Kensington in Milton Keynes

The Kensington is in a great location and features a solid menu! Took advantage of the burger and pint for £10 and it certainly delivered! Make sure you ask for burger of the month!

Kieran was fantastic. He was the only one seemingly working but he did a fab job, we were well catered for. I think he deserves a raise! (We're not affiliated with him!) But he was great.

Popped in twice for coffee while grandson at after school club.....hmmmm, Greene King so I'll be back for food. (Hope it's as good as The Ascott in Pinner!)

Had a fab meal here on Sunday. The new manager is an asset to this place - amazing customer service and running the whole place by himself and doing a great job too. Really hope he stays because it’s the best it’s been in years.

I came for a kebab at the stall next door, but there was no meat on the grill yet. I entered this place and I don't regret it. The food is very good, perfect with beer, which is also served. A large selection of dishes and drinks. Lots of space inside and outside. Even though my friend ran out of peppers, the staff came and suggested a substitute in the form of grilled, spicy tomatoes. I sincerely recommend it

My family & I use the Kensington often. We find the staff friendly, knowledgeable & all the staff have a “can do” attitude. We love the Friday night karaoke & regular theme nights to! We recommend this venue 100%

Couldn't say it was good, staff randomly shouting over to the drinkers who sat near the bar making the people who eat feel uneasy as it always sounded like something would kick off. Staff don't really controll any of their own behaviour and think they're a customer rather than an actual employee who should be providing a high quality service. Food was mediocre, was slightly burnt. Unfortunately the staff don't run the place it's the customers. A location that should be a family place is completely the opposite where you don't know if a fight will break out. Unprofessional that staff would be going out smoking with the customers.

Good food, when it finally arrived!!

We went for a family meal at the Kensington. The food was lovely and the service was absolutely fantastic. Big shout out to Jamie the GM your amazing and Cerys for her wonderful service. We will be back😄

Nice local boozer with polite and friendly staff. Parking gets busy during school times (next door) so you might struggle to park during that time. Gets packed out on a Saturday night.

Husband and I were in on Saturday (3/2/24) just by mistake we found this hidden gem. Had a few drinks while watching the football game, didn't order food, but definitely will next time. The bartender ( Penny I believe), she kept the drinks flowing while accommodating so many. Great place, will definitely return.

Visited this pub a couple of weeks ago for the first time in a while. I was very impressed with the customer service, we got served by a young lady called Becky. Best customer service I’ve received, very attentive and friendly, also great knowledge on the range of drinks offered. Exceeded my expectations!

Lovely staff and delicious food!

Really disappointing how this pub is now run! Used to be such a good pub, always nice food, friendly staff & a great atmosphere. Had so many fun nights here with all the regulars, 1 being my grandad. When the pub received a refurb, my grandad was the 1 to cut the ribbon! Now, you have to wait for an hour if not more for food (even when the pub is nearly empty) staff changes constantly & the place has lost that family feel. Really sad to be honest.

Starter and main very accurate I could eat it everyday if it was possible. Customer service very friendly. I regret for forgetting to give them a tip, so I’ll have to double it on my next visit. I’ll certainly be coming here once a month from now on.

It's a good pub to have a few drinks in

Visited on Saturday for a coffee. The young lady who made my coffee was obviously not very experienced coffee was luke warm and she wasn't very good at keeping the bar clear of glasses etc. Saying that the atmosphere in the bar was good lots of football enthusiasm liked it

A lovely pub which is ran brilliantly by Leigh and her team, The food is tasty and hits the spot every time and it's a great place to watch sport no matter what game or sporting event is on

Atmosphere here is fantastic. The karaoke is a good laugh. Leigh is brilliant and very accommodating.

Have always attended the pub since a young age and have loved the atmosphere in here. However I’d never eaten in there before till recently. My partner and I enjoyed our pub grub and the service we received was outstanding! Conner and Leigh are always so friendly and welcoming along with the rest of their lovely staff!

Great atmosphere and friendly staff, really enjoy the karaoke evenings here, shame they went down to fortnightly but I still always try to get there when they are on. Foods pretty decent too, tend to go for small plates but always enjoy.

Come with my family oftern, we always enjoy it here. Would definitely recomend

Amazing staff and a great place to watch the football

We will never go again went for a roast dinner & all stone cold, sausages was completely raw in the middle,bacon tasted of plastic. Very disappointing fair play we did have a refund but wouldn’t ever try again .

