Had a takeaway Friday night and have to say it's got to be the best around. Would definitely recommend it.

Stayed for dinner as a guest in the hotel. I enjoyed the food, tasty, hot and good portions, nicely presented and not out of the way in terms of price, although I did pay £2.90 for a half of Peroni! The staff were helpful. The meal was spoiled somewhat by the noise from a table of three young men who were clearly drunk. The waitress was very apologetic and offered to move me. I suppose thats a price you pay for eating late in an Indian restaurant. Overall I enjoyed the meal. The ambiance of the dining room is like eating in an aircraft hangar, there little atmosphere and the bar is like sitting in a waiting room. The food and the staff made up for the shortcomings though.

Comimos aquí como un grupo de amigos temprano el viernes por la noche. Estaba bastante tranquilo, así que le faltaba un poco de ambiente, sin embargo este fue más que compensado por la calidad de la comida. El servicio era amable y eficiente, y todas las comidas eran excelentes y entre la mejor comida india que he probado en mucho tiempo. No cabe duda de que volveremos pronto.

I regularly stay at the Grange Hotel because its a great hotel but also because I get to have an excellent curry in this restaurant that is attached to the hotel, Plenty of parking, very friendly staff and the food is always extremely well cooked and presented. I would recommend this place to anyone.

The food here is OK but is nothing special. My lamb vindaloo was average at best. The lamb was tender but the sauce looked to be the same as my friends korma (same colour and texture) only more spicy which suggests to me that they use a base sauce for most of their curries. The rices were well cooked but came in portions half the size I would expect. A positive of the meal was the fish tandoori starter which was well cooked and flavoursome. My main issue is the restaurant has no atmosphere because apart from the food, there is nothing about the place that makes one feel like one is in an Indian restaurant.

one hour wait for starters in the empty restaurant and then another hour before empty plates from starters were cleaned from the table. Waiter seemed not to be noticing our presence. Shocking. We pointed out our dissapointment but nothing was done to rectify. Food was nice.

This was the best Indian meal I've had for some time I was working in Keynsham and staying locally. The staff were friendly, chatty and clearly very focused on serving me. The starters were good, the main meals were good also. The only downside is that they were having problems with their beer. The TV for the takeaway part was a bit intrusive when eating a meal. Am back in Keynsham next month and will definitely eat here next time too!

After a long day it was great to have an eatery close to hand. The meals we ordered were good enough and service was friendly.

Second visit to this restaurant with slight concerns of reported ownership change and lowering of quality. Nothing could be further form the truth, still the best and most authentic cooking I've experienced in the area. Four diners who are regulars at other Indian restaurants in the Bath, Keynsham , Bristol area continually praised the quality of the food. This coupled with the very attentive waiting staff made the evening thoroughly enjoyable. A definite 'be back' experience. The ambiance is tasteful and relaxed and we would happily use the restaurant for a celebration or just a pleasant evening dining out. Definitely now our party's preferred Indian restaurant.

Having visited this one time excellent restaurant many times I cannot believe how bad it has become. The food is now very poor the service is rubbish waited 20 minutes before anyone came to take our drinks order let alone bother to ask us what we wanted to eat. The only member of staff on duty was to busy talking on his own phone rather than looking after his customers. We won't be going back there are many other restaurants near by.

Somewhat disappointing, food was expensive compared to other local indian restaurants and was on the cold side when served. Chipped dishes did not portray a high end venue.

Place was a little dirty, chipped bowls and below average food...friendly but not knowledgeable staff. Average take away establishment. Would not return

My wife and I were staying in the locality and decided to give Keynsham Spice a try, as it was close to our hotel. As it was a Sunday night it was not busy and we were given the table in the bay window, which was nice. The decor is not as snazzy as some curry houses these days, but the ambience was pleasant and everything seemed in good order. The staff were very pleasant without being intrusive. The food was very tasty indeed, possibly a little milder on spice than we are used to (this seems to be a north/south thing rather than any deficiency in the restaurant), but the sauces had an impressive depth of flavour and didn't seem as oily as seems to be the case in may restaurants. Would be very happy to return when in the area again.

