Avoid this place absolutely filfy so clean tables and staff just stood about not doing anything has it wasn't busy. The toilets is another story pure filth this is the 3rd time now never again. Nearly broke my neck in the toilet floor wet through and no wet floor sign in one of them where the floor is worst. Please avoid.

Well to start of this heck of a ride,I walked in and it was total chaos , I ordered on a machine and didn't get a receipt, bair in mind there is only two orders on screen and still had to wait for forty-five minutes. The staff were just talking about anything they could think of. Tbh there was only one or two people who were actually working in the kitchen. And my grandaughter was getting very inpatient and looked as she was about to cry. The couple in front had their order wrong twice. The staff was no help at all. 45m later we couldn't be bothered to argue about our wrong order so just walked off and tried to eat as much of the meal as we could even though the chips were soggy. DO NOT GO TO KFC WAKEFIELD ROAD KFC!!!!

ordered from just eat to find out that parts of my order was missing and was freezing. Was told by just eat i would need to contact the restaurant to get this sorted as they are only responsible for the delivery. Contact KFC to have the phone hung up on me several time, disappointed at the customer service that KFC are giving people.

Very unprofessional experience, unprofessional disrespectful staff shouting obscenities on the front counter, manager doesn't want to know either. The customer service here is awful. Avoid this place at all costs.

Cold food although they said it was cooked fresh. This place is run by a load of young kids, who arnt bothered at all. Young lad in back eating chicken while cooking food !! Gravy was cold and tasteless. Rubbish

What’s the point of having an online ordering system, last two orders they can’t cook for toffee. Last time 6pm sorry sir it’s a 20 minute wait for food, this time 9pm sorry sir , no mash and it’s a 20 minute wait for chicken. So on both occasions they want me to wait 20 minutes on top of around 45 minutes of pre order. This is probably the worst KFC ever! Don’t bother with here.

The place is chaos , numerous delivery drivers from all the different companies hanging about amongst the dine in people , shouting down there phones oblivious tot he prescence of the diners . Very slow service , queues to the door . The staff do there best but are overwhelmed . NEED AT LEAST TO DOUBLE THE STAFF TO GIVE THE EXPECTED LEVEL OF SERVICE. Very poor to say the least

I paid for a boneless banquet my son is a very fussy eater and can’t stand any spice so he will only have this meal, we use KFC at least 4 times per month so I know how it should taste, the batter was very spicy you could see the pepper so it was way over seasoned, he would not eat it so a complete waste of money. The most embarrassing thing was we got all 3 drinks in small clear cup with a lid that was for a large cup. Cashier said I’m sorry but this is all we have we literally have no other cups so I said we am only getting half of a drink that I’ve paid for so give me 2 for each drink, she said they weren’t allowed and to add insult to injury the lids didn’t fit at all so when we got home my son and my car seat was covered in pop ! I am not one for complaining but a £19 pound bill for what I can only describe as shocking! I am so annoyed and I feel robbed ! Been other previous bad experience but this one tops it

Haven't been for years but I do like KFC normally. Absolutely awful, burnt dried food, no drinks no sauces and looks filthy all around the building. Won't be going again. This franchise is a disgrace to the KFC name

No fillets in trilogy boxes (we ordered 2), 3 sauces missing, and 1 side missing. They forgot to add a drink, but I noticed that in the shop and asked for it. To top it all, the food was cold after travelling 2 miles home! What a waste of £34!! I won't be going there again!.

Ordered from just eat for a delivery, we followed him on the map he went everywhere apart from us. It then just said delivered. Ridiculous service lost money and can't get in touch with them. Do not use!

3 of use at about 17.15. Worst ever, more tables not being used than usable. Only table available was dirty, someone left so we moved table. Original table had not been touched when we left. Air con made the place cold so we left early. Crushems machine broken, no hot drinks my usual 3 piece meal was the smallest I've ever had & overcooked. Place was scruffy & looked like no attempt had been made re Covid problems. Never again will we visit this branch. Did not receive a receipt!

Decided to get KFC as part of the eat out to help out scheme but the staff aren't even wiping the tables in between customers. Every table was dirty. Definitely didn't feel like the restaurant was a clean and safe place to eat.

