KFC Camborne - Trevenson Gateway in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Ordered from Just Eat, was told 40 to 50 minute wait time, arrived 1 hour 40 minutes after making the order. Soggy food, cold. Left a review on the Just Eat app as the courier couldn't explain to me why it was so late and just walked off.

How are they still open? Filthy tables, overflowing bins and stale chicken avoid 0/10

The food is nice, but very very greasy and unhealthy. I found the service slightly lacking as some of the staff (not all) were rude and unhelpful. As for the atmosphere, it was just a bit soulless, which is what you'd expect from a fast food restaurant, but this one seemed even more so. Overall I'd say it's good if you're starving and need something to eat, but other than that I wouldn't recommend it.

Just eaten in this place, my partner had to return the chips twice as they was cold, to be told its not our fault its the door opening making them cold! The place was empty and yet they still cooked more chips and placed them in the rack. Clearly don't understand hot holding temperatures! The floor was slippery and like a river which is understandable with the weather but when the staff are stood around doing nothing, surely dry moping the floor would be a good use of time. Lastly one of the staff was literally warming their hands over the chips leaning in. I'm sure the EHO would have a field day tonight in there.

Place was generally unpleasant....food on floors, dirty tables and chairs...food not great and incomplete order...obviously a bad day for them

Tables are filthy Also bought a mighty bucket meal, says 2 piece chicken? Had one and a pile of bones, I complained and was told by the manager that she doesn’t grow the chicken lol ! Great service NOT!

Very poor service today, young lady was quite rude throwing food out at me then slamming window, we didn't get chance to ask for cups or ant pleasantries, will not return here

This place never ever lives down its lack of happiness .. not had kfc such a long time really fancied and now I honestly know why I hate this junk . Bag out window into car drive for 30 seconds open bag — all bleedy cold I think the cheese was trying to melt but gave up .. how can these places exist to serve such overpriced rubbish ?

For a start the restaurant inside was messy and unclean, litter over the floor, greasy table top. The best bit once we got home was the fact most of the kids box meal was missing. How can this happen. Some one all but packed an empty box. .first and last time going. Will NOT be visiting there

I arrived late to be honest about 40 mins before they closed and I placed my order... They took the order and charged it to my card... All ok up to this point... I then waited for the food... When the food was handed to me I thanked them and pulled away... There was nobody behind me... I felt the food and it was literally stone cold... Definitely not warm, not even tepid... So I reversed back to the window... The lady who served me took my flamin wrap and told me I could swap it.... I asked her what my choices were and she said I could have "literally what I want" I chose a fillet burger and offered to pay the extra... She said that was ok and she gave me the food after a short wait and I drove off... Anyway, very long story cut shorter.... Everything was cold... Absolute rubbish and a massive disappointment.... I will not be going back

After queuing quarter hour at least was accosted by a man targeting the queuing for money and no escape once stuck in that que. Eventually got to ordering place and was told be with u soon ..I didn't bother what joke ..lovely burger from outside tesco though 😋

Usually, this KFC branch is one of the better ones, in fact, one of the best I've been to (and I've been to a lot of them!)but this time I felt compelled to leave a review as it was SHOCKING! The store was understaffed, and the drive-through was closed so I assume this caused even more people to come into the restaurant to order. So upon arrival, almost every table was taken up by people waiting for food! So we kind of knew we would be in for a bit of a wait, but at least thought the food would be super fresh, because they couldn't seem to cook it quick enough. I paid cash, so ordered from the machine and followed the instructions to pay at the counter. I was completely ignored for almost 10 min, so anyone who had ordered and paid by card in the meantime, would of automatically got their order confirmed in the Que before I’d even paid!! A bad policy that needs to be addressed. Finally after paying, I took a seat alongside lots of annoyed people. Well the kitchen organization was dreadful, and hygiene appalling! I watched in horror as the main server for ‘front of house’ (and ginger guy with long hair in a pony tail and glasses) rearranged his hair in the net, and have a good head scratch in the process and then carry on touching food!! No hand washing, clean downs or anything! He didn't do this once in that time either. In the half hour we were sat waiting for our food, he did this quite a few times! And there was a restaurant full of people, all looking forward to the kitchen, as we were all waiting to see our order numbers come up! So you can imagine, at least 30 sets of eyes looking at you! I understand the pressure involved in a fast pace kitchen, but KFC of all places, should be used to a busy Saturday night. Not totally ill prepared. About 1 in every 3 orders were either sent back, or complained about for having things missing. So a total lack of communication on all levels. I realise this guy probably had to take the brunt of all the unhappy customers complaints etc. But I can't believe more people haven't complained, maybe they have? As I heard the complaints procedure quoted a couple of times, and what I assume as the email address for complaints given out on a piece of paper. So finally we got our food and half of it had obviously been sat there a while, as the burger was cold and soggy. The rest was ok. But the amount of people complaining the dips and coleslaw were missing, and then to top it off the ice cream machine ran out! The last comical moment was seeing another staff members, come out the front from the kitchen with a set of keys in her hand, wearing what looked like a white bin bag with holes cut out the arms!? She wasn't outside for long, after coming back in with what looked like a can of monster in her hand. Again, no hand washing, and the fact this was done during an extremely busy time of the evening, shows the staff are totally incapable of even basic hygiene, and I worry for the health of every single customer. As this is totally unacceptable. What a sham of a restaurant. Hopefully, head office or a duty manager will see this review and offer an explanation?

