Spice Gaff in Waltham Forest

I dropped in here while local due to work, the staff were very welcoming and the food served quickly, warm and very tasty

Food 1.5 hours late. they forgot two items and left everything covered in bright red oil. The restaurant doesn't have the correct number anywhere so is impossible to contact

Good food BUT butter chicken was the worst one. It didn't taste like butter chicken. It tastec like coconut and sugar and some pieces of chicken. But the tandoori and biryani were amazing.

The naan bread as well as onion bhajis were fantastic. But the rice used for the biryani didn't taste well, it tasted like they have used easy cook biryani rice rather than property biryani as well as I didn't receive the vegetable curry.

Put the order back by 30 minutes on a Tuesday evening- ordered at half 7 and disnt arrive until 8.45 but....once it arrived it as very tasty

Ordered my food and received a phone call nearly three hours later to say it is five minutes away, customer service at Just Eat poor and was unable to reach restaurant number provided by Just Eat

The curry was quality and service exceptional

Good food and delivery, but none of the phone numbers work. Just Eat confirmed the order an hour later than I ordered it (ordered for 00:30, Just Eat confirmed 01:30). Couldn't contact to check with the restaurant, sent a text but no reply. Luckily the food arrived, but I was in the dark until it did.

It was hard to contact the restaurant as they only have a mobile number. However, food was superb and tasted great. downside was the delivery time as they came almost an hour later than expected even though more time was added to expected delivery time.

waited an hour and twenty minutes for our food to arrive cold. tried to call the restaurant several times to no answer, then after re heating the food, the food is awful, 6 bits of tough chicken in the chicken korma, flavourless peshwari naan and inedible king prawn butterfly, incredibly greasy and way too much soggy batter. avoid at all costs.

The food was quite nice although one of the dishes only had a few small pieces of chicken in it. Aside from that everything was great, and the naan was really nice. The order was about 10-15 mins late but the delivery person apologised and was really nice about it so we weren't bothered really. Would order again!

Accepted takeaway order, than 20mins later was told the order had been cancelled without giving a reason. Rude and unhelpful. Avoid.

My meal arrived late and I was made to leave my flat to meet the delivery guy who had trouble/concerns about gaining entry into the block. He was polite also apologetic. The food was hot and enjoyable and the portions were reasonable.

Best curry I've had in a long time..

We have ordered many times before. The take away always comes with a salad and a pot of yogurt sauce. This time received extra papadoms and Bottle of Coke ! Thank You

It was nice and really hot and spicy like I requested. The staff were friendly and polite unlike some I have experienced! The lamb could have been nicer cuts with less grizzle which was what I found in the portion they served for me. But still I enjoyed it and would order there again

Received email saying it would be 20 minutes late. 20 minutes after that, still no food. Called to ask where it was and was asked to wait another 10 minutes. Asked to cancel and the restaurant refused. Jokes

While the food is good, it came almost an hour late and without much explanation in why aside from "we are busy". It's a shame as it was a good meal, but if you order from here - have a backup plan or be ready to wait

Lamb was very tough and grisely. The items were a lot small than they were before. Not as nice as usual. Dont think we would buy again sorry

Rogan josh portion was a bit small, and confusion with delivery time (50 mins was added to my time in error) was not handled well by staff on the phone who were impolite and difficult to understand. That said, food is largely very decent and I have ordered with them many times, usually it comes quicker than expected.

The food came 1 hour and 45 minutes late, and he offered no apology or discount. Then when I opened the food it was stone cold. By far the worst take away experience I've ever had. Would never even consider going back for free.

Awful experience. Over 2 hours for delivery. Restaurant doesn't answer their phone. Food ok but definitely wasn't worth the wait.

I waited for over 1 hour past the time they said they would deliver, then was told it would be 5 minutes for about 50 minutes. They refused to give me a refund and when the food did arrive (ordered at 18.45, received at 21.00) it was cold and not great. Won't order again.

Order took 1h45 to turn up. Spoke to restaurant twice. Second time they thought items were missing and they might have sent the wrong stuff (items were missing but not what they thought). They clearly had no idea what was going on. Popadoms were smashed to pieces and in a bag reeking of cigarette smoke. One dish and one chutney missing. Food was average in taste, not very flavoursome, too saccharine, too oily. Believe the other reviewers who have had bad experiences and don't bother with this restaurant.

Ordered from here previously and never had any problems. When we ordered from here last night we ordered over £30 worth of food, it took over an hour to arrive even though it's round the corner. When the food did eventually arrive one of the dishes were missing, when we contacted the restaurant they said they'll send it out & we didn't receive anything! Absolutely awful!

Their delivery time was horrendous! We ordered at 7.20pm and they didn't deliver until almost 10pm!!! They gave us no notice of when their order was coming either. We tried calling them multiple times but they just didn't answer. Even JustEat couldn't ring through to them. What terrible customer service!!! We ordered the butter chicken, lamb korma and chicken tikka masala and they all tasted the same! The sauce was puréed with coconut bits in them, which we thought was very strange. Never again!

Our food took 2 hours to arrive

I don't usually leave reviews, so here's a first as a result of major disappointment. Food was expected to come in 60 minutes when it is a 2 minute walk away. Despite this, it arrived 30 minutes later while I gave them 30+ unanswered calls. And they missed several items, where they again didn't answer my calls or JustEat's to rectify this. My butter chicken had no chicken - just a box of sauce that had curdled sugary milk? And the samosas/onion bhajis were oil filled, soggy and disgusting. DON'T order from here - there's plenty of other local Indian take outs that offer better food.

The Rice and Chana Masala were the only good thing. The vegetable curries were shrunk I've never seen such small Okra in my life (and i've cooked with it plenty of times, so I'm confused with how they did it) and the Samosas tasted funny and were undercooked and cold. Bad experience, nowhere near the quality of my usual place where the issues are the food being too spicy or too salty.

Food arrived cold and was mediocre. It came almost 2 hrs late. The restaurant would not pick up the phone despite calling over 5 times to inquire about the order. Won't be ordering again and will be requesting a refund.

Good food, pleasant to deal with when you phone. Would order again if they sorted out their delivery service: Originally quoted an hour, the restaurant then added 40 minutes onto that after my order had gone through, it wasn't a large order. Either their popularity is bringing them down by swamping them with too many orders, or they just really need to improve their delivery service, which is a shame as the food was nice.

Was not happy delivery was Over a hour late 😡 Had to call a few times to find out were food was. Was not offered any money off, food was not at they best rice was crunchy. and korma lacked flavour. All the rest was ok.

Took an hour and a half for the food to come. The onion bahjis were stale, overdone and rock hard. Chips were soggy and the rice was crisp. God knows how long the food has been sat in the kitchen. Never again.