Fish & Chips over cooked and gammon and chips with over cooked egg and peas that were dry not great and we know that other green king pubs deliver far better quality of food

Tried this pub for the first time with my partner, had a few drinks in the bar first. Bar staff are fantastic, attentive and have great customer service skills. Went through for some food and ordered the burger, food was delivered in a reasonable time and tasted amazing. After food we headed back to the bar at had a laugh with Leigh the manager and Becky the team leader. Thank you ladies, see you again very soon

Let's start with the positives. I love the atmosphere, especially when there are major sporting events on, the big screen TV at one end of the bar can be seen from quite a distance which always helps. The food is good and pretty well priced given it is a pub and not a restaurant. The staff are friendly and there always seems to be a smile from them. Now to the downside. As someone that drank here for the first time in 1990 and has been a regular for over 25 years, I have noticed it going downhill, fast. The men's toilets always seem to have an issue, be it loose taps, out of commission soap dispensers or water all over the floor. I can't remember the last time everything worked. The big screen TV is all well and good, but when the speakers nearest to it don't work, there seems to be very little point in having any sound. Staffing levels seem to be all over the place. Never enough when you think it warrants it. An example can be shown on Sunday 13/08/23. Two football matches shown for the first round of Prem games. Brentford v Spurs and Chelsea v Liverpool. For the first match there seemed to be 2 members of staff available, despite only one of the teams having a decent following amongst people there. The second, a huge game where both teams are well supported, only had one staff member around and she was trying to do it all herself. If people are there to watch football, they don't want to be waiting 10 minutes for a drink. I'm not sure what the answer is, but something needs to change.

A great surprise for a non local, finding a really nice pub with good food and a great garden. The barmaid was a proper hard working lady, and the landlord was a gentleman. A great local asset.

The building needs some major repairs, the male toilet taps have been loose and leaking for over a year Now, and the soap dispenser have been taped up. I sink around £200 a week into this pub but I’m slowly distancing myself from there. I’ve told the three manager back about this issue but yeah I don’t think they mind paying the water bill or having low standards. Cheers

good friendly staff nice atmosphere

Very busy as it was under 21 Cup final. Therefore we had to wait a while for our food but with friends so the time didn't really matter.

We are happy with the service but the food and atmosphere is not good so we will not be coming back and they take a while with putting

Lunch on a Saturday. Not busy but we reserved a table away from the bar. Had lovely service from Betty. She came outside with us to look at tables and said we can sit any where.

The barman walked off to talk to his friend, leaving the bar unattended and me waiting to be served. Just generally disappointing service – I came here to relax after work with my nieces and instead I felt uncomfortable and like I was bothering the bartender for trying to order. Really unwelcoming, which is a shame. I know people can have off days so I’m not rating low because you never know!

Food is nice, eventually, but no one wants to wait an hour for a steak, come on now.

Pretty poor today. Food was just ok with many ingredients missing from the food we had. Three different wines that we chose were not available either. Food service took very long despite us being the only table ordering food. Tables had no complete sets of cutlery, empty or missing salt and sauces. New staff had no idea how to operate the till or what is on the menu. Please take a bit more pride in your staff training, your food prep and your service.

I am giving this place two stars as the food was good, however the actual experience was 1 star and here is why; - The first time I went with my mother, and sat outside. A lady showed up with four pugs, immediately let them off their leads, and they proceed to run around. Growled at my mother, and the woman just ignored it. The staff said nothing about the dogs off lead, even though it is stated that dogs are to be kept on lead. Two of the dogs also pooed near our table, and the woman did not do a thing or even notice. Great way to spend time at a resturant - The second time, my partner and I went with friends. Our friends received their food, and it took almost an hour for our food to arrive. From watching the staff and seeing one of the waitron's suddenly realize there was a backlog of food (as someone else had complained) and then suddenly the food was available, why did no one bother to keep up with the food? An hour for basic food is no acceptable. - During the second visit, it was also a bit annoying to see how what appeared to be regulars just pushed in front of the long bar lines and got service and no one said a word about it. Over all, the food was the only real good thing. It is evident that regulars get a pass on general manners (the dogs and people pushing in to very busy lines). I am not keen on ever returning to this type of issues.

My son and his mate came in here acouple weeks back for a drink and bite to eat and he recommended we go for lunch here. And to be honest he was right it's a nice place friendly staff and the food was lovely too. Shall come here more often

Awful experience. My son found used chewing gum at the bottom of his glass after drinking most of it - absolutely disgusting & I don't want to think what it could have contained. When I requested to speak to the manager about it, the barmaid said she would "get him" only to come back and say she is now apparently the duty manager. Not impressed as the manager decided to hide in the kitchen and not front what had happened. The management attitude obviously filters down to their staff who can't check if their glasses are clean. Worrying. Before all this the service was already bordering a joke. Despite booking a table for 5pm, we were told the chef had "gone on a break and will be back at 5.30". What chef goes on a break when there is a table booking! When the food came the barmaid said she "couldn't remember" which burger didn't have mayonnaise ..may want to train your barmaid about the importance of allergies. I don't usually leave reviews but felt compelled to warn potential customers about this shambolic place.
