They contract a parking company known as Civil Enforcement LTD. Dine in at your own risk, lest you risk a £100.00 fine. KFC will fob you off with the 3rd party excuse. "We can't do anything". (This old chestnut only takes you so far). Meanwhile, they outsource these lowlifes, (Civil Enforcement LTD) to farm KFC patrons for extra £££ cash, like KFC farms broiler chickens. They do not care if you have multiple receipts for money spent at KFC during your stay. (Yes, KFC punishes you for giving them more money!) This KFC (C04 9HB) use ANPR cameras. Meaning they extract your information from the DVLA, who are obviously in their back-pocket. The days of GDPR are GONE! They will find your address (Thanks, DVLA), and threaten to harass if you do not pay their parking invoice. The parking company are a private firm, yet they want to apply council penalty charges with prices that exploit the working poor. (f you are not the council you do not get to act like them!) Especially when your supposed penalties far exceed the prices that councils would ever dream of imposing on members of the public! These are prices that people just cannot afford to pay during the current economic climate. The car park was near EMPTY and their cheap signage was blocked by larger vehicles. I would love to know how my presence cost them £100 in an empty parking lot. I feel disgusted with myself for making multiple purchases at this KFC on the same date during my stay. It is tragic how KFC outsources aggressive cowboy companies to extract money from people who are for the most part average, and not well off financially. There is little money to be made on the backs of the less fortunate, and for a company worth $5.4 BILLION it is a true disgrace. Not even the councils are this heavy-handed when it comes out to issuing penalties. Usually, it is a stern warning, followed by £50 - £70.00 KFC - If you are reading this, you have alienated a lifelong customer. I am sure you will experience severe backlash from hard working members of the public who just want to get on with life if you continue to operate in such a despicable manner. Lastly, Your care squad did nothing to help, and your "3rd party "Civil Enforcement" prefers to send threatening letters, rather than responding to calls. (They do not have an email). Do not even hope to win with POPLA, it is rigged in favour of the Parking agencies. Went to kfc on high street in shop to take away, for a quick easy dinner for myself and friend. Staff were completely incompetent, asked for large meals and repeated myself multiple times and received smalls and order was wrong. Staff interrupted me whilst trying to order and refused to change my food as it was wrong. I ordered a krushem shake and it was only filled 3/4 of the way and did not receive a straw for my other drink. Kfc has really gone downhill, flavors and quality of food is awful. Will not be going there again.

The order was quick done but when i FO back Home and open bag was missing drink and fries. Chicken coating was hard like a rock probably was cook midday. Never back there again

Took 35 min. Came cold chips half cooked and grumpy service. The Fanta was ok though. Oh tables were dirty too.

Awful staff in the restaurant who think that when it’s busy, the bare minimum effort is required. Asked a member of staff if we could have one of the few available tables free wiped over as they was all filthy and was met with just a look of disgust from the employee for having the cheek to ask. Toilet facilities are so disgusting that diners in the restaurant were warning others not to use them. Various delivery drivers in the store queue up at the collection point and block people from getting their food whilst they impatiently wait for their orders however staff behind the counter just shrug the shoulders and expect you to acrobatically retrieve your order instead of asking them to move despite me already asking them and being ignored. It is a shame because the food as good but the service inside and the factions themselves including the seating area are appalling and should only be allowed to serve via drive through until they can put a plan in place to maintain some level of cleanliness (just like McDonalds)

We gave this drive through one note chance. It’s complete abysmal! Beyond slow….., Do yourself a favour and go to a fast food outlet that understands customer service

Ordered 3 zinger trilogy deals when delivered food was cold sides were missing such as gravy,beans,corn of cob. All missing. When I phoned and said I would missing items and I would bring them back. Was told I couldn't do that and to contact just eat directly. Disgusted as this is not the first time. Will not be using this restaurant again.

I have used the drive thru on Ipswich Road 3 times now and all I will say is it definitely wasn't 3rd time lucky. But it will be the 3rd and final visit. The only positive thing I can say about kfc was the young girl that served me was pleasant. The chicken was dry and taste less. It was not particularly hot either. The fries well I have never seen such a misery portion about 10 fries in a bag . And looked sorry for themselves wilted in the tiny bag they came in. I chose Pepsi as my drink not only was it warm it was totally flat with no ice. It was undrinkable. My previous 2 visits to this drive thru were very similar to this one. KFC you really need to up your game.

The worst piece of chicken in my fillet burger, the meat was dark, tough, and chewy.. won't be going back again in a hurry..

Chicken was all overcooked and hard. Gravy far too thick like jelly Stanway needs lessons from clacton. Never had a bad one in Clacton.

Once again I came here and waited 6 minutes at the drive through last window. And yet again they got the order wrong!! I shouldn’t have to check my order ever time! This is worse than the high street Kfc. AVOID At all costs

Pathetic experience all round, no chicken ready and the krushems machine broken. This restaurant needs to have a big inspection and sort themselves out! The colonel would be turning in his grave

Not really any interaction or customer service in here. Just a conveyor belt of yourself and deliveroo drivers. Not pleasant at all but food tasty enough.

Just been to the Tollgate store! It was a dreadful experience! We went In for a take away as the drive thru was very busy to find 5 member of staff just joking and messing about the whole time we put our order through till when we left, the grave was disgusting it was like dish water, and the chips were stone cold!

No chicken ! No refund ! Selected items on the kfc app. Picked up from store ! Got home no chicken just fried rice and gravy ! Phoned up to complain the manager Chelsea said she’ll replace it tomorrow ? I wanted the chicken this evening ! So asked for a refund today ! KFC policy is big to issue refunds apparently ! I was robbed. No money ! No chicken ! Still waiting on off to respond before I go to the local papers and trading standards. Check your order before you leave.

Good food and priced well, seems to be nicer then the newer KFC in stanway only complaint would be that they need to clear the tables more often.

Absolutely disgusting ordered a meal and my chicken was green/black will never ever be eating from this restaurant chain again, isn’t the first time this has happened either. Manager was unhelpful awaiting my refund !

So I ordered my popcorn chicken meal with rice. Expecting it to be fast food as it wasn’t every busy however 10 min later the small waiting are which was no bigger then a public toilet was pact. Instead of giving food out they just kept taking orders!!! I only saw two cooks. Two teenagers god knows when they doing and two till staff. Which one rudely pushed passed everyone to open the doors. Now the delivery people like Uber eats kept pushing past and blocking the counter. It was load and I flight a going to break out. It didn’t. I waited 40 min for my food. FAST FOOD I WOULD DISAGREE. However the rice was really nice it was steaming hot and nice and spicy so I will allow it also the food was freshly cooked.

So slow!!!!!! It wasn’t busy but it took half an hour between ordering and receiving our food Not going back !!

All tables full so had to eat sandwich in loo but staff said it was for customers only even though ibought it at stanway kfc

We had a takeaway which was not good. Chips hard and soggy.Chicken cold and tasteless.We have always enjoyed KFC from the colchester restaurant before, but ended up throwing this in the bin.Tried to ring several times to complain, but got no answer.Suffice to say we will not be returning.

It was ok, the chicken was quite a lot saltier than I have had at other KFC restaurants. I went on a Friday lunchtime and it was quite busy, the area where you wait for your food could be better.

Chicken is chicken, not the cleanest of KFC's I've ever been to, service is average and food is as you would expect it.

Stopped going to high st one as always appeared dirty! Stanway total opposite cheery polite staff, clean and tidy, fresh food gravy as it should be, not watered down!!

Great tasking chicken, the burgers were great also we really enjoyed our meal which was delivered for us
