I was quite disappointed with the food I received from Uber Eats. Upon tasting it, I found it to be excessively salty and not representative of what I expected from biryani. I contacted the restaurant to express my concerns, and they offered a complimentary meal for my next order. However, I explained that I needed a resolution for my current meal. The receptionist mentioned she would escalate my call to the manager and chef, but unfortunately, I was put on hold and the call was disconnected. This experience has left me feeling very dissatisfied with the quality of the food.

A friend asked if we had eaten at the Kerela Hut in Northampton, knowing that we are big fans of Southern Indian food, and we had not. On Sunday we had tickets for a show in Northampton, we are very rare visitors to town, so decided to eat at the Kerela Hut pre show. The restaurant is on the busy Wellingborough Road, luckily we parked right outside, and was pleasantly surprised to find that inside it was busy to. New places and new menus can sometimes be a little problematic. However the staff were friendly, understanding and best of all patient. We took some advice and ordered three dishes that we would share. We ordered a paneer & potato dosa, great flavour and not oily, that came with a couple of spicy warm curries plus a couple of cold dips. We also ordered a vegetable biryani, divine rice, cooked to perfection, that was stunning. And lastly a Kerela Hut special chicken curry. This is made with, it says, grandmas special recipe. All I want to say here is, that grandma really did put something very together here. This is not a fancy place for fine dining. But it is a place to eat and really enjoy great Southern Indian cuisine. If you are in the area its well worth calling in.

As someone from Kerala, I had one of the best Kerala food experience in UK from Kerala Hut Northhampton. I do need to mention about Muhsin, who was absolutely amazing, not only he was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu he went above and beyond in helping me out with a personal request which he didn't have to. As an Hotelier, I strongly believe people makes the biggest difference and Muhsin is definitely one of the people who makes that difference. Thank you so much for the amazing food and impeccable service.

had a takeaway from here on monday 27/11/23, we ordered 2 chicken dun biryanis. god only knows what they sent us; it was cold white rice, lots of chicken bones, a pot of possibly mayonnaise and a small pot of possibly chutney. this is probably the worst meal i have ever had the misfortune to be charged £20 for! there was no vegetable curry, normally a staple of biryanis. we ordered through just eat and it was delivered by ubereats, are these the same company now? the review has 1 star because it wont let me give no stars, truly an embarrassing meal, fit only for the bin, which is where 90% of it ended up!

Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere at this very authentic restaurant. The vegetable curry was very tasty as were the chicken dishes. Lovely rice and bread all washed down with some Kingfisher lager. This restaurant has a different feel to it from your average Indian restaurant. It’s very popular with people who know and appreciate dishes from Southern India. Friendly, hardworking staff and a genuine, local atmosphere. Definitely somewhere we will come to again.

Went there with a friend last Wednesday for the first time and absolutely loved this relaxed little place! The chicken curry was ever so tasty, the dosa & sambhar beautiful and the mango juice was made with fresh fruit, yum! Service was superfriendly and I can't wait to return and try other dishes, all of which seemed very reasonably priced.

Four of us went on recommendation from a friend, my wife and I had been to Kerela so it was interesting to see if the food was authentic Kerelan food or tailored to English tastes and I can gladly report the food was authentic. The difference to standard Indian restaurant food is that the Kerelan dishes were not tailored to Enhlish tastes andi is fragrant and lightly spiced with a strong influence of coconut milk. The chicken is cooked authenticly on the bone but you can request boneless if that is your liking, many before dishes as the cow is not held sacred in the Christian state of kerela however my personally preference is lamb or mutton but others may think different. Do try the stuffed dosa served with sambar and the paratha bread which is so light and flavoursome. Prices are very reasonable bearing in mind this is a rustic redtaurant rather than fine dine, my only gripe would be there was no draught cobra beer available however this restaurant is a must try.

Went with my family recently. This is the best Indian authentic restaurant I have been to around Northampton. I come from an Indian background and you can take from me they serve fresh and tasty food. Every dish we ordered was made to taste different as most dishes you have in other restaurants they use the same type base of sauce and add other ingredients in but this one was amazing taste of food. The service was first class, not over attentive just right, made us feel welcome at all times. My kids are normally fussy eaters but they loved the starter Tikka masala and they loved it so much we were able to order as a main dish as well. This is now our favourite Indian restaurant now. We moved from Southall, London which has a big Asian presence 6 years ago this is the best Indian restaurant in our opinion.
