KFC in Derby

KFC and this restaurant in particular are a disgrace. Staff are generally rude and management are abusive if you raise your concerns (Stephen the ‘Shift Manager’) and results in a ban from the restaurant without justifiable reason (pathetic). Customer services are useless also. Higher management (area manager) have absolutely no interest in addressing issues appropriately and will simply fob you off and patronise you. Do not give this place your hard earned money. Do yourself a favour and head to the other KFC at Foresters Leisure Park (the manager there is brilliant) or any of the other places near by.

Most of the tables were dirty. A strange man came over with the food and didn't even speak or acknowledge us, he went away and then came back trying to carry 4 drinks at once in his hands and he dropped a pepsi max which went all over our 10 year old daughter and he didn't even say anything!! He was very weird and didn't even really react to the fact he had just done this!? There wasn't even an apology!! We had to tell him to get us a cloth as our daughter was soaked, he didn't replace the drink either, he just acted like we weren't there, I'm not sure how he got the job as there was no customer service and he couldn't even be arsed to speak! I had to go to the counter to ask for another drink from someone else! Awful experience!

The dirtiest KFC that I’ve ever visited! The staff were efficient when serving but seriously failed at tidying or cleaning the place!

We ordered a 14 piece family bucket , on opening at home , the bucket contained 11 drumsticks and three chicken pieces. Supposed to be a mixed bucket , on phoning the branch , this was due to availability. If that was the case , we should have been advised , l would then have a choice , this is the second time , this has happened , and will be the last . Will not use again . Crap bucket

Terrible! Place was near empty. Asked if mash was available, it was so ordered meals then 20 mins later told it had been sold to someone else! Refunded in cash. Food came ten mins later but order was wrong, some of it was on the side for 15 minutes so was luke warm. No apologies, staff appeared to have no idea and the manager walking around in a daze. Three people complaining. Last time I use this KFC. Rubbish.

I don't understand the negative reviews here except I see they weren't recent. Chicken was cooked to perfection and tables were very clean

Disgusting food tasted like it had been uncooked!! In 3 month old lard!! Ignorant lazy staff, went back twice for no napkins/wipes which I was told were in the bag twice!! And Diet Coke was water!! If you don’t want to work sign on!!! And get some cleaning staff the place is horrendous

I went to this KFC tonight to fetch my son some food and I really wish that I hadn't bothered. While I was waiting at the speaker I saw the largest rat that I have ever seen, bold as brass having a wander round. I was sat at the speaker for around 15 minutes waiting for the person to take my order. When I got my sons food it just came in a box, no bag, that's ok if I were to eat it in the car park but as my son was at home 3 miles away it would have been cold by the time he got it so I had to ask for a bag to put it in. When my son had a drink of his 7Up he said that there was something wrong with it so I tried it, it was about 50% water. I will never go back to this place again.

Driving in to kfc yesterday at Wyvern centre in Derby!!! I drove straight back out as there were rats 🐀 running around in car park disgusting!

I ordered KFC the other day and all i got was 2 big bags with a bottle of Pepsi in 1 and a can of Fanta in the other. buy the time i got out side the driver had gone. i have tried to contact you and uber eats for a refund but have had no contact from you nor have i had my money back. When will someone contact me regarding this matter?

Car park was full of litter - looked disgusting ....there was a large bin which was broken and spilling out everywhere.

We went to kfc as pizza hut was packed wish we hadnt the tables weren't clean I asked lady to wipe them and she left them wet through the floors wanted a good sweep the whole place looked shabby I certainly wont be going again employ a cleaner get your act together

After a busy week at work it made a nice change to not have to cook or do the pots. I wouldn't recommend it every night though!

Disgusting tables, not one clean one, asked for a cloth to clean the tables and all we got back was "Oh yeah ill do it later" . Very poor presentation of the place.

Far better than the KFC on Osmaston Park Road, they actually give you condiments and wipes here and the food is always red hot.

Visited last Friday lunchtime. Had a mighty bucket for one. Spent the entire weekend being sick. At the very least learn how to cook chicken properly, there's no excuses for that

Popped in for dinner last night- no receipt available on the digital order screen, partner didn’t seem to get right item but no receipt to prove it, mine was nice but chips not very hot. Toilets absolutely GRIM stunk of godknowswhat, broken door lock, battered, filthy and no toilet roll. Health hazard.

Came in for friends sons birthday, order food took 25mins to be served there was only 2 other orders in front, serve the ice cream desert 5 mins before main meal, really bad service, won't be visiting again

Over salty dried out coating - they are apparently holding back freshly cooked pieces to drain grease but ours were very dry and dark brown. Avoid this branch. And I'm pretty sure the recipe has changed...

