KFC in East Hertfordshire

Cold chips, pot luck with drink which was syrupy and flat. I think it was a pepsi max. Mighty bucket for one was thrown in a paper bag. Asked counter staff what drink it was as it was just sitting on counter and I didn't get option on ordering. Didn't even turn around and said "pepsi max". Quality!

Food was fine and served quickly, without a smile i must add. Ordered the dipping boneless feast sharing bucket, only to find when we took the food back to the car that no dips were actually in the box or forks to eat the beans with. And no napkins were provided either. Do these employees receive any training?

This KFC is overpriced and the food was rotten. Dry and over cooked chicken, cold and soggy chips, just disgusting. Do not eat here, it’s awful.

Terrible customer service at KFC! The person who was serving wouldn't take any notice that we were waiting then he was calling us rude. We definitely not going back.

I've ordered twice from this KFC and the order items have been wrong on both occasions. The most recent order had my sons food missing. How hard is it to get an order right? I have no faith that I will get what I ordered at this KFC now, so avoid.

Ordered the 12 piece boneless feast only got 10 peices, they forgot the popcorn chicken, tried to argue we had everything, considering I got the boneless feast as has things for all the kids and my self and popcorn chicken is 1 child's favourite and although we got it eventually it was literally thrown at me. Fries were Stone cold... KFC there is always an issue when we go... we will no longer be using them.. KFC isn't what it used to be. I'd avoid where possible.

I have used multiple KFC outlets both high street and service stations and never had any issues using the NHS Blue light discount. This weekend i had the unpleasant experience of visting KFC @ Birchanger Green services Bishops Stortford. Despite going to other KFCs @ services stations this weekend over my long Road trip and having no issues This KFC outlet refused to accept our NHS Blue light discount card. Giving an excuse of they are operating a limited menu and not making any money (all items appeared available on the menu screen) When asking to speak to the manager (who took 10+ mins to come and see us) he was very rude and when questioned about the above reason he gave he became irate and refused to continue to answer anymore and turned and walked away. Also reading other feedback on review websites and facebook pages it seems that this particular outlet has a lot of issues with the manager and rudeness at this chain. This really isnt a good look for KFC. Since when has KFC refused NHS blue light discount ?? KFC I await your reply... #THANKYOUNHS

Questionable hygiene: after using the touch screen to place my order I went over to the hand sanitiser. Nothing in it. I told the lady when I went to pick up my order. She wasn’t concerned. I hunted for signs of another one found one on the site but it appeared to be watered down. Anyhow the food. Miserable coating on the chicken and the chips had a strange blossomie after taste.

Ordered my food at 9PM, 11:15pm I stopped trying. 2hrs for a bit of chicken and they couldn't deliver it. Don't do the service if you're not capable. Bunch of jobs worths

No pedí pollo de receta secreta sino un platillo de arroz, ensalada y una pieza de pollo, incluyendo una bebida por menos de 6 libras. Me gustó que hubiera otra oferta de comida y no solo el pollo tradicional. Me dieron un cupón en mi nota de consumo para recibir 15% en mi siguiente compra. Lo único que no me gustó es que la entrada y zona de atención a los clientes está mal diseñada y forzosamente se cruza uno con los demás y no se guarda la distancia. Es obligación de uno mismo separarse del grupo y esperar turno en lugar apartado. El sitio está limpio pero noté que los cliente no usan el gel disponible cerca de la caja, tal vez porque no está muy a la vista.

Disgraceful customer service. Food is not even near warm. Tiny portions The snack box had like 7 chips and 5 popcorn chickens. First time having a problem with KFC 👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾 And apparently they had no salt 😐😐

Bought 2 snack boxes which both came out half empty and chips where cold asked if could fill them up with chips and was told that's what you get, normal price for a snack box 1:99 at services 2:99 and got half as much food its not like chips cost that much managed to fit both meals in one snack box that's how little I got

The service was poor and the value for money was also extremely poor. KFC appear to have reduced the portion sizes but kept the prices high. Love KFC but won’t be eating KFC again.

He illegally refused to give me my money back when I wanted a refund for the inedible food. Had to speak with another manager from another restaurant to sort it for me plus made a complaint to KFC themselves, the ignorant manager needs sacking.

Stopped here for dinner before catching a flight. Just had chicken and fries. They were a bit greasy but still nice. Staff were friendly but no cutlery.

