Clean and friendly restaurant. Staff who know what they're doing and care about what you want. Lovely fresh food. I go here instead of the awful one in Ipswich Road, Colchester CO4 9WP England. Night and day Well done KFC Clacton, you've kept me as a KFC customer!

Very poor Even the tea was rancid £20 for what is essentially a chicken burger meal and a Wrap meal Can’t order at the counter, only 2 out of 3 machines working On top of it all they wanted 50p for a pot of spicy mayo Never again

Absolutely crap. Terrible fries. Look at photo. And forgot the drinks. We realised and had to go back. Shame because last year was very good

Very poor food. About 6 chips per portion. Ordered a 14 pce bargain bucket only 2 thighs the rest were wings or legs. Wasn't very hot. Would never go back. Not worth the time or money

This was truely awful, fries were dreadful, chicken Tasteless and dry, the whole meal was cold. Only decent thing was the coleslaw and that’s supposed to be cold. Dreadful meal should be shut down

I’ve been here twice and both times I’ve been given what seems like yesterdays dry chicken and chips . NEVER again sorry

The staff obviously hate their customers. They won't come out from behind the counter to either clean tables or deliver the table service. They'd rather argue even when presented with a receipt showing table service and blame the computer. So keep your ears listening out for your order number or better still don't bother eating here.

On visiting kfc Clacton drive through I asked could I do two swperate orders and the staff member named Jess was extremely rude and said she couldn’t do that when I asked could I speak with a manager she asked me why I wanted to speak with them and became even more rude customer care was not on her list of duties clearly poor service and extremely rude staff

This KFC on Brook Retail Park was a great find as staying nearby in caravan. We found staff to be friendly and helpful. The food was ready quick and was tasty and importantly hot. Nice atmosphere in restaurant and ddnt feel rushed. Coffee was also nice and hot. Well done to all.

Been several times in the last few months. Every time, they have forgotten something on our order. Never provide napkins etc. Tables, bins and floors never cleaned or emptied, despite what seems like a hundred staff members standing behind the counter. AVOID!!!!

Visited for lunch. Admittedly very busy but tables left with food debris and rubbish on them. No cleaning of tables between customers. Floor littered with rubbish and food. Ladies toilets had a very wet floor by the sinks, possible slip hazard. Staff standing behind the counters talking, didn’t appear to be a lot of work being done. Surely at least tables should be wiped down between customers

Are the staff at kfc hiding behind the sight they have posted on there notice board about staff will not tolerate rude customers because if they are they should practise what they preach went there today must have been six staff behind the counter but stood waiting to order as though I had a invisible cloak on finally got there attention when I asked fo salad no salad then I asked for salt no salt sat down to eat no plates so went back asked for plates no plates so said have you any think I could eat off was thrown to cartons yes thrown no apology for any of this see other people walk out for same waiting time staff are rude silly little girls who think more of talking to each other than serving and that goes for the older man who seemed to be in charge wake up kfc or you will be facing all the other business esthetician have closed

Went yesterday got my lunch for my children and myself a chicken salad from drive through. Asked if I'd like an extra fillet in my salad , I said no thank you one is enough ! to get home and see there was only half a fillet lol luckily I'm a light eater!

Can’t even buy a Normal coke or Pepsi, what on earth have they done to the chips , Krush ems never available , long waiting time! Avoid at all costs

Waited in the drive through line for over 50 minutes. When I finally got home I checked my order. There was a burger missing from one of the box meals and believe it or not there was no boxes just everything mixed and loose in a paper bag. Went back and demanded a replacement and was told they were really busy. I swear there was only four people in the restaurant. There seems to be no management on duty and none of the staff had the faintest idea of what they were doing!! As I left another women was stopped at the front door who wanted to complain about missing items in her order. Stay well away and save yourselves the same hassle as me.