My wife has just returned home after spending 56 pounds on kentucky for us all my family and grand children etc 9 of us it was totally disgusting it seemed to me as though it was a delivery sent out not wanted returned to store and just sold on it was near black and you could tell it was re done and warmed up the manager should be fired i tried ringing however the message receiver is full apparently PROBABLY ALL COMPLAINTS ITS TOTALLY DISGUSTING

I visited this store for a lunch and was absolutely disgusted. Rude staff, and especially one girl who claimed to be a manager (Ellie or something her name was) food all over the floor, had to wait ages before been served as the staff were busy talking. Cold food when it finally got served. Avoid at all costs. This place needs closing down.

I would give this take away minus stars if it was possible .. by far the worst KFC I have ever had. I ordered six pieces of chicken, no drumsticks please, four chicken mini filets and four portions of fries. When I arrived home and unpacked the food, four mini chicken fillets, TWO DRUMSTICKS three pieces of chicken and one small chicken wing all cold ..4 packets of cold soggy 'fries' .. I don't know who's idea it was to change to this horrible new method of cooking 'fries' ..... please change back .... If you want a KFC in Barnsley use the one on Wakefield Road opposite Trust Ford

Two visits in the space of a month, specifically for the new Vegan Burger. Both through the drive-thru and both shocking. First one we were waiting for an hour in only a 4 person queue, in the evening, with only two members of staff working and the dine in was shut. Food was given to us cold. Second visit, a special offer was on and advertised all over social media, stating that the burger was 1.99 for that day only. After again waiting an hour in the drive-thru, pinned in the car and unable to get out, we were told that this KFC was a 'franchise' and they were not doing this particular offer. Were were charged full price and again handed cold food, after 20 extra minutes of showing them evidence of the offer.I've not been here for years and won't go again. Rude and gormless staff, with shocking customer service.

Waitrose than 10 minutes, big queue, all staff were outside smoking at the same time!!! No one serving!!! Car park wall has been knocked down for months, no one cleans tables.

Stopped here briefly for lunch and regret it massively. Service was absolutely shocking. So slow and the staff don’t seem to care, chucking the chips all over the place, saw multiple people get given the wrong items. Worst KFC I’ve ever been to.

Absolute disgrace. Got six piece chicken and sweetcorn and we didn’t only got one good piece out of the six and the sweetcorn was clap cold. Phoned them up to complain and they wasn’t interested saying we don’t have to put a certain type of chicken in it goes on weight. Not helpful at all and we won’t be visiting this kfc again.

Callled on way home from work. Subtle hint to the manager of this place,FAST FOOD IS SUPPOSED TO BE FAST.15 minutes waiting behind 3 other cars is anything but fast.Theres no denying the quality of the food,but customer service is poor. Somebody needs to get a grip here,this is not the first time.

Arrived at around 5.30pm on a Thursday night. Decided to eat indoors as not been in since the refurbishment. It was a little awkward to queue as there is now an order and collection station, however this seems not to work effectively as there are big stations directly behind where you queue which makes it difficult for the customers behind you.

I will never go to this restaurant again, i turned up just after 5pm, for most of the staff discussing going home, roughly 4/5 staff, i was still waiting to be served 5 minutes later! Then one of the wimen that worked there who was going home came to the front of the counter and asked one of the other staff to get her a drink... which he did before serving me waiting to pay?? Then after taking my order a lad was putting the salad in my rice box with his bare hands???!!! I have never seen anything like it! It should be the first thing they learn hygiene. Never again!

The refurb has just gone through and the WC has no seat. I have given the town shop a few chances an been greeted with rudeness, dirty tables, staff ignoring customers to have chats at the back. Wrong orders, the wakefield road one has buckets on the tables catching the rain. although their staff are great the fact that this should be fast food, well I lost half a universe waiting for my order and they gave me extras as id waited that long.

Called in with 2 of our grandchildren as a treat for them, the fries where double fried so almost burnt and the chicken was cooked but only warm. The staff were ok but i would class our visit as average. We had the boneless bucket which easily fed the 4 of us.

Just back from KFC Peel Street it took 4 minutes door to door food was seriously cold had a fillet box meal the fillet burger was cold the mayonnaise was icy cold as was the bun, chips cold no warmth at all chicken portion barely warm gravy was hot. The whole meal went in the bin total waste of time and money. DON'T GO THERE!!!!

