KFC in Ipswich

The food was ok, the men’s toilets were so disgusting I couldn’t breathe!!! It was so bad I refused to take my son in there.

Worst KFC I have experienced, paid £18.99 for a bucket of over cooked and burnt tasteless chicken, would not surprise me at all if it had been reheated from lunch time. I complained several times to ‘KFC Care Squad’ and all they could do was give me a £5 voucher towards more next purchase….really!

Went to this KFC and witnessed a poor child who had been sick all over her self be denied access to the baby changing area as staff “did not have a key”. At first staff ignored her serval times before being outright rude to not only the poor child but her mother and offered no help or support stating they could go to the Tim Hortons over the road. Once the mother had cleaned up her child she rightly returned to speak to the manager and complain. The manager did not care, was rude and called her a liar. Staff then laughed about the situation as the mother left. I am disgusted by what I have witness and sicken to know that the baby changing and disabled toilet is not accessible. In this day and age it is shocking to see such discrimination. As far as my own service, my food was left on the side to go cold as they called the wrong number multiple times but only gave me my food once me and my friend questioned if it was mine. We both had to specifically ask for our drinks as we were forgotten about. We then watched as staff members overfilled our drinks, poured half out and handed us a cup cover in sticky lemonade which we were made to clean ourselves. We were then stared at and talk about because we chose to comfort the mother and child affected by the incident above. I will celebrate when this location is shut down, the front of staff are fired and the manager is held accountable for her disgraceful actions. My other friend had the misfortune of using their actual open toilet. Which was disgusting, smelled like something had died and clearly had not been check or kept up to health and safety standards. She was also shocked to see how all the staff were standing talking whilst customers stood waiting for serval minutes.

For a KFC this is the lowest of the low, terrible service, time for service is long and often mistakes with the order. I used to love KFC but this restaurant has cooled my appetite for this brand and I am sure is doing the same for other KFC fans. The management of this site need to up their game if they want to improve the rating by loyal KFC fans.

No on the bone chicken for 15 minutes, no hot drinks and no heating.... freezing cold . Why do we punish ourselves 😡😡

Decided to try the new KFC twister so ordered Twister of the day Monday which is supposed to be Korean BBQ but got sweet chilli which i believe is Thursday .Ordering at the counter was not a good experience as you are ignored for a while and no hot drinks available staff told me company will not put machine in as too expensive !!! Food was not bad but back to Macs in future.

Men toilets smells like rotting fish and unclean. Staff are using and then preparing food. Not good.

Don’t go there . Sat at the front of the queue for the drive thru for 10 mins , while the staff chatted to themselves . Absolutely appalling service. The girl behind the counter could not even remember taking our order or if we had paid for our food . When we got home the order was completely wrong . The extras portions of chips we had paid d for were not there . Plus the coke was just brown water . Disgraceful

Popped in for food after a lovely family day out, sadly ‘Lola’ was clearly having a bad day, only 2 people were in the restaurant but we were still clearly putting her out. Only thing she could say was “anything else?” It was as much as she could do to grunt at us when we placed our order. Staff were continuously banging the fire exit door as they took drive through orders outside. Food was ok but portions tiny. Place was filthy, had to clean our own table, staff standing about eating over the counter, floor covered in rubbish. As we left we heard ‘Lola’ say for f***s sake as 3 more customers walked in. Won’t be visiting again in a hurry!!

Joined drive through queue. The car in front was at the order point for ten minutes, didn’t move and didn’t place order. There were no cars in front of him all the way to and including the service window…. I tried to call them to find out what the issue was, no reply and the call timed out unanswered. I reversed out and drove off… money and diet intact!

This is the most rubbish KFC in Ipswich gave me food poisoning!!! It needs 2 be shut down it’s horrible GET A BETTER CHEF or something because the food is Disgusting do not recommend at all

Waited twenty minutes for my order. Not even a sorry for your wait. Staff giving priority to the drive in and online orders! Not impressed at all. Will not return here.