Box for one, not much in it. Chips mediocre and not very hot. Good enough to fill a hole but that's all

It was clearly busy when I entered the establishment, however, there was no one waiting in the queue. I went to the order section and noted four members of the restaurant busy loading bags with orders. After approximately ten minutes of being totally ignored I asked if they were taking orders. I was informed by one of the team that presently they were not because they were busy. I then enquired how long would I be required to wait and was met with a shrug followed by “I don’t know”. I was then told I could order from the booth, so I enquired if it took ‘Apple Pay’. Once again I was met with a “I don’t know” response. Having lost the will to continue, I left. There was clearly a total lack of supervision and most certainly a total lack of customer service and good old fashioned good manners. I won’t be returning.

My sister ordered her food just after 6pm today to then get an email back 2 hours later saying they can not deliver her food with no reason. It makes it worse that they never called us back to tell us this. I work around delivery’s and this is not right!!!

Why bother, sub standard KFC chicken dry , service bad and an hours wait to go through the drive through, shameful

Just went to KFC never again food was dry it had been hot held to long chips been double dipped the only thing it was fit for was the birds that I feed

KFC used to be value for money and tasty think it will be last time at clacton kfc for us went there yesterday the chicken pieces have shrunk to nuggets coating so bad it was hard chips dry and soggy that’s just the food it is run by young staff who think there job there is to stand and talk to each other about there life so forget what should be going in your order so you have to go back and ask for what they forgot see one woman complain about her food to be laughed at by the staff when she walked away rude childish little girls who think they have the authority to treat customers badly seen one of the staff who must have been hot pick up one of the folded cartons while talking to another start fanning herself round her hair and face and then put it back on the pile to be used and we are in a epidemic get your hygiene right

Queued for ages, restaurant was a mess, food order was wrong, I can let all these things slide because of ‘eat out to help out’ I understand it’s a busy time, but, 1 member of staff told us where to sit then a older female comes over with a bad attitude telling us we couldn’t sit there, her attitude is seriously bringing that branch down, she shouted over the counter to another family too, other serves and till staff were great. We will not return to that branch of KFC

At 74, probably the first time I've been to a KFC but my wife was desperate for some mini-fillets. Arrived just after mid-day - nobody queuing, greated at the entrance by a member of staff who sprayed hand-sanitizer and directed me round the one-way system. Two friendly young women behind the counter served me immediately - I explained what I was after and in less than five minutes, was out again, with the exit door being held open for me. Polite, cheerful and safe.

on march the third 2020 i took a short lunch break to kfc. The building looked large from afar but when inside it was miniscule. The interior design was very strange as the queue for ordering leads directly through the middle of the building. when i reached the counter the woman aggressively interrogated me about my order i asked for a takeaway and the main meal but she stated that it was mandatory to order a drink and sides. i was unsure what the options were so i asked and she just stared back at me blankly. the woman was very awkward so i panicked and starting guessing potential sides and drinks. once i had finally ordered, my meal was prepared quickly, however as i did not want the drink or have a spoon provided for my sides i had to throw them away. this is very wasteful! the food tasted good though so i guess that's a plus.

I do not participate very often in the KFC bargain bucket but occasionally succumb and it always delivers. Not the best food when your trying to lose weight but handy when you cant be bothered to cook, and need something immediately to eat.

Was my favorite place to have a nice lunch but today when I ordered a festive burger came with cranberry souce in it wich was discusting I will not buy it again

used to have this regular since they changed suppliers of chicken it dosn't taste as good as it did wont be having again what a shame

Arrived here at about 9:30PM, at least 4 tables were full of left over rubbish and food from a previous table. This shocked me as i saw 4 employees stood behind the counter all talking to each other doing absolutely nothing! All the bins were overflowing and hadn't been emptied for hours! As i was telling the guy behind the counter my order i could hear his colleagues behind him joking and swearing, not what i want to hear/see when i come in for something to eat! As i was waiting for my order i peered over the counter and the mess i saw was just unnecessary; the floors littered with mess, seemed like they hadn't been swept all day, ice cream machine covered in dried up ice cream/milkshake, can easily be wiped and cleaned in no longer than 15 seconds. The counters were just as bad, littered with rubbish and i dont like to think what else. An absolutely POOR restaurant. Will NOT be coming back anytime soon.

