Excellent fish and chips well cooked and friendly service everything was cooked fresh upon giving order

Really lovely fish and chips, cooked to order to very fresh. Restricted opening times mean you can’t always get food here, but it's well worth a visit when Kenny is open. We think that's Wednesday to Saturday evenings and Thursday to Saturday lunchtimes.

Called in on way back from Dawlish School for fish & chips. Wasn’t disappointed lovely friendly service and the best fish n chips! Lovely friendly service 😊 will try and call again soon!

Customer service was nice. There was hardly any batter on the cod though. Been a couple times here and last time the batter was a bit undercooked and quite soggy. Chips are good though!

Not open through out the week, unfortunately food not great. Chips very greasy, plaice tasted like mud. Cod was the better option, would reccommend Galleon Inn for eating out.

Regular visitors to this chippy. Kenny always friendly and chatty. Limted opening hours and choice. But Starcross is a small village. Relatively cheap, £10 will get you 2 fish and one large fries. Free parking outside, albeit only for 20 minutes. Public toilets in same complex. No seating, only take away. Don't think Kenny takes cards.

everything is cooked in the fryer with the fish, so nothing free from meat, was not very polite when asked about vegetarian or vegan options, did not seem interested. Why serve vegetable burgers then cook them with meat making them not suitable for vegetarians. chips okay for people who can eat them, some food takes 15 minutes to cook if its not something they usually serve. If you have any allergies not recommended as everything cooked together. got served two chips in a vegetable burger.

Kenny cooks the fish to order. The batter on the fish is perfection, it doesn't go soggy but remains nice and crispy and isn't too greasy. Similarly with the chips, they are not too greasy, excellent flavour and you always get some of those lovely little crispy pieces in there too! Kenny has a sense of humour that could offend the more delicate ones of society, but I find him to be amusing. Really worth a visit. Never disappointed.

I would use this fish and chip shop more but you can never rely on the opening times if he doesn't want to open he don't and always shuts early, so when it's a 10 minute journey there and 10 back just to find him shut it's just not worth the effort, the guy is very grumpy as well. But all the negs out the way his Fish and chips are second to none and well worth the money which is quite reasonable. If I'm passing and he is open I always stop.

Always visit Kennys when needing fish and chips in starcross. Food is always very good, usually have fish and chips, or scampi, which is always excellent. Kenny is always friendly to his customers

Kenny's fish and chips are excellent, as a local we depend on him for great tasting fish and chips and we get it too!. Service comes with a smile and conversation; the excellence of the fish is great thick and succulent , the burgers come dressed and are really good as is all of Kenny's produce. The Shop is centeralised by the station within easy reach for every one and there's parking too. A few steps to climb but I'm sure someone would help give Kenny your order it would be well worth it if needed.

Recientemente me he mudado de regreso a la zona y fueron probando todos los lugares para comer cerca. Kenny fue alrededor de la última vez que me quedé aquí, así que decidí probar de nuevo. He pedido y normal hamburguesa y una gran porción de chip cursi y cuando llegué a casa pronto de liberación que las patatas fritas no eran cocinar correctamente y que el queso en las patatas fritas eran verdes y moho. No recomendaría o ir aquí.

Volvimos de Torquay en el tren y tenía una pinta en el pub rápido al otro lado de la calle y luego me apetecía un aperitivo. El hombre estaba cerrando, pero estaba feliz de fuego para una cena de pescado para nosotros para compartir. Estaba delicioso. Lo recomendaría sin dudarlo.

We get our Fish and Chips from here often. Yep, it is the only takeaway in Starcross, but it is a good one! Portions are a good size and everything always tastes good. If your passing Stacross and need dinner, this is definately the place to get something!

Stopped in to get something quick on the way home from work, fish was mildly warm and greasy. Chips tasted like that had been re-cooked!Nasty tasting and made me feel ill.Also his attitude and customer service was appalling.... I wouldn't recommend Kenny's especially as I witnessed him have a go at the member of the public for parking in the lay by.....

We have had fish and chips from here many many times over the years and have always enjoyed them. We should have called in the other day instead of eating elsewhere which turned out to be atrocious!

Kenny's is local to me, but always the place to go for a first class fish and chip supper. Lovely crispy batter, proper chippy chips and lovely and hot. Tucked away in the shadow of the railway footbridge, with parking right outside. Try him!

We were starving. Nothing in the Spar took our fancy. The nearest Just Eat pizza shop couldn't get any food to us for an hour. So we decided to try our local chip shop.Well. We were truly impressed by the quality of the offerings at Kenny's (the Kenny in question is often to be seen sporting an interesting suit when frequenting the local British Legion, so we were slightly disappointed that he wasn't wearing it behind the counter, but hey, you can't have everything). For these prices, entertainment is optional, but the fish and chips are superlative. We will definitely be paying a return visit.

We stopped off here on the way back from Dowlish. I'm not that keen on fish and chips normally however, I must say that that these were lovely. Crispy chips and a a really nice batter on the cod. We ate on some picnic benches about 150m further along the coast if anyone is looking for somewhere to sit and enjoy.

We recently stayed at the campsite in cockwood and stopped at Kenny's on the way. Had 2 fish, large chips and a curry sauce (all freshly cooked) for less than £11! It was by far the best fish and chips we've had in a while and our friends who had just had chips from the campsite chippy were a bit jealous! They were so good we all went back a few nights later.Kenny is a very chatty guy, friendly and accommodating. I would recommend this chipshop to anyone passing through or staying anywhere near. It's well worth the extra effort of driving from the campsite!

Live locally and occasionally get a bag of chips for use at home or eating off the train.Nice enough but, seeing fish being defrosted under the tap from frozen for this commercial fisherman is a no no!Owner doesn't have the greatest warm customer skills and is well renown locally for it apparently.... In fairness, everything is cooked to order, prices very good and portion size excellent vfm. Good parking if your driving and v convenient.Sorry but not one of my fave F&C shops, I'm sure they have their followers but thanks, but not a regular haunt for me.

Tried this place whilst waiting for a train. Prices were reasonable (£3.10 for fishcake and medium chips). Fishcake was cooked to order and pretty good, chips were okay but were very oily and I had to use the paper they were wrapped in to dry them off before I could eat them. The chippy near the station in Dawlish Warren is far better.

Excellent! We like this better than any other fish and chip shop in the Dawlish area. We don't go often, but we've been satisfied every time.

In my opinion the best Fish and Chips in the area. All cooked fresh to order and reasonably priced. Lovely to sit by the estuary on a summers evening eating them out of the bag.