Visited KFC Trevenson, Pool tonight. It was very busy as it was Halloween, but the staff were great. They did their very best and carried on serving and got through the exceptionally busy queues. Sharon, the manager, apologised and thanked us for waiting and checked to make sure we all got our food.

Clean and tidy. Staff could smile a bit more but ok

The service is slow when dining in or take away . But the food is delicious , I would advice using the drive through

The shift runner, kaitlyn at this store was absolutely amazing! We had ordered kfc through the app for delivery, when the delivery driver was unable to locate me even with me on the phone. He cut me off and cancelled my order. Ubereats then refused to refund me as the driver apparently followed protocol! Kaitlyn was very helpful when I went into store, ensuring we received our order promptly after waiting 2.5 hours from Ubereats. Excellent customer service and care from her.

Nice, who doesn't like kfc, a bit busy than normal as McDonald's is closed for a refurb but the food was tasty and still hot for when I got home. Just got back with another tremendous order! The cashier was nice and polite and told us about special offers that were cheaper than on the menu, the food was all nice and got and they even got the order all correct and present, the video shows how noisy it was as its school holidays! Just been again, the place is nice and clean and not too many people in and the order came out fast and hot! :-)

Went after work around 8pm, was lovely and quiet to just sit and eat with the husband after a long day 🙂👍

Food great quality, the best KFC in recent years by far. Only issue at buy time the food delivery services slow down the restaurant.but the food quality and attendants not compromised.

Was stood at the desk for 15 mins. Everyone walked me and I had to ask to be served. Just wanted some sauce. Women who was bagging up was shouting at the chefs. Just so slow. Like painfully slow I was tempted to go be-hide the desk and just serve myself

Nearly always good service and good value

New staff, it would be rated higher if they listened instead of trying to act cool, four times I reapeated my order and it was still wrong, I'm normally quite patient calm but only ordered two items plus a lot of, now this is where my PC comes in to it, oops sorry if it offends, I don't care , free speech is only acceptable until someone takes offence but kids nowadays or I should say some of them can't seem to communicate with people maybe this was the reason

Put in a Just Eat order, it never arrived. Tried calling the restaurant several times but no one answered. Just Eat website just said "Driver at Restaurant" for 2 hours!

Did a review but kfc doesn’t want to respond so let’s see if they do.

ordered through drive thru today, went to the payment section and the man serving had bbq sauce around his mouth. made me feel sick that someone is not being hygenic and handling food. teach your staff to wipe themselves.where was the manager?

*Have updated my review because of the response from the business owner...Not sure what is meant by, 'the parking not being up to my satisfaction' sadly the response didn't answer any of my points. I never once talked about parking as we went inside. Again this would appear to highlight the same symptoms the staff are having I'll leave you to decide what problems that is but really this is not good. I've never thought of rating atmosphere for a fast restaurant, but my goodness the feeling when you go in here is oppressive. All heads were down, the actions were very slow and laboured. The food was crushed in it's box. It took an absolute age to arrive. By the time the chips were cooked the burger was cooling down. When I tried to bite into it the three small pieces of lettuce were displaced by the half bottle of mayonnaise. This was a real shame as it was supposed to be a spicy burger but so much mayo smashed the spicy out of it. The piece of chicken in the side was more like a wing that a drum stick. Something needs sorting. They definitely need retraining. An absolute let down

If your looking for really tasty fresh chicken an Great service...then don't bother going. Soggy sweaty greasy food...chips seem like they are boiled in luke warm oil an always hard on the inside. Staff are incompetent rude and unattentive. Avoid at all costs

The Most disappointing KFC in Cornwall, orders quite often missing items and takes forever to get delivered, a 2 hour wait is quite the norm. It's only getting 2 stars because the trilogy box is almost perfection

Prioritise delivery services over in store customers , you will be waiting a long time if you order in store , and never has gravy

I ordered a burger but found out there were no salads in it. The kitchen staff said they ran out of it but they won’t tell you unless you figure it out by yourself 🤦‍♂️

Excellent service while they were very busy. We ordered online and used the drive through. I did wonder if we would have a long wait after seeing how busy they were, but it wasn't too bad. Food was hot.

Always slow service. Not keen to serve you at the till. Frequently lose orders(they dissappear from the screen even though you haven't had them) Only survives because it's next to a college and a hotel!

