and got a tomato and mozzarella panini. don’t ever go to this kfc they won’t serve you, don’t know how to do a simple job silly employees

Okay toilets but need regular cleaning.

Only a few disabled parking spaces, had to park over two spaces, to be able to get wheelchair to passenger door. Used disabled toilet, floor was very very slippery, it was as if soap had been put on the floor. Not good for people with mobility issues

I waited more than one hour for my order.

Chicken was dry. And stuck in my throat. As someone with a hiatus, it wasn't very pleasant. The bag packer used bare hands to pack the chicken and chips.

Ok motorway stop. Quite a few outlets, Greggs, M&S, Burger king etc. Something for everyone.👍

About what you would expect from a kfc at a rest stop

Atrocious service! Had to wait ages for the order. Its a KFC so you know what you are getting. Mine was freshly fried and hot. The order machine would not let me change my drink which was annoying,and the fire alarm went off so we had to evacuate! All in all not the best experience.

The manager was useful in resolving the issue on order. Staff need more training on customer service.

The floor was sticky as you walked in Rubbish on the floor. Bins Overflow Tray still on table with rubbish on. And had to tell members of staff About Hygiene and cleaning the rubbish of the Table

The best KFC I ever had we were on our way to Cornwall and stopped for a bite and it was absolutely gorgeous, crispy skin and it was freshly made the chips were so good too.

Convenient mid journey break at 2:30 am on the way to catch a ferry to France. Enjoyed a Costa coffee with a cookie Toilets spotless.

The food was standard KFC food, edible but nothing special. Staff looked bored and in need of motivating (if it's possible to motivate someone to work for a fast food restaurant).

I bought a dinner from Chow and one from KFC. While waiting for my KFC order, I sat at a table with my chow dinner by KFC. When my KFC order number was called, I went over to collect it and in the minute or two I was away from the table someone cleared my chow meal away along with the condiments and straws I had. Hence I wasn't very happy.
