Had fish n chips from here. Absolutely disgusting. I'll never return to this place.

The worse fish and chips the chips was not cooked the fish was not fresh it was yellow the batter was not even edible, been a customer for years,rung to complain he was rude,where is customer rights

Takeaway that claims to deliver but then expect you to walk and get it pretty sure it defeats the point of home delivery

Been waiting 1hr 15 for my food hasn't even turned up rang the store got no reply 4times

I placed an order on Sunday evening for delivery to a holiday park nearby where our family own a caravan. We have used Choices before and have always found the food to be tasty, fresh & good value, so I was surprised to see some recent bad reviews. However going on previous experience I decided to use them again. The lady on the phone was polite & was happy to arrange for my order to be delivered to an agreed location within the holiday park. Our food arrived quickly & was still hot and was well packaged. All of the order was correct. The portions were really big & great value. Delicious kebabs with crisp salad & proper tasty chip shop chips, not those horrible string fries that some takeaway restaurants serve. Thanks Choices, we will be visiting the caravan again next month & will be looking forward to ordering from you again.

Food is good people they employ are disrespect to customers and they allow none employee behind counter women who takes orders said if you don't live in jaywick don't bother coming here and got her friend to attack me

Food was delicious fast delivery, they delivered to the campsite we are on holiday with. I was shocked at how very reasonable they are with thier prices. I ordered for 3 people and cost us a tenner ( including delivery) highly recommended. The food was filling and very tasty

Having been coming to you for years and ordering regularly, sometimes weekly you have just let me down with my dinner majorly, and rather than admit your mistake you blamed me and made me go without a dinner. I’ve just put £6.50 in the bin. I’ve ordered the same every time. I’ll will no longer be ordering from you.

Ordered food asked why have you only a 3 star rating told none of my business by a person who was behind counter I spend a lot of money on takeaway. Driver then treathend to beat me up so I left

Ordered two doner kebabs, one with garlic sauce one with salad, cheesy chips and a portion of chips. Delivered on time but when opened we were greeted with a very sparse pot of salad, a pot of sauce, chips that were cold and two trays of odd looking meat with slimy bits in and floating in liquid.... no sign of any pitta bread. Phoned the takeaway and she said we had ordered Adana kebab not doner kebab! Have never even heard of an Adana kebab! Anyhow shop totally unhelpful so definitely will not recommend to anyone and will not order again and we have now had to order a pizza as the slop in the tray was inedible!

Dropped a star as quoted 28 notes and normally tip them the rest. On delivery when I was out, they told wife 30.50. She panicked and had to rifle through penny jar to make up rest. Normally great food and service, although ignore the 30/45mins as usually an hour. Cheesy chips 5* as are portions. One of my fave places for delivery (was) Must admit though, will do a collection order soon, as for me was no1 place b4

How ever 2 nights ago we ordered our usual, house special extra chicken doner 3 pots of sauce potato’s & chicken wings. When it arrived a man working there called Charlie put 2 pots of the sauce all over our kebab. I don’t like chili sauce so hence the pots. We called to say it was wrong & was told next time we ordered it would be free as it wasn’t right this time. Charlie personally said to ask for him and he would sort it. So tonight we call up order our usual asked to speak to Charlie & he wouldn’t come to the phone or acknowledge the lady on the phone who was asking him the question instead he shouted out we should of rang the night it was wrong. We explained that we did call & he refused to speak to us. we were charged full price for our food today despite being told it would be free this time. Really poor customer service for a customer who spends at least £200 a month. We are so disappointed we wont be eating here again

Lovely kababs and still deliver until late

It’s a great little Kebab shop, don’t judge a book by it’s cover. Worth a shot, I highly recommend their chicken burgers, really nice sized chicken breast.

Working down here for the next 4 months, having driven down from Leeds was starving and just wanted some grub and sleep before hitting site early tomorrow, ordered a special chicken kebab from choices and then unfortunately fell asleep, the driver rang me twice and then got the guy at the desk to show him up so he could knock the door and gave me my kebab, I apologised and still half asleep went back into my room to savage the chicken, pitta and salad, minute later there’s another knock on the door, driver had realised he had forgotten my coke and bought it up, despite the fact I had no cash on me to tip him for all the hassle he was still cheerful and pleasant having done the stairs twice and had to mess around calling me. The kebab was bang on and exactly what I needed, I like a bit of grilled chicken and the combination of the food being good and the delivery drivers being excellent has ensured you will see me again no doubt! And I’m well aware I owe your driver a couple of quid for a pint! He’s an asset to your shop! All round quality job done!!! 5 stars and a very satisfied traveller looking forward to many more! The fish was simply awful. Tasted like it had been frozen recently and thawed out. Not fresh. Slushy fish meat, funny after taste, didn’t smell fresh. Daughter had burger and chips and this seemed a much nicer and safer option. Order online as you wouldn’t want to see the state inside the shop. By offering lots of choice of food the quality is poor and they should stick to what they know… which isn’t fish and chips. I wouldn’t eat there again.

Prices have sharpely risen portion size has shrunk. As regular customers we werent very impressed. Food was twenty minutes late not really acceptable with the price wise. Vote with the feet time for a change . Last time will will use choices. The food is average it doesnt warrant the price. Jaywick resident.

