KFC in Wellingborough

i bought a bargain bucket to take home .this tasted fowel Why does kentucky chicken taste so diferent from years ago the coating does not taste like it did and the chicken tastes like eating cardbord IT TASTED DISGUSTING.

Let me say, the food, when it came, was very good - hot, fresh and tasty Getting it was a different proposition The kid who served us at the drive through was about as sullen and rude as you could imagine Pulled up, opened bag, someone else’s order Got out of car and went in Chaos reigned Staff out front standing around whilst the kitchen seemed overwhelmed Sorted my order out pretty quick whilst people behind moaned they’d been waiting ages and then the person who’s food I had then refused to take my order (untouched but fair enough) We sat in the car park and ate out and people who were waiting had still not come out with their orders!! Like I said, food good though!?

Clean restaurant, friendly staff, helpful Manager and tasty food. A really good, local fast-food option. Be mindful of the 1 hour parking limit though (maybe park in the adjacent car park just top be on the safe side!),

Whilst travelling around Northamptonshire, Ive noticed numerous billboards and adverts for the new KFC christmas 23 stuffing stacker burger. Thought Id pop into Wellingborough branch on Turnells Mill Lane to get one, only to be told they werent doing them as they hadn't got any stock. I commented that this item was surposed to be available till 1st Jan 24. I asked when stock would be available, they did not know and appeared not to care either. If a business goes to the huge effort to advertise their wares they should ensure they have stock available. This is not KFC's first year of trading and experience from previous years should act as a good guide to present and future demand. Wonder what Colonel Sanders would have said to today's experience? Sadly this isn't only time with similar occurance. My last visit was around February 23, when I encountered the same with items from the regular menu out of stock and a 'dont care' attitude. I will think twice now about visiting again.

I went to this restaurant to impress my business clients from Geneva. When we arrived in a miniature bus we thought to ourselves “oh ,what an unromantic car park “. My guests were very excited and hungry so we went straight in (no door staff to greet us). I was a little confused as to how an order should be placed. We sat at a table for 6 and a half hours and weweren’t even offered a menu or drink. It wasn’t until a young person came up to us and said that we would have to go to the bar to get any service. We are all vegetarian ( we do eat fish and reptiles) but they didn’t have any thing substantial for us so we all shared a large bucket that the staff filled up with baked beans and sweetcorn. There was not a wine list so we had to drink a gallon of “cola”. But there was one thing that made us feel good….. ice cream… and lots of it ! My clients were very polite about their meals but I knew that they were disgusted with me. I tried to give them a voucher as a way of saying sorry but they didn’t want it. I probably will come back here but not to impress clients who are looking to spend 185 000 pounds on solar powered adult items . I did laugh though because of all of the baked beans made them all very windy in the miniature bus on the way back to my office. Well done (sort of).

£100 parking fine for staying longer than 1 hour…. disgusting. A paying customer should not be penalised to park

This place is absolutely disgusting, the entrance mat is absolutely caked in muck and filth,the sticky tables never get cleaned or get cleared,the toilets stink of urine so badly your eyes water and the floors stick to your shoes the walls and doors are covered in uncleaned filth. If a heath inspector made a visit it would get closed down Kentucky's inspectors clearly NEVER visit. This is not the first time I visited it was the same 12 months ago STEER CLEAR if you value your health disgusting my visit was at 18.00 on Saturday 8th April.

The food we ordered was Cold and very greasy. Female manager extremely rude. Would definitely NOT recommend!!!

Worst kfc I been 2 , no people skills the order was wrong and it taste like crap , pure grease, and it also needs a good clean 2 out of 10 , terrible kfc

Service = beyond appalling. KFC has generally very bad service but then you come Wellingborough KFC and it’s a whole new level of low. I don’t think there has been a single time I’ve been to this KFC where something hasn’t gone wrong. One example of their amazing intelligent service is when a friend ordered a double filet burger but after paying for a double was given a single. Upon asking about this, the staff member said they didn’t have enough fillet burgers left and apparently they mentioned this when we ordered (obviously they did not)- but they still let us pay for a double??? After complaining and trying to make them see sense - they finally managed to magic out a double filet burger.. If you do end up at this KFC, then get ready for a long wait and a confrontation with the staff because they for sure will have messed up your order somehow

Myself and my family had extremely bad food poisoning from this very dangerous restaurant. 8 days off work and school, this was the worst case of food poisoning I ever seen or heard of. I could not believe how ill undercooked chicken can make you… 100% certain it was KFC…. For months the staff have made mistakes on nearly every order, they struggle with basic maths, so it’s no surprise that they obviously don’t understand hygiene and food standards. Environmental Health are now involved….

