This place is just a short walk from orrell park train station this hidden little gem is just what you need to chill out after a long day in work the jukebox was free so long as you liked soul music from the 70s or 80s. the food was amazing with the barman ready to serve you with multiple drinks beer rum etc. the wifi code needs to be put on the wall so people can have access to free wifi as for the beer garden that too was lovely the only downside was the wind I recommend a small cardigan/ jacket to keep warm overall the place was clean an tidy with loads of memorabilia and little quirks to look at while your enjoying yourself.

This pub is a lovely little spot in bootle, if you’re polite to the landlady Jane she will let you use her hand held fan as it does get toasty in there! Great music and overall such a good vibe. Despite what people say, Kev the landlord gets the crowd going and can’t stop smiling the whole time! He’s such an entertainer. He does do generous pours though so take it easy!! Only thing I could fault was that I did see the cashews were every day essentials and the crisps were aldis own, they need to upmarket their bar snacks. Other than this, a great visit, will definitely be back!

I for one love the colour blue and pictures of men from the 60s who I don't know and this place has both in abundance. Really can't fault it, would definitely recommend if you enjoy the colour blue especially in a lighter tone and just all over the place.

Love visiting the Kev Inn, cosy little place with lots of nostalgic pictures on the wall. The host Kev is a little on the grumpy side but what he lacks in charisma he makes up for with his array of beers and spirits some of which are home made! There is a lovely outside seating area and access to the main house for the loo's which are immaculately clean. Jane who is Kevs long suffering wife can quite often be heard laughing from quite a distance and this normally means that the Kev Inn is open!! I highly recommend this place....it really is one of a kind 😃

Walked in there yesterday evening and it was heaven on earth. The staff greater me warmly and sat me down at candle-lit table. Me and my significant other were astonished by the gleaming cutlery that the exceptional kitchen porter had presented before us. The plates shone with a moonlight glow and the fork shimmered like an undisturbed lake. The kitchen portered undoubtedly put his blood, sweat and tears into this as he does with all the other patrons at this establishment. He takes care with his work and treats it as a craft, a craft of which he is a master. After we partook in our meals and manners, we requested to speak to the artist of a porter who had delighted us with our plates and cutlery. When we spoke to him, he addressed us as part of the restaurant, called us Sir and Ma'am. He informed us he was called Alfred Breen but insisted we called Alfie, he treated us as equals and spoke to us with the up-most respect. He carried himself as someone who is approachable and willing to help someone out, he did not appear arrogant or narcissistic instead felt accommodating, empathetic and caring towards us and all other people within the restaurant. I'm wishing my regards reach the delightful person in question as I would like his kindness and warmness towards me and others be known by everyone as it shows there is still light in this dark world, even if it is only shown from one light.

The front of house male was appalling shouting at my wife saying we didn’t have a booking which we did, he said you wouldn’t get confirmation email if you booked that day which we did, no problem with food it was good, he needs to go on an anger management course, the waiting on staff were polite he was awful we definitely won’t be going back there
