Service was good and the food was delicious but the one thing I was not satisfied with was the environment it was a bit dark and moody

went there yesterday and i had a good vibes over there, the food was great but the atmosphere was a bit dull, service was also good

yesterday i ordered combo breakfast from keralahut, OMG ! i never had this kind if breakfast in my life before , the sambar is like a water with no vegetables, i cant identify what kind of curry is that, it is a waste of money .. poori , dosa , idli nothing is good , ..👎🏻

I had the pleasure of dining at kerala hut yesterday night, and it was an unforgettable experience. The staff's friendliness and warmth really made this facility stand out. We felt very welcome because of the sincere smiles and careful treatment we received as soon as we entered. especially shereena, she was very friendly and she knows what she is doing, and i felt like she was the most friendliest and With her patience and great suggestions, the enthusiastic and informed waitresses walked us through the menu. They made sure our glasses were never empty and that every meal arrived at the ideal temperature since they were attentive without being obtrusive. but today we went there again to dine but unfortunately she was not there.The outstanding service was exquisitely matched by the restaurant's atmosphere. The staff's pride in providing a flawless dining experience was evident. Kerala Hut is the place to go if you want to eat real mallu food.

I recently went to Kerala Hut for the first time, and although the food was good, what really impressed me was the overall experience and the service. The personnel constantly made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, and they were very polite and attentive. Another pleasure was the ambiance of the eatery. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Our comfort and peace of mind were greatly enhanced by the high standards of hygiene and cleanliness. The cuisine wasn't particularly noteworthy, but it wasn't awful either. While some dishes needed a little more finesse, others were tasty.

Food was amazing and amazing atmosphere

I was extremely disappointed with the cleanliness of the washroom during my visit. The washbasin was full of spit and waste, and the toilet was in an equally unhygienic condition. To make matters worse, both soap dispensers were empty. As customers, we pay not just for the food but also for the overall experience, including the ambiance and facilities. It’s unacceptable for such basic hygiene standards to be neglected. This made it difficult to enjoy the meal, as the untidy atmosphere left a lasting negative impression. Unfortunately, I have to give zero stars for the atmosphere.

So i had a dinner last week and i ordered a kappa biriyani and it was very good and talking about the service, I noticed that all the service members had a smile on their face and that made me feel right at home, amnesties were good, washrooms all clean. So i can pretty much say that it’s a good spot

I recently tried the Kappa Biriyani and Pazhampori with Beef, and it was a huge letdown. The Kappa Biriyani tasted like a basic tomato curry mixed with tapioca—completely lacking in depth and the traditional flavors you’d expect from this dish. The texture was off too, making it feel more like a rushed mishmash than a proper preparation. The Pazhampori with Beef was equally disappointing. The beef accompaniment felt like the same bland tomato curry used for the biriyani, with no unique flavor or spice to complement the sweetness of the banana fritters. The combination was poorly executed, leaving an unappetizing aftertaste. Overall, both dishes were far below expectations. If you’re looking for authentic and flavorful versions of these classics, I’d recommend exploring other options. This was a disappointing experience!

It was our anniversary on that day . So I decided to take my friends out for a kerala traditional food experience. So I discovered this place kerala hut. It was almost 10pm the time we reach the place so had to order all the food at one go. But the service was not as we expected as they were rushing to close the place and they started to bring food out one at a time that was very disappointing on the first place had to wait for sometime then they would bring one more item. As we expected them to bring all the food at once as it was our main course ,we didn't order any starter. We had the food and left the place I paid 129 pound for all the food that was served. So we do expect some quality. As one of my friend felt very sick after almost an hour she was very sick and had to go to toilet several times. After that my wife felt sick, she was sick all night and have been vomiting and she got diarrhea least 7 to 9 times. Even I got diarrhea ,even though my order was completely different than my friends I had to stay awake all night to look after my wife's health I want to say one thing to you guys, just make sure you are serving safe food for the people it's not about the money it's about hygiene and quality that need to be there had a very bad experience going here, on my wedding anniversary day.