Having decided to give this branch another chance following the last fiasco, I can safely say this branch of KFC are, if nothing else consistent in their incompetence! Ordered 3 meals via Deliveroo and they actually managed to either forget multiple items, or supplied completely incorrect items to all 3 meals! Opening the bag of food was nothing more than a lucky dip.. after spending nearly £30 I am now well and truly sick of the ineptitude of this franchise. I spent 25 mins ringing the branch consistently to the point I had them hanging up on me after just a couple of rings because they clearly can’t be ar@ed to deal with customer feedback and complaints

The only thing I have to say it’s terrible food and serviceeeeee 🤮🤮🤮🤮 and they can’t even answer the calls !!

Second visit here in 6 years while passing by on way between holidays and home. Ok, the positives - this time the food was standard KFC chicken, we like it, and this was it. We got we expected. We were given our order by a young coloured lad who was lovely. He was polite, he smiled, he wished us a nice evening. All the young staff behind the counter were friendly and approachable. The negatives - we were served by the rudest man I have ever had the misfortune to be served by. I didn’t get his name, the receipt had him down as ‘Bailey’ but I’m guessing he just hadn’t signed in under the right name. 40’s male of Asian appearance, greying hair, and all the attitude and friendliness of an angry great white shark. We almost walked out once we’d given our order as he was trying to rush us and was generally rude. He explained at one point how there were no sides left, at all, because of Brexit.🤷🏼‍♂️🤦🏼 Due to you, sir, we shall never even dare to risk a visit to Wellingborough KFC again. I can only hope your staff are trained by someone with manners and customer service skills.

Waiting a long time for food...dont get why the manager asks to the staff to put that my order is collect when it's no where near finished. Business will boom if this is rectified. Had to mention this as it is a regular thing now. Staff are good but need in my opinion managers need a bit of training. Sincerely A concerned customer

It’s an absolute disgrace. The drive through you can barely hear, I ordered a meal with NO beans. To be told I need to replace with a soft drink. I didn’t want a fizzy drink. It took over 20 minutes and I gave up to go inside and order as the guy on the other end couldn’t seem to understand. Inside the place is an absolute top. Rubbish on the floor, tables ALL filthy. The toilet is filthy and needs cleaning with the basin tap moving about loose. The floor hasn’t been cleared in a while as paper all over it. Sadly not using this place again as it isn’t a one off.

This is the second time I have used this KFC whilst on holiday visiting family. Served straightaway by professional friendly staff, had our order within 3 minutes (party bucket, so a large order) the food was by far the best KFC I have had and I have had a few! Will definitely call again next time I'm visiting

You know you get a feeling sometimes that ‘this is a bad idea’? That’s how I felt when I pulled into this KFC. Staff are flapping and shouting at each other. It didn’t help that I had a dodgy stomach after eating here. I will not return again. Sort it out, I hope food standards goes here ASAP as it’s not the best. 1/10.

Just been to kfc went through drive through ordered our food and requested something changed upon getting our food the item we asked to take out n replace was in there so then they gave us attitude all the staff and huffed having to redo order Upon getting home to find half the order missing

We have just been to kfc in wellingborough. The restaurant was a mess. Grease and rubbish on every table. The floor was twice as dirty. People were arguing with the manager for a refund after waiting 30 minutes for there food. The manager was shouting at the staff in front of the customers which is unprofessional. One member of staff placed a green bucket of dirty water on top the food trays. Many customers were complaining about there food being cold and about the state of the restaurant. A member of staff made a note on the receipt that I would like 1 piece of breast but despite this I got a thigh and a leg. One meal was ordered as a medium the other as a large and both drinks came out as large. I usually find the wellingborough KFC alright but I think there will be a few bad reviews written today. Very disappointed:(

If you want to have to pay 100 pounds just because you eat slowly or want to stay for an extra coffee or order an ice cream and it takes over an hour then this is the place to visit. Absolutely appalling place will never go back.