What an improvement at this KFC! We have used this one many times over the years and would agree with some of the comments about the food and the service. When we went in this weekend it was fairly busy and the electronic ordering machines were all in use so we went to the order desk. All of the staff that we dealt with were friendly, cheerful, customer focused and made sure that everything was as we wanted it!The meal was ready in under two minutes, was hot, cooked well, presented well and a good portion of hot fresh fries. Hopefully the standards will be maintained!

Writing this as I sit in front of the store. Ordered a burger and chip meal medium and got literally about 10 chips. (bare in mind the meal was 7 odd quid))I thought there was likely a mistake so politely went over where I was met by a woman who looked at me very rudly like I was an inconvenience I explained and she said 'yeah and that's it' very rudely instead of asking what they could do to help the person I can imagine is in charge (not much help) said what's the problem I explained and he utterly dismissed and was incredibly rude. What is this the potato famine. What a joke. Fuming

Stopped for some food on the way back home. There's self order machines you can use but we went to the counter to order. Only because we couldn't find a customise your order button on the machines and i wanted to select which chicken pieces i got.Service was pleasnant and friendly. Got served by the assistant manager. No issues with me wanting certain items.Just as i was taking the food away the manager called me back and asked me to check my 7up. Someone had just returned on and it was just fizzy water so had ran out of the 7up syrup. Sure enough mine was the same. This was dealt with without issues.Food itself was hot and tasted good. Don't normally eat the fries as kfc fries arent good but these weren't to bad.

This is the worst KFC I have ever had!I ordered a boneless banquet meal but was only able to eat a few of the chips and had to throw the rest of the meal away.The chicken pieces were soggy and dripping with oil and had a strange after taste, the chips were hard and you could tell they were old and had just been re-fried.It is also more expensive than a normal KFC but tasted like a cheap supermarkets frozen southern fried chicken just dipped in oil!

Back from holiday so popped inFirstly it was chaos people all over the placeEventually served but the asian manager guy was trying to serve 2 at once so nobody was getting good service 3 times I had to go back due to missed items plates cups see serviettes gravy all.missingShocking simply shockingDidn't even have any clean up wipesWorst take away ever go somewhere else in this services

Popped in for some lunch on the way down to Folkstone.As always the meal was good,lots of choice options to be had.But please rally around for the car park exit system to be updated!!Its terrible,it took us twenty five minutes to get back to the M11, and that's about 200 yards!!

Not sure why bad reviews its a take away not fine dining you get what you pay for. Ours was fresh hot and tasty. Staff is normal young people rude and more chips on their shoulders than you get on a plate.

Went to order a burger meal and the man who served me told me my card was cancelled. He then refused to serve me again. Terrible. Never going back!

Popped in whilst charging the car at stansted services. Ordered a bucket for one for myself and was discussing with my son what he wanted and asked him if he wanted the same bucket as me, he said no Just a drink and I will share food with you as not very hungry. The server confirmed two buckets and I said no only one, to which he huffed in disgust and rolled his eyes indignantly and when I said is that a problem he just rolled them again and said don't get annoyed at me, it was a miscommunication, he reduced bill by taking bucket off, I paid and we sat down, and he went and hid at back of service. Customer service appalling.

Stopped at these services for lunch. Went to toilet first and horrible smell coming out of there into the service station. Had KFC for lunch which I have not had for a while and did not enjoy it. The Chips have changed and not as good as years previously. One of the pieces of chicken was pink at the bone. Think it will be another few years before I have KFC again!

Dropped in here to eat post a flight from France. Food was okay and and machines to order also okay but not cheap. All you could really taste was salt and the 25 minutes to get out of the Services, which to be fair was probably not their fault ( Highways England numbskulls) rather set the disappointing tone. We also wanted to do some shopping but many outlets are shut miuch earlier than you woulsd think and trying to find how late they stay open is not at all easy, even though they are supposed stay open 24 /7. I suspect this applies to the petrol which you need a second mortgage to buy so for late night arrival prepare to be disappointed. If there was anywhere else to go we would have gone there. Even adding a review for Birchanger was a whole in the end impossible, unlike South Mimms so KFC gets the grief on its own which to be fair again is not all their fault. The communal eating areas were crowded and none too clean, noisy and not at all a relaxing experience.

Se soggiornate nel Motel di fronte e siete amanti del pollo fritto, questo è il posto che fa per voi! Noi abbiamo preso un bucket per quattro e ci abbiamo mangiato in tre! Fin troppo grande!

