Domino's Pizza in South Derbyshire

It’s not often i use this Domino’s, but EVERY time i do theres a problem. When placing an order the waiting time is 12 - 14 minutes but when turning up for collection after 20 minutes, they haven’t even started it, thus ending up being a wait of 35 minutes+. Then they always say they have ran out of a side. Well thats great but why let me order it in the first places then. Obtaining a refund seems really difficult for them. You don’t normally mind overpaying so much for a bang average pizza as long as the service is good, but here it is shocking. I will definitely not be returning

Ordered a takeaway half turned up incorrect. After calling they apologised said they would send the correct order and some cookies so I thought oh great that's nice and they didn't send cookies .. probably just say it to get you off the phone. Not ideal as kids were having it as a treat and then didn't get to eat together... also promising free cookies to not deliver 2/10 won't order again ...

We ordered over £50 worth Saturday at 16.40pm for 17.15-17.30 delivery,as we had family up from 50 miles away, that was the discounted price of 3 large pizzas and the garlic breads,(not discounted) delivered early and cold absolutely disgusted especially if I had paid the full price!.Not bother again it was my suggestion not to cook them ourselves but wished I had of done now…its not as if it was cheap even discounted but cold food when we are less than 4 minutes drive..clearly drive all round with them in the delivery and dropped ours last. Shocking.

Overpriced Pizza 🍕 😋 need I say more

This was a very poor pizza, the side order - nachos, were burnt. Always sceptical about Dominoes but the food this evening has confirmed that if you want a good pizza, don't get it from Dominoes!

Inedible undercooked pizzas!!! We have just ordered two pepperoni pizzas. At first glance they look okay but after taking a slice, the pizza separates in two, leave a Undercooked dough base. I understand it's Saturday night and is busy but you guys have rushed the basic cooking process and have made these Inedible. The price people have to pay and you can't even cook a pizza right. This is the second time we have had poor quality food from this shop and it'll be the last! If you guys can't even cook a pizza right then what's the point. Get your act together and stop rushing people food. If anyone has read this, then save your money and go elsewhere.

It's good food but when you order something and pay for it you expect to get it, for some reason though this place seems to do as it pleases and takes your money anyway. Tried ringing to ask what's gone wrong and the phone hangs up like they know they messed up but don't want to acknowledge it, so good food and very bad service will not be going here again!

What is wrong with your staff? I was just waiting outside and your silly little driver was shaking his head at me because I was parked outside, waiting for my pizza to cook. Have they got a bad attitude or are they always bad mannered? I’ll order from Burton next time. Train your staff to be professional. They were driving a small silver hatchback, it was all banged up on the door, probably because of the poor driving skills.

As I write this from the toilet, I’d avoid this place like the plague. Who do you use to cut your pizzas Stevie Wonder? No care at all. The second pizza had a big dirty black hair waiting for me on it. BIG mistake ordering from here, if you want a bad belly and a dirty toilet then I’d recommend it.

Ordered from here multiple times, have never got a correct order. Always something missing or pizza toppings incomplete. Vegetarian pizza with chicken on it more than once. Ordered additional sauces which aren't delivered, told by delivery driver they would bring the missing sauces and then heard nothing from them. Literally taking my money off me and not getting what I paid for. Stressed my dog out for poor quality food. Have now given up ordering from here.

Lacking the toppings we normally get and turned up late and luke warm expect better next time.

Hadn't ordered from a Domino's for a long time, but fancied pizza so ordered 2 large pizzas and some chicken wings. Arrived exactly on time, was hot, the pizzas were exactly as described and very tasty. The toppings were good as was the bread. I don't see how pizza could be any better, well done to the staff at this Domino's.

Ordered a pizza with double onions and they Can't even manage to put a normal portion of onions

Well. Dissatisfied is a kind way to put it. When your spending over £40 on pizza and sides you expect the quality to be well 'quality'.. the pizzas were nice done get me wrong but the sides were awful, undercooked chicken and wedges & the new nachos were just a cheap rip off, there was no sauce, no cheese. I don't know what I really paid for! I could of made better at home. Got here fast and hot though so that's a bonus right 👍👍

Pizza was cold and undercooked. Upon complaining, the Eastern European member of staff started arguing on the phone, saying that there is no way the pizza can be cold and accusing me of being a liar.