The place is scruffy they take forever to take your order on drive through and never get the order right. Totally hit and miss, visit Doncaster and go through the Sprotbrough road site and it’s a different league. Really really bad service Barnsley and it’s not just me it’s well known. Close down and start again

Turned up and when we parked in from of a gate tied up with tie wraps that should of been que to leave.... instead we went in, place was unclean, bins over flowing and stunk like a baby nappy change room. Toilets not much better, no toilet roll. When husband was ordering our food the staff looked unhygienic, there was mess all over the baby high chairs, and only 2 available anyway. There was no paper plates, no serviettes and the whole experience made me feel sick to the point I actually left 90% of my food. Should be shut down, will not be returning!

Went through drive through I was not driving so started to eat mine in car as we set of chips stone cold chicken nice and hot

first off I've been going to this KFC for the fast few years and its been great however over the past 6 months or so it has drastically gone DOWN hill , its very very slow sevice and the staff are not helpful at all! I've had to take my food back on numerous occasions do to it being inadequate or not to standard weather it being UNDERCOOKED or LEFT OUT ALL DAY , i visited the store today and ordered a fillet meal, i sat down with my food only to discover the chicken was rock solid and BLACK and the bread was torn apart i went to the counter and asked politely for a refund or a new meal because i was not happy with it ,one of the female staff shrugged and did nothing ,i left my food on the counter and left do not recommend !!!

We was waiting at the drive through speaker thing 25 minutes until we ordered, anyway we went to the second window and the staff Didn't care at all about us, they didn't even put the lid on the cup properly so it went all over my car, they didn't make eye contact once, honestly the customer service was appalling and the food was absolute disgusting I had to bin it, the worst food in Barnsley by far never again !!

Drive through is tedious, time consuming and regularly you end up with half of what you ordered and half of what they fancy putting in.We went last month and they'd run out of Pepsi, Beans, Coleslaw, Gravy and Popcorn chicken.

Ordered a takeaway coffee, got THIS! That's my coffee after my five minute drive home! Disgusting! The coffee is never consistent in taste and quality. Seattle coffee is supposed to be an excellent brand. But that was hardly a third of a cup!

I can`t say anything about this place without swearing. Inside look like garbage truck open his back and trow all on floor. Staff so upset they have to serv u. Never apology for waiting ,never thank u. 40min wait for simple meal.

When we arrived the tables were all dirty and full of old food.By the time I'd got served they had been cleaned but there still seemed to be an air of neglect about the place.I wanted to use my loyalty card today which would have got me £5 off but the assistant said that the machine wasn't working. Though I was disappointed a supervisor came across and gave me 20% off our food, so I was happy.Food was fine, son burnt his hand on a chicken strip. Ice machine also wasn't working.In summary, the staff were helpful and trying their best but I think that there needs to be something done to make the environment more welcoming.

My partner called in here as a last minute decision and we wish he hadn't bothered. We knew it was going down hill but think it is the lowest ever. The chips were burnt with lovely black bits on and the chicken was so overcooked. Unfortunately it is nearly all in the bin and we are out of pocket and rumbling stomach also.

Served by a young lass, who more interested in lads and had no people skills whatsoever. Extremely slow service, everywhere was a mess with bins overflowing, obviously no one cared. When we finally got our food it was horrible, our local SFC chicken shop is miles better and cheaper.Definitely wouldn't miss KFC if it went bust.

Went to KFC drive thru at 22:30 on Friday evening. Waited at speaker to place order. Told we're closed ? Went round to front window. There was another vehicle in front and they didn't seemed best pleased with the staff. We he left I went to window and asked if they normally close at 22:30 on a Friday evening. I didn't get a yes or no just drive back round ?Drove back round to place order 12 piece boneless meal. Asked what 2 sidesGravy & Sweetcorn please. Reply was sorry no beans left ? Stated again what I asked for . Sorry no Sweetcorn. I just asked for any side they had.Also ordered a megabox. Long story short. Chips uneaten dry only few chips in each bag , no popcorn chicken with meal , no gravy with megabox. Staff rude couldn't even say please or Thankyou. Think we spoilt them closing early as it was pretty obvious no manager was about with the way they were all stood about. Service as always been slow here but foods usually been ok.Only got part of each order and threw most away. Will be speaking to management. Disgusted

This place could win an award for being the worst fast food place I have visited.I've never had problems with KFC before, but this one really is the pits!!No clean tables, food on the floor, overflowing bins.The toilet was the cleanest part of the place-and that was filthy.Unless you are starving, DO NOT visit this place!I'm writing to Head Office-surely they can't be aware of how bad this branch is.

