In the pub a screen gave messages like “Fighting will het you banned” and “Don’t leave your drink when you go to the bathroom; you never know what’ll happen”. Not my kind of pub if these warnings need to be displayed. Soft drinks are postmix; not out of a bottle. And had the weakest Bacardi and Coke I ever had. The live music was OK. Would not recommend

Did an over night stay in Stratford with friends and came across this little gem of a pub, now there are lots of venues in Stratford and we probably did most of them 😂 but the keys, wow, just wow. We were made to feel welcome by the very hard working bar staff, and the entertainment was fab, the atmosphere was brilliant. People I spoke to said they go quite often as there is always entertainment on of some sorts. Will definitely be going back on my next visit to Stratford

This place is a gem! Town centre, great atmosphere,always has great free live music. Always a great night!! A must visit place in Stratford.

This is a cracking pub, always busy whenever I’ve been there, with a great atmosphere. The staff are really friendly, and the happy clientele are of all ages. Really worth visiting next time you’re in Stratford!

Excellent pub with a great selection of lager and ale. The live music on Saturday is always an excellent night out with a party atmosphere.

You can’t have an over night stay in Stratford and not pop in The Keys. There’s always great entertainment with fantastic atmosphere and the friendliest of staff.

What a cool venue, with live music pretty much every night of the week which is what we went for on Friday night. Great beer and a rocking good atmosphere. Staff all very smiley and even the door security bloke was having a laugh with us. Good for all ages I would say, not just full of young people on the usual town centre beer trail.

Had the best night here singing karaoke with the wonderful owner ms. Cassie. Absolutely sensational vibes and will be back again no doubt! 5 stars all round

Lovely beer garden and very tasty food but the service was disappointing. Asked for a food menu to be told that they hadn’t been delivered yet, this was at about 2pm, finally got a menu and ordered 2 lots of tapas, first lot arrived and we were told that the second lot was on its way, 40 mins later it still hadn’t arrived! In the end we had to reorder, by which point half the dishes weren’t available. Waitress apologised and offered us a drink on the house, the food arrived (missing the dips that should have come with the dishes), we ate and the drink never showed up! Staff were friendly and there was plenty working so not sure what went wrong. Lovely spot if you’re not in a hurry or too hungry!

This was one of the first places i visited after lockdown and the table service was amazing, at no point did we have to look around for service and the beer and food just kept flowing.I was also amazed to find the lady looking after table was the manager.All in all i had a great night and i would highly recommend this pub to anyone.

Do not eat here! This is the first review (complaint) I have ever felt the need to write. Visited The Keys in Stratford upon Avon as a family of four for lunch. 20 mins after ordering our food we asked when it would be ready, they said another 10 mins. We asked again 10 mins later as we were now feeling very hungry and then told that unfortunately it would be another 15 mins. There didn’t even seem to be a guarantee for this. So after 45 mins we made the decision to go elsewhere and grab a sandwich. I asked for a refund, which they gave for the ordered food but the manager stubbornly refused to do the decent thing and compensate by not charging us for two drinks we’d had. She seemed completely uninterested in our situation. There was no effort throughout the time were there to come to us to apologise and explain. Clearly the customer doesn’t matter. Very disappointing experience and I’d stay well clear.

Lovely quirky beer garden, didn’t have anything to eat on this occasion, but the beer was good and a good price. I will definitely visit again as the setting is lovely

Ordered a mixed grill for myself and steak pie and chips for my wife. Waitress didn't bother asking how i liked my steak cooked took order walked off. Meal bought out, had to go to bar to ask for steak knife which turned out no sharper than original one. Steak and gammon like shoe leather couldn't cut it with either knife, onion rings luke warm as was black pudding. Only thing any good was chips and sausage but at £14.95 was an expensive sausage and chips meal. Definitely would not go back and would not recommend either.

Went for a birthday meal with my best friend her daughter whose 17 months her partner and my 5 year old daughter. The food was sensational and beyond reasonably priced. Really got a good heart Sunday pub lunch and was left feeling full and satisfied. Would definitely recommend the keys & kitchen for its food, service and friendly welcoming atmosphere not just for my friends and myself but our kids as well. I went in pregnant and needed my food cooking a specific way which was no trouble for the chef and was done beyond exceptionally. Look forward to returning one day and seeing what else the menu and establishment has to offer.