Stayed at The Grange Hotel attached next door, so popped in here for food in the evening. All the food was delicious, lots of choice on the menu, piping hot & very tasty. Staff were very friendly, prices are fair too.The only thing missing on my visit was an atmosphere - I was the only one in the restaurant (7.30pm on a Tuesday evening) & on top of this, there was no background music. Other than that, very enjoyable & I will return.

There were several issues right from the off, flat lager, flat coke, soft chewy poppadoms. They tried to resolve the problems but in the case of the poppadoms, a new stack came out the same except a bit warmer (clearly they were not cooked onsite).My daughter had the tikka masala, it was disgusting, sweetened to the point of inedible . I heard a couple on another table complain about the same thing. I asked them to remove it from the bill and they did to be fair.They also took ages to serve us yet the place was virtually empty, overall a pretty woeful episode and we won't be going back.

On a recommendation to try the excellent food and Hospitality we enjoyed a curry of delight. The food was full of flavour prepared in an unhurried manor . It was hot and fresh. The restaurant is very well presented, Although a little empty but it was early at 7.30pm.Please try this as I am not usually a Curry fan and our local house is going backwards. You will be welcomed by Erol and staff for a friendly and polite evening of great value cooking be it a takeaway or as we did, enjoyed a lovely evening.

Had a stopover in keynsham this week,looked for a nice place for a meal and chose keynsham spice,wow what a jem,very friendly manager Erol made my stay very welcoming and the meal was fantastic.Five stars well deserved !!!From Steve

The manager, Erol, was very helpful in suggesting a meal to suit the needs of both my wife and I, and he served us the best Indian meal we have had for some time.

We had a great meal for 11 at this little place in Keynsham. It's recently been taken over and the new owner bent over backwards to ensure we had a good meal. He recommended dishes, adapted dishes to our tastes, served up our homemade birthday cake we had brought with us and even kept our wine in the fridge for us.Great service. Nice food. Bit on the expensive side for its location, but they do have some deal nights which you could take advantage of to try it at a lower price.

I only had a take-away, but the restaurant seemed busy even on a Thursday evening. I picked up a take-away for 2 people that I had pre-ordered by phone. The food was ready exactly when they said it would be, and it was delicious! I am not a great one for take-aways because I usually find them too salty, but this Indian cuisine was cooked to perfection - I suspect they don't add salt at all and let the spices do the work of flavouring the dish. Each dish they produced had a distinctive flavour and wasn't the run-of-the-mill generic "Indian" spice mix.Excellent experience - I'll be going back next time I want a take-away, and will probably get a group of friends together to go to the restaurant.

Have to say everything was bang on Erol (manager) sorted every need and was dedicated to making sure we had a good time. Danzak & Rogan Josh were particularly good.

Delicious dishes recommended to us that we thoroughly enjoyed. Were staying in the adjoining hotel so it was good to find somewhere to eat after a long drive.

A group of 15 of us ate at the restaurant for a birthday meal, we booked a table and were asked to pre order our meal because of the size of our party. Only a few of us chose to have a starter and we all chose different mains so we could try each other's meals. We were served poppadoms and chutneys quickly after we sat down, all tasted good and the spiced poppadoms were a nice touch and turned out to be the highlight of a very poor meal. Our starters were ok but the mains were awful. Pretty much every curry had the same colour and taste and the request for madras hot, vindaloo hot etc seemed to be ignored. Bombay potatoes were cooked to mush and other side dishes were fairly bland. Naan breads were OK but all and all not worth a second visit

we went to this restaurant on May bank holiday. We were the only customers but did not let that put us off. the two girls who served us that evening were the only good thing about the night! The poppadoms tasted stale and the accompaniments were served in dirty chipped dishes. the curry was watery and tastless and the rice was cold. Will not be eating here again

Very good food. And excellent service. Expected prices. I will definitely return here. I'm staying in the hotel. Rooms are nice ,clean.