Hardest takeaway to ever order. Tried to order on just eat and Uber eats. One minute it’s available, 2 min later not available anymore. Ended up ordering on the website just for them to take my money and then say sorry we can’t take you order anymore. Happens literally every time we order. If you don’t get that order through in the 2 seconds they make themselves available then you’ve had it

Of the Colonel's 11 secret herbs and spices, 8 of them are salt. I'm grateful for the large drink size to flush my kidneys with. The 2 words that this type of establishment is normally labelled with, 'fast' is not applicable, and 'food' is still up for debate.

They just can’t not get an order correct. The staff have no interest. There is no point complaining either as no one is helpful.

im sure a bargain bucket used to come with a drink ,and beans ,at least some salt and napkins ,very dissapointing and a bit tastless ,and why merry xmas on the boxes its merry CHRISTMAS,and that is one seriously small portion of fries. .

Nice KFC quick and food was hot. Only thing I didn't necessarily like was the joint bathrooms for men and women. I'm not against anything but I wouldn't be comfortable going in if I were a female.

Can be a little difficult to find if you don't know the area, turning is essentially before the restaurant as you come in from the A30. But the restaurant itself is excellent, clean, friendly and the food is lovely.

Must stop going here everytime the food is wrong staff havent got a clue. Missing salt , no spoons for the beans and all the childrens deserts missing.

Seemed abit too chaotic behind the till. Staff seemed abit overwhelmed and had a bit of a delay for food and then found items of my order were out of stock. Not a big issue for me just could be better.

Ordered delivery and instead of mash and gravy being delivered I got 6 gravy.

Unfortunately the food tonight was very poor indeed, only good thing was no queues & fast service. My fillet burger was dry with no taste & my son's popcorn chicken was unfortunately the same!

Kept me waiting at the order point for drive through for 5 mins drive round to window to order to be told to go back round if u aren't going to do a job well don’t bother did them a favour and put a cone in front of their drive through as it’s not fit for purpose

Kentucky Fried Chicken popularly known as KFC is a chain of fast food restaurants that primarily use chicken in their menu. KFC Camborne is located in an easy to access area by the road and offers great services. The food is good, hygiene is top notch and the services offered by the staff is excellent.

My husband has been up all night with diarrhoea, this is the second time we have been, the last time I was ill Would not recommend unless you want to lose weight

Filthy restaurant, very slow service, order missing items. No sign of a manager or anyone in charge of things.

I made a silly mistake and didn't order fries as a side with my kids meal and when I asked for more fries the lovely girl gave them to me free of charge. She said its a simple mistake to make when using the order machines. Food was delicious!

Very good as most of them are. However, I was a bit disappointed as we ordered over the phone and paid upfront. But when I arrived, none of the order was ready. So don't see any point ordering in advance.

I have to admit it was boxing day, id just finished a late shift and it appeared to be manned by young teens so I wasn't expecting it to be good....but....the food was cooked perfectly, lovely and fresh and hot, service could not be faulted, very polite....I don't always write reviews but felt this was well deserved...thank you

This KFC literally NEVER has Gravy and rarely Beans. No matter what time you arrive, there is no gravy, EVER. Heed my warning, if you want KFC gravy, go elsewhere. Most of the time they don’t have beans either and you can either have corn if you’re lucky or just extra fries or coleslaw. Chicken if generally ok, usually have to wait a while regardless of time. Picture illustrates a lack of gravy at approximately 6.40pm

The place needs to buy a broom floor littered with order slips, food & napkins

Ordered from the machine, never again when went to collect I commented on the wrong drink which was delt with by rude customer service. Brought another drink. Only to find out the whole box meal was wrong. The side as well as drink. Why do people who work in customer service roles always seem like they can't be bothered?

Terrible food, no gravy, slow service

Every evening that I’ve ordered they never have any gravy. Not sure how you can consistently run out & not address it.

Uber eats took our money and food but this lovely woman named Sharon the shift manager gave us a full refund even though it wasnt her fault

Very poor told that the 2.99 meal was not available . Untue. Duty manager unhelpfull stating she was not on duty at the time. She suggested that it may be that they had run out of ingredients and the young man on the till was not been made aware of this. So i can take advice from ICO where did you get my private phone number from?

Abrupt staff. Staff appear angry and frazzled . No cutlery and upon request there was none available . Coke drink was only half filled and a polite request to top it up was met with silent confusion .

The queue was reasonable but it moved fairly quickly. Ordered on the app so quick and simple. Same today, lovely and hot even though we drove a couple of miles to somewhere a bit more scenic to eat it.

I've only used the drive-in, but they are quick, nice and there are enough parking. All goid!

KFC is probably CFR. Cooking up rats in the back instead of chicken to save cost. Doesnt matter since they forget half the order most of the time.