Absolutely vile we ordered at 10:45pm the order was accepted and payed it was delivered at 11:05 after close the pizza had obviously been undercooked in a rush for staff to get home the whole pizza was soggy will not be using Swad domino’s again appalling service

Appalling on delivery time we were told 5 mims at least 30 mins ago. Spoilt our valentines meal. And still waiting....Food was cold . Fit for the bin. A refund would be appreciated appreciated

Ordered through just eat and had the order confirmed, told it was out for delivery and waited for 20 minutes past the time until we called and were told the order hasn't been made leaving 5 of us without food at work and wasted our breaks, terrible service.

Ordered on line a Mighty meaty pizza, loaded wedges with cheese and chicken strips had to wait an hour and a half after chasing up the order! Finally received the order and the wedges were missing and we had a large pot of garlic sauce instead When we rang them back we were was told the wedges was not on the order we told them we had ordered them and paid for them! We couldn’t be bothered to argue the case so have paid for wedges we did not receive! Plus when we went to eat the pizza it was the wrong one! This will be the first and last time I place an order with them!

Standing watching after ordering in store and staff coughing into their hands and preparing food straight away. No females with hair nets and playing with food. I will certainly not be coming back to this outlet again.

I was with my friend's to order pizza. We have to wait couples min for someone from stuff. After no one let to us know order was ready.

Way too overpriced! Pizzas are near enough raw ! They no longer accept cash payment either which is ridiculous! There are definitely better options in Swadlincote for pizzas

All pizzas wrong 2 with the wrong crusts and 1 without something we wanted extra on called the shop person in the background screaming shouting clattering about. Boy on the phone said I’m sorry about that and that’s as far as it went. For 3 pizzas £38 won’t bother again and we were regulars

We ordered 1 pepperoni pizza and 1 gluten free margarita. We drove to collect at the time they gave us . My mum went in and was told that thr pizzas (both) were in the oven . After waiting 30 minutes another employee told mum that not only was the gluten free pizza not in the oven , but they didn't have any gluten free dough! They still offered to give the other pizza and a refund but mum refused . She told them it wasn't fair if her and my brother got a pizza but I couldn't ( i have celiac ) . From where I was sitting in the car I saw most of the staff loitering outside , swearing , making a lot of noise and spotting on the floor close to cars . Please dont order from here

The pizza got much worse than it was pre-Covid. All the meat from the pizza called 'meat feast' would fit on a standard sandwich. Really sorry as the place is good with plenty of parking.

I went to Swadlincote shop walked in the lady asked if ordered before coming into to shop I said no after that I waited 8 minutes after she asked me then I walked out

This is the third time in a row I've been disappointed. I got a text to say it was ready to pick up, only to be told it was in the oven. 25 minutes later I was told they were waiting on the final one, the first one had been sitting there 20 minutes. I complained as last time they'd sent out one of the pizzas with a driver and we had to wait another 15 minutes (this was the 2nd time that this had happened). I was offered ice cream and a drink to apologise. By the time I got home the 1st pizza was stone cold and they'd given me two of the same pizza which was covered in mushrooms (which I'm allergic to) so had to throw it away. I won't be using Swadlincote Dominos again, I'll go to Coalville instead. Totally useless.

Went to collect and was given a link to add my car details and tell them when I was there. Had to sit in the carpark (in front of the shop) for some 30 minutes with my hazards on (felt a bit of a wally!). Eventually realised noone was coming out, so went in. The person at the till turned on their heel when I went to speak and walked away. came back after a few minutes and blanked me again. Some else eventually came to see what I needed - they went to look for my order, which was actually one I had seen there some 20 minutes before from outside! Can't decide which was worse, being told to wait outside when I could have easily gone in when I arrived, or being blanked twice.

Pizza was soaked in grease so much so crust was mushy. Nobody at the shop cared. 3 people including the store manager said it's normal. "maybe the bacon supplier changed" 😂😂 joke.

Twice now I have been to collect and both times I have had to wait for my pizza because they didn't even make it. First occasion 1 hour and 20 minutes from when I ordered and the second time was an hour.