La pierna de cordero se vino abajo, el rosbif estaba tierno y rosado como debería ser. El personal era amable y nos cuidó bien las dos veces que pasamos este fin de semana. Todos los letreros en la ventana decían que usaras máscaras, pero parecía que si eras joven y local no era necesario. Ambos días se dejó entrar a muchos bebedores jóvenes sin máscaras y sin ser interrogados por el personal. La peor comida que creo que he comido. El servicio era malo y tardó 30 minutos en darnos menús, ya que se olvidaron. Los bocadillos que teníamos estaban empapados y el cerdo sabía a comida para perros. No es amigable con COVID, me sentí muy inseguro ya que ningún miembro del personal usaba protección y estaba muy cerca de mi mesa.

Tomó 30 minutos para que nuestros menús nos los entregara la camarera más grosera. tuvimos que pedir dos veces por estos. luego tomó otros 30 minutos para que llegara nuestra comida. Pedí un sándwich de salchicha que decía que vendría con pan de masa fermentada. venía con pan blanco barato que no había sido tostado ni nada. la salchicha parecía una lengua y olía específicamente a lo que te quitaste el hilo dental de los dientes. era esencialmente 6. 90 para pan y carne. Tomé un bocado pero el olor me hizo sentir náuseas. He tenido mejores ofertas de comida de Boots que esta. El personal no usaba máscaras y hablaba muy cerca de nosotros, así como tampoco regulaciones para el baño, que estaba lleno. Luego nos cobraron una propina obligatoria del 10%. Actualmente soy mesera y si estuviera brindando el servicio que recibimos hoy, esperaría una queja y una reducción de propina. Nunca volveré aquí y desearía no haber malgastado mi dinero. ¡no vengas ac'a! ¡Por favor!

He estado aquí varias veces en el pasado y en general ha estado bien, pero fui el mes pasado con algunos amigos, nuestra reserva no se cumplió y estábamos atrapados afuera en el frío, el personal también fue increíblemente grosero con una actitud y Ni siquiera se molestaron en usar máscaras o viseras a pesar de las nuevas pautas. Antes de comenzar, resalté esto cuando estuve allí. Reservado con 2 semanas de antelación debido a COV 19, llamado el día debido para confirmar. Llegó a tiempo para ser sentado afuera en una mesa y sillas oxidadas, ¡Me mudé adentro! pidió bebidas y dos comidas. ¡5 - 10 minutos más tarde dijeron que se acabaron un pastel determinado! ¡Así que ordené otra tarta y le dijeron que solo quedaba una! ! así que terminaron básicamente con el pastel que tenían. Después de 45 minutos decidieron averiguar dónde se consiguió la comida y les dijeron que estaban muy ocupados, ¡Lo siento! ! ! . Sugiera que el personal también se acostumbre a hablar con los clientes correctamente, sin problemas, cariño, chicos! ! ! ! En realidad, he dicho suficiente. Sin duda, volveré a Stratford en Avon, pero le dará a este lugar un nacimiento muy amplio.

Just reopened and enjoyed a drink and pie meal - felt very safe, friendly table service, good food and drinks. Felt good to get back to some form of normality (well new normality!) and we were very happy with our visit

This hidden gem is a must visit.With an amazing interior and beautiful garden that transports you to a ‘new world’ this place is just perfect.The food is amazing. In the evenings they have a wide range of wide music, that is absolutely brilliant. You should defiantly check out one of the live music nights.I highly recommend this place, I take all my friends and family here.

My husband and I had lovely few hours here yesterday. Service was fantastic and the atmosphere was warm, cosy and welcoming. Great choice of drinks and the bar tender was knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely a place to visit whilst in Stratford-upon-Avon .

Will give it a miss next time, staff not great, drinks are underwhelming. Feel the new management we were told about are not as good as we might have hoped; perhaps by summer their will new management again!

