Kettners in City of London, Westminster

Reservamos una mesa para 5 personas a las 2. 30 pm. El entorno del restaurante es excelente, en un entorno muy lujoso. La comida era muy buena, así como el servicio... pero un poco agresivo! Cocina típica francesa con precios razonables. Todos disfrutamos mucho. Estaba bastante vacío en ese momento, pero si hubiera estado más ocupado habría sido una vibra aún mejor.

Muchos buenos aspectos - ubicación, decoración, ambiente, personal. La única mancha fue que preguntaban constantemente cómo estaba todo en el restaurante. Mi amiga informó que su filete era tan duro que no podía comerlo. Sin embargo, no se hizo nada y se presentó el proyecto de ley. Una vez que pagamos, el maitre preguntó de nuevo cómo estaba todo e informamos una vez más sobre el filete no comestible que acabábamos de pagar. Se fue para comprobar por qué no se lo habían dicho, pero luego regresó, completó el pago completo y se disculpó porque su camarero no se lo había dicho. Me sentí un poco confuso de que asumimos la responsabilidad por su falta de comunicación. Qué pena ya que podría haber sido una experiencia mucho mayor

Gran lugar, beatifuly preparado y comida condimentada, gran servicio de camarero insuperable. Y un gran precio teniendo en cuenta la ubicación. No puedo esperar a comer aquí de nuevo. No se puede pedir nada más y el menú es igual de bueno para los vegetarianos. Lo recomendaría mucho.

Una casa adosada clásica, a pocos pasos de Charing Cross Road. Clásico por fuera y cálido y clásico por dentro! Es tan inglés con temas mezclados en uno. Hay algo de ropa interior en marcos de cuadros en el pasillo sin pretensiones más allá de la entrada de mosaicos. Clásicamente saucy! Hay una agradable zona de bar cerca de la entrada que conduce a la gran zona de comedor, bien iluminado. Las mesas son grandes y cinco comensales se sentaron cómodamente alrededor de una mesa redonda. Un beneficio de esta zona de comedor es que las mesas están separadas una distancia decente entre sí para que los comensales puedan escuchar el parloteo de su propia mesa y no el de las mesas vecinas. La selección del menú es una variedad bien equilibrada de carnes, pescados, aves y mezcla platos clásicos (filete) con influencias más modernas (burrata). Los servidores son agradables, aunque es una pizca de mascota mía cuando los servidores vienen a la mesa con platos que anuncian lo que hay en el plato para encontrar qué comensal pidió qué. Hubo un poco arriba - polla cuando mi pedido de eglefino se tradujo erróneamente a la cocina como merluza, pero fue rápidamente propiedad, abordado y me dijeron el tiempo que tendría que esperar por el plato correcto. Opté por tener la merluza de todos modos y fue muy bueno! La selección de postres eran buenas, honestas delicias robustas! (ver fotos)

We came for drinks late. The service was not great nor friendly. Did not look very clean. My friend ordered Nigroni. God knows what was drink was made for him. I had a glass of Cotes Du Rhone red wine. Not recommended.

Amazing place excellent service and perfect food. A big thank you to Lara and Alexandra. Lara was so kind to Our kids and showered them with compliments which made us so proud as parents and made Christmas day so special. My husband approached Alexandra to ask her if we can go in the champagne room to take a picture with the Christmas tree not only did she unlock the door for us but she arranged the table around and made sure we got the best family picture thank you so much Alexandra I hope you know how much it meant for us! Highly recommend it.

Our family ate dinner at Kettners on Christmas Day. Pro: Loved the coziness of the whole place; restaurant, bar, reception area. Con; I am going to assume that the restaurant was completely overwhelmed on Christmas Day and that the service that we had was not typical. We waited for 40 minutes, after being seated, for someone to come to our table. We were supposed to get a glass of champagne upon arrival but I had to flag someone down to ask for it and we flagged someone else for a wine list and she disappeared and never returned. Eventually a waiter came to take our dinner order. We asked him a few questions about the menu which he was unable to answer. As for the food, appetizers were tasty, the vegetable sides of brussels, cabbage and carrots were pretty basic, the chateaubriand was very good but the turkey was bland. Desserts were hit or miss too. Flourless chocolate cake was divine but apple crumble was flavorless. I am able to overlook a few missteps but there seemed to be so many that I hate to say that it left a sour taste in my mouth.