I’m really disappointed to have to leave this review, especially since my husband and I had chosen Kerala Hut to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were excited to try the food, but unfortunately, the experience was nothing short of terrible. After eating there, I and several of my friends began suffering from severe food poisoning. We experienced vomiting and diarrhea multiple times throughout the night—at least 9 times for me alone. It was a distressing and exhausting ordeal, and my friends faced the same situation. This raises serious concerns about the hygiene and food safety practices at this restaurant. A celebration turned into a nightmare, and we ended up spending the night in discomfort and pain instead of enjoying the occasion.

Those who love kerala traditional food,You would better come to this restaurant. It is one the best kerala restaurant's in luton. Overall i had a great experience. The food, the customer service is soo good.

We've been to this restaurant more than 5 times and had a good experience with them, the food was amazing that time. But recently we felt the quality is coming to an average. We had both biryani last time and was very much less than our expectation. Chicken 65 is delicious and no argument for that. But the biryani needs to improve. The staff are often generous and nice.

I have visited this restaurant many times and the one thing I am very much impressed is their variety of authentic south Indian dishes. I am great fan of "Palkappa" and fish curry, which I have every time I visit, it's a must try..., last time me and friends had chicken lollipop, beef fry, fish tawa fry, kizhi porotta, Ammachi choru, kalyanachiru and it was a great treat for us, which never experienced in any other restaurants in UK...

Untrained staff, don’t know how to operate POs and it’s took her 20 min to enter and confirm the order .Slow and bad service it’s took 45 min to server 3 cup tea , they server main course first without serving water and Tea in the middle of having main course. Have placed the order for chicken Biryani , Chicken 65 which was burnt ( seen after reaching home ) . Overall very much disappointed with the service and food. Not recommended.

Ordered pothichoru through ubereats on September 25th. The rice was old and was bad. Never going to order again. It’s a 50-50 chance that you get good food from Kerala hut. My very first experience was bad, so I didn’t go there for a long time. After that it was fine till the pothichoru thing.

Good food taste and service, I am visiting for four days for entire food breakfast,lunch and dinner. Food was served by teju and she was polite and caringly serving food. Now by itself I done my breakfast.

I can't get enough of their breakfast - it's absolutely delicious! The vegan breakfast they serve for £8.99 is a must-try. The flavors are amazing, and the chatni they make is out of this world - it feels like we're transported to India with every bite. I had the pleasure of speaking with a lovely lady named Swetha, who I believe prepares the best breakfast in town. Their customer service during the day is outstanding, although I can't speak for the night. I highly recommend everyone to try their breakfast, especially the vegetarian options. It's a culinary experience you won't want to miss!

I've tried the unlimited breakfast buffet the dishes are really tasty and service is soo good. It felt like the perfect place for south Indian breakfast who would like to enjoy the food alot. I came to knew that they had made the unlimited breakfast buffet to be available all the week. Tejaswini the new buffet handler was doing really great.

Food was nice Toddy - it’s not the same like from India , Sweet and smell like Prosecco , I really suggest to get food for better Indian cuisine

If you want to eat rubbish, come to this restaurant. Firstly, the atmosphere is dirty and isn’t clean (stains everywhere). Constant insects and wasps around the seating area, I almost felt as If I was being bitten. It also took around 30 minutes since arrival to take our order. Next, one of the waiters came to our table and took all our utensils? We ordered some drinks to start us off but one of them didn’t even arrive. We ordered Chicken Biryani, Beef Roast & Parata & some sort of rice. Firstly, the beef roast was not cooked properly and tasted like pure plastic and the parata was from a freezer popped into a microwave & heated up. We sent the beef roast back and all they did was add some hot water to it to make it more appealing but the quality and taste were still the same. The poppadoms that came with the rice had some sort of white dust on them and looked like it wasn’t fried properly. We also didn’t have any utensils to eat our food and put them on our plates since the waiter took them when we first came. Finally, the missing drink we ordered at the beginning finally came. After speaking with one of the managers/staff member they took some of the costs off as the service was really bad.

