We tried to visit the restaurant for dinner on Monday 1st May, the site said it opened at 6pm for dinner. We got there just after 6pm, it was closed with no sign of life but the website said its open. We tried to call them several times but the line was dead. If the restaurant is permanently closed they need to update the website to reflect this. I went onto the site while we stood outside of it, and it let me make a reservation for the same day and same time we were there despite it being closed! We drove past the restaurant later that night and it was still closed! Very disappointing indeed.

Getting decent south Indian food is so difficult in Walthamstow. Tonight my takeaway of choice awoke happy memories of traveling in south India and living in Tooting, one of London's hotspots for southern Indian cuisine. KeraSpice in Leytonstone is one of the best India takeaways I have had in a long time. We got a dosa that took me back to Mysore. We got a yellow mung bean curry that evoked memories of roadtrips in Himachal Pradesh. Amazing fish curry too. They do brown rice which is good for the health conscious! They are quick. KeraSpice, you are doing something that very few others do in this part of London. Keep doing what you are doing.

I travel a lot and I was back in town after few months. So decided to pop back in to Keraspice, th food here always amazes me. I had the beautiful Uttappam and Wada. If you haven't been here then honestly you are missing something. The best part is they do home deliveries.

Tried this for a delivery for the first time this evening. Placed order and website said delivery would take 45 minutes. Waited over an hour before I called to check on progress of the food. Quoted the order number and they couldn’t respond and confirm what had happened with my order until I gave my post code. In the end was told it would be another 10 minutes, no apology for the delay just a claim that they were busy. Waited another 20 minutes before I called again. Spoke to a different member of staff who again could find the order until I gave him my name. He said it should have arrived. When I told him it hadn’t he said he would phone the driver and call me back. Needless to say I didn’t get a call back.10 minutes later the food arrived and what a disappointment. Tasteless and uninspiring, nothing particularly southern Indian or Keralen in the flavours and a soon, half cold uninspiring garlic naan. I don’t know how they survive with all the great quality Indian restaurants in the area. I will not be using them again.

First visit and very pleasantly surprised. Nothing'normal' on the menu other than tandoori or Biriani. Varied and interesting menu, spicy means up to Madras hot but different. All 3 of our dishes were good and my kera chicken kondattam was brilliant. We started with (I think) a spring masala dosa which was wonderful The chef came out to speak to us and his enthusiasm for the food was obvious. Will definitely go back soon, a delight

This inexpensive restaurant serves amazingly good South Indian food which is the best I have eaten anywhere. Don’t expect the usual BIR menu, but definitely give it a try. We are hooked. You can select from several delicious snacks as Starters or sharers. The Mains dishes are meat or veg ‘curries’ ranging from wet to dry and can be accompanied with rice or speciality breads. The menu can be hard to understand till you get used to it, so below is a small example. Our favourite starters are (sharing) - Mini Dosa, Onion fritters, Idli (rice sponges), Wada (savoury doughnuts), Spiced fried fish. Our favourite Mains (sharing) - Dry Fried lamb, Lamb Curry and Sambar with Pillou Rice and Spiral Paratha. Biriyani. Sometimes it’s worth waiting for your food as the expert Chef lovingly prepares it for you. Good friendly service and epicurean delights make up for the basic exterior and interior décor of this restaurant. There are many local pubs nearby if you want atmosphere at some point or just stay and enjoy this fine dining. This place and its staff are very much underrated.

Dosa and poppadoms were fine. That's why this isn't a one star review. The chilli paneer and egg curry were terrible. Sweet sickly Pan Asian taste (not great for diabetes, and nothing like south Indian food). Virtually identical curry base used. We actually threw away the rest as it became unbearable (this is an unheard of event). Finally, 2 eggs (likely poor quality looking at the pale yokes) was tight. You need to massively up your game guys, the menu looked amazing so not impressed.

We were not enthusiastic about the Lamb Tikka Bites that we ordered as started but Chicken Biryani and Kappad Chicken Curry with freshly baked Roti Bread were amazing. This restaurant offers South Indian cuisine so you can find dishes different from others Indian restaurants. Probably the restaurant needs more care but the owner was very friendly and the menu cheap. I want recommend this restaurant if you like taste traditional dishes.

I ordered a takeaway from this restaurant. The Crab Masala was basically just an onion based curry with no flavour whatsover and it was extremely unpleasant. Also ordered a Lamb curry, and it wasnt even Lamb. It was clearly Mutton as the different in texture and taste is obvious. Again the sauce for this curry was onion based with very little flavour and taste. It makes me wonder how this restaurant has received good reviews. But I had high hopes but shall not be ordering again!