Great atmosphere!! Lovely environment! Beautiful decor! Excellent service! What more could we ask for! Perfect location to move on to other places.

What a great place for friends to gather for an occasion, in our case a Christmas meal for 8 friends/ couples. Service was excellent/ friendly, good wine list & super food , reasonably priced & great quality. In addition a fantastic warm atmosphere in the dining room!!

If you remember the old Kettners then go. It is back as it was. Food excellent. Service good easy and comfortable. Ambience top notch. Takes you back to elegant surroundings. Loved it all

A highly recommended dinner option offerings great atmosphere and amazingly delicious food options with impressively attentive service.

A friend recommended Ketteners as a nice place to eat while we were in London for a few days. The staff were attentive, friendly and were able to explain details of the dishes when asked. One drink from our order was forgotten but this was the only minor inconvenience during the evening. The food was lovely and all dishes were tasty and well seasoned but I just found the desserts to be a little lacking. Really they were pretty standard, tired menu items and whilst being satisfactory in presentation and flavour I saw little inspiration there.

Great ambience and the sharing plates are wonderful groups. We didn’t want to wait an hour for the beef :/ so we opted for the lamb and chicken with some of the salads and copious amounts of cocktails. The service is great, attentive and there isn’t anything that is too much trouble. Great for groups but a little loud I would say for a couples evening.

Not a big area (but you expect that!) Has good selection of drinks, and canapés, they can make something out of nothing, and its good! Staff not used to serve large corporate event by the look of it, but no complaint.

When I walked into Kettners for Friday lunch without a reservation. I should have known that I was in for a nightmare. Walking through the bar area, everyone was working away on their laptops. An almost deserted dining room, which no doubt has become the de facto board room for the coworkers. I made the mistake of thinking this was a restaurant. I love a good Salt beef sandwich, like the legendary £3.70 example at brick lane. So I had high expectations of Kettners £13 sandwich. When it arrived, it was barely recognisable as a salt beef sandwich. Just one thin puny meat slice that looked like some kind of shrivelled ham. Misery between two slices of bread. The so called salt beef might have been improved by the brine in my tears. I remember Kettners before it was taken over by Soho House. It wasn’t amazing but it was good enough. Now it’s seriously below par. To be avoided at all costs, unless you are looking for a coworking space. This place no longer attracts discerning diners. Just laptop users with no better place to go.

Lovely ambience and great service here. Lamb to share was delicious. Would have liked some more options on the menu but everything we tried was delicious. The chocolate pot was fantastic. Recommend as a relaxed but classy place in Soho.

The Sunday roast is brilliant , the roast pork is delicious and full of flavours. The decor is lovely and perfect for a family reunion. There is enough space between tables which allowed us to have kids moving around without feeling uncomfortable . Unfortunately the service is disorganised due to shortage of staff and untrained staff .

We had a brilliant late dinner at Kettners. The soufflé was perfect and the waiting staff very helpful and friendly. I loved the low light intimate setting, ideal to focus on the person you’re with. The restaurant hit the mark for being elegant but unpretentious. I was a bit concerned about the Soho House brand association but the restaurant has retained its own identity. On the strength of my last visit I’m back again this week.

Took a friend for a pre theatre supper . Staff were friendly room had a nice oldie worldie feel . Starters for three were very nice served hot . Artichoke fritters Ox cheek croquettes Peppers padron . Main we ordered the steak for 2/3 chips and greens . Oh dear …. Steak was cold fatty and grissly . Was hardly enough meat for 1 let alone 3 . However bad the steak was the chips that accompanied it were awful … I’m going to say the worst I have ever been served . Probably had sat in the kitchen for days par cooked and fried again ! Was like eating cardboard .! Greens came smothered in garlic !!! Not pleasant at all . Thank fully the desserts didn’t disappoint : Sticky toffee pudding was yum Cheesecake was lovely Donuts with rhubarb and custard were also delicious . I didn’t complain about the main as I didn’t want to make my guest uncomfortable . Maybe choosing the steak was the wrong choice but nothing excuses serving chips like that !!!! Will I go back ….. prob not . Dinner for 3 with cocktails £250 .