I don't buy KFC often but I have used this restaurant on several occasions. I must say there was always something wrong with the order. Today it wasn't busy (max. 5 customers). We ordered 2 individual buckets and large popcorn chicken - all to take away. Our order was ready in 2 mins. Due to past experiences, we checked the contents and the large popcorn was missing. Still inside, we told the assistant and got it. At home we noticed that one boneless strip was missing from each bucket. The quality of the popcorn, hot wings and the strips was good, they were hot and fresh, but the original recipe pieces were warm-ish and dry, so dry that the coating fell of the chicken in one piece like a hard shell. My cat, who always gets some chicken (without the coating) didn't want to eat it this time. The smell of those two pieces wasn't fresh.

Ignored by staff, cold food, order was wrong, too busy dealing with Just Eat and Deliveroo, they don’t want customers in the restaurant, do us all a favour and ditch Just Eat and Deliveroo, you cannot cope with all the orders and you’re neglecting customers who come into order!

£17.72 for some rude nasty women called Justine I think to ask me??? where my sides were on the phone because they got replaced by fries. No sides whatsoever according to manager Justine the rude angry manager. Hung up on 4 times when asking about my sides that were replaced by fries. Even posted a pic of my 4 fries that was supposed to be 2 mash and 1 large gravy. Justine even told me that just eat make the orders not KFC.???? Which is not true? Why do you not have any sides whatsoever Justine???????? Not even a bit of ketchup for my my five dried up fries instead of my creamy mash n creamy gravey? Disgusting service disgusting food disgusting treatment don't go there!!! Fact!!!!

Ordered a 6 peice with 2 frys and beans through Deliveroo. Arrived cold. Received just 4, not 6, peices of which 3 were more bone than meat! Chips so cold I did not eat more than 4 or 5! Waste of £18+! First and last time I will order from KFC and Deliveroo! Would ask for a redfund if I was able to!!

Absolutely appalling, wrong meals given, lukewarm food what was right. When took food back, no apology and quite rude. I'm sure we were over charged but no proof as no receipt given. What an absolute disaster. So much for a nice treat dinner tonight for mum's birthday. Would never go back, do not recommend this place. Would give no stars at all if was possible. So your in for a ride found a few faults. Firstly they didn’t want to give us drinks had to ask them and they blanked us. When I got the food in the car found that the staff hadn’t given me a fork who do you think I am a rabbit? I had to eat with my fingers oh what a sight. Got my dip wrong I ordered garlic Mayo and I received bbq dip. Oh and mofozul wasn’t there today and he’s the best one who works there by far as he always gives good customer service.

I'm used to this place being rude and giving wrong items, usually they default to cheapest things including giving ketchup instead of dips, wrong sides and drinks, not offering full range in kids meals etc, the managers are obviously telling the staff to do this to cut costs. They also never give receipts, this is basics of business you either give a receipt or offer, it isn't acceptable simply to not give one. I'd never bother to write a review normally even when staff have been rude and gave me the wrong meal etc.However today one of your staff felt it was acceptable to reply "finally" to my 6 year old after she spent a while deciding on her meal (which you then gave completely wrong anyway.) I do not find it at all acceptable to talk to people in this way, but being so impatient and rude to a child is another level of disrespect towards your customers, it's a shame this culture is prevalent in this branch.

Im quite disappointed with the difficulties for disabled clients. Although there are car places for wheelchair users the main door isn't automatic!!! I managed cos i have carer with me. I think that such a big brand like kfc can afford to change it. Thanks for the reading.

I always feel let down by a KFC....BUT,i relented today and had one !! Mega box...good quality,hot and lots of chips !! Inside was clean and tidy !! Staff were over 16 AND polite....shocker !! Well done :)

Was in Ipswich near Asda Shopping and decided to get kfc for our evening meal .. so bought a bucket... bad mistake was going there .. It took 15 -20 minutes to get order speaker and there was only 2 cars in front of us ...The Queue inside was nearly to the door ...The oil that came off the chicken was dripping , into the bottom , the bucket ..... Recommendations are get more staff and get at least one person to be dedicated to getting the orders for the drive through service ...

Very clean and good service. First time the restaurant was very clean and service was great. The food came out quickly and what I ordered. Good quality chicken.

Ordered food on Friday via the just eat app. It was never actually delivered to my address. Still waiting for someone from just eat or this restaurant to get back to me with a refund! Disgraceful.