Called in with family member here for tea. What a dump. Went into the seating area and was confronted with numerous tables not cleared of rubbish from previous customers. Food and rubbish on the floor and 2 members of staff standing idly by talking having no intention of cleaning up . Needless to say we won't be coming again. Heard since it's got an awful rating by several people.

This place has potential and food is ok. However furnishing is in a bad way with holes etc and need changing. Service is not bad but nothing to talk about. The KFC app doesn’t even work most of the time. Overall I’d leave it as potential to be good.

Absolutely shocking, its match day, resource for it. It's always terrible. Manager, spend some money and employ staff.

Stop here for lunch very busy as football match was on ,not enough staff to cope,tables dirty had to clean it ourself also no tea food ok not the best kfc

This KFC is a joke!!.. over £17.00 for a bucket of "BONES!!!"... the coating far from being (finger licking good) was ROCK hard and tasteless... I had to leave it or I may have lost some teeth!!!!... Needless to say I won't be returning. I feel short changed to say the least.. What a WASTE OF MONEY.

Last time was good but its gone down hill, not busy with customers and the staff seemed less interested in sorting out orders, place was not well maintained, but the food was quick and typical KFC.

Was waiting for 20 minutes. It was packed and staff didn’t have a clue what to do. Asked a bloke next to me and he had been waiting 30 mins. I got a refund and left. With no apology what so ever. Shocking. Some one needs sacking

Great kfc still tastes good i left my wallet at the site returned 2days later a young female member.of staff had handed it in great lady,meal was good as well.

Went to the drive thru to get the Tuesday special to be told cash only at 1045!! Who deals in cash these days! As I had no cash had to go to McDonalds! I appreciate everyone wants to finish work on time but 15 mins early! #mcDonalds.

On entering KFC there was only one lady in front of me, so I thought great me next!

So, my partner, three children aged six and under and I attend KFC Derby for a lunchtime meal. I get to the counter to find that 75% of the menu remains unavailable due to DHL’s blunder - not a problem, it’s not the branch’s fault.

We popped in here for a bite to eat after shopping. There was a sign on the door apologising for no heating. It was so cold but we knew that anyway! Tables were pretty dirty wasn’t great but food was nice

Ordered a 10 piece bargain bucket and some gravy. All the chicken was basically bone, only 3 good pieces in the whole box. Must say the gravy was the only good thing about this meal. Me and my boyfriend were both sick within an hour of eating. Still the next day felt ill. Never again will we be coming here.

We had to wait a very long time for our order, to then be given the wrong food, twice! A real shame.

We visited a KFC for tea and as we walked through the door it was already a terrible thing. The queue to get in was huge and also, the people working at the counter were very slow in serving customers. It took 30 mins for our order to be finished, but when it came it was wrong apart from my meal. In one that I asked for we only said no sauce but it came with just chicken and no salad. Then there was no gravy or corn or coleslaw, and there was only beans which no one wanted. And when the order was finally correct my friend ripped open the chicken and it was slightly pink inside. I wouldn’t recommend this KFC to anyone unless you like terrible service.

I said to myself, that is the last visit ever... then a friend of mine helped me move in so i treated him to a KFC except he drove me to this one, i advised him to go to a different one. he didn't. i explained to him that my past visit i found the chicken to be more bones then meat. some thing he later found for himself most of the chicken is un edible its discarded on your trey in heaps i don't know why it feels like the bad cuts of a chicken, where as the KFC in pride park its perfect every time. I asked my friend to get some pepper the staff informed him they don't do pepper.. i looked so stupid in that moment YOU GO TO KFC IN PRIDE PARK THEY GOT PEPPER ! avoid.

Good location for an early lunch break after shopping on the Wyvern, normal KFC choices, clean and tidy, staff seemed keen and helpful especially with best directions into the city centre. Well worth a quick bite.

We had some time to go for breakfast before I went to work and I was pleasantly surprised. Would go again

I always come to this KFC as they always friendly and very helpful as I am a very awkward customer, they are always happy to help me make my own creations.

Sadly I had The unfortunate experience of visiting this place.

We visited with our 4 year old and service was fairly quick despite being lunchtime. Bizarrely our side of choice, sweet corn, was not available as they had no sticks which was a shame.