What an awful experience I endured. The food was average but not terrible although the music in the restaurant was too loud and it was difficult to hold a conversation. The real challenge came when I went to pay the bill. After asking for the bill, it was presented and I put the cash on the table ready to pay, a member of staff came over and said ' we do not accept cash'. At no point was this mentioned on arrival or when ordering as I would have spent my money at another business who were less discriminatory. I disputed this saying I had left my card in my hotel and said I was ready to pay with cash. The member of staff bought a very rude manager over who was very abrupt and challenged me saying 'you must have a card'. I explained I hadn't, and then he went off in a huff and brought out another manager. The new manager was extremely rude and said 'he would put this on his own card and wouldn't give me any change' , I asked to remove the service charge given the awful service which he refused. I ended up leaving over £20 out of pocket with the refusal of refunding the service charge and the withholding of my change. As someone who suffers from extreme anxiety and going out for a meal is a big thing for me, this experience ruined my confidence. I recommend anyone who like to enjoy a pleasant meal in a nice environment with friendly staff to go anywhere else but other than this venue.

Dropped in with a friend on her recommendation. No room in the main dining room as we had not booked but had a delicious plant based burger in the 'snug' . Would definitely return.

Comenzamos con una bebida en el bar y luego nos mudamos a una encantadora mesa de esquina en el restaurante. El ambiente era perfecto, ajetreado pero con buena acústica para poder mantener una conversación fácilmente.Compartimos entrantes de steak tartare, atún capaccio y burrata. Para el principal pedí rib eye, que estaba lleno de sabor y perfectamente carbonizado en el exterior y rosado en el medio. La lista de vinos era buena y elegimos dos vinos deliciosos.Nuestro camarero fue amable y servicial. No podríamos pedir nada más. Definitivamente lo recomendaría.

Qué trabajo fabuloso han hecho con lo que fueron Kettners. SOHO House group lo ha hecho orgullosoHermosas características antiguas, delicadamente diseñadas para que no lo sepas.Las habitaciones son individualmente diferentes, pero todas están dedicadas a los detalles junto con increíbles productos Cowshed. No queda nada.Cenamos en Soho House a la vuelta de la esquina y luego fuimos al bar de arriba para tomar un cóctel.No se permiten fotografías, por lo que no podía tomar muchas, pero fue un placer.El personal en todas las áreas era de segundo a nueve y desde la recepción hasta el desayuno y la cena, todos estaban en la cima de su juego y obviamente estaban bien elegidos.

Lovely bar and cocktails for a post theatre drink - music clear but not head banging like everywhere else on a Saturday night. Service very polite and helpful thank you.

Out for an evening with old friends at this old favourite, now owned and operated by Soho House. Greeting, taking my coat and showing me to my table was perfect. Sadly it went gradually downhill from there. During the meal the service was polite but just felt a bit to rushed for a restaurant charging these prices. 1st course was an acceptable Tuna Carpaccio. But oh my goodness, WTF is going on in the kitchen with the second courses? I ordered a fancy titled a avocado salad as a main course. What arrived was a plate of iceberg lettuce with an unripe half an avocado plonked on top. Per the fancy title the avocado was covered in seeds, but still totally inedible. So I sent it back. It turned out the kitchen had no ripe avocados at all. But they thought it acceptable to plate up and deliver to customers anyway. Not good. So I ordered a risotto which finally arrived after my friends had finished their meals. What turned up was a dark brown slurry that looked like you know what, albeit with a light scattering of lettuce stalk shreds on top. It was the most disgusting risotto I have ever tasted. Any flavour was totally obscured with salt. At that point I gave up and went to the toilet. When I got back the table was empty and cleared. My friends had been asked to move to the bar, unfinished bottle of wine in hand with no time or even a The offer of a menu for desert or coffee. I will never eat there again.

Having been a regular at my favourite restaurant for 25 years, the policy has now changed, regarding bookings, thanks to it being taken over by Soho House. One can no longer make a reservation in the restaurant, unless a member which will cost £700. The champagne bar is the only available room to eat in and even that can’t be booked! It’s appalling and I, for one, will not be returning. I will also not be recommending it to any friends or clients sadly. It’s obvious the regular clientele have been totally forgotten.

