Kfc in North West Leicestershire

We went through the drive through it was a quiet lunchtime. We ordered a boneless chicken meal. Its been a while since we last ordered a KFC but was worth a wait. The food was piping hot freshly cooked even the coleslaw tasted amazing. The only issue we had was we didnt have napkins spoons or forks so had to go back in to collect those items.

We arrived at this KFC at 9pm and ordered two wraps of the day. The wraps were not toasted as they should be. They were cold. When we mentioned to the staff the reason was that the toaster was turned off as ‘it was late’. Bearing in mind that they are open until 11pm this was a poor excuse for serving below standard food.

What has happend to kfc? Honestly one of my favourite treats but having had several bad experiances at Ashby de la zouch I will not be going back. They allways miss the hash brown of the wkd zinger tower box meal, no salsa, and the worst bit completely bone dry chicken, dry hot wings, and individual origional recipie peace’s of chicken smaller than hot wings and look like they have been burnt in a dehydrator. I would go back but I refuse to give them another chance to ruin my day. Avoid!

The food was your average kfc, minorly cold but out in good time considering I ordered more at the collection window. I’d like to give special mention to the guy who was on collection window at mid-day on the 18th Jan. I didn’t catch his name but he wore glasses and has ear length brown hair? He was so incredibly polite and a huge customer service man. Was more than happy to add my additional items and asked me to double check they were in the bag before I left. He didn’t need the mouthful of abuse he got from his colleague in front of his peers and customers for asking me to check. The lady who shouted at him was so unbelievably unprofessional considering if it weren’t for him this would be a 1* review.

Restaurant was virtually empty & indeed whilst I had my meal it did empty. However, even though a staff of about 6 handled a slow, intermittent, flow of cars thru' the drive through ..little attention was paid to the restaurateurs inside, with 1-2 members of staff on duty. First impressions were off putting, no 'paddle markers' on the self service machines (or anywhere else), no paper in any of the self service machines, so no receipts could be given, and then the unfamiliar process of giving an empty container in place of your dessert wasn't explained .... All of the above to one side ....service was actually very quick, albeit brusque, and the food did taste good, and my milky bar ice cream was definitely worth the wait...so much so that they get an extra star! A few small changes and they could be a 4 or 5 star establishment which could easily attract passing trade from the ever burgeoning A42.

The bottom of the bucket fell out and grease went everywhere because it was swimming in grease . It was all soggy and not pleasant. I don’t think I will go to the Ashby KFC ever again

Rubbish kfc 3 times I've tried first was cold second chicken greasy third chicken burnt on outside and under cooked in side 8 chips unappetising went in the bin give it a miss and go McDonald's instead

I've never had a high opinion of KFC, but on this occasion I gave into my teen daughter's request since it was close to her birthday. I ordered and paid for the food thru the app and turned up at the take away window 10 mins later. They couldn't find my order for some reason and we sat there for 5 mins before the order appeared. Back home a couple of minutes later and the fries were clearly luke-warm and unworthy of consumption. The chicken was soft and mushy and the spicy coating fell off in big chunks. Awful food; the best thing about this meal was the bottle of Pepsi, which I never really wanted anyway. Yuk, avoid this place at all costs.

Zinger tower box meal - both the burger & gravy box were dirty & the gravy was like coloured water. Disgusting. I called to let them know about the gravy, was told nobody else had complained if I wanted to come back they were swap the gravy?? So I’ll drive 20 minutes for another gravy & let the rest of the meal go cold, who’s going to do that? The meal went in the bin, what a waste of money

If you want to buy a takeaway that’s wrong every time this is the place to go, how hard can it be chicken or chips or chips and chicken. Absolutely useless

Never have I ever had such a bad takeaway .. I went in ordered 3 meals on screen paid .. 35 mins later after sitting in an empty restaurant no other customers I asked where's my food ? I was looked at as if I had two heads .. 3 members of staff were putting food in and out in and out in and out of the bags .. what 10x my food was fingered .. And it wasn't finger licking !! The krushams I ordered were not available so they gave me cokes' which are 70p cheaper than Krushams I had to demand a refund of the difference. Then the bag of heavily fingered food was given to me .. I peered in My words were WTF I passed it back and asked if they were actually taking the piss ! It had been dumped in upside down and all the food was in the bottom of the bag ... more fingering bag passed back . I get home .. food thrown in bin . Raw chicken cold floppy chips congield gravy the fillet was grey and that rubbery you couldn't cut it .. not acceptable Kfc I believe you owe me £26 get your act together

Waited at the drive thru to be asked what our order was and was left waiting for ten minutes. Eventually gave up and decided to drive round to window 2, where an employee saw us waiting and just walked past the window without acknowledging us. He appeared to be very busy talking to his colleague. Very disappointed by this service.

