Kfc in South Derbyshire

Ordered food through the drive through and the employee rushes myself and had to tell them to wait whilst we was still thinking on what we was having. Once we got the order and got home found they had made numerous mistakes and when we phoned them was talking g to them then they just hung up and tried numerous time calling g them back they just couldn't be bothered to pick up. I would certainly not go back there again also would advise other people to give this place a miss

Worst kfc ever eaten No chicken except thighs and legs. Chips not cooked properly! Bought it for me and mum and we both threw it in the bin and orderrd from from somewhere else! It’s the 3rd time it had no chicken! We was both discussed!

The chicken was dry and the coating tasted like it had been reheated! The fries didn’t taste very good either! Definitely won’t ever eat there again. Two very disappointed grandchildren !

We were in the area for a family funeral the next day - wanted food and everywhere else had finished serving. We had had a long drive and wanted something quick & easy. It was just after 9pm and KFC was not due to close until 10pm. The dirty look when we dared move a chair told us not to sit down - the manager had to check he had enough to create 2 boneless banquet meals before we could order. After a couple of minutes he said it was fine. When we sat out in the car to eat it, the chiken fillets were cold, so where they had found them from I don't know. The fries luke warm and the popcorn chicken bland & not hot but I made do with the fries & popcorn. My husband's chiken was slightly warmer & he risked eating his, but I wouldn't take the chance as I did wonder if it had been rescued from the rubbish considering the 'checks' being done. It certainly was not fresh. Very disappointing attitude, not welcoming at all after we were told he wasn't cooking any more as it was too close to closing. Certainly won't be visiting again!!

I was really struggling to understand the serving staff, it was embarrassing and I should have run at that point... This is obviously a franchised KFC with a terrible insight of KFC restaurants and how they should be managed and staffed. You really need to get someone at the front of house that can speak fluent English. The food, all of it was bad, really bad. So cold as well. I drove from the A50 Toyota junction back to Mackworth, about 4 miles non-stop. The food was so cold, it had to have been served cold from the bagging up. Everything about the food was bad, £26 straight down the drain. Terrible, stay away please, this owner doesn't deserve to trade under the KFC flag. If you're a regional manager or indeed a chief executive reading this, do something soon as this sh!* hole is'nt doing you any favours whatsoever! I've run a business for the last 30 years so I do know what I am talking about!!!

We placed our order via the computer screens which worked very well and waited in anticipation the receipt didn’t come through the machine so I took a picture of the number then as we waited the service was quite quick but the girl behind the counter slammed the large paper bag down and said two children’s meals we haven’t got any ice cream and we haven’t got any pineapple slices and that was that no apologies nothing no different exchanges no replacements of anything so I asked her what can we have instead and she looked at me like I was talking another language she then said we can get you another meal and I said okay we’ll have a chicken meal please and she said oh no not a meal you can have one piece of chicken so I then went on to say we are missing two ice creams and two pineapple slices so therefore I’d like the equivalent priced food back in the bag please she said one piece of chicken I said no that’s £2.09 for a piece of chicken let’s add up how much it is for two ice creams and two pineapples I know that the pineapples are part of meal deal so said well they can be 50p each so that’s a pound and ice creams are £1.50 each so that you know around £4 that we should have as a substitute no she said one piece of chicken I said no you owe us about £4 worth of goods and you have not given us them therefore I expect you to meet your sales on what you’re supposed to be giving so she said okay one piece of chicken I said no two pieces of chicken please she reluctantly eventually gave me two pieces of chicken as I walked down the road I realised that she’d also forgotten to give me the meal deal drinks so I had to go back again and advise the lovely manager that was actually there that he might need to do some more staff training to improve his customer service he said without apologising we are shortstaffed tonight I said well they are no use anyway the ones that you’ve got wouldn’t go back.

Left standing at counter by girl on her own for 15 minutes then some other guy comes along she starts serving him, so I have to shout to get served. Tried ordering new deal £6.49 wrap meal she gets that wrong so I have to tell her what to put in it. No salt. I asked for pepsi but went it comes to serving she says run out so take a tango only thing on tap. Tables filthy dirty uncleaned. Worst kfc I ever used and I have used many all over England.