This is not the venue it used to be. Whilst it still has a champagne bar it is tiny for the public. The menu now only has a small selection of champagne, previously the menu would take a while to read given there were dozens of pages. The ambience is no longer as welcoming. The staff are certainly not as attentive. Fully appreciate places change following a takeover, however given the new management this is NOT Kettners!

Don’t come to Kettners!! Staff and service rubbish! Not worth a visit! Staff not attentive! Better places to visit!

Breakfast with my Daughter in Kettners was Excellent. We had delicious and varied breakfasts. Super service Sophisticated environment

Went here for Sunday lunch and had the roast dinner which was excellent. The food is always 10/10 at Kettners.However the establishment has changed it's entry policy and much to its detriment. They no longer take bookings unless one would like to fork out 700 quid per year to become 'a member.' This allows members to enter the more pleasant restaurant while non members are placed in to the rather drab room across the hall with uncomfortable seating. Personally I find this change a tad greedy and unwelcoming. I noted Kettners was the quietest I have ever seen it and I've been going there for years.Instead of this cynical cash grab attempt at class division my advice would be to scrap the current membership nonsense and return Kettners to the excellent place it once was for anyone who wishes to book or drop in. Otherwise I for one would not return regardless of the excellent food.

Vinimos aquí con un grupo de 6 y el equipo nos acomodó y nos cuidó bien durante un sábado sin fondo. Fue de gran valor teniendo en cuenta el ambiente del lugar y dónde se encuentra en Londres.

Cenamos en Kettners el miércoles por la noche y fue una delicia. La comida y el vino eran deliciosos y los cócteles eran fabulosos. El restaurante tiene un encantador ambiente relajado pero antiguo de glamour. El servicio fue excelente (mucho mejor que el resto del grupo Soho House, que generalmente es pobre) y Jody, el gerente del club fue excelente. No puedo recomendar el restaurante lo suficiente.

Llevo más de 20 años yendo a kettners y lo he visto evolucionar con el tiempo. Cuando escuché que se reabrió después de una extensa renovación, pensé que le daríamos otra oportunidad. A mediados de semana en el verano a las 6 pm y el lugar estaba lejos de estar lleno, lo que significa que teníamos una gran área de descanso para que los cuatro estuviéramos cómodos. El personal es muy acogedor y no puede hacer lo suficiente. El lugar es maravillosamente fresco durante el calor del verano. Pero ahí es donde se detiene.

So it’s now part of the Soho house chain...menu reflects that. Service is always good but the menu for vegetarians is so limited - only 2 options for the mains. Hardly 21st century stuff.

I came here along with a couple friends, the place is beautiful, no surprises here because it's from the Soho House group. Service is also very helpful. Sadly the food is not quiet as tip top as most other places they own. Room for improvement

Two of us went for a drink Saturday early evening. The bar looked unassuming from the outside but was just the right kind of busy inside. Service was excellent, drinks were good and at a price you’d expect to pay in central London.

Lovely atmosphere and decor, service was very good, food delicious and very reasonably priced. Shame it's now members only!

This was my first visit back since the re modelling work. The bar and the restaurant area are pretty much the same retaining that classic elegance . That is however where the praise stops as food and service were decidedly average. The crab stater was presented rather slap dash , wine pouring was done with zero care with slops all over the table , roast chicken was band and tasteless with a barely cooked ‘pig in blanket’ . In addition the dining room has the worst acoustics and hearing anyone across the the table was impossible. For the prices I really expect better quality food and service - this not a cheap restaurant. I was very underwhelmed as had such excellent memories of this restaurant . As there are so many other fabulous restaurants in London I would probably not choose to book here again .

We had breakfast at Kettners before heading out for a fun Sunday at the zoo. The eggs benedict were brilliant and the kedgeree was flavorful and aromatic. Aside from great, welcoming service, any pictures will show that the decor is also rather spectacular.

I love the place. The food is delicious with very good vegetarian options. The service is excellent and you feel like in Soho House without the fee. My girlfriend and I celebrated Women’s Day that month and we couldn’t have picked a better place for it. Highly recommended for drinks and dinner.