I went there on a hot summer’s evening, my fone battery was running low so I decided to take my time as I had my meal as the fone was changing. Little did I know they had a one hour restriction on parking. I Received this nasty parking charge From a private firm, Civil Enforcement Ltd, which I was advised to ignore. In between that time I had moved houses. They kept sending those mails to the old address. Until I checked my credit rating and I had a CCJ and £290 demand from the courts. I have no idea how to resolve this because there was no sign outside warning about the 1 hr restriction, plus they sent all court papers to the old address though I had given them my new address. KFC Wellingborough, a meal there could end-up costing you £290, plus tracing your credit score!!!

Absolutely disgusting service was stuck in the drive through queue for half an hour. Once there impossible to leave as other cars block you in. All drivers were beeping their horns. Even when there was one car left in front of me I was still stuck behind for 10minutes. I left my car to ask what the hold up was and was told to be respectful of the children in the car in front. I wasn't abusive and didn't swear. The staff were unapologetic and unhelpful. Other drivers also started leaving their cars to see what the hold up was. I had my 11year old daughter in my car who was hungry also. You use the drive through for convenience. In the end I didn't bother collecting my order and went to a chicken shop down the road.

So we stopped by the drive through on our way home....

First visit to a KFC in a very long time & i found the food to be fresh, tasty, hot & well presented. The staff were very polite & the restaurant was very clean.

Had a meal today when opened i counted 7 french fries....wanted 3 pieces and got 2...total rip off....”get it together kfc.......

not very tidy at all, and I think I'll save my money or go to McDonalds which is a real shame because sometimes you just need that deep fried chicken :-(

This is the second time we have gone through their drivein to have another ridiculously long wait for food - 20 mins! Krushem drink totally melted, chicken bites hard and dried out, chips dry and stale tasting, no salt, no hot sauce, no please/thank you, and no apology for the long wait. We will be going to Cambridge street KFC in future. TRAIN YOUR STAFF!!!

I asked for ketchup. Was told to wait in the bays for the food, there was 3 other cars there waiting for food. They turned up with the food, no ketchup, no salt, no napkins, no wet wipes!! Chips were tasteless with no salt!

It’s a Friday and before a bank holiday, it’s going to be busy, drive through took more than half an hour to get through. I do t understand how it could/should take so long! They couldn’t understand my partners order and we haven’t even got to the window as I write this review.

Don't waste your money drive-thru never gives you the order that you place but still charge you for it you going to complain the restaurant is filthy stuff a rude unhelpful you feel like an inconvenience even though they've just ripped you off don't waste your money go to McDonald's

Unfriendly till girl .only one person serving.cold under cooked chips .need to teach your staff some customer service .KFC not as nice as used to be in wellingborough KFC.

Past experience of this kfc is that it’s dirty in the restaurant seating area and after a few years of not using the place I visited tonight.

This has to be the slowest fast food restaurant in the UK. The two staff who served us were lovely and couldn't apologise enough. The problem is the new system of working. They just can't get the food ready quick enough

We have been to this KFC a few times before and recently (our last 2 times) have been awful. For different reasons which I will detail:

Asked for various size chicken buckets and couldn't fulfil any!! No chicken, no popcorn, hardly any sides then said no bottled drink but could fill 5 cups!!!! How are you supposed to transport 5 plastic cups in a car!!!! VERY disappointed, left restaurant and went elsewhere... terrible.. Previously had cold food there but thought try again but NEVER again!

Took about 15/20 mins to get our food. Baring in mind this is a fast food place - not really good enough. There were dirty tables that hadn’t been cleaned the entire time me and my boyfriend were sat eating in there. Not advertising.

Not sure if I am just unlucky with these drive through places but I sometimes wonder how they stay open .. Place stinks of fat round the back where you drive through, had to repeat myself four times when ordering at the speaker thing and the food was not up to much . Sorry but not one of my best choices

Some say you should judge a fast food joint on its toilets, this place would fail miserably. As soon as you walk in the corridor you can smell it, like an open drain and the state of the gents toilets is not good with a sink coming away from the wall.

I am not a regular to the KFC restaurants and I am not aware of what is available, obviously I am aware that chicken is the main consumable from said restaurant, however, when asked what kind of options was available to me the staff looked at me as though I was from 1940s prior to the creation in 1952. The staff were very immature, laughing at me for asking such a deplorable question. I was answered by a below average IQ staff in a condescending manner, " we have chicken" then pointing up at a board, which by the way was blank! My partner and I felt embarrassed by this and ordered sub standarded meals as we felt the need to get out of there ASAP. Apart from the obvious shame the food was below any fastfood restaurant, which does take a lot. Being that I train people in customer services I feel the staff at this so called restaurant could do with my help!