Had a lovely evening here. Beer garden is lovely. Live music on weekends. Good luck to the new owner and its friendly staff. Only reason I gave 4/5 is the kitchen opens in February. So never got a chance to have a meal. Lovely roaring fire. Can't wait to revisit in the summer.

On arriving the place was very quiet but had a really comfortable atmosphere. Music was booked for 9pm, and by 8.30pm the place was packed. If you want a seat please get there early as we did. The place and staff was brilliant a very well worthy trip i f in the area for a night out. Brilliant.

popped in here for a light lunch and a drink few months back , staff very welcoming and was lovely out the back in garden , shame chef hadnt turned in but still enjoyed a few drinks , came back on night for a few drinks and was busy and pretty cramped as its not a big pub but still enjoyed ourselves , will be back

Nice little find, a bit off the beaten track. Open Fire, comfortable, nice drinks. Ticks every box. Limited bar snacks, but that’s ok. A band was playing later in the evening, but we were gone by then. Nice spot for a drink.

Really nice atmosphere. There was a band on, drinks were a bit pricey, but then to be fair this is Stratford. Bar staff were on the ball and managed the queues well. Would like to go again in the day time, expecially in the summer.

Visité este pub un sábado por la noche específicamente cuando se anunciaba una banda, llegamos aproximadamente a las 9 después de comer temprano en otro lugar y tuvimos la suerte de obtener un asiento justo cuando otra pareja se iba. La banda llegó y fue absolutamente brillante, hizo una variedad de música que abarcó al menos tres décadas y lo hizo muy bien. Las edades de la clientela en el pub oscilaban entre los 20 y los 60 años, por lo que había música para todos los gustos. During a night out in Stratford came across The Keys very lively with live band,went in very busy ordered a pint and vodka diet coke charged £10.Asked barman if this correct he said yes most drinks £5 each.We was discusted and felt robbed and angry wont be back.

A simply stunning beer garden out the back really does make this place. Only disappointing thing was that we popped in for some light lunch on a Sunday only to find it was only serving roast beef with no other options at all. Beer was good though!

Came across this wonderful pub whilst having a mooch round town. We sat outside in the garden and wasted a good few hours chilling out with a couple of bottles of wine.

Stumbled across this gem of a place at lunchtime whilst looking for somewhere with a home cooked Roast on offer. The 4 of us all had Roast Beef which was beautifully cooked, and the extra veg and cauliflower cheese that was served alongside went down fantastic. When I asked about the wall in the garden was told it was collapsing so was in process of being rebuilt. We were informed that there was music on in the evening which we came back for and what an evening we had, an amazing atmosphere and everybody was very friendly.

We found this place as it was advertised as the most quirky in Stratford. The staff were not that interested and frankly it wasn't that quirky either. Had a very quick pint and left for something more interesting

Acabamos de pasar por este lugar hoy. Vimos las señales de que tenían un jardín y se admiten perros, así que nos fuimos. No live music when I was there but I did get to sit in the "naughty corner". Not too many options for gluten and dairy free folks but a really fun environment.

Recently visited Stratford upon-Avon and had the joy of going to the keys and kitchen for lunch, the food was exceptional and the beers were flowing, we decided to stay for the afternoon and then for the band that night.. the most lovely staff I have ever come across, the owner Maralyn is an exceptional lady that runs a very fine establishment... will defiantly be back

Interesante, peculiar, ecléctico, moderno, todo se aplica a The Keys and Kitchen. Lo que parece ser paneles de techo aliados en el frente de la barra y una chimenea en el otro extremo de la sala de la barra. Noches regulares de música, buena comida y una encantadora camarera. Buena cervecería al aire libre y bonitos baños.

Was invited to a party for a friends 'moving on', the beer was not good, in fact it was awful, when mentioned at the bar we were told it will settle in a while, no, it was bad..and very expensive, even for Stratford, we adjourned to another hostelry..

Whenever I stay in Stratford on a Thursday I always make a point of visiting Keys and Kitchen. Great atmosphere and good musicians await you.