We have been to Kettners several times, but this was the first time since the refurbishment and takeover by Soho House. Four of us were looking forward to a relaxed and pleasant evening. Sadly, the noise from the restaraunt’s adjacent and overpacked bar and neighbouring diners (the tables are far too close) made conversation impossible, it was even impossible to hear the waiter trying to explain the menu. It was horrendous.

Siamo stati al Kettner’s per un long we in città, nel cuore di Soho, anche se non è il mio quartiere preferito. Infatti nel cuore della notte siamo stati svegliati da musica altissima dalla strada. Il design e’ un po’ pesante ma curato, con tanti dettagli ed oggettistica vintage.

Recently refurbished but in keeping with the old french brasserie style, a gorgeous setting for a special evening supper to celebrate our friends forthcoming wedding, with girls. Excellent service, delicious wine and food, lovely candlelit ambience. Good value at £52/ head for two courses, a bottle of cremant, petit fours and coffees. The staff very sweetly added ‘congratulations’ message in chocolate on our petit fours.

Came here for Sunday lunch with friends. As a vegetarian it was great to be able to have the Sunday Roast! The three courses were very reasonably priced but the wine list is an absolute rip off! Why do these places spoil things with extortionate wine list prices?

I have no kind words to say. We have been visiting Kettners for a few years, and after the renovation we thought it would be the perfect place to visit for an afternoon tea for my sisters birthday. To describe it as awful doesnt cut it. Its horrible. From the inprofessional staff to the subpar food...dont waste your money. There is no professionalism or caring service in this place anymore sadly. In an empty restaurant it took us 25 minutes to pay the bill since receiving it, and the waitress didnt even care to ask why we left 80% of our afternoon tea spread. Horrid and touristy place now, very sad. The afternoon tea price makes sense now for £30pp -its so underhwelming and tastes of nothing. If i wanted a tattooed waitress ignoring me then i would go to wetherspoons. Horrible

Didn't eat here but propped up the bar with my son and two nephews. Great cocktails and atmosphere but £££! for an "out of towner" but full of london's finest

We had friends visiting from Canada and wanted something a bit traditional with a bar to meet in beforehand and thought of Kettners.

Amazing place, really great decor. The menu was varied and really tasty. The bar area looked great. The service started off well, but once we had finished our main courses, we were totally ignored. We were unable to catch anyone's eye. We had to wait ages and then had to call someone over to get our bill, then when we did, waited ages again to pay. Luckily we were not in a massive hurry and in a nice place, but to be totally ignored is not great.

It’s a very nice place. Beautiful room. And the service is fine. But the food isn’t good. They should be able to do a decent burger. But this was not a fresh burger at all. Dried out. Tasted like a box burger from Iceland. I thought this place was now owned by Soho House?! Avoid.

I can't get enough of this place since it's refurb. We prefer the Champagne bar which is cosy and colonial in style. The hostesses are always full of smiles and have superb memories, remembering your face and usual drink order!

This place is such a lovely. The food is amazing and staff are really helpful and friendly. Will be back soon.

Wandering around on Valentine's evening looking for a restaurant in London's Soho, west end without a reservation is not the smartest thing to do. However, sometimes "unplanned" turns out to be a great evening, such as finding Kettner's.

Great restaurant in Soho. Very buzzy room. Food quality excellent. My husband thinks the steak tartare the best in London. Service fantastic. Recommended.

We went on a Wednesday Evening. Old world chrm, with lovely live pianist and food to die for. Our waiter also deserves a mention, he was fantastic, with the wine and his service. Definitely makes our top 5 in the world of this type.

The four of us enjoyed a very pleasant pre-show meal. The theatre menu provided excellent fare and value for money. Pleasant, attentive service and convivial atmosphere ensured that we will certainly consider dining here again next time we are in town.

My partner and myself had a delicious Champagne Afternoon Tea here. Fabulous venue, very professional and friendly staff. The food was delicious. Would highy recommend.

Mi novia y yo fuimos a celebrar nuestro aniversario que cumplía todos los requisitos. La decoración en el bar y el restaurante era excelente, mientras que la comida y los camareros / camareras coincidían con esto.

Kettner era uno de nuestros refugios habituales antes de la remodelación. Caminando en Soho, pensamos en nuestras muchas visitas y llamamos. Nos llevaron a una mesa de la esquina en el comedor principal. El edificio, el interior y el menú eran como recordábamos, ¡solo que mejor!