We ordered 2 mighty buckets to take away. When we got home and opened it, the food looked overcooked and the breading was dark brown as if the oil needed changing. When we bit into the chicken it was dry and tasteless. Also the fries were cold and dry. It was as if they had reheated yesterday's food.

Went to have a family meal was not bizzy at all today made my order and asled for no drum stick as no one eats then and got mini fillet meal to spent 50 pound in there got are meal in the party box witch you get 14 bits of chicken witch is good but 10pices where drumsticks I asked the blonde hair girl that I asked for no drumstick she told me you get what you get and to top it of no hot wings 3chips missing gravy was cold so I asked rely nicely and was told by hear I'm bizzy can't you see that so I will be sending an email to your head office about this rely bad today rely bad

The Cornel would turn over in his grave.. if he ONLY KNEW.KFC Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, EnglandMy wife and I had eaten here a few times because it is local. The thing is you go there 3 out of 5 times and the Hot drinks machine is never working, so you really don't have any choice but have either cold bottled water or soft drinks that are full of sugar. Not acceptable, this is the only KFC this has ever happened, and it occurs so regularly.But!!! There is something even WORSE, there is a young woman that DOESN'T Know how to use a hanky... She uses her hand or arm, for her CANDLES So, So, DISTGUSTING She would never work for me. She is at the front counter either serving the drinks or picking out the food to put on your tray or bag... HYGIENE is not on the MENU. Don't they know THAT CARRIES GERMS... I used to work in KFC Penrith, NSW Australia, This would not be tolorated, Hygiene was extremely strict.

I had the three bits of chicken and chips meal with a drink, the only best thing was the free wipes and the drink, the rest was disgusting,the chips were very few and soggy the chicken was dripping in grease. Come on KFC get your act together

The chicken was nasty no flavour the beans was hard and the chips was so horrible I don't know when they was made but it can't have been today they left a funny after taste yuk will not be eating here again

was going to use drive tru but it was so busy we went in an orderd wrong choice the drive thru was just as quick an the food was lovely

Loads of food under the floors and chairs!!!! They wasn't busy, go to the bathroom the toilets were to dirty to use!! No hand soap and no way of drying them as the hand dryer didnt work!

This restaurant has not long been refurbished and is quite a pleasant atmosphere. The food came quite quickly and was good.

I want to complain about the very poor experience i have just had at this restaurant - i am a clubcard member, and wanted to use the 10 piece variety bucket deal for £14, firstly the scanner at the shop wasn't working, so the lady serving had to key things in manually. The deal came up on the cash register ok, but the system would not let her accept payment - she went to get a supervisor who said 'we are changing our offers, so you cant use the deal today' - i questioned why if the deals change TOMORROW, I could not have the deal TODAY -she mumbled something about not her fault, its the paperwork. I cannot understand how a deal that is still valid today - it came up on the til and of course was on my phone too cannot be processed? She then said have you used the deal recently and i said no not used this at all and not been to KFC for a couple of weeks - as somehow this sometimes affects things - even if i had used the deal before (which i haven't) it would be irrelevant - if it was only to be used once, then surely you would automatically make it invalid after use - which clearly was not the case. I asked what deals were available and they said 'none as the new ones come in tomorrow' - they said i could have 6pieces for £9 - how does this stack up against 10 pieces, 4 wings, 4 strips for £14? I am very disappointed with my treatment today. I came away so disgusted with my treatment, that i could not bring myself to buy anything.

KFC are always a good alternative when you are hungry and want something to eat quickly. The bargain bucket is good value for money

The last twice we have used them the receipt says the right things but when we get home it is never what we order. I do think they just need more staff

I ordered a three piece meal and when I got the order it was a two piece, when I asked for the additional piece instead of charging me for a three piece meal they charged me for an extra piece of chicken, I didn't realise until later that I had been charged the extra, I made a complaint on-line and they didn't bother getting back to me, terrible customer services.