Well where do I start I phoned them at 11:40 to order some mushy peas they answered after 10 times of me phoning to be shouted at WERE CLOSED I live at the end of the road says they were open for delivery until 12 I had to walk to the shop in the rain not happy and do not recommend

Normally pretty good. Delivery time around 30 mi s on Friday evening. Knocked a star off as one order they didn't give me the coke I paid for and then didn't send it with my next weeks order after I asked for it . Started buying kebabs from their competition across the road for a couple of weeks after that. Was it worth losing 2x £15 orders, annoying a regular customer and getting a not great google review for the sake of giving me something I paid for? You stole my 80p , so hope it was. :)

Have used these many times but waited last night for 2 and half hours delivery when we phoned up they said an hour and we phoned up 3 times to ask where our food was usually it's nice and hot it was cold and they missed a fish cake on the order very disappointed in the way we was dealt with us as customers pay your wages so pull your socks up very dissapointed

I just looked at one of the reviews and the place was described as CLEAN, well they must have poor eyesight because that's why I gave one star, the food was OK decent price and friendly staff. But the place was absolutely filthy. I saw it had a 4 star review for cleanliness but I assumed that was the last time the place was cleaned was when it had an inspection. Everything was minging from the floors,walls,signs,children's chairs,salt and pepper pots,glass in the fish cabinets and the till wasn't like anything I've ever seen before.And that was just what I could see .Shockingly dirty, I can't believe clacton council allow such poor hygiene standards or complete lack of them

im putting this on here so choices pull there socks up .as you can see my other review was perfect this wasnt it took 3 phone calls to see where our food was when it came was cold ive used this place loads but this time dissapointed me i could of ordered somewhere else if i knew that 2 and a half hours to deliver you should look after your customers as they pay your wages and also missing a fish cake out of our order diddnt help either pull your socks up as you have been great upto now very dissapointed indeed

Best meal I've ever had! So if you don't know already, the monster resides in jaywick. HE collects the delicious chicken and fish that is used in this shop. This causes the food to be really really tasty. I had explosive diarrhoea because the food was so good. I would highly recommend any person to go to choices. It is brilliant value for money and the fish was caught by jaywick's best fisher, the monster, and the best frycook, the prisoner.

More like minus star my partner has been on the loo for hours, does not know what end coming out first. Have called doctors. Also son had chicken and chips said he couldn't eat it was disgusting. His girlfriend had pizza and there was hair in the dough. Disgusting

Went back to this one after a bad order from another clacton kebab, wish I never now Bones in the donner meat. Raw chips. Order slightly wrong. Would not advise anyone to try this.

Order here a lot not the best food but it's ok for the price delivery times are a joke they will tell u 45min but it's allways 1hr or more tonight was told 45min called up and 1.20min and was told sorry just 1 diver 20min that's 1hoir 40min for food are you kidding me if you said that I would have orders somewhere eles what a joke

We've been going to this takeaway for well over 15 years and I'd recommend it to anyone. Can't believe some of the bad reviews on here, it's ridiculous, I honestly can't fault Choices at all. Foods always been perfect and it's the best priced in the Jaywick/Clacton/Holland area. You get alot more for your money then other takeaways.

The food here is always excellent. Service is great as well. Highly recommend

I am from seawick Caravan now and again and I always order from Choices, their service is very good, they are always on time and the food is always good. Never been cold since I have ordered. The service is MUCH better then other kebab shops I have tried in Clacton on sea and would HIGHLY Recommend their service and have ordered many times to give this review. 5***** from me!

Shabby on the outside, food OK, but handy right next-door to the pub!

We had a seafood and a Mexican not pizza delivered to the caravan park we stayed, direct to the door. Pizzas were very good. Base was thick, but not heavy. The toppings were very generous and well worth th money.We ordered again the next day. Cod and chips was perfect, my Mrs said her chicken burger was delicious. Great service, we will use again when we come back to clacton.

Didnt even want to rate this one star, honestly worst place ive ever ordered from! We were a family on holiday 5mons away so not far to deliver and we spent £36 on boxes of slop! My daughter had chicken and chips...the chips slapped on top of the chicken, and sauce poured all over the top, not what i asked for, by the time it got to us the box was so soggy the chips were all stuck together ,then the bottom of the box fell through leaving sloppy food everywhere. Pizza looked burnt but was stone cold, meat was so dry we could barely swallow it. Honestly the most shocking food ive ever seen and a total waste of £36 leaving a family of 6 not even hungry as the look of it made us feel sick! Ive seen some good reviews so perhaps eating in isnt so bad? But for delivery avoid at all costs!! Will never use this place again

Food was half an hour late, forgot things from the order and had to wait another half an hour for them to turn up! Chips were lukewarm and several were completely raw, not even slightly cooked. Chicken nuggets were old n bland. Usually such a good takeaway but not ordering from there again for sure!

No me sentí hambre sorpresa después, así que pensé munch una porción de patatas fritas en la playa.No me hagáis mucho caso ya que estaban siendo envuelto, así que me sorprendió y decepcionado por lo que había sido atendida. Obviamente recalentados en utilizado aceite de cocina, pasada y "mantecadas". sabor De color marrón oscuro, no grasienta y olor. golden Eran baratos, así que no nos molestamos en tomar a ellos de nuevo. Nunca volveré de nuevo a cualquier hora del día pero si decides probar siéntase como, no vayas "fuera de horas". Mi visita fue un lunes a las 4 de la mañana!

Being a kebab lover I have tried every kebab house in Clacton and found some very good but let down by frozen chips. Choices use real potatos and kebabs are top notch.

They sell Rum Baba's, what more needs to be said ? Love it !
