I dined in today, lots of seat options as it is a service station. Overall the staff were very friendly and was sure to smile at all the customers. It was quite busy and they sold out of mash but were very polite and offered me their over options available and the food was prepared quickly (was also very tasty) Then went up to get krushems and the woman had very good customer service skills and was very patient with me as I was deciding which one to get. Very friendly staff, nice looking dining area, food prepared quickly- would definitely recommend . Only gave four stars on food as they had ran out of mash.

The staff didn’t now what their doing and I’ve waited at the counter for 30min for a staff member to help me with the order and they kept saying someone is coming and no one turned up so I gave up. The staff aren’t trained well and they just don’t care. Worst service ever. The food was up to the standards but the service was not up to the mark.

Asking them for napkins seems to be a huge inconvenience to the staff too. In general the staff seem to lack basic good manners. Decent seating area in the middle of the services. It's good food, but poor service.

Stopped here before a work shift, I thought there was a piece of chicken missed on my order and although I hadn’t seen it, when I said I can I just double check there’s a chicken fillet inside, the response I got was “what’s in the box” I so actually taken back by this that I said “sorry” and the girl said exactly the same thing again… my order took 15mins to receive. Will not use again after this experience

The girl behind the counter looked as though she hated everyone except her manager. The service was incredibly slow, and the way she chucked the food into boxes was like she had a chip on her shoulder. Absolutely miserable. Also an effort for her to put anything in a bag. Every person collecting their takeaway had to ask for one. The food felt like it had been sitting there all afternoon and the gravy was like water. Appalling for the price of it in my opinion!

This is supposed to be a fast food outlet. It was so slow and the staff were lost. You have to order at one of 2 screens and the queue was 10 people long which meant it was also very slow and it took 10 minutes to get to the ordering screen. Really very poor service. Not enough staff. Waited for 10 minutes after we ordered. Then the food was cold and not very well presented.

Turned up at around 7:30pm on a Sunday night on our way home from Stansted and I think it must have been 'training night'. The staff were clueless and we watched our order appear and then disappear off their screens without any sign of actually being served - which seemed to amuse them just as much as it annoyed us. Always enjoy a bit of KFC but can't recommend this place other than to say it's very close to other food outlets!

The past two times in a row they have missed several items but has happened several times before. The way they stack it means its hard to check so you only notice once you get home. Even when you get them to repeat what's in there there is still things missing. When you call no one answers. All you can do is drive back. No refund, no replacement items. So by the time you have everything and you are back home the rest of you food is cold. Quite a bad choice, AVOID when you are only stoppIng in as you are exhausted after a busy week and wanted to get a easy treat for the family. More hassel and agro than its worth.

Computer self-ordering "checkout" where you're then given an order number. The order number is displayed on a screen by the counter and when it's ready you just go up and collect it. Really easy to use and the food is fresh and good quality.

Came here on the way down south. Just a quick stop for a quick bite. A sunny day and we had our Bulldog with, so we took a table outside in the picnic area. It was busy, so ordering took a while, but still fine. Had a combo with two fried chicken burgers, wings and two kinds of chips. Two cokes with that. We were happy with the standard here. It was nice and hot. Still crispy and crunchy. Felt freshly prepared. Prices fair. All we looked for and all we expected. A nice quick meal. Would stop here again.

We do love KFC but in all honesty the jewel in the bucket this is not...! Very slow and inefficient. We didn't order much at all, and the 3/4 people working just seemed to be aimlessly wondering about most of the time. Food was average and not overly warm. Also as this is a service station you pay extra (compared to normal high street KFC) for the privilege of it taking longer! My recommendation is to use one of the other multiple food outlets at this service station - especially if you just want something quick so you can get going again!

Would of placed the order on the app and then collected or got it delivered but neither was working. On arrival the only way of ordering was by the two touch screens which seems crazy, they weren't taking any orders at the counter, so had to queue and wait 15 mins to place my order on the touch screen. By comparison McDonald's have at least 7 touch screens and you can also order at the counter, and no surprise, no queues. 2 ordering touch screens and no counter service is absolutely abysmal! Some people do actually want to speak to someone and be served in person, and do not want to use the touch screens. ( which is a breeding ground for germs and no sanitizer in sight) But it seems that there is no option 😕 Whilst placing my order i tried to add a free reward from the app with the QR code provided. This also did not work and there was no receipt given by the machine, so had to take a picture of my order number for collection. Once I had placed my order I then had to endure another painful 15 minute wait for my food! To add insult to injury I was given Pepsi instead of the peach ice tea that I had ordered and the chips were cold and unappetising too. All in all a very poor effort from KFC. My advice is to either go to another branch or use McDonald's at the services instead.

Too busy for the staff to handle the footfall! The manager seemed highly strung with a passive aggressive manner towards his staff. I wondered why whilst I waited to be served. The same manager served me. All I wanted was a family feast 10 pieces with sides of coleslaw and beans...also 2 addons of 2 large sides for £2.99 each to takeaway...he just didn't get it and a got impatient... I knew he would take my order incorrect...which he did! So came the long wait....whilst I waited I witnessed many customers who were eating in the dining area coming back for incomplete orders and incorrect orders...so when I did received the order I was tempted to check but was too impatient to check...when I got home to no surprise the order was wrong! This didn't bother me as much as the size of the chicken pieces or should I say looked like chicken nuggets. The chips were happy meal size...10 to12 chips in each bag...what the hell.. has brexit, fuel prices, inflation and austerity measures created these measures.....put your prices up if required and give larger chicken pieces and proper portions of chips... I wish I had bought 2 family feasts now...on a positive note..the food did taste good even though quantity was like family feast for one...

There's only one person in the front doing everything and this review isn't only about the place but about the customers they get. Some customers are very selfish as there is only 1 staff member in the front handling everything due to lack of staff members but I still see rude customers demanding at the till for service. This isn't right. You guys have to be considerate. Yes you're order may not be correct but please have some patience with the staff at the front till. Some customers literally ill treating them and the managers are not taking any notice :(

Ordered food for a takeaway for the family after being out driving since 5am this morning and what a let down, took ages to even be served when there wasn’t even any customers, one at the back doing nothing just looking and not even seeing to anyone and another hiding away in a side room. Eventually got my food after I had to wait while they were seeing to a customer complaining about uncooked food. Got home to find the food was horrendous, burnt an dry and mostly wing portions, if it wasn’t a half hour drive back I would have brought it back and demanded a refund for this trash I was served. Seriously boycott KFC and order from Chicken Cottage, a lot better food by miles. Will definitely not be eating KFC trash again.