A great meal had here. The menu reads very well. They have some really different yet authentic options. So much so that my husband, who always has the same thing, chose something different. He had lamb, which was superbly cooked, and I had a fish dish, which was wonderful.The manager, called Erol, was very knowledgeable and helpful was great, and all other staff were attentive and accommodating.We have eaten in the other 2 Indians in the town, and would come back here every timeThank you Keynsham Spice

Went on a Monday night which was £10 for an all you eat can buffet.Really excellant value. Loads of choice, very tasty and piping hot. Pleasing surroundings. Especially handy if resident at the Grange Hotel but also does take aways.

We called up there for a birthday treat for my wife. Never read any reviews before hand so went in blind. All in all we had a superb meal served by a first rate waiter who kept us informed how long out wait would be for our meal. Total wait was around 20 minutes and the quality and quantity was excellent. We would agree with one comment that is the car parking (Very Small) but that said it would not put us of going again.Looking forward to our next visit.

Third takeaway in 3 weeks excellent service every time, food always enjoyed last night with family and friends , must make more of an effort to eat in .

Two of our party tripped up (10 minutes apart) on the premises before we entered the place. Its a health and safety hazard from the tarmac to the patio out the front!! Food was lacking in flavour or spice so not a patch on other local curry houses in Keynsham. Shame as I would like to support local restaurants but this is not worth recommending.

Group of 16 of us from work went here for a farewell meal; parking is limited but you can park off road about 10-20m away. Friendly and accommodating staff, good clean bright atmosphere, with a good selection of dishes on the menu. That said it take them ages to get our meal out and a real shame that some dishes were Luke warm otherwise they tasted pretty good.

First time we have had a takeaway from these and to be honest I think they may be the best Indian Keynsham has to offer. Looking forward to dinning in the restaurant to see if the amazing food and service is continued.

My husband and I visited Keynsham Spice for the first time on Sunday 6th December. We were very impressed with the quality of the food and the portion sizes but a bit disappointed about the slow service, but it wouldn't put us off going again! Highly recommend a visit.

Next to the Grange Hotel and very convenient. They do take away. The food is good and you don't have to wait long. Staff very nice. Subrata.x

Just had a takeaway ,not tried it since new people took over. Very impressed with portion size and quality of food,price was reasonable as well,will return.

You'd almost miss the place if you weren't looking for it (or staying next door). Nice size and modern decor spread across two rooms. Room filled up quite quickly for a Tuesday night and waiter (Naz) quite attentive.Beers good and recommend the large bottles of Bangla for the price (<£5). Poppadoms and sides really good too.Went for the Bangladeshi Naga and persuaded Naz to give me both chicken and lamb and I got a hearty portion big enough for two (without the price). Onion bhaji freshest I've seen for a while and chilli naan hit the spot.Thoroughly recommend if you're nearby or just passing through.

Thinking that a friend had reserved a table at another restaurant he turned the car into the car park for the Keynsham Spice. We'd noticed the restaurant before but its position adjoining a hotel doesn't make it an obvious place to eat. Are we glad we did though.Not only were the portions generous, the food was top quality , the service attentive and the staff genuinely friendly. Indian food would not normally be my first choice but having eaten here I can see why people return time and time again.Whether for a meeting of friends or a celebration everything is likely to be good. I'm confident also that my wife, not a fan of Indian food, could be quickly converted after eating here.Ignore the lack of street presence and visit , you won't regret it.

First visit for a birthday celebration with family. Excellent food, generous portions, efficient and friendly service in an attractive restaurant and all at very good value. Would highly recommend for anybody between Bristol and Bath. Keynsham Spice is fairly new and located within the Grange Hotel on Bath Road. Not the most noticeable place from the roadside but make the effort and you won't be disappointed.

Excellent service and lovely restaurant. Food of a very high standard with the usual dishes you would find in any Indian Restaurants but this place has a superb selection of dishes that are different with chiefs choices.Good value for money. Would highly recommend this for a visit.

I Like Indian food and this was one of the best I have had.The restaurant is only a couple of months old and has a pleasant atmosphere.

As this is a relatively new restaurant in Keynsham, we decided to visit on the Saturday evening prior to Mother's Day. My parents had been to the sister restaurant in Bishop Sutton (Sutton Spice) and they loved it there. This turned out to be just as good, friendly staff, excellent food & we will be going again!

I would highly recommend Keynsham Spice. Very friendly staff and delicious food. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and very comfortable.
