KFC in Basildon

Ordered and food was never delivered. Becky who answered the phone couldn't have cared less and then started quoting legislation incorrectly - absolutely horrific customer service from Becky she should not be allowed to deal with the public

Didn't go to store but ordered from Uber and have consistently been the only restaurant I've had issues with so it can't be an Uber problem. In the last 8 months have probably ordered 6 times, 3 of which have gone past the latest delivery time, even as I write this our driver has cancelled and it's switched to a different one which has happened 4 of the last 6. If this is such an issue then the store should not have an arrangement with Uber. Only hope KFC even see this so I can speak to someone and show them screenshots of previous deliveries to show the appalling system in place.

Terrible food,all lettuce rotten and brown, chicken sub- standard , chips old and dry probably from yesterday or Wednesday!!!! Cold chicken bites, steer well clear of this branch of KFC as someone will end being poisoned if they haven't already!!! No Quality control and totally inadequate management actually no management .

£70 order for delivery - out of 14 pieces 9 were legs - come on just 'cos I'm not there to complain don't stitch me up on my birthday treat! All the fries were absent - 6 portions not received. What food I did get was good but I felt cheated on my birthday.

This kfc has only just had a refit which is fine. The problem lies was the fact no one cleans the tables. There was food all over the seats along with grease on the tables. The final straw for me was watching one of the delivery drivers spitting when exiting the restaurant which put me off eating. Don't think I'll be rushing back any time soon.

The staff not only keep you waiting for a long time, but they have a very poor attitude. Also, allergy compliance is very bad. Avoid this place like the plague if you want a decent meal. There are much better KFC restaurants around, but this one most definitely isn't it.

I hadn't had a Kentucky for years, so on a recent visit decided that was what I wanted. There was ]a little trepidation, but when we entered the place was spotlessly clean, staff helpful and polite, and knew the menu so could help us decide. The portion sizes have shrunk sadly, but that the same everywhere. The food could have been hotter, but the taste I remembered held true with the chicken I had and the hot wings and zinger burger were everything required for hubby. the only fly in the ointment were the rather awful raggedly looking chips. Why have you become too lazy to have the potato peeled!!!! Not only did they look awful, the skin made them chewy. This will not stop us visiting again but will be forgoing the nasty chip experience.

I wanted to change from having a drink to having extra fries and it was all accommodated without a fuss. The guy serving seemed as though he was being trained, but nothing was too much trouble. Friendly with great customer service skills. The food was piping hot, great quality and tasty. Top marks to the Basildon KFC, and I haven't always been able to say that about the place.

Ordered delivery by just eat, given request option, requested no wings out of a 6 piece meal given 3, phoned to complain, got a very ignorant response, not first time this has happened would never recommend or buy from again, this was supposed to be a bit of a treat for my husband who has just come home from hospital, paid £21.37 for a rubbish meal and insults !!!!!!!!

Went there today and the food made me sick the chips wasn’t cooked the chicken was awful Won’t be retuning there again

It took an eternity to get to the window to be served. 50 mins to be exact!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes many times i thought just pull out and drive in to a parking space and walk in. I will never go there again. Ridiculous

I rarely if ever review places like these but after the terrible experience we had here earlier in the week, I found it justified to do so. Our food was awful, my zinger burger meal was bland but the 2 pieces of chicken that came with it were extremely dry, almost like they had been sat for a while. The tiny bag of chips that accompanied were tasteless and i binned mine. The trend continued with the rest of my families food, in fact we binned most of the food purchased. KFC use to be a decent reliable fast food chain but in recent years has dipped in standard drastically. I would have given zero marks if possible. Terrible and so easily rectified with a bit of care and pride.........AWFUL. Visited 3rd November 2020.

one of the staff was so rude to me. I only wanted a chicken bargain bucket but she threw insults at me. never in my life have I been so disappointed. please fix this as like I said im very disappointed. she was so vile and rude towards me.

Rude unhelpful. Asked for mainly legs in our bargain bucket and they didn't even bother to put the request through. Ditto with the two people in front. Got 1 leg and was basically told to lump it. I've given up on kfc.

There were only three customers in there, but it still took them over 20 minutes to finish my order! They certainly weren't rushing either! This is certainly the worst KFC in Basildon. If you have the time, make your way to either Pitsea KFC (takes them less than five minutes, even when they're busy) or KFC Mayflower. Someone needs to train the staff up in KFC Laindon. They don't seem to care. They just keep plodding on at their normal slower than slow pace even though the orders are stacking up!

The Food in general was Very Poor. I was greatly surprised to find that the chicken heavily smelt of cigarettes and tasted horrible. We waited 20 Minutes after ordering from the drive thru, which is unacceptable. *WOULD NOT RECOMMEND*

I had the mighty bucket for one to then half hour later be greeted by the worst stomach pains and bad stomach I’ve had in years, I don’t know what it was but don’t ever have these problems at my local KFC (this is not my local)

I visited the kfc and yet again they are unable to put together complete orders I left arrived home to find that the two side I ordered were not in the bag as well and the extra popcorn chicken this stuff isn’t cheap these days so why can’t the staff just read the screen I even showed them the receipt to look at what the hell kfc shameful

First of all, as I went in I went to the toilet, which were disgusting, they need cleaning! Secondly after ordering my food and waiting nearly 10 minutes for some so called ‘fast food’ in that time I saw 2 or 3 employees roll their eyes at customers chuck food into bags/tray and then a feeble attempt to call out peoples order, I could barely hear and I was right in front of the counterI finally get my food and drive home, I eat my food... which is cooked just as much as it needs to be before it’s bad. The chicken is tough, just chucked in a bun.Worst KFC around!