So this is just an update regarding wyvern and meteor centre kfcs. Over the last year the restuarants seem to have gotten a bit better at hygiene, cleanliness. About a year ago both places were disgusting. Litter and food all over the floors with nowhere to sit. Both restaurants were as bad as each other. However 12 months has passed and they are getting better.just about I've seen regular cleaning of tables, all the pots filled with wipes which seem to be a rare sight in kfc. But silly things let it down like being served out of time gravy by 40 minutes. Or a staff member arguing that they don't sell large sides. Kfc food can be really nice. I just wish the area managers and higher ups care enough to sort out these 2 restaurants in derby. Maybe they could be on par with mcdonalds

Average KFC however on they ran out of food on bank holiday weekend! Have eaten here a couple of times and the food is good and service good. I was given a drink while waiting for food to be cooked for takeaway. Restaurant clean but normally just walk in to get food and not sat down to eat yet.

We arrived to find a long queue waited to be served for 15 - 20 minutes and after ordering food had to wait a further 10 minutes to receive our order we could not find a clean table despite there being very few people in the restaurant the server did apologise for the wait.

Each time I order I have to send it back, food only just warm, especially annoying when you have to bring it home fir family knowing it will be stone called by then. Sometimes the bucket chicken is too greasy.

No where to sit due to the high level of food and filth all over the floor. Staff were aggressive towards each other and argued in front of each other. One then told another getting the food out it the priority over cleaning the seating area. Not helpful when there's no where to sit and eat. Took out and food was poor!

This place is bad in every respect. Bins overflowing and lots of dirty tables. Customers having no option but to leave their left overs on their table as bins full. No staff cleaning up whatsoever. Staff slow and takes ages to get served. I get served the wrong drink and wife gets the wrong meal. Freezing as well. Drive thru was v busy and clearly the best option as car would be more comfortable than eating in! KFC at meteor centre up the road much better.

Visited with family - my youngest son decided he wanted to eat here. Family bucket was more than enough and worked out good value for money. Recommend.

Been out shopping for the day and called in to grab a quick dinner not expecting a lot as our local KFC is shocking!!

We eat regularly at KFC. We couldn't fault the food here but the heating was faulty and it was very cold sat in there eating our meal. Staff were very pleasant and apologetic. The cold would not stop us eating there again.

I've just eaten at KFC with my family. The restaurant was FREEZING...felt like no heating was on at all. We all sat in coats, as did other families. I complained to a member of staff but nothing was done and no apology. The service was very slow and again no apology for the long wait. All the condiments had run out, salt sugar etc. Food was quite nice and no complaints there...other than half of our food came out and was nearly finished before the rest arrived. Order was also wrong and I had to go back to get it changed. Also lots of empty, dirty tables, they are clearly understaffed and the staff they do have are young have no customer service skills and need motivating!!!

Had a bad experience there last night, hadn't been for 3 years as was awful then.Thought we'd give it a try as it had bound to have improved, how wrong was I absolute garbage.

Well just had a family bucket chicken it tasted bad like burnt soapy weird taste smelled like foggy hands. 1 hour later we feel sick bad stomach. Never ever eating there again. Ate kfc zillion times this was by far worst ever tasting.

THIS IS THE KFC ON THE WYVERN and is only a few miles from my house so I decided to drive down and get take away. I decided to go in as I was with my daughter rather than go in the drive thru.

We stopped for a takeaway meal.

Disgusting, from start to finish, do not eat here. Fast food NOT, a 12 minute wait, granted apologies were given by the server Dave who seemed to be trying his best, but; as the first person customers see his standard of dress was appalling, his shirt was not ironed and gave a terrible first impression. I had to point out that the counter area needed a wipe as it was filthy. My food order was wrong; two portions of fries (not ordered) BOTH cold! Side order of corn on the cob tasteless and overlooked, or just left standing too long? I addressed my concerns with the Assistant Manager, who methodically said "yes I know there are problems, I am writing it down on my paperwork". I calmly advised him that paperwork was good (a necessary evil) but that he needed to get out on the shop floor and address the problem areas; overflowing bins, filthy tables and rubbish left everywhere. What a horrible experience, never will I eat there again. You have been warned, don't waste your money.

Nothing to make this KFC stand out from any other KFC. They seem to be moving away from their core products and trying to be new and trendy. Unfortunately the portion sizes of the new items is small and they are poor value for money. The restaurant was clean and the staff friendly. The food was ok, but I cannot rate it anything more than average.

We decided to go here, just because I hadn't been for so many years, we could have gone to one of many eateries in the locality, but, no, we (I, sorry), chose to go to KFC. The place was sort of clean, the staff seemed to be speaking a different sort of the Derbyshire dialect that I was brought up with, one that I imagine is called 'teenager monosyllabic grunt'. The chicken, for I was assured that is what it was, was greasy, and the chips tasteless.