We booked several months in advance expecting a lovely afternoon in one of Soho's premier restaurants.

Starter: Crab drowned by two overly adorned sweet and discordant sauces, main:soggy pastry on the en croute, pudd: good, non-generous, apple souffle with an uncommonly sharp yet fatty creme fraiche that didn't partner well with light souffle. Sadly a better eating experience when it was Pizza Express years ago.

It was great Ambiance and nice food. Definitely upscale and little on the expensive side. Their Hand pressed juices were great.

A pleasant old-line establishment that has been modernized. The menu is varied, and the food is nicely prepared.

This was a late, light breakfast for me. I opted for a mocha, which was excellent. And the blinis with scrambled eggs and cream and caviar. It was very good.

What a lovely way to start the evening. We thoroughly enjoyed the 3 course NYE set dinner, washed down with some suitable bubbles and wine.

Stayed here for one night, booked the Tiny room which was anything but! Beautiful room, all needs catered for, sumptuous. Staff were professional, courteous and approachable. Had the breakfast which was fabulous, I had the full english, small version, which was delicious, husband had porridge which he said was great. Would highly recommend this as a place to stay, so central to all the sights.Will definitely be visiting again.

We always breakfast in London on New Years Eve morning this year we chose Kettners hoping for a touch of luxury. The decor was beautiful...promising so far! The welcome was lack lustre, no offer to take our coats, waiters were so disinterested and uninterested chatting amongst themselves. Eggs Benedict was superb but pastries were served without accompaniments and I needed to ask for them twice. When the bill arrived it was incorrect. Decor and food were a solid 8/10 but service dropped it down to a 5/10 personally I would not recommend.

Greeted by extremely friendly staff and enjoyed Champagne cocktails in the bar before our lunch.

We’ve visited here many times since Kettner’s re-opened. The ambience in both bars and in the restaurant is lovely and we are pleased that the new owners decided to keep the feel of the place reminiscent of its long tradition and history. Both bars offer fantastic drinks at reasonable prices (it is London, mind!). A choice of complimentary small plates with every bottle of house champagne in the Champagne Bar are a nice touch. The Piano Bar has a cozy feel to it when the pianist is in and it’s never over-crowded.

We had the pre-theatre dinner which was not too impressive. The surrundings are Nice, but it was a very busy and crowded Place which we did not find attractive. A very lively Place so we were not able to talk to eachother so we left as soon as we had eaten. The restroom was situated in the basement and was very tricky to find. The location is Perfect for a meal before or after the theatre.

My wife wanted to eat here as she had eaten here years ago, arrived at 19 00 and it was packed and we were shown to our table, the restaurant then partially emptied with the pre theatre dinner crowd leaving. It must be good value. We had the bites to start which were generous, followed by smoked leeks and steak tartare then on to salmon en croute, both very good. The room was lovely and the service very professional. I think its part of Soho house and has rooms upstairs.

Firstly what a lovely place and atmosphere- excellent work on the redesign of this iconic London venue.

We went for afternoon tea on Saturday. Given that the price wasn’t much more than I’d pay here in Nottingham, I was worried that it would be a bit basic. Bit what a fabulous surprise. The decor and lighting gave the place a fabulous at,sphere - it felt as though we had stepped back 100 years, to the 20s, I almost expected to see ladies in tea dresses, cloche hats and pearls. The food was excellent and presented beautifully, as was the table. The service was excellent, friendly but professional, the staff were well dressed. All in all, it was just perfect and I would recommend it to anyone.

I went for lunch to catchup with a friend. Unfortunetly she was late but the staff were very nice about it and said not too worry. Everyone was very pleasant on arrival. We ordered a starter and a main meal. The starters were quite filling and we asked if we could have a 10 minute break before our main but were told no we could have two minutes. Our main arrived. My chicken had a artichioke dish with it. It was probably it was inedible and tasted and looked like it was days old. We advised the waitress. When we received the bill it was not charged for which is good. However the best is yet to come. As we literally put our knife and forks down as we finished the meal one of the staff came up and announced our two hours were up, took our drinks and insisted we followed him to the bar. It was possible the worst service I have ever had. I thought he was the sommelier however was advised later he was the floor manager for the day. He gets the vote for the most rude person in the restaurant. The staff serving in the main bar area were a delight and made up for his behaviour. He should learn a lesson from his colleagues. To add the woes we discovered that we were being asked to give up our table for a group having afternoon tea but the next table who arrived before me had there table for three and half hours. If you are going to impose rules then they should treat everyone fairly.