I have visited the drive through several times and even though the staff are very friendly and always helpful my order is always wrong. It isn’t till you get home and realise things are missing. I have called on several occasions to complain and always had helpful people on the phone however I don’t get why it can’t just be right in the first place as it really lets the place down. Such a shame as the food is so tasty

Had a couple of bad experiences here I always said I wouldn't go back and like a fool did and got pieces of chicken which looked like it had been kicked around was all exposed bone and red. When complained to head office was told must have been a bad day and manager would be told on there return that was as much of an apology I got, what a waste of money won't be returning.

Went through the drive though just before 12 tonight, ordered fillet burger and a fillet of fire burger, got home looked like crap ( really crap ) half way through eating mine I felt something in my mouth and pulled it out and was a long dark hair, obviously felt sick and throw the s—t away, if the manager reads this post I hope you sort your place out it’s terrible just stand at the counter for an hour and see what’s going on there !

Food was good and hot.Not a fan of the new system at all preferred when you paid and the food was put on a tray there and then but hey how. It did us for a quick fill up before setting off. Not my first choice of places to eat I'm afraid.

Unbelievable. Fast food!!!! 25 mins to get food and they get in wrong. Told them and they spent five mins looking back at the receipt I gave them back! Some lazy girl strolling about the place with a bucket of dirty water to clean tables yet she missed every single one as I've never seen a fast food chain as disgusting as this in my life. Asked if I could get my table clean.... she actually asked me if I wanted her to do it!! Course not love..... I'm here as a customer and love doing your job and cleaning after others. So smeared the dirtiest cleaning water I've ever seen over my table to take the gnarled food off the table I chose. Could have found another table but all were disgusting. Clearly too busy walked around trying to look fashionable

We came here on a Friday evening and it was extremely busy with a really long queue, almost out of the door. It looked like all the tables and chairs were occupied. I ordered a Boneless Bucket, and it took quite a long time before I was served with it. Luckily by that time my husband had been able to find two seats together for us, as we didn't fancy eating it inside our car. The Boneless Bucket was ok but there were too many sauces with it and not enough chicken. We might be tempted to come back here the next time we visit England, but definitely not on a Friday evening! It was far too busy, confusing and noisy!

one word sums this up RUBBISH. crazy system, order food, move away and wait, and wait, and wait. Some energetic young man keeps preparing drinks, filling up containers of soft drinks, and has approximately 10 drinks on the counter at any one time. This is definitely not fast food,It was busy, but not very busy. Eventually our order was called, but by then we had lost the will to live.

Just come back from the KFC in clacton, Went through drive through and got home within 10 mins. I go to eat my food and it's stone cold and my chicken fillet burger was rock solid, so obviously I can't eat it. My partners burger was stone cold too. Also the lady who served us was plain rude and needs to learn some manners. She just swings my food out the window which then I grab before she drops it, and just says "there you go" and shuts the window. I didn't get offered any sauces. Very unimpressed

This is a normal but interesting KFC restaurant with drive through and it's the best one in that part of Essex which is because the restaurant inside looks clean and well designed, it has my favourite food to .

Don't have half the items on the menu, they won't use a different bun for a sandwich if they run out but will take items off the menu, was met with a hail of abuse when asked for the dirty floor to be cleaned, absolute disgrace to the name.

We are a family of 6 and eat takeaways a lot , KFC is very close so it's handy, it's either okay or terrible,

KFC is tasty and filling, I always go large on a boneless banquet with beans and pepsi no ice. They normally forget that I said no ice by the time I get to the window but doesn't overly matter. I have noticed the price of the meals have crept up lately but the snack boxes are still £1.99 which is decent if you just want a quick snack. They now charge for dips but I think the sachets of sauce are still free. The only thing I don't like about KFC is that they don't make it clear that all their meat is Halal meat which I don't agree on as its so cruel slicing the throat of an animal and letting it bleed to death which is totally unnecessary. There can be big queues at this branch especially in the drive through at peak times, usually a half hour wait.