We came to the drive thru and was served relatively fast and this is where the good service ends! After ordering we were told they didn’t have certain items so could we swap or go without? After paying over £35 for our meals we left and took the food home. We were missing certain items in fact half of the meal we had paid for. After a phone conversation to the outlet itself, we were made out to be liars and honest people by the team. We complained to their head office in which we received an email back days later instead of the telephone call we asked for. This place needs looking at ASAP!!

Well, it seems like (having just read the last few reviews of this restaurant) I’m just about to add another shocking review of this eatery (I use that term sparingly, I assure you!) having spent £32.95 trying to satisfy the hungry rumblings of a family of 4 (2 grown ups and 2 x 8 year olds).. We used the drive through as we were returning from a gig (we were performing) and moving onto a rehearsal. Time was tight but to appease the kids, a KFC was promised. Oh Lordy.. what a mistake. We ordered a large family bucket (10 pieces) and some extra chips and popcorn chicken for the kids. Firstly, the prices are extortionate and the portions paltry.. particularly the chips. The chips here 10 in a bag.. if I didn’t know better I’d say they were counted into the bags.. lazy ‘skin on’ soggy, cardboard-like slices of fried (probably much earlier in the day) potato that were totally unseasoned. Which brings me onto the chicken.. a supposed ‘selection’ of chicken pieces which used to mean breast, leg, thigh etc… in delicious original recipe coating.. I’m convinced this was none of those things.. We discovered 10 pieces of chewy, old pieces of chicken with barely any meat on the carcass.. and they were all the same cut.. you know the bit of indeterminate chicken that you look at in the box with puzzlement and try and work out whereabouts on the chicken it might have started life.. yep, 10 pieces of that. Then the seasoning… this was NOT original recipe! It was tasteless, no salt, no pepper in it.. it was as bland as a covid buffet.. and greasy, oh my Lord, dripping in fat.. it was awful. Had it not been that we were on the hop in d have been back like a shot! KFC, a few years ago you were close to bankruptcy. If you’re going to survive you’re going to have to do better than this starting with those chips! Fill people up with the cheap stuff and make them delicious.. LIKE MCDONALDS.. and sort out that coating on the chicken! I will never take my children to KFC again without reading reviews to see if it’s improved. My Lord it really needs to.

so went into the store as i was missing items, asked a young girl for the manager young girl goes into the back to get the manager comes back to me and said there’s no manager in the store what a shocker then all i was hearing is 2 team members arguing with a young boy this is unacceptable. and completey out of order this store needs sorting out big time. feel sorry for the young boy.

Waited 30mins for takeaway order, got given a eat in order. upon requesting it to be put in a takeaway bag, the staff proceeded to take 10 minutes to transfer 2 meals into a bag. this is because they took it all out the original boxes, and stuffed the 2 meals into one big box. They had also given me the wrong burger, and went i went back to change it, the staff looked at me blankly and could not understand why i wanted the food i actually ordered. Avoid at all costs, there is a subway and a greene king pub in the same car park, so don't waste your time in this kfc

Went here the place was deserted this a ghost services always empty the KFC popcorn chicken was not fresh and probably microwaved I was sick that evening I don't blame the staff I blame kfc I've never been on the toilet as much that evening never again

Went to the drive through waited for a response for a few mins thinking they were busy ,and nothing , so I drove to the window. They could clearly see that I was waiting so I tried to summon someone a few times until a young woman came up and said “we are closed , the drive through is closed”. I said “what time do you close ? “she shrugged and said “about 8pm” . I had asked “well can I walk in the restaurant and order then ?” She said “no we are closed “ as I drove past I could see there were people ordering at the till ,feeling a bit miffed I parked up went in asked for the manager , he was apologetic and I told him he didn’t need to apologise it was the young woman who lied to me that should apologise, so he called her over and I asked her why she lied , she felt the need to lie some more and fabricate the fact . At this point I just couldn’t be bothered as i was wasting my breath and told her what the manager should be telling her. KFC should be training the staff with better customer services, it is just pure rudeness and wrong to be deceitful to the customer, i mean seriously, I am a mother who had kids in the car and have taught them never to lie and be deceitful to then be displayed with that …Dam right I was going to make a point , thinking about it I should have deserved a free meal or a drink at least but nothing just a lie what a disappointment these youngsters require more guidance and companies like KFC should be giving it . What is this world coming to . If you want to be lied to then This KFC is the place to be . 👍🏽

