not what we ordered - crispy seaweed not crispy-very little egg in rice

Initial impressions were very good: the Singapore Noodles and Crispy Chilli Beef were tasty! However, the Crispy Chicken Balls were hard and dry. The prawn crackers were not fresh. Perhaps, there are dishes preferable over others, and those familiar with this takeaway will know its strengths, but our experience was mixed.

Used to be amazing, but went down hill fast a few years back. Tried again tonight and they haven’t recovered. Food was bland and the prawn toast was chewy, greasy and no a prawn in sight, more like fried bread. Shame

Lotta people hating on this place. I buy takeaway from here all the time and it’s always very good. For a local business run by a few nice guys it seems to get undue levels of criticism. Give Kenley House a chance and make up your own mind - I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Great food, very clean outlet, take away only

Just ordered a meal ,as I wasn’t able to go to our usual Chinese takeaway. Very disappointed, chicken hardly visible in lemon chicken covered in soggy batter bbq ribs dry awful rice tasteless. Certainly won’t be using them again . Most has ended up in the bin .

Food is, of course, a matter of taste and we had absolutely no complaints with the collection of dishes we bought from here. It was cooked quickly and we had absolutely no concerns about the quality of either the ingredients or the way they were cooked.

The food was really good. Hot and fresh. Prices are very reasonable too with good portion sizes.

Really enjoyed the soup and the house special noodle. We’ll be back 😌

Nice local Chinese takeout. Food was nice and not too pricey

Well - that was the worst meal I have had for a very long time! The sweet and sour dumplings were thick battered but thin and sausage-like, the noodles looked and tasted like they had been previously cooked and reheated, the beef Szechuan - ditto. The curry - well the sauce was its only saving grace. As for the portion size - totally ridiculous. They have halved the previous size. Suffice to say there was nothing I really enjoyed about the meal. Will definitely not be going back. To say I am disappointed is an understatement!

Solid Chinese best to collect in person the food is good

Stay well away, I had the worst food poisoning ever from this place it should be closed down and someone else takes over in my opinion.

Not sure why there are so many bad reviews. I've ordered from here a few times, all for pickup, always good and fresh. Hot and sour soup, chicken with mixed veg, chicken balls were all very tasty. Beef chop suey wasn't bad either; British chop suey usually isn't to my liking, and admittedly this one does have a very red sauce which I've never seen before, but I actually prefer it to the other chop sueys I've had in this country.

The single worst meal I have ever had! Arrived late, wrong items, items missing and all cold. Had to go to Tescos to get food instead. Avoid like the plague!

Awful, awful, awful. Chicken Chinese style was tepid and chewy and also had a strange smell and Singapore noodles were virtually a mush and completely tasteless. Abrupt and unfriendly service too. Please don't waste your money.

Owner called back enquiring about problem and tried to resolve, extra star credit for that.

A decent enough Chinese takaway, use it all the time and no reason to complain. Chicken in Chili (81) highly recommended....

Food was delivered extremely quickly, that’s the only positive. Food was barely edible, duck was extremely tough, as was the deep fried shredded beef. Prawn toast had no prawn, just a fried slice with sesame on top. Chow mien tasted old and the spare ribs were just bones in a sauce. The worst Chinese take away we’ve ever had. Will not be going back and would avoid at all costs.

First time here went into the shop and ordered food was done really quickly Crispy chilli beef, special fried rice, chips , curry sauce, seaweed and chicken chowmein all really tasty . Great value for money too I wish we had ordered large definitely will next time 🙂

I truly wish i could give less than 1 star food took over an hour and a half to arrive and i really wish it didnt turn up at all. Ordered singapore fried noodles what turned up was something completely different that looked as if its been cooked on the floor bland chicken chow mein. And egg fried rice with no egg . Must be honest kenley house have got top spot in one thing and thats being by far the worst chinese take away ive had. Avoid unless you want to be disappointed

Ordered from Just Eat. They never delivered the order and won’t answer the phone. Ridiculous

We ordered early evening i e just after 6pm and we were probably given the day before leftovers. The lemon chicken had seen better days. It was dry. Only fit for the dog. The batter was utterly SOGGY with uncooked batter. The chicken balls were ok. The battered fried prawn dish: the batter was hard and smacked of cooked the day before too. Vermicelli was goodish..... The prawn crackers were rubbery. Their take away is just round the corner from us but that is where they can stay. Never again.

The chow mein was cold but overall good value

I have ordered from here a few times now and never had a problem, food Is always delicious. However this time round not so great my chicken chop suey was horrible. I first noticed it was different when opening tub, it was red. Never have I ever had red chop suey. I continued to dish up. Then once I tasted it was not happy it seemed as though its tinned chopped tomatoes. There is no flavour apart from the onion. Why you've done this I've no idea but I suggest you dont do it again.

Not good. Bland and not fresh rice. Beef fatty and chewy. Seems to have gone downhill lately. Won't be going back

The best Chinese takeaway in Town

The food was generally alright, the sweet and sour chicken balls was delicious and the source was very nice. The duck was a bit dry but that is my only criticism

Food was virtually inedible... prawn toast had no prawn paste on it, it was basically fried bread with sesame seeds on, squid was undercooked, shredded beef looked stale and smelt horrible, stale bit of duck was in the bag with the chicken balls... we didn’t order anything duck. When we phoned the man was rude and unapologetic. Never again and would not recommend

Made a collection order of chicken chow mein , egg fried rice and beef and green peppers in black bean sauce, prawn crackers and crispy seaweed. The chow mein was bland and soggy mixed in with a lot of grease , I counted three pieces of chicken in there I swear. The rice was stodgy and greasy and hard it wasn't even hot! The seaweed was cold and to call it crispy was a joke The beef was tasteless too and very chewy Rip off for the prices they charge, tiny portions and disgusting food Avoid like the plague and spend your money elsewhere unless you want to purchase a belly ache for your dinner

Really disappointing takeaway with no taste. I’ve been twice now and both times have paid decent money for bland food. I would recommend spending your money at the Co-op next door instead.

Ordered the Japanese Udon mixed meat meals. it twas filled with more noodles than meat. i phoned to complain and was told that was the amount for the meals and that i would have got more if i ordered a large.But on the menu it is listed as Japanese Udon mixed meat (Large)

Hadn't used it for a while. Got a takeaway recently and the prawn toast £4.10 was so dry and inedible, I swear it was from the day before. I threw it away. Won't be getting my custom again

Horrible experience! The food came in 10 minutes and everything was stale. The rice and the noodles were not fresh and smelt like it had gone off. Called back to ask for a refund or for fresh food to be delivered but was told they do not do refunds and was confronted with a rude attitude and hung up on. Atrocious customer service. Would 100% NOT recommend.

Terrible service , said my deliever time was 45mins . 1hour and half later the driver still hadn't left and food wasn't prepared ! Never again ! Rude on the phone and then kept hanging up ! Ridiculous

Kenley's only quick grab Chinese food. Food is good I normally stick to my usuals.

Cheap, food is not bad, worringly quick food

Far from good awfull tast under cooked the curry was put on top of the rest of food which exploded all over everything else and ruin the rest of the food