Again we went to kfc over weekend and ordered a takeaway at drive through, only 2 fillet burgers and was told to park up and wait with several other people. Waited over 10 minutes.

I am not sure where to start. Probably with the positive sides. The food was good, chicken crispy and hot and the chips freshly cooked and piping hot. It my review was to stop here we would be ok. I can't comment on the place itself as clean or not because to be honest we just got it, were going to get out, had to come back and then left. So i really didn't have time to look at the dining area itself. I did spot some bags of sauces which had been left on a table but that's it. What I really cannot understand is the service. Ok they're busy, sometimes, and everybody makes mistakes. Just it wasn't the first time and this time they got it wrong for the customers in front if us, us and the ones behind. Usually one error is acceptable but 3 in a row, really? And that wasn't the first time it happened to my partner. What did amuse me was that they not only got our order wrong, thank God we checked before leaving, but that kind of mistake was quite surprising. We ordered 2 boneless banquets with baked beans. When we realised there was no chips, we went back to ask for them. The waitress said no because you swapped for corn on the cobs. We look at the person who took our order and just said, no we didn't! Then the manager said just chuck the fries in so we went home with 2 free corn on the cobs. That wouldn't be too bad if the customer in front of us came back after realising she didn't get her drinks and the one after for something else. Sorry to ask but are you actually training your staff? And what about customers manners? Just saying "Hello! How are you today?" Or "Thank you! Enjoy your meal!" At the end? You know normal things you expect top hear when in that kind of places. I went to another branch who has opened not such long time ago at the Leisure Centre in Ely. I suggest you all go there for some customers service training. Or maybe just all change jobs?

I thought KFC was finger licking good, the food was hot but it didn't even look like chicken. It wasn't crispy it was a soggy mess

Food is disgusting, KFC can be hit and miss but this really scraped the bottom of the dustbin. Chicken was Soggy, dripping with grease, had lumps of uncooked seasoning, most of the seasoning was missing from the chicken strips and to top it off it didn't taste like KFC. If I was eating in the restaurant or lived closer the meal would have been returned. Will not be returning!!

Forst off the service was terrible as no on knew what they were doing, I then waited an hour for my food only for them to forget half my food including my chips, outrageous never coming back.

Arrived and joined the 2 car queue at the drive throu. After 10 minutes made it to the payment window to be told they were waiting for more chicken. After sitting the waiting bay for 20 minutes and seeing other orders taken after ours being brought out I went in. The front of house staff were arguing the kitchen staff arrived to put their two pennies worth in and then I was acknowledged only to find out they had forgotten my order. Total chaos and unfortunately not the first time at this branch.

My husband & I ordered food from here stood waiting some of the food was done quicker so it was left getting cold on the tray when we finally got it all back to the table I tasted a chip it was cold dried up so went to complain the girl was so rude said you’ll have to wait then. I did when the next lot of chips came out they were frozen in side burnt on outside disgusting food. Gravy was like water chicken tasted off. Customer service was absolutely atrocious. I think some people need to learn some manners & look at the customer when they are serving them not keep chatting to other staff. What a waste of money shall never be returning again. Oh yes & that’s not all filthy tables floors & toilets.

Popped in today after a trip to Billy beez, I will never walk in here AGAIN, id rather take my £10 and set it on fire then spend my hard earned cash having a member of staff as why I questioned the time I waited for a rice box! I questioned it AFTER she had been arguing with her colleague about the length of time it had taken yet I was in the wrong for asking? No sweetheart no, the state of the place was unreal, bins literally spilling on to the floor, human excrement all over the toilets, trays of food and grease all over tables and chairs (environmental health have been sent an email) staff smoking out of the back door in their uniform. Where's the standard? Where's the hygiene? Tut tut

We love kfc food, but now never get to have it unless we go somewhere like Bluewater where the staff at KFC seem to be trained there. We’ve given this kfc lots of chances but on the last few occasions have walked out because we’ve stood in the queue without moving for so long. Last time we walked out of kfc without being served, we drove over to the nearby McDonalds, ordered on their self service (I really think kfc could do with these), been served our food, drove past kfc and saw the person who was in front of us in the queue STILL waiting for his food!!