Everytime i come here for a quick and easy meal after a busy day at work there always seems too be something thats wrong. This time was no different. Bought a trilogy box meal and upgraded too a zinger tower burger took 20minutes for my food to arrive got no dip the fillet of chicken was practically none existent it was that small and the burger wasnt even a tower burger i come here because ashby mcdonalds is even worse and because of the convenience be nice too come here 1 day and theres nothing too complain about

So today I ordered my first delivery from here the delivery collected and delivered brilliantly by Uber Eats!! But that was the only thing that was fantastic the 2 children’s portions where extremely tiny and the chips soggy!! Then it came to mine only 2 items 4 pieces of chicken and a gravy !! Well they couldn’t even get that right the gravy was missing. I telephoned them straight away but apparently nothing they could do !! They acknowledged it was done wrong but offered no refund or any option other then ring Uber eats when it was clearly a mistake by KFC. So result was a £7,99 meal went in the bin I don’t like dry chicken. The worst customer service I have ever known

The food was cold and the bread from my burger was mouldy, someone of my chips where under cooked and hard still,I’ve heard that the chicken had been re dated when the chicken went out of date, I’ve been told this by a member of staff that I am relatively close with, the service here is the worst I have ever seen and ever single member of staff are so ignorant and rude!! The service is slow and they restaurant is dirty for saying it is quite new! Get your act together Ashby kfc!!!

Came to the new kfc tonight, the place is clean and modern but the staff are a little slow so suppose it's the same as any other kfc really....the food was nasty 4 stars...

The worst KFC I’ve been to, don’t go there. Dirty tables, dirty floors, no staff cleaning, staff completely blanking you when collecting food, and to top it all the food is cold. What’s there to like? I would be disgusted and embarrassed to be associated with working at this KFC. But then I care about these fundamental components of running a restaurant which this KFC clearly doesn’t.

I was there last week and I had a cookie it fell to peices it was all damp we told them but one them was giving us a horrible look one week later I came back and I had a bucket with my kids and I saw a human hair and I was like that could be one from your hair or you no where else it could of been from hygiene 1 staff——0

If you see more than 3 people in the queue then turn around, The staff will flap, Lose all manors , and you will be missing half the food from the bag. Manager is a real pleb and does not care about customer complaints. Bad outfit !!

Food took an eternity to come out but it did taste ok. The real issue issue is how bad the cleaning is (or isn’t) done. The floors were dirty, clear evidence of leftover food on the floors and on the tables. Then you get to the toilets. Well just see the photos for yourself. I was so disgusted that I couldn’t even go. Staff were vocal with their private life comments so everyone could hear, a lot of chattering and messing about yet no one committed to a decent level of food service and absolutely no one committed to any cleaning. The toilet I had the misfortune to visit hadn’t been cleaned in months. I would never venture into this KFC if I was hungry or needed the toilet. Dreadful.

Food ok wait and service terrible. Staff standing around in the back. Microphone left on so you can hear everything. Bad

Firstly, The service. The service was slow and shockingly bad, When I commented on the wait (being one of the only people in the shop) the woman laughed. Secondly, the food was cold and just terrible.

I just popped in for something to eat. Long wait at the drive through. When I ordered I ordered 3 chicken normal and one fries. When I got home opened the bag. Only to find NO fries and 3 bits of chicken that was not even warm. What a shame as the Coalville KFC is just as bad. I went here when it opened and it was great. I will try again hopefully it will be better next time as I love KFC. Sorry guys

Visited the new restaurant on Sunday night,food was good but the service was a little slow as of only one guy at the front ,would come back.

I think this place had just reopened when I went a month ago so I wouldn’t give such a bad review. The service was alright but when I got my lunch box the chips were very slimy and sloppy but the chicken was quite crisp and delicious [also the Krushem machine wasn’t working]So in all my experience here was not that bad.

Visited this new KFC tonight. Worst food I have ever experienced from a KFC Restaurant. It had clearly been cooked and left standing for a long period of time and was virtually inedible. Very unlikely I will be going again anytime soon

Visited this kfc with my children excited as it’s new to our area only to be very disappointed only seemed like there was one staff young girl working and taking orders had to wait ages for the food which wouldn’t be a probably if all the food was the same temperature but it wasn’t my burger was cold and they forget the extras that come with the meal, so had to wait another 10 minutes for the food to be re cooked by this time 2 of my family had finished there meals and had to wait patiently for my food to arrive, I said to the manager this isn’t right but he just said sorry and turned his back lots of dinners was returning there food whilst I waiting for my food this place really needs to get some staff trained before they had even opened.

Lovely new clean restraint. The food is fresh and cooked nicely just takes ages to show up. Waited 10 minutes for the food to show up and have now waited over 8 minutes for 2 cream balls.

Absolutely spot on compared to other kfc places , we use the drive through seemed busy but got through quick . We live 10 minutes away and got home and the food was still hot. The far best kfc we have been too !

Food was practically raw. Had a tray meal drive through. First impressions was ok on a Thursday lunch good job I didn't see the staff first or I wouldn't have ordered anything the clothes they were wearing were filthy and at window 2 the chap putting the food on the tray was wearing a tee shirt scratching himself. I knew it wasn't a good idea. No offer of napkins wrong drink even though the guy said it was the right one to late once you've driven away. The meat was raw in my twister meal way to much sauce. Given coleslaw no fork how on earth are you meant to eat it. Gave up in the end and binned it just shocking, lack of training, I suggest people stick to McDonald's.

Arrived at 21.51 finally recieved food at 22.21 full of excuses and cant talk to customers with appropriate language and spoke to store manager today and hes totalky unaware of any issues and hes very apologetic

This KFC is so much better than the Coalville branch! And I love having a local kfc that we don’t have to travel too, food is great and fresh and the place looks great

After a long wait the new KFC restaurant in Ashby finally opened. The building is very modern and looks super, with the usual drive thru at the side.