Ordered here tonight for a delivery for 6 o’clock, that time come and gone so I rang up to ask where my order was to be spoken to like a child saying they only have 2 delivery driver and asking me to bear with them, eventually the food turned up at 6.45 with no apology whatsoever. To make matters worse the food was full of grease and cold. Really disappointed and won’t be returning to this joke of a business. Il be ringing the head office to make a formal complaint as it’s far from ‘cheap’. Save your money and use diapizzeria it’s a far better experience!!

Unfortunately it's a new franchise and they have cut back big time, 8 small pieces of chicken on a large pizza, pizza was very dry as barely any cheese and not much sauce. Really sad as we used to love our dominos.

Mate ordered pizza, wedges and chicken strips last night and pizza's were awful, very thin and not cut and the wedges were not cooked properly. I usually use the Leicester Narborough road one and they are miles better. Hopefully it was a one off but I wont be ordering again.

I love domino's I really do. BUT I don't think I will ever order from this particular branch again. The pizza was OK but the toppings were just thrown on and clumped together not spread out! I little problem but still annoying. The pizza was not cut anywhere near equal, again not the end of the world but annoying. The main reason I will not be ordering anything from here is that both lots of sides were very under cooked. The wedges were still hard and the chicken strips were not cooked anywhere near enough to give to the kids so we ended up having to cook them at home just to be sure they were safe.

Wrong pizza arrived, called and was told the correct one would be remade. 35 minutes later I called to check, and was told nothing had been sorted. 30 minutes later finally got the correct pizza. All in, 2 hours 4 minutes for the correct pizza. Unbelievable!

Do what they do well! Would've been 5 stars but they gave me the wrong crust.

Won't deliver to us even though we're only a few mins away and have previously delivered to us. Apparently they don't deliver to my postcode - I'm in Newhall, less than a mile and a half away. Rude staff, won't explain why they won't deliver, just repeatedly talking over me saying they won't but will still get their guys to drop off leaflets through my door! Won't be bothering with them again, ever.

Just leaving this review to combat the self righteous attitudes of some other people's reviews. Mistakes happen... get over it, it's not the end of the world. It's whether they fix them that counts.. Ordered locally regularly for a year now. Only once was the pizza disappointing and they sent another out straight away. My go to is the Italian base and the last 3 times I've got it it has been absolutely perfect. The guys in the kitchen make a great pizza. Toppings aren't over the top and equally they aren't minimal. It's just how you'd want it... Closest I can get to a proper Italian pizza in the local area. Delivery drivers also lovely people. Cheers guys x

Used to order from here regularly just fine for years, but now the store can't even be bothered to deliver 9 mins away. Calling up the store to ask why I just got told "don't you have a car?". Will be taking my orders elsewhere, clearly the local villages aren't worth their time.

No longer doing 2 for tuesday by phone and only on line but happy to take any other order by phone. Seem to be cashing in on peoples isolation. Thought we would have a treat but disappointed. Food came 15 mins too early so had to keep it warm for when my husband got home. Pizza barely warm on delivery. Girl on phone not very helpful and appeared to have little time or patience. Wont be in a hurry to use again.

Struggle during lock down to get a reliable delivery of anything, but Dominoes keeping the flag flying. Delivered promptly, always red hot, and expected standard always met. Well done guys..

Great pizza but very concerned the pizza was handed to my daughter at the door by A young female delivery person . No distance was kept at all . Very worrying . Please please drill the 2 meter rule into your staff . Save lives for goodness sake !!!

For the past 3 times we have used this Domino's they seem to get to the sauce part on the list and get completely bewildered by what 'sauce' means. Once it was the Catalan chicken... they didn't add sauce, second was chicken with burger sauce but they didn't add it. Again ordered the same with sauce, you guessed it... no sauce. This time I had enough and called for a new one to which I said 'I'm absolutely starving, my partner is eating hers I'm going to have a couple of slices of this wrong order so I don't starve until the new one arrives' the manager says 'no you eat slice you no get new pizza'. So I had to wait 15 minutes more whilst my partner was chomping on hers and I was starving for my damn sauce on pizza! I'm using prezzo from now on, theirs taste way better anyway.