Spent wonderful night here yesterday great place and great people. The band Ellie Jones & The Giants were brilliant best band we’ve seen there. We will be back to see them again

My wife and I have visited Keys & Kitchen a few times over the past 18 months as it is dog Friendly but we was disappointed this Sunday 4th as no food is available after 2.00 but also no cakes ( which is advertised outside on their board saying till 5.00). So having already ordered our coffee when finished we walked a short distance to our other favourite, Veeno Wine Bar as it has now become Dog Friendly.

A super cool place with a roaring open fire, great on a soggy January afternoon. Good selection of drinks. A very quirky outside area which will be great in the summer when we return. With a visit even if it’s just to sit / stand in the naughty corner

Qué lástima. Un encantador pub peculiar con una amable camarera. Pedimos lasaña y pollo Kiev. Que decepcion. Mi compañero dijo que la lasaña era muy normal. Pensé que el Kiev sería casero con una selección de verduras. Fue una compra muy barata en Kiev con unas pocas patatas fritas y guisantes para 10. 50. Entra a tomar algo pero evita la comida. ?

The pub was packed with a great atmosphere, really good rock band too. Amber the bar manager was excellent and apologised for the cue at the bar!

Had a very good quick dinner with my lovely lady. A Caesar Salade and Ham & Cheese, all very decent.

We were here 2 Sundays ago on a very hot and sunny day. Town was extremely busy and I was just looking for a quiet pub with a quiet garden where we could chill out for an hour with a drink. A hard task on such a crowded day! Anyway, thanks to google maps I sniffed out this little gem of a pub. I think it was a little quieter as no food was being served that day in here. Loved the decor inside - really cool - but the real find was the garden - what a brilliantly designed space. Absolutely lovely and a complete haven - exactly what we wanted. The young man who served us was very friendly and a credit to the place. A shame we were only passing through, would have come back if we were staying here!

I always try and make a Thursday at Keys when I'm down in Stratford.Such a great buzz with great music! On more than one occasion I've woken up the morning after with a slightly delicate head!

Visited Stratford last year for wedding anniversary, and ended up a few times in the keys and kitchen , great pub with very good food , and live music . Only downside , was on second visit , when I visited toilet, two people shall we say , were in view of myself taking drugs . Was this a one off I don’t now but it has put both me and my wife off going in again . Shame as we both enjoyed it until then .

My friends and I call by here regularly. There's a few reasons we like the place, the accomodation for smokers works for me. The back yard is as good as it gets. The food is at the high end of pub food. Staff are nice.

Myself and 3 friends visited the Keys and Kitchen on Saturday 24th March. Our first impression was it had such a good vibe even though were very busy. We managed to get a table and ordered some drinks and food. When we ordered the food we were advised there may be a slight wait however with how busy it was we expected this. The girl behind the bar was very friendly and the food was very good. Already planning our next visit. Thank you for a lovely lunch.

Great dog friendly boozer with a lovely surprise garden (although not a lot of use in the intermittent snow showers today!). A gastropub it is not, but a great atmosphere, and looks like they have some good live music on too which we are yet to sample.

The roast beef was cooked to perfection with great service and a roaring fire that kept the whole place warm. The service was great and with a smile the whole time. We came back later on to find a great live band and the perfect atmosphere for a late night drink later on in the evening.

We are a long time coming to this venue, but eventually on a Saturday night with live band. Not a good experience as the place was full, drunk, crowded and loud. Perhaps this is what is expected on a Saturday night and a good sign of a successful venture but no excuse for the bar staff turning up the recorded playlist between live sets to almost unbearable volume. We are genuinely surprised this venue still has a music licence. That said, we would like to return for the Key Sessions on a Sunday afternoon and perhaps a more relaxed time. And dog friendly. It is certainly a small venue for live music but has a good atmosphere and contemporary feel. We cannot comment on recent poor food ratings but there is a good range of beer.Our rating reflects a mixed review !

Stratford isn't a cheap place to eat, but last night I had the best value meal I've ever eaten in the town. Wednesday night is pie night, so I tucked into their steak and ale. The mash was lovely and buttery and the pie contained half a cow! They are genuinely 'homemade' and they must struggle to break even at £6 a time. Completely delicious. I heave an appetite that might be described as "hearty", but I struggled to finish it. Proper onion gravy too.