Tuvimos una comida fabulosa en Kettners. Anteriormente había comido más casualmente en el bar adyacente, pero esta vez optamos por el restaurante principal. El comedor tiene elegancia y brillo y se veía particularmente hermoso, todo cubierto para Navidad. La comida era excelente y el servicio de nuestro carismático camarero eficiente y divertido.

Estuvimos aquí para una cena previa al teatro y comimos del menú del teatro. Era la primera vez que regresaba a Kettners desde que fue adquirida por Soho House. El edificio ha sido bellamente restaurado y tiene mucho ambiente. El personal era eficiente y amable. Sin embargo, la comida era sólo promedio. Tuve bourguignon de carne, que estaba bien, pero no es genial. Mi compañero tenía plaice goujons, el pescado era bastante bueno pero las papas estaban secas y duras. El menú del pre teatro es muy bueno, no sé si la comida del menú principal es mejor, pero me decepcionaría si hubiera pagado más y obtuviera comida de una calidad similar.

Mi bar favorito en Londres. Se siente exclusivo como un bar de miembros, pero es accesible para todos. Gran servicio, ambiente brillante y la reforma es fantástica, bellamente ejecutada. Una visita obligada para una copa de Champers o un cóctel. ¡Pero, por favor, Kettners recupera Champagne en tu menú de hora feliz! ! Graciaaas : )

Good value brasserie style French food in a nice central setting with lots of servers around but despit that really quite disappointing service. Half the people serving seem to be more interested in chatting and posing than serving and the other half seem rushed off their feet at the weekend. Nevertheless a good central location and generally good food - convenient but not exceptional.

Used opentable to book wife’s bday and I explicitly stated “Special Request / Special Event/ Bday - one would think they could bring something for her? Sorry, the correct answer is no.

Lovely setting. Great welcome. In fact the standard of service is very high. Softly lit dining room with candles adding a bit of wow. Cheese gougere were really good. Ruinart Blanc de Blanc really delicious (as always). I really enjoyed my mushrooms on toast with a duck egg yolk and my daughter polished off her steak tartar with gusto. Raw beetroot cleverly served to look like steak tartar promised more than it delivered. The boss said it was a bit mushy. My Onglet with brilliant rich hollandaise was just right. As was the Monkfish with Spinach Veloute but the Sea Trout was a bit overwhelmed by it’s sauce. Green salad very varied and excellent. Puddings good

Went to Kettners for an affordable Afternoon tea with my daughter. Priced at 30 pounds (22 without champagne) we where happiliy surpriced with the great meal, the "vintage" setting and very friendly staff. I can recommend this centrally located hotel.

Wife and I booked for a Sunday lunch (1600hrs) after comparing to other restaurants in the vicinity of the Palace Theatre and found the location to be perfect as we were eating between theatre performances. Initially impressed with the restaurant decor and setting, was seated at a nice table and given menus. Ordered drinks (glass of wine and a draught beer) and only then informed there was no roast beef (alternatives being chicken, salmon or vegetarian) rather disappointing as it was a Sunday lunch focused menu (1200-1800hrs). Wife reluctantly decided on a burger instead of her anticipated roast beef Sunday lunch. Service then arrived back and informed us that draught beer was not available. We had figured in advance that the final bill would be around £80/£85 including the 12.5% service charge and we discussed that even though we are more than happy to pay for a good meal we just wouldn't be prepared to pay that amount for food that hadn't attracted us to the restaurant in the first place. Honestly surprised to find that the roast beef would be not be available during a Sunday lunch service. Time was getting on at this point and we ended up at an equally underwhelming fast food restaurant.

First time here since the revamp.