Literally the worst KFC we've ever been to. Rude staff, huge que of people waiting for the food they've order, lots of wrong orders, poor quality food. Waiting 30 minute for chicken??■□●!

Came here this evening. The only thing that was hot was the chips, my meat was cold.. . I've had major trouble finding a kfc where people can actually be bothered to work. They just don't care. One time I came here and I waited...

The restaurant itself was empty of diners but there was a short queue of people waiting to order and another of those waiting for their food. We all chose what we wanted and a few minutes later we were eating in one of our rooms....

Pleasant enough staff although there was a woman pestering people in the queue to use their phones and the staff did nothing to remove her. Eventually other customers called the police as the staff didn’t want to get involved. The food was as it should...

Called in for coffees, Fast and friendly service. Area very clean and all tables cleared. Good value and coffee excellent as expected. Only negative which is nothing to do with KFC are the toilets, They are very dirty and stink. If the issue isn't sorted...

Got home with my takeaway bag and half of my order was missing . Terrible customer service also. Very miserable

Got here tired on a long drive. Asked for two meals, chicken strips and a wrap. server wanted to put it into one box instead of two. I said I was eating out so it would be better two, she couldn't accept that I didn't want any dips so I eventually said ol to two I didn't want or need and a bit confused and tired, accepted both meals thrown together in one box. Eating in the car needed a bit of faffing about splitting it up again. Food was ok, but all this was just a bit odd.

Called in for coffees as it is really the only place to stop on the A50 between Stoke and Derby. Very nice clean service station. One good thing about KFC unlike BK and McDs is that their prices seem to be same as the High St and not inflated because it is a service station. Staff very friendly and helpful and the dinign area was very clean and tidy,

Popped in yesterday as i had an hour to spare, and was passing, intending to have a quick bite to eat, a coffee and read my book. Ordered a 3 piece variety meal with a large Decaff coffee. Was told they don't do decaff, also was told they don't do large either, so had a regular caffeinated coffee as that was my only option.

This KFC always struggles to get orders right, to serve people and even speak half the time. Never have problems anywhere else but this KFC they seem to struggle with everything.

Quite surprised to read so many poor reviews of the KFC at the Services, since these are not a reflection of our experience at all.

No queue on a Saturday lunchtime but the guy serving spoke so fast it was like he was desperate to finish service and go for a comfort break. No bacon so we weren't allowed to order Big Daddy box meal (even without bacon). The menu above the counter annoyingly rotates to an advert when you're trying to make a menu choice. There were only yoghurts available for the kids meals and the only eating utensil was a spork which is unsuitable and incompatible with juvenile tongues. Three plates were provided for four meals and two diners had to share a lemon scented wet wipe as there were only three provided. Southern bites were also provided but out of three provided in the portion all the BBQ sauce had been intercepted by a single "bite" (see picture). At least we were lucky enough to have drinks without added detergent unlike the customer before us. Poor show all round. Will only come back if there really are no viable options. Which is unlikely.

Love kfc but service is always slow!! This particular HOT day no ice cream😩😩ridiculous... its not the first time kfc have let is down!!

This services was bit old fashioned and quite, but the KFC did the job. we were heading back home to Newcastle from Alton towers, it was a long journey and the food did the job, gave us the fuel to get home, even if we didn't get home until nearly 1 am!

Overcooked and cold chicken, cold chips and not very many of them I wont be going back to this KFC at all in the future. Sorry Colonel !