At this branch as well as Corn on the cob yet this was only 22:00hrs on Saturday 4/5/19, the ONLY chicken we could have was Zinger chicken, we were informed if we didn't want that it would be a 20 minute wait! 20 minutes!? USELESS!

Men’s toilets smell badly and are very poorly cleaned which reflects badly on management and staff Surely the area manager can see this unless he sits there with his eyes firmly on his laptop

Was at this restaurant yesterday after a very busy day, ordered my food. The chips were cold and so was the corn which was timed at 5pm when I went in. I ordered my food at 5.04pm so how can the corn be cold? Why is it that when I order a bucket of chicken I get large pieces of chicken but when I want to have a original chicken order I get tiny pieces. Please contact me on 01268 470642 to explain this.

Dirty, loads of unsupervised kids, staff miserable, food OK so don't eat in! Takeaways probably OK if you must have KFC.

Took my daughter here as she really wanted KFC, wish I hadn’t bothered. Thought I would try the ordering machines as the staff always get the orders wrong. Tried to add a Pepsi with her meal but it only showed certain drinks, no fizzy drinks, gave up and went to counter. I Did say that the machine was useless. One of the staff said he had never used it before, seriously...

I ordered a 6 piece bargain bucket - actually got baked bean pot, gravy pot, 2 small fries, 6 pieces of reconstituted chicken, 2 bread rolls (one with chicken & one with a salad concoction. Also watch you get ANY change- had to ask for it.

My husband place our order.... waited and waited.. people after him came and went. He asked at counter only to be told his order hadn't gone through the system so had to wait again. Girl rushed around getting order together but then no chips ready so a further wait. Not our usual kfc... small chicken portions and no wipes, serviettes or salt put in bag. Awful and KFC Basildon we will not be visiting again...

Previously had a bad experience, but thought I would give them another chance. I should have driven further and gone to a different one.

I have eaten here a number of times and i do not know where they get the stafff from. This is the worst KFC, they never get your order right. I would advise checking it before you leave!!!!!

Just got back to Southend Airport and it was very late. Just needed to grab something quick to take home. Passed KFC which was still open so gave it a go.

Always always always forget something in your order without fail. Chicken is always soggy and greasy and are getting smaller.

Ordered a meal through the drive thru and there was a problem with Apple Pay. The phone says it has been paid, but the staff member said it hadn't gone through. He was really pleasant, but the assistant manager was a bit of a rottweiler, common as muck and aggressive. In the end, I had to pay again to get the food.

After queuing in the drive thru for almost an hour(!) without an apology(!!) We were finally served stone cold chips, inedible hard stale buns with cold chicken and flat Pepsi. Definitely won’t be visiting here again!

The queues!!!!!! One person serving, two doing food but spending most of their time talking. The queue was out the door and the drive through was in the street! Knew why the second we got near the front..... the cashier spent most of her time leaning with her head against the wall.... clearly disinterested. Clearly a good reason why so many people just got bored with the stupidness and left. The service here is always appalling but was extra special pants this time.

Cannot resist a KFC always good food, though check before you leave as I've had items that I ordered but were not in the bag when I got home which is a pain when someone has been left out.......

We've popped in a few times when passing for a quick bite for lunch, food was hot & served fast too

After waiting in line to be served. Then waiting again to get our order. Get home in a few minutes. My wrap had 1peace of chicken cut in half, only just warm. Sharing bucket of 6 pieces, 4 x chips all cold. Chicken bits pink under cooked. Some very fatty can't eat. Southern fried batter soggy. Won't be going back. Very expensive for poor food.

Foods nice no complaints tastes better than most

We visit this kfc once a week at lunchtime. The food is always hot, and somehow gets to you within minutes of paying. Tables are usually clean, seats nearly always. I'm quite fussy otherwise. Car park could do with some extra spaces at lunch time, and once or twice on a Friday the queue is to the door, but in general this is an excellant fast choice.

Chicken is so old it is getting its pension. Food cold & they get the orders wrong. Staff could not care less.

We use this place about 1 a month (yes I know it's quite bad!) Sometimes the queue is outrageous and you will be looking at half an hour however we have only have a couple of errors and seeing the amount of times we visit is pretty good going and have been easily rectified but the staff! Will continue to go here.

The chicken taste much better, smell fresh, succulent and tasty.

This was the 2nd of two visits this week. The first just for a drink and look at the menu on offer. Clean & tidy, and the staff served me with a smoke and answered my questions. You do get what the menu says and this was the first KDC for a long while and it still tastes very nice. With the great discount I was very happy with the final pruce of just over £40. Will probably go back soon.

The people that serve you are polite and very friendly and the food is great , dont you just love kfc

Ordered a fully loaded meal and colesaw as my side. No spoon given to me what was I supposed to it with? My fingers. Staff friendly, food hot and the place was clean and tidy.

The food is ok, the music is loud and crappy and drive through is soooooo slow. Mcdonalds is much better its a shame they dont do chicken.

Ordered a boneless banquet while driving home from work through the Drive Thru. Got up the road to eat it and one crucial thing missing. No speak to eat the beans. What do you expect to do - use my fingers? There wasn't even any napkins provided either so all in all pretty poor. Not only could I not eat part of the meal, but couldn't clean my fingers from the rest of it.