To be fair the food was okay. The service was exemplary. But the noise! Nothing the management can do about it, obviously. It’s simply this belief that you should be enjoying the place if you have to shout to be heard (or possibly not heard) and to try to work out if you should nod your head, shake your head, frown or smile in response to your dining partners possibly sparkling conversations. Perhaps I’m getting old and boring.............No, not really. I suppose it is how Londoners like to live. All that hustle and bustle is a drug. One wonders how these diners feel when they wake up in the middle of the night and they are surrounded by silence. Do they panic? Do they wake up their partner and start having a loud conversation until they fall asleep again?

Lovely atmosphere, wine and service and in a relax and upmarket setting.Nothing nicer than listening to their live piano player to start your weekend. Our favourite bar in London.

Just returned from miserable dinner experience. Ambience is great. Wine was good. Food was borderline mediocre. Pork chop was almost all fat. Creamed spinach had too much salt. Chips were barely edible being over-cooked. And the service!!! Waiter gave us dessert menu, but didn't return for 20 minutes. We rejected dessert and asked for bill. He could be seen clearing table, chatting to waitress, but no bill. When it did arrive, it took him 30 -- yes 30 minutes -- to return for payment. Get rid of Soho House management and bring back the old Kettners. We will not be returning, and I would not advise anyone else to experience this mediocrity of a restaurant.

After visiting the Champagne bar at Kettner’s in September and really enjoying our visit we decided to book a table to celebrate my son’s 18th Birthday. I emailed the hotel well in advance to book a table for 6 and order a suprise Birthday cake for my son. Vlidimar the reservations manager reassured me our visit would be a very memorable occasion. And this was true but for all the wrong reasons. On arrival the bar was very busy no tables available and none reserved, it’s friday night in Soho, so no chance of going anywhere else and finding suitable space for 6. We were told our table would be ready in 5 minutes, the table offered was two small bar tables in a long row, so tight to the bar that it was uncomfortable, not what I had visioned for celebrating an 18th Birthday. The only other table was in a corner again not suitable but with no other choice we had to make do. Eventually after about 30 minutes a suitable space became available and Jody who was very accommodating moved us to this space.

We went as a five for a birthday supper at Kettners to see how she looks after the Soho House makeover. Whilst some of the original grandeur of the main dining room has been retained, other areas seem to have ended up being very “standard soho house” which is a bit of a shame.

All of the staff were trying to give us a pleasant experience but they were so stressed and chaotic and were clearly having a bad day. The 35 min delay in getting a table and general chaos made this celebratory meal quite stressful.

Took a Columbian friend of mine with my husband to Kettnrrs on Saturday evening. We had a wonderful time in the champagne bar and we sat down to dine at a 6pm sitting. The table we were given was superb and the staff were amazing. The service was the best I have had for many years in a restaurant. The food was delicious and we had a marvellous time. I would recommend this place to anyone who would like top food and a great ambience for a really super evening. 10 out of 10. Well done Kettnrrs.

First time here and was looking forward to it. Restaurant look amazing and had a really good atmosphere.

This was the first time we’d been to Kettner’s since its revamp. It’s still excellent. We went at Sunday lunchtime, although you don’t have to have the Sunday lunch. I did; my wife didn’t. Lovely surroundings in the heart of Soho. The food is both very well presented and very well cooked. My chicken was excellent. Very good wine list with a lot of choice. Service was speedy but we were never hurried. It’s a comfortable choice for an excellent and consistent meal. We still love it.

Arranged this little surprise for a friend a few months ago, the staff at Ketners were so helpful with organising a reserved area in the Champagne bar to start with and then moving through to the restaurant later. As we were a large group of ten so we had to go for one of the set menus, this was to problem as the choices suited all, even catering for the Vegan amount us, The food was of course excellent!

I’ve been visiting Kettners often over the last 25 years. Since becoming a Hotel as part of the Soho House Group, it’s really upped its game and I really enjoyed the last visit here on Saturday 1st September 2018. The food menu choice was excellent and well executed. I had the fillet of beef.

A friend and I stumbled upon this little restaurant and we decided to give it a try. The food was absolutely amazing and the service exceptional. We were served my Francesca and Ewan who gave us great dish recommendations.

I came here with my partner jeans baseball cap and was treated like a lord.

Great Service, romantic ambiance in a terrific soho neighborhood! The food was exceptional and prices were remarkebly reasonable for the quality and service!