Called here at 7.28 pm on Saturday 3rd Feb for a take away to feed four hungry children was told by a very pleasant young girl after some confusion with chef that we would have to wait 20 minutes for chicken to be cooked there was no chicken ready at all so went to McDonald's and was served in 3 minutes . Will not be calling again

We were disappointed with our KFC order in Cassville MO. on 10/13/17 order#347938. We were camping in the Roaring River Camp Ground and went into Cassville and placed an order for $21.72. When we returned to the campground to eat our KFC meal much to our dismay the chicken tasted horrible "greasy" possibly over cooked. I called the manager at 417-847-5569 to complain. Manager said that KFC was going out of business in Cassville and cooperate wouldn't buy any new grease. Manager said she was using old grease until they went out of business. Manager didn't offer us a refund and I wanted to convey how disappointed I am with the KFC brand. We are not complainers and have eaten at KFC's across the country. We spent our money on a KFC meal that day and we are very unhappy with the quality of our order. We fed our order to the Raccoons that night and critters had no complaints!!! I couldn't understand the staff very well, communication poor. Chicken was so dried up we couldn't eat it, waste of £12, plus one piece tasted a bit weird, hope we're not ill but we didn't eat more than a bite. Maybe choose to go at busy times so you know food hasn't been drying out for hours.

They took the order wrong at drive thru, when I questioned the staff member on why it was more expensive then on the board all I got was a shrug of the shoulders and a "dunno I am new". Food quality is sub par to more established outlets!

At 11.30 today I visited the drive thru costumer service great and quick. Only problem was when I got my variety bucket home to the family was missing 8chicken wings. The family was gutted and myself, tried to call but no answer. Won't visit again as last time was a nightmare.

Burgers/chicken lovely hot and fresh. Fries were cold- better than the one near showcase Derby! Staff were great. Would go again but I'd check the fries!!!

Been 3 times in the last 3 weeks and on each occasion they have been cash-only. Now one of 2 things is happening here:

No problems, quick ordering and service and on my way, all fast and hot food delivered, been before and will call again

We stayed near buy so we have decided to have a quick dinner there. When we went in there was an Asian woman at the counter which she was not quite happy to serve us. After we ordered and waited for 20 minutes, Our food came and we had things missing, plus adding up the pieces looked like they have been cooked and reheated

Not sure what it is with this place- they seem to be able to make some of their Chicken slimy every time we go. Worst KFC around.

I ordered a toasted twister meal and recieved a ZINGER TWISTER!! It even got put through on the screen as a normal one. I hate spicey food but I'm just glad I don't have any allergies towards it. The chips are always cold and hard plus our corn wasn't even buttered

Every time I visit here (& mainly it's the drive through) we always get bad food & I only return to it because my children like it & there's no other option (McDonalds/Burger King) to choose from & it's the closest services to my destination & I'm usually in a hurry to sit & eat in.

The state of this restaurant was disgusting!!! All the tables were covered in remnants of food as well as one being covered in some black spillage. If this is the standard of hygiene in the customer area God knows what the kitchen is like!! Never visiting again!!

Went and ordered take out bargain bucket. Got home and their was all one type.(leg) phoned up apologize offered and swapped all the food redone all the order again no hassle .

Stopped at the services for a lunch break and decided on the KFC. The staff member who served us was very pleasant and we had the take five offer. We didn't wait long and food was really good which surprised us at a service area. There were plenty of tables and it was very clean. One of the best KFC's we have been to.

Standard KFC, service is prompt and friendly, clean. Shame about the standard fast-food. Awful chips

Popped into KFC Willington for a quick chicken burger (as you do ) , first thing I noticed

We visited at tea time last week and were greeted in the dining area to several tables requiring a good clean.

We were told the wait would be 12 minutes, which is already bad in itself,We waited around 25 minutes for our food, it's meant to be a FAST food restaurant!! Not only this but when our food finally came, the order was wrong and we hadn't got our drinks, it was tipping it down with rain and the queue to go back through the drive through was massive so we decided to leave it. The chicken was disgusting, chips were cold and the gravy pot was about a fifth full!! There was no apology for the wait on our food! Won't be eating at kfc again.
