Kfc in Charnwood

After KFC increased their prices by around 30% recently i vowed to boycott them but today my daughter insisted we go. So we went and ordered 2 box meals, what a massive disappointment! The so called chicken burger was 90% batter, i genuinely struggled to find the chicken. (See pictures, please note that there isca hadh brown on top of the so called chicken burger which is taking up most of the room between the buns) The 1 piece of chicken which used to literally be half a chicken, juicy and filling was the same size as a Chinese chicken ball, dry as sawdust and full of bones. I honestly hope and prey that KFC close down soon as not only have the took the mick with their price increase but then they also rob you of the meal you are paying 30% more for and give you 90% less food !! Even my daughter said today that this was her last visit as the lack of chicken chicken in the burger was ridiculous . My Daughter is gonna get all her friends and colleagues fron University to boycott them too so really hoping they with close down eventually.

My idea was to call in to grab a quick bite to eat at around 4pm and I ordered a filet tower burger. Surprisingly it was served through the drive through quickly as you normally have to wait awhile and when I started to eat in the car park I found the chicken really dry like it had been made some time ago and left on a warmer. The hash brown was barely warm also. As I was in a rush I decided to leave it and drive off but in retrospect I should have walked into the shop and asked them to make a new fresh one. So it really comes down to the quality of the staff in these restaurants, some weeks ago I had the same burger in Nuneaton and it was very good and tasted really fresh. I personally will not be going back to this Birstall chain and would look elsewhere for a £6.50 burger.

Ordered from just eat. Items missing from order. Food was transported in paper bag not insulated bag so was cold on arrival ( I only live a short distance from restaurant).

staff were rude and was given a dirty look when asking for straws. went with my partner and my chicken was undercooked and hers has given her food poisoning. do not eat here.

Worst KFC I have ever been in. Shocking service, inedible food. Hygiene non existent quite frankly I will never step foot in there again. Worst experience I have ever had in a kfc

I should have read the reviews before ordering our KFC, it would seem nothing has improved at all, it’s obviously the people that work there didn’t do well in school either because they can’t seem to read a bloody order correctly, £36 for 3 meals which were cold hard fries & wrong meals, I hadn’t ordered from here in quite a while & it will be a long time again (IF EVER) save your money folks and go elsewhere!!!

There really isn’t a score low enough for this branch of KFC. I know we’ve all worked with people that really clearly don’t care at all about their work but when those people are in the food and drinks industry it’s particularly disappointing because you really have to question whether you are willing to even eat and drink what they provide you with. The staff are miserable in the extreme, rude at worst. They clearly don’t care at all about the customer experience or even standards of hygiene. Watching them throw the food around and listening to the sullen way they talk to customers, it’s a wonder they are still open. You’d like to think someone would read this and feel a sense of responsibility to improve the staff behaviour. Hope springs eternal…

My partner and I ordered a KFC takeaway for our family at the end of a busy day when we hadn’t got time to cook something before our 5th old daughter went to bed. We ordered through Uber Eats who delivered it… over half an hour late and stone cold! There was no way to contact Uber quickly to resolve the problem so we drove to the restaurant to ask for help to resolve the situation. At KFC the team leader couldn’t do enough to help. He explained that Uber had cancelled the order them reinstated it before collecting it late. He also called Uber using his own mobile and let us speak with them and we’re on hold for long periods. He offered us drinks whilst we waited for Uber to get back to us but they never did and so the team leader generously replaced our order with a fresh one at no cost to ourselves. Can’t speak highly enough of the guy, genuinely kind and respectful, complete opposite of Uber Eats.

After the brand opened up after lockdown they would only serve cars and motorbikes. So I rocked up last week on my motorbike and first no Comms from the order station. I waited, got nothing. Rode round to the window as was “greeted” with, “I can’t take your order at the window” when I explained I tried at the box I was met with “bikes don’t set it off. It’s only for cars. I can’t take your order”. Call me picky but if she’d have said, “would you like to come inside to place your order as this service is only for cars now” how much more likely would it be That I would consider spending money with this brand ever again? As it stands I’ll just say thanks for keeping one type of junk food off my list. Maybe I’ll lose a few pounds. Customer Service is not what you’ll get here. Reading other reviews only confirms that my experience wasn’t unlucky. It’s just a branch with really low standards.

just had to wait for two members of staff to have a fag break before they came back and put our orders together. over 15 minutes just 2 people ordering and waiting. should have stayed shut looking at the reviews

Part of the order for our meal was missing (sides) which was bad enough, but to make this visit worse, none of our food was hot. Soggy chips and lukewarm boneless chicken. It’s the first time we have been to KFC for a while and based on this experience I wouldn’t bother with this restaurant again. I can understand if the place was busy but it wasn’t, only 1 customer inside and 1 in the drive through. I wouldn’t risk missing food or food that has been cooked and stored for some time for £25. Take your money and go somewhere else for a meal that is complete and enjoyable.

Nothing worse then people leaving a the ‘ training lady behind the counter is offering out someone’s food for free ( he had just been eating it ..) worse service going can’t believe this women is representing your brand!!!

The service was quite quick this time. If you want to eat in the area is pleasant. The chicken wasn't bad but a bit too dry. They have changed the chips which used to be awful. Now they are less awful but still not worth eating. Should be a lot better overall.

Hi Food wasn’t warm, chicken was tough, chips looked like they’d been reheated 2 or 3 times. Only thing edible was the rice salad. We ended up leaving most of it and buying from another concession. Wouldn’t recommend.

Had a box meal, with corn. Chicken was good. Too much mayo on the burger for me. Coffee was excellent

Wouldn’t give 1 star as nothing was even average! Coffee half full chicken scrag ends dead manky fries and got the order wrong! Best to avoid this place as even a service station this place is well below standard and needs to close as not fit for purpose.

Probably wasnt wise visiting kfc at 9pm but this place was horrible! Only bought a wrap the chicken fillet was still solid half cooked and the wings were just as bad! Wont be visiting this place for a while, binned 80% of my meal!

If you want to stand in a very small, non moving queue for 5 minutes whilst the staff rush around to serve all the cars at the drive thru then this is the place to come .I gave up in the end & went elsewhere .

I have used this KFC on the A6/A46 services numerous times now and each time they have failed to impress. Every single time they have missed something from my order or haven’t given enough pieces of chicken etc. Used the services for a bathroom break yesterday, only to be joined by a member of KFC staff.. who promptly used the urinal and then walked back out again!! Didn’t even look at the sink where he could, who knows, possibly wash his hands?? Not sure about anyone else but that’s the final straw for me! Never to be visited again. Be warned people!!

Well, certainly no worse than any other KFC. 2 floors and quick service. In the centre of Leicester so very convenient.

Queued for 10 mins despite only 3 people in front of me. Then found out it was cash only!!! Placed my order of 2 zinger box meals with cobettes and orange juice. After 4 mins, 1 zinger burger came out and was put in the box on the side. Another 3 mins elapsed before the next one came. When I was given the bag I told the girl that one of the burgers had been sat on the side for over 3 mins, and was probably cold. She tried to tell me it hadn't been sat there but I just told her that either she gave me two hot burgers or I wanted my money back! Eventually I received a "hot" order. This review is based solely on service, and not the quality of the food.

Came here for lunch and only had 3 people in front of me in the queue but it still took 10 minutes to get served - then after ordering I was told that there was a 9 minute wait for chicken and was this alright? ( funny that they told me after paying) when the food was ready there was no customer service as another couple who were waiting told us our order was ready!

Needed a quick bite to eat whilst travelling up to East Midlands airport.