We had an amazing dinner at kerala hut and the staff were fantastic, warm and welcoming. The food was impeccable, delicious and gorgeously presented. The music was fun and playful and the atmosphere was convivial and inviting. We will certainly be back to celebrate with them again! Nice place for having authentic Kerala cuisine

Worse biryani I ever had. Ordered collection over the phone today’s special which was chicken biryani, tawa fry and 2 other items I have asked instead of chicken, can I get lamb and prawn biryani in the special and offered extra money. After arriving on time had to wait another 15 minutes and found out they got my order wrong. I was given prawn and lamb biryani but not from the today’s special , no other special item was in there. Staff dnt even understand english upon asked. Keep shaking there head with a smile. Please do keep someone who can understand and know how to take order . Lamb biryani was good. But prawn biryani’s spice wasnt cooked properly. Can taste the raw taste of chili’s

I asked for a veg soup and specifically mentioned in the instructions that I'm vegetarian, but they still put egg in there. I'm not happy with this. Not gonna order again from here

Went to dine in for lunch. We've ordered Pothi biriyani, Pothi choor and kakka irachi. All were alright I would say. But the taste and quantity are not the same as Kerala Hut in Northampton. The Biriyani was good but full of ghee. The only disappointment I had was the pothi choor, it had less thoran, very less quantity of omelette (I'd say half egg or something like that). Kakka irachi was good but it lacked the flavour. Overall its neither great nor bad.

The food was amazing and construction was still going on but the vibes were immaculate.

It was a special occasion and I searched for a good south Indian restaurant  to Tantalize my taste buds and that's when I found this place KERALA HUT ,  I went hunting for this place when I learnt that they serve fresh palm toddy ( alcohol) , I cannot explain how deliciously addictive it is , I had an incredible dining experience at Kerala Hut! The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a cozy decor that transported me to the heart of Kerala. The service was Good , with friendly and attentive staff who made sure our every need was met (Abhilash & Jose) . But the real star of the show was the food - oh, the food! I indulged in the best of the day menu which includes so many delicacies that have left me wanting  for more ,  it was a flavor explosion! The variety of dishes, from the  podi chor ( way very yummy) to the kizhi parota to the chicken 65 , the prawns biryani to the chicken biryani everything was served on banana leaf,  you name it and you will get it,  the variety of food is tremendous and really very very impressive. The highlight for me was the Frog fry which I had for the very first time in my life and I would say I will go there many more times for this dish. Note: They are including many more items in their food menu like the famous kuzhi mandi for which they have dug a pit in the ground and brick lining is in progress Overall, Kerala Hut is owned and managed by this wonderful friendly Gentleman JAISMON and is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic, delicious South Indian cuisine. Chicken biriyani is a highly recommended item from the menu. Also we had pothichoru which was nice and presented very well and scrumptious. Been to the other kerala hut but here the taste is entirely different. Beef fry is vey tasty

Customer service was very poor. One of the staff offered a seat, but another staff member (a Tamil man) was rude and asked us to leave the given place. We waited 45 minutes for an order of *chatti choru*. The *chatti choru* was also the worst I've had, containing two pieces of chicken fry and curry with one portion of egg, *pulisheri*, *aviyal*, and *kadala curry*. If you can't serve something better, please don't offer it. It cost around £10. There were only two staff members at the counter and serving, and they were running all over the place. I believe the rude staff member was the Tamil man. More staff are needed here. Customer service is important. The toilet and washbasin were not tidy. If they kept the restaurant clean, the atmosphere and lighting would be good.

Regrettably, the service at Kerala Hut leaves much to be desired. Despite the lack of a crowd upon my arrival, the inattentiveness of the staff was glaringly apparent. I waited for a full 15 minutes at my table before anyone acknowledged my presence or provided a menu. It was only after I approached the cashier and requested assistance that my order was taken. Throughout the meal, the service continued to disappoint. At no point did any staff member check to see if I required anything further. When I needed to place an additional order, I had to once again leave my table and approach the cashier. This time, although the food was eventually brought to my table, part of my order was missing. Upon bringing this to their attention at the cash counter, it became clear that the person who had taken my order had failed to relay it to the kitchen. Suggestions for Improvement: To the management of Kerala Hut, it is imperative that your staff exhibit a greater sense of responsibility when attending to customers. Consider employing individuals who are genuinely passionate about their roles and committed to providing excellent service. The current level of service is not only disappointing but risks alienating your clientele, regardless of the quality of your food. In conclusion, while the food at Kerala Hut (Luton)is outstanding, the poor service significantly detracts from the overall dining experience. Improvements in this area are essential to ensure that customers leave with a favorable impression and a desire to return.