Pizzas are superb... nearly all of the time. Delivery was always fast and pizzas steaming hot. Only giving four stars now as they've stopped delivering to our area!

There is a lad there Daniel Barzo he delivered our pizza and was rude. He knocked loudly and had red eyes. Not sure what he was on but he dropped our pizza on the floor and had to go back to replace it. wouldn't recommend no apologies from him.

I arrived to collect my pizza the employees were busy on their phones laughing talking to each other after few minutes i said excuse me which young girl replied nastily wait another guy entered shop she was high to serve him first I stood there in shock I said I was here first I finally got my pizza after 8 minutes they handed me pizza said here very angrily not going there ever

Driver delivers food and tells me "next time you order from us, dont bother ordering from our store coz you're too far away for delivery" an error on the app that ended up being my fault somehow... 1 customer lost

After choosing dominos as our chosen takeaway meal for my sisters birthday we all feeling very let down. Takeaway arrived in good time, as we take everything out of the bags/ boxes we realise there is chicken missing for the children. We call up to be told to wait 3 times on hold and the phone to go dead, finally get through and the girl on the end of the phone to say it will be 25 to 35 mins and put the phone down with no apology or anything. I’m sorry this is just not good enough, I wasn’t expecting the world but come on please an apology and a bit of decency wouldn’t go amiss with a paying customer I’m sorry we won’t bother again. For the record food was hot and nice but that was overshadowed by the service

I suppose when there is an offer on, the price is okay (not good or competitive though). The biggest issue is that the customer service is either non existent or shocking, and beyond that the pizza arrives to you lukewarm and I'm pretty sure the majority of pizzas will spend barely 10 minutes in any sort of oven. Do your stomach a favour and go look at the local pizza chains, they're all better than this.

Love a pizza from here but it can be hit and miss, if they found some consistency they would deserve 5 stars. Always some great offers on, never pay full price, always Google a discount code before ordering. Delivery people always friendly and well turned out. Would recommend in future, but guys, get that consistency.

Very expensive but dominos is known for this. Staff Are very unhelpful. So many good local pizza shops I wouldn’t even bother.

Order incorrect again. Tried to get me to have a free pizza next time as compensation. Said I would wait for my correct order as did not want what they sent. Told me an hour and a half wait. I said I would wait. Pizza turned up an hour later which I thought was a bonus ( which really wasn’t) was incorrect again and was stone cold. Absolutely shambolic.

We order from here usually 1-2 times a week... (healthy i know) lol... the last couple of months tho we’ve had missing or wrong items nearly every order and the waiting time gets longer and longer... the customer service is whats really bad though... £140 order for a poker night last night and we were missing items again... called up and was told “we’re busy, that’s why and there’s not much we can do about it”. No hint of fixing the problem, vouchers for inconvenience or even a goddamn sorry! Little prick needs a slap but oh well, plenty more takeaways... dont use this one tho as the place is a dive

Overpriced rubish . When you spend 60 you expect a nice meal to feed the family instead you get pizzas that a 3 year old could make better and over done chicken . Never again

Waited over an hour for the wrong order to arrive. They apologized and sent another after 45 minutes which was wrong again. Was told to claim free pizza next time I visit the store by using the managers name as my reference!! Felt rather awkward trying to convince the staff I should be given a free pizza as ? Told me I could have one. Every experience is getting worse here

3 times my order has been wrong now. When you phone up and let them know it takes ages for the replacement to come

Very unimpressed, very rude service, pizzas were delivered cold, asked to resend and they were delivered cold a second time. Refused to send a hot pizza and called me a liar multiple times. Shame they don't have a no stars option rating.

Over the last six months this place has gone massively down hill. Long waits for delivery, wrong pizzas turning up and no one seems to want to pick up the phone when you ring the store. Thought we'd collect tonight instead, got the pizza home and both were burnt to a near crisp. Don't think I'll bother ordering again. Will go to LA Pizzaria instead. Better service and half the price.

Little out the way and opposite McDonalds. Serves usual Domino's menu and delivery is often within 30mins. Collection is hot and miss though as can be very loud inside whilst waiting and with no real seating area.