When I visited the resteraunt I ordered a KFC bucket. The chicken in the bucket was red and raw, I was nearly sick. I told them at the counter and they gave me a full refund for the food. I suggest not to go there, the hygiene is terrible and the food is terrible.

Just ran into this KFC and needed WIFI, so, chicken it was. The food was not bad, really, the taste was fine, I actually liked the rice thingy I had. Service, so so, ordered more as I got (and paid for) so that was odd, my language skills are not perfect but understandable most of the time. Just got the impression that a customer was just a customer and not the customer. Hygiene, the place was filthy, rubbish on the floor, come on, clean up, learn from McD who usually keep their places spotless, and this is a KFC general issue as I've seen it with other venues as well.

Had a run out to our local kfc Wakefield road , Barnsley Got a drive through , 4 pieces shortOf the order and fries ,gravy cold Then had a rude manager to deal with ! Got my money back . Went up to the other kfc Barnsley Peel st . Much better warm food and clean place unlike Wakefield road which is a health hazard !

When does KFC run out of chicken ? Well in Barnsley it happens often at both out KFC's. They also enjoy giving out wrong orders , flat drinks or tasteless drinks , cold food , and food badly packaged due to them not caring. The entrance to the drive thru is terrible dirty and looks like your drinking down a nasty back alley

Please avoid it appears to put profit before cleanliness and service. there was no clean tables and no came out the whole time I was there, food was poor.

For the fourth visit in a row we have been and there has been no chicken ready which baffles me at 6.30 pm! The staff seem quite young and not too bothered, I guess they just need a few more staff and better organisation. I agree you don't want to be throwing food away late at night but at tea time there is no excuse.

Been here quite a few times and the food is up and down. Late night you seem to get the dried up leftovers so would advise to go earlier. We wont call again late on.

Upon arrival at the restaurant, we were blissfully unaware of the fate that awaited us; what was initially a purely bantz trip for some cheeky chicken, soon turned into a vastly regrettable voyage into the unknown. After some brief contemplation we were ready to order, and were beckoned over to the counter by who we soon discovered to be Lucifer himself, sent directly from the 8th circle of hell. His mission was clear - destroy any chance of bantz whatsoever, and oh did he succeed.We 'attempted' to make our orders, which were met with snide grins, totally 0/10 would not recommend remarks and a serious disregard for personal space. Our money was scrutinised liberally and described as counterfeit, and when we protested were answered with "hahahaha awwwww just avin a laff m8". UNAMUSED WE WERE I CAN TELL YOU NOW. We received our food and swiftly ran away into the distance (a corner table), and resumed our top kek shenanigans. This golden era would not last for long, however, as soon enough this very silly man reappeared at our table, saying things which we can only assume were supposed to make us laugh as we looked on blankly with chicken grease running down our chins. Throughout the remainder of our meal, this banterless scrub would continue to spout embarrassing nonsense in our direction, inevitably followed by the words "go on love, crack a smile".We might have stayed for dessert, but we desired nothing more than to put as much distance between ourselves and the grease-soaked try-hard smellmongrel as possible, so we embarked immediately for New Zealand.2/10, would not deadpan again.

I visited KFC on Wakefield Road with my family. It was as cold inside as it was outside. No facilities to warm the babies bottle, we had to ask 3 times for a cup of hot water as the counter turned his back on us. There was no adequate place to change the baby except on the floor in the toilets. We were trying to have a conversation but the noise from the staff cleaning tables and moving furniture meant we couldn't hear each other.Not at all family friendly.Not as good as the KFC in Barnsley town centre

We placed our order, then proceeded to pay at the window. The problem arose when the very observant staff member noticed that we were not actually in a vehicle. We did try to convince her we had two scooters hidden in the bushes but she was having none of it.We found a very obliging member of the driving public to take our cash and pay on our behalf, so it was all good.KFCs policy stinks, but we got our bargain bucket all the same. (My sister still claims they sell pidgeon).

This place actually regularly runs out of chicken, hence why I called it Kentucky Fried. The staff service is horrendous, I'm regularly queuing for ages and the staff always forget something. In fact the staff seem to run the place as they like.