We live locally and visit this Kfc on a fairly regular basis as we find the food tasty and always hot, the service is really great - fast and with a smile. If you should have a problem with the food a quick word with a member of staff and it will be immediately put right. What more can you ask for! The restaurant itself is bright and welcoming, we have always found it to be really clean. All in all a great Kfc and well worth visiting if in the area.

Its a good kfc but not all the time the gravy is never followed to spec some times it like dish water, chips never full, the piece of chicken in the burger and side piece you get in a big daddy box meal is tiny never a big piece if after 9pm.. they save the best bits for staff to take home for free when they close and im paying full price for a meal.

Great place to grab something quick and decent to eat. Food was hot and tasty and the staff are always great here. So polite and helpful, other takeaway chains could learn a thing or two from this place.

The food is excellent. Although the service appears to be fast, it is at the expense of getting the order right. I have complained MANY TIMES, as they rarely get my order right. Often items missing or we have been given the wrong items.

chips are served warm and bland. chicken is great honestly some of the best kfc ive had but its extremly oilly greasy than most kfc.. brilliant staff though

Haven't beend to the Clacton branch for a long time and just fancied a twister , since last going it has had a total refurbishment and very nice it looks , was served by a very pleasant young lady who was knowledgeable about the products , Our twister was lovely freshly cooked with moist chicken had forgotten how nice they were, was also very impressed when member of staff noticed some water on floor and immediately got a cloth and wiped it up a very pleasant experience

After refurbishment tried it out as usual polite helpful staff typical type of food associated with this brand. If you want a change from a take away hamburger try a chicken outlet like KFC

Food is always served quick and always tasty,out of all the kfcs this seems to give the quickest service staff always polite ideal if in ipswich

The store is now open again after extensive refurbishment and looks very good. Only thing is that it gets very busy and the queues soon build up if they only have one till open. Things started moving once another till opened but by then the queue was back to the door. Food is always hot and freshly cooked.

Visited on the first day of opening after a refurbishment and it looks good. Sadly the service left a lot to be desired, long queues forming waiting for food after placing order. There appeared to be far too many staff milling around 'behind the scenes' and not doing very much, the ones putting the orders together at the front of house seemed to be working as fast as they could and were doing their best to cope with, what looked like, a new computer/ordering system at the same time. Food was good when it arrived so hopefully the service side of things will improve over time.

Only been here once. Sunday afternoon and was very busy. Service was reasonably quick and the girl who served me was quite patient whilst I made my mind up. Food was ok.

Popped into this KFC for the first time ever after seeing the advert for 5 items for £3.00. We opened the door and the awful smell hit us first.....it wasn't the lovely KFC smell that wafts in the air and makes you fancy some chicken, that's for sure!!

My partner and I chose Clacton KFC as a treat for tea last night as we had seen the advert for pulled chicken burger. Decent service and prompt with our order but upon opening the pulled chicken burger box meal great disappointment!!! The burger was a massive failure!! A piece of bacon the size of a fifty pence piece, under cooked hash brown and very little pulled BBQ chicken!!!! The taste was also a great let down as was the very small portion of fries!!! Came away from there hungry and very disappointed! Never again!!

Some of the staff in there seem unprofessional and sometimes rude. The food isn't bad as long as you don't go on a Friday night when the food isn't always cooked thoroughly because of the business.

Just another KFC huh, Wrong. the eating area is filthy, the floor has loads of uneaten food lying about, The tables seem to never be cleared, The entrance door disabled function never works { IE push the button to open door, I am am disabled }

This outlet has a Drive-Thru and a Cafe, both are very popular so can it be extremely busy at peak periods. Staff are efficient and no matter how long the queues you do not have to wait too long for your food. Food is tasty and hot, and the cafe is clean and modern with well spaced tables.