Not impressed, chips are horrid, incredibly slow service and if you go in 30 min before closing, then prepare for a non customer service environment, with rolling of eyes and huff and a puff. Maybe close it down and put a Burger King there instead?

Decided to pop in for a quick lunch. Love the new fries as have so much more taste to them. Food came quickly and was cooked nicely. It was not the same for my friends as they ordered food and stood there waiting 10 minutes. When they asked about there food they were told they had it. Quickly they went and spoke to management who gave a full refund and quickly produced more food. It was a shame as they had to eat up quickly as we were on a time schedule.

Went to this place for dinner ordered a bacon burger meal with no mayo when I got the burger it had mayo in the chicken was so dry and the bacon was so hard if you hit it on the table it would not even brake also ordered a mighty bucket chicken was really dry looks like it all had been the heated. There was one women servIng omg miserable and no manners at all. Asked for Pepsi Max and Diet Pepsi we did not know which is which. The place is disgusting there was old food all over the floor, dirty tables walked through to the toilet even before u got in the toilet you could smell wee well the toilets need a good deep clean they were that disgusting I refused to use them I would not even give this place a one star food hygiene rating and I will be calling environmental health

Really really dirty inside. Litter everywhere in the dining area, tables not cleaned - really bad. Staff incredibly miserable and disinterested. Food decent quality but nothing special - it is KFC so I don’t expect the world. Service quick though but it was 8pm on a Sunday. Really needs a deep clean and some new staff!!

Took my two grandchildren for a treat last evening.I have to Agee with previous review this has got to be the filthiest restaurant I’ve ever been to. The floor was covered in chips straws and various pieces of paper. Most tables were still full of previous customer leftovers. I definitely won’t be going back and if this is the standard that kfc allows I will not be going to any ever again.

Visited for a quick meal with my husband and 3 children. There was one member of staff serving who looked as if she wished she was elsewhere. Waited 10 minutes for the children burgers. There was not one clean table in the place. The floors were filthy, chair were dirty, the tables had remnants of sauce and drinks on. There is surely some hygiene issues here!!!! It was so dirty that I washed my hands on the way out too!!!!! I would not return here even if you paid me to, I daren't risk catching anything!!!

Waited 10 mins to be served only 1 member of staff on service counter while it was a busy time 17:00 a member of the food prep team dropped food onto floor and returned it to the service counter reported to manager

15 minutes to get served. 10 minutes of this was standing at the till as the next customer. Then took 10 minutes for food. Place was not clean. Binned food, won’t be back.

Went through the drive through. Asked for a chicken burger on it's own, meaning no fries or drink.

Dirty floor and tables, 10 min wait to be served, 20 min wait for the food.

I am usually more than happy with my KFC experience but this is one I'll remember for the wrong reasons...the toilets despite saying they are regularly checked, had no toilet roll, the young girl who took our food order looked at us like aliens when we asked for 3 boneless strips...so they didn't turn up on our tray...Just 3 dips did...there was no cutlery so I had to pour my side of beans straight into my mouth, no offer of extra condiments, the floor was littered with chicken bones, straws and chips, the tables were all filthy, bins were overflowing and we were only given straws and salt on our tray so we had no napkins or wipes as means to clean our hands after our meal. This our first and LAST visit to this branch of KFC.

After waiting over 20 minutes in the drive thru, to then be told that no stock again of Gravy! Which makes a kfc. One not very customer as not the first time this happened. Also felt very sorry for the people in front of us they had nothing in stock they wanted.

I have been several times to this branch and it's always horrific the amount of time you have to wait for your order even if there is very few customers. Most occasions I have visited over the last 6 months the wait has been more than 7 minutes after you have paid for food. (You can see this in the counter on their screen)

Me and my partner were here for dinner we had a six piece bargin bucket and four fries and a gravy each the staff were very helpful and friendly and the service was excellent.

I love KFC, normally, but have been regularly disappointed by this branch, my orders have always been wrong in one way or another, cold food, dismissive service. I don't expect 5 star service but manners are good! Alice was very helpful, and deserves a mention here, very sweet girl, but I got gravy instead of coleslaw, fries are always cold, up your game KFC!!!