Please avoid this takeaway if you possibly can, we ordered 4 meals and every single thing was stone cold and inedible, we didn't know the area so assumed KFC would be a safe bet, but the food had obviously been sitting around for hours, it was truly disgusting. Having now looked on Tripadvisor (wish I had before I went there!)its pretty obvious this franchise should be closed down. The whole place is dirty too.

If you want have limp lukewarm food and stingey portions of fries and be served by sullen people with a lack of manners who make you feel like an inconvenience rather than a valued customer......then this is the place for you. If you want hot food, value for money and a polite and friendly service - go elsewhere.

We been here few times and always my burger is cold inside or just warm, not sure why they don't know how to make food nice and proper hot, over all it is nice refurbished kfc with lots of parking but because of the food quality I don't recommend this place

Having a wait of almost an hour before I can make my delivery I called in, hesitantly after my previous experience of another kfc, the you get lady who served me was pleasant and polite, and my food and coffee were quickly produced hot and filling

They forgot to put in the fries and the beans i had ordered, and when i went into tell them they were rude and unhelpful. They said i had not ordered fries or beans, then when they looked on my reciept and saw they had charged me for fries and beans, the person behind the counter just said - just give her the bloody beans and chuck some fries in too !!! As if they were somehow doing me a favour !! No sorry from anyone it was appalling service. And by the time they had sorted out their mistake the rest of the food was cold. Never again !!!

This KFC never fails to demonstrate just how truly incompetent it is. Fails to put items in our order correctly EVERY time. Paid extra for beans? Don't worry, they'll forget it.

You may as well speak to a robot when you visit this KFC. There are people who would give anything to have a job and then you have these people working in KFC who act and look as they do not give a toss about customer service. even a smile or possibly even being bothered to talk to you with please/ thank you etc while you take the order from them rather being too busy talking by to colleagues!

When with family to McDonalds for lunch last weekend good choice on menu at reasonable price for 4 adults and 3 children.

This has to be worst run KFC in the country, they regular forget to put items into your bag like coleslaw, and spoons etc, the wait at the drive thru can be a long time and the fat they we cooking in doesn't taste nice on the chips or chicken. I would strongly suggest you travel 5 mins down the a45 and visit the Riverside KFC where standards are much higher.

Great for a quick tasty snack/ meal for the grand children. Excellent value and freshly cooked so good and hot.

Every time I come here they mess something up! I remember we was waiting 20 minutes for one order because they forgot about us and we sat there like lemons! Always something missing and never up to scratch. Greasy as hell and never like it is pictured. Don't bother getting a burger if you want anything in it, every time I've opened one up its been a bun and the stuff next to it.

I've eaten here a few times in the past few months, and I've got to say this is one of those places were you just have to be there on a good day. I've had excellent food there before, cooked quickly as well, with friendly staff. On other days, I've had to wait unnecessarily long for food to be cooked, only to have the chicken be practically red on the instead. Obviously, I demanded a fresh batch (as I would rather not get food poisoning from underdone food), and could audibly hear the kitchen staff claiming there was 'nothing wrong with it'.

Been 3 times, all awful. No corn on cob, no gravy, no coleslaw. Order always wrong. Cup holders are crap. Service rubbish.

10.30am no milk!!!! I return in the afternoon as all my daughter wanted was a Krushem!!! She patiently waits all day!! It's now 4.30pm ..This time I'm told the machine is being cleaned!!!! Why on earth wasn't it cleaned first thing in the morning!! There's an idea!! Will not be bothering going back ever again!

I am vegetarian so myself personally i didnt eat here but my boyfriend ate a chicken wrap from here and got awful food poisoning, horrible dirty restaurant go elsewhere.

Food and service as you would expect but whenever I visit here the floor is always like an ice rink, it appears so very greasy. Always have a boneless banquet and it never disappoints.

Had a lovely KFC here. Stopped for a break on a long journey. The way the food was ordered was great. The order system was very impressive. Hadn't been to KFC fora while, staff were really helpful, in helping with the large selection.

Just as can be expected if a little slow sometimes, even when not that busy. Check your drive through orders before leaving ;)

Always found this KFC to be at the upper end of their outlets and it has recently undergone a refit which makes it a bit better than the norm.