Can someone please tell KFC that they need to change their fries. For years they have been horrible but they don't seem to care. Hard as cardbaord and taste less. Chicken was OK but not a lot of the nice skin and topping.

Ordered the food and there was no please or thanks from the cashier. Really poor customer service and expensive as well. Will certainly not go there again!

Visitamos este KFC porque nos quedamos en la puerta de al lado Ramada. Mi pareja y yo realmente disfrutamos de máquinas de autoservicio que te permitía pedir y pagar su comida. El servicio fue rápido y la comida era de la misma calidad que me encontrarían en KFC.

El pollo no se cocino el momento y estaba aceitoso y blando el rebozado.

Capisco che bisogna recensire tutto, ma è un KFC, cosa si può dire di un KFC? Personalmente gli darei sei pallini perché io adoro il pollo fritto, e con una decina di euro potete mangiare in abbondanza; anzi, se siete in tanti prendete i bucket collettivi e spendete ancora meno. Dopodiché, questo particolare KFC sta nella food court dell'area di servizio all'uscita dell'M11, seguite le frecce per Services, parcheggiate, entrate, mangiate, è aperto fino alle 23 e venerdì-sabato anche più tardi, digerirete poi con calma mentre vi lavate le mani dall'unto. Consigliato!

What can I say, about kfc, normal service, we always have the boneless banquet which is very good value, be warned if you go at a busy time the queue will be very long and the car park will be grid locked.

Ate here on the way to Stansted. Due to the late time everything other than here & Starbucks was closed so feeling very hungry we dived in. Everything was well cooked & not greasy. Service was polite & efficient. I would eat here again

Chicken was dry and the coating was ok to look at, but lacked the flavour almost as not enough seasoning use in the coating. Large black coffee was okGood service from the staff, shame their product let them down!!

Sometimes you can get great service and other times the staff seem to have attitudes and not happy no make simple requests like can i have a cup or can i have some sauce etc. In a bucket of 15 there will always be 5 pieces that are drenched in oil.

I was served by a young male called Nathan Burke. His service was first class and I could not fault his work. However i had ordered a BigMac for me and my girlfriend, Amy, from here but they gave me chicken wings instead. I am allergic to chicken and I ended up feinting. However, to my rescue, was Nathan's great level of biology. Nathan had told me he had a BTEC Extended Diploma in Sport and without it I would have not survived

Used this KFC as the one i used to use was so bad. Got a Family bucket with sides. Coating on the chicken. Well it was not a great amount, It looks like they have taken the skin off the chicken before cooking it, and the coating just is no where as good as it used to be. The chips are the same all through this companies Restaurants. Like cardboard after five minutes, and the side corn on the cob was as the other KFC i visited over cooked and soggy. Straight in the bin. Will not use again crap fast food. Shame as KFC used to be so comfort eating food.

The food was good, but the seating area needs to be cleaned better. The floor was dry, but very slippy. The toilets also quite dirty.

Me and my parents got to dinner in Welcome Break's KFC. My father work there. The food is very good. The employees are very graceful. I'll come back later.

Per the title, a KFC like any other in a very busy service station but I'd imagine significantly cheaper than anywhere on terminal. Very close to airport if arriving by car.

Great prices for a service station , lovely big portions, my son was very happy compared to our northern KFCs

The food is fresh and staff are friendly enough. Unfortunately some of the staff either can't count or easily distracted. We tense to have it at least twice a month and several times, a few items were missed off our order. The latest time was on 1st march (invoice 2834 served by a person calls MATE!) 4 hot wings were missed off a Wicket variety bucket, the time before that was 2 pieces of chicken and another time was the gravy that we paid extra for! The place is often busy with travellers due to the fact that it's a motorway Welcome Break so it's not the sort of place that you can double check your order and start counting pieces of chicken when there's a queue of people waiting! by the time we get home 7 miles away, the last thing you want is to drive all the way back for a few hot wings! We even tried to call them once! There was an automatic message giving you lots of options/numbers (it doesn't go straight to KFC eventhough the tel number is printed on its receipt), we tried twice but there were no answer on both occasions. My advice is either overcome the embarrassment, check your order regardless of the queue or order something simple like a meal for 1. It's such a shame really!

I bought a 14 piece bargain bucket from Stansted services, to take home for my family. It was gross. Greasy, over cooked, very dark , very dry, even the usually moist breast and drum sticks were very very dry. Could not eat any of it. Very disappointed. If i didn't live so far away from the services, I would have taken it back. Won't be buying KFC from there again.