My hubby and I dipped in to KFC DRIVE for a quick meal. Expecting mediocre food. This was the best KFC we have had. Staff were accomodating, food was TOO HOT!! Options given, friendly staff. Didn't have to panic eat to eat warm food. Chips were lovely. Well done KFC. we nearly went back to them to say well done.

Simply the worst, cold meal , bad customer service, dirty, bins fall and over following, no drinks or bottles, said limited menu (but had nothing to sell) waste of time and money being open ...... looks like it might be due for closure

Well kfc your food is rubbish used the drive through put in my order when I get home witch is 2mins away all food stone cold.plus the beers and large fries were missing most fast food just the same .it should not be like that big firm lost its grip .and the week after my visit you close all kfc because you have no chicken .i hope someone has lost there job for this complete mess .but I doubt it .wont go there ever again .verdict rubbish

Despite recently having had a refit this restaurant is disappointingly dirty. Bins overflowing, tables dirty and sticky, spillages on the floor left unattended. Makes you wonder what the back area is like. !

Service from the manager maybe, was excellent, helpful and ask if the food was okay as I left. Never had this before at any kfc so well done keep it up.

On arrival of visit my so took me to disabled toilet as i am wheelchair bound.you could smell urine before you got to the toilets.whilst my husband ordered the food .the disabled toilet was filthy.toilet seat was broken and the smell of urine was very bad .my son went to mens toilet where he found urine all over the floor loo roll everywhere.and he slipped on the wet floor.after getting our order the season fries had as it looked like they had just poured the seasoning onto the fries .they were so over powering they couldn't be eaten .as for the chicken on the bone there was more bone than chicken and the beans tasted like they had been burnt .the tables had not been cleaned. and when the employee finally come out to cleanup it was just empty the bin .I had to clean my table myself six employees is counted out the back doing nothing .all I can say is.sort it out .I will definitely not be coming back .Disgusting

On arrival I took my mum into the disabled toilets and the toilet seat was broken, and she sat down and she nipped her back side, I then went into the men's toilets and before I got in it stunk really bad I went into the toilet and the floor was drenched I tried being careful and doing so I slipped over there was toilet role everywhere and puddles everywhere I then walked out and notified the staff that I had slipped over they didn't apologies or anything I then asked if someone could go and mop it and no one attended to it we ordered the double bucket the food was warm but the chips were over seasoned and the beans were burnt if nothing happens I will be taking it further the place is vile if I could give it less then one star I would

Never disappointed here. Always hot and consistent with what is produced. Sometimes let down with the drive through not being open but hey ho it not a big deal.

Slimy muck and cold chips. The staff must only work there for the satisfaction they get from serving up this filth to the poor public, they certainly give that impression.

Every time i go here for a large order for work thay never get it right allways the same thing miss the sides and thay dont anaser the phone when you ring to complane

Fast food should be fast. Point one. Yes, fresh also, but fast is implied.

Rude staff always get the impression they are ripping off their customers deliberately omitting items we ended up getting a coke that tasted like urine and the young lad bragging about the fact he had ripped us off to a Supervisor who looked like an ex con who seemed to be ruling the roost. . Dirty restaurant Staff don't care and get the impression it is a very toxic workplace. Every time we have eaten here we have had a stomach upset or found the food very salty.

Ate here as a family, won't be going again the place was so filthy even the kids were put off there food, you could literally scrape the grime off of the place. It's so bad the entrance way is black on the floor where people are walking the dirt in and out.

I have unfortunately gave this branch many chances and every time without fail they mess up. Their boneless chicken 90% of the time is wet and undercooked. If you get a bucket of chicken then expect mainly wings and small chicken. They are guaranteed to forget an item of your order so remember to check before you leave - also ask for a receipt, it seems they never even offer to give you one. Would avoid at all costs and visit another branch, it will be worth the drive for better food.

I have used this KFC several times during the day and have had mixed results. I think with all fast food places you like to go in when it's quiet but you really need to go in when its busy. The latter means your food will be piping hot not just kept warm.

Very disappointing visit. the place was empty one person in the que In front of me. 3 tills but only one person serving doing the drinks and getting the food.

Staff not interested. Chips and rubbish on the floor. Long queues and orders all muddled up. This KFC is the worst I have come across, steer well clear. Manager should be ashamed as should the team that work with him.
