Kengs Garden in Poole

We placed are order for local delivery with no problem . On arrival our meal was in complete 3 chicken balls instead of 8 . Gave them a call and they didnt believe me . After a challenging conversation they agreed and delivered the product . The conversation was terrible from there side with no customer service or personality skills .On arrival of the missing product ,no apologe just her you are . We have used this takeaway more 25 years and cant believe the shocking respect from a regular user. It's so disappointing that they just dont care and basically called me a lie er over the phone . If you carry on this way you will close and give someone else a chance to succeed. Called them again to talk to them but not interested and put the phone down .on me . Who ever owns this unit should at least make contact with me . But no e mail address to send this complaint. This shows customer service is really low on there agenda .

The tom yum soup was inedible gloop the duck noodles had 4 small pieces of duck in the whole dish this was disappointing The large spring rolls were very good as were the plain noodles

I have got for years from here and they have given me chicken instead of duck and totally under cook not edable and would not change or anything just hung up phone I have sent them loads of business which from today will not happen u will lose loads of customers I am discussed

Been coming here for around 10 years after my previously favourite Chinese takeaway changed hands. Have tried alot of places in the Bournemouth and Poole area and can say that Kengs Garden is the best value takeaway out there. Good food, at a very good price, and a very efficient delivery service. The online service has recently improved things immensely.

I telephoned the takeaway on the 29th Nov 2021 to place an order of mixed vege in black bean sauce egg fried rice to go with this dish and mixed vege chow mein and sweet chilli sauce to have a small amount with this dish and 2 spring rolls ..I received mixed vege in sweet n sour sauce which I cannot eat due to diabetes the spring rolls had big lumps of meat in again could not eat due to being a vegetarian...they went in the bin ...I was very disappointed with the whole experience ...

Ordered - grilled chicken. Turned out to be breaded fried chicken pieces in the pool of red gravy. It gave very unpleasant sour taste that I had to bin it straight away after first bite . Tom yum soup wasn’t good as well. Fried rice noodle ( happened to be vermicelli) was edible , I will rate noodle 5/10. Will not order from this takeaway again .

Order 1st time online delivery well within time which is why I gave 1 star but rest of the food was very bland. Prawn balls was not crispy on the outside and sweet sour pork hung Kong style have zero flavour. Prawn chow mein was just as bland. Please note this was a delivery

First time ordering from Kengs will definitely not be the last. The food was hot, wellcooked and arrived earlier than expected. Would highly recommend this takeaway to evrybody who reads this review.

Lovely food. arrived so much earlier than said good job I was in wasn't expecting the door to ring that much earlier no worries will order from here again recommend the tasty food not badly priced too .

Food was delivered early, but was cold. Chicken was rubbery and stringy. Remainder of meal was bland and I threw the majority in the bin. Never again.

The delivery time said 45-55 minutes. When it arrived 15 minutes later , I was surprised. This means all good is made already and not made fresh. So I won’t be ordering there again

It took only less than 5 minutes to get back home to eat and the food was stone cold. We had to re heat it. I will not be using it again. Our meal was ready in less than 10 minutes too so it was clearly just reheated as if made from fresh would've been really hot. Very disappointing. The first and last time we order from there.

Food was good but just eat out on a “15% discount” yet put all the usual prices up so it’s pointless haha.

Delivery girl didn’t have any change so I had to over pay. food was warm but by the time I put it on my plate it was cold and It wasn’t very tasty. probably wouldn’t order from them again.

Family live the food from here, have ordered from the same place for years trying others but always returning..... Tried Kengs a couple of weeks ago..... We now have a new "go to" Chinese.

Well where do I start sweet and sour sauce was taste less crispy shredded chilly beef was more like soggy shredded tasteless beef rice was swimming in greese and some kinda liquid Total waste of £33

The chow mien was good but the deep fried squid was awful. It tasted like it was just fried batter and when I bit them in half I couldn’t actually see any squid. Really bad food. Sorry :/

Great service but food was bland. Had the king p.o. chicken which was mild.

The spring rolls and vegetable chow mein tasted alright but were a bit cold, but sadly the chicken curry tasted bland, with the sauce being very flavourless and watery. The sweet and sour sauce was very runny as well with a vinegary taste to it, not enjoyable at all. Delivery was early, but sadly the food was poor so will not be ordering again.

The food here is always great, always arrives hot and on time if not early. The delivery drivers are always great too.

This is an established takeaway and a decent one as well. In fact, they used to be better but recently their quantity and quality has slipped - perhaps new chefs? The meat in dishes is has gone down noticeably while prices have gone up. But still ok for a quick bite.

A bit disappointed with the food. The curry was tasteless and the deep fried shredded chicken wasn't spicy at all. The chow menu and spring rolls were delicious.

Honestly I'm really disappointed and shocked, the chow mein was wet and tasteless. The prawn balls sauce was sour but not sweet,this was my first time ordering but I disappointed to say the least however delivery was fast so thank you and hope next time it will be better.

Fairly average a bit cold good amount had to order prawn crackers to get over the minimum order and got free ones anyway: ordering Chinese on your ones is difficult with minimum orders and such

The food was delicious and still hot. Sweet corn chicken soup was amazingly delicious. I will order again - it’s the best Chinese food so far (IMO).

Food was on time and hot. Usually, it was good, we ordered from this place before but tonight it was so-so. Beef with chili - a small portion, but quite tasty. Special udon noodle - a lot of noodles not enough vegetables and just 1 prawn... What was nice, maybe a little bit too greasy was pancake spring rolls. Overall it was ok but will I order again - not sure.

The driver couldn’t find us so we ended up exchanging on the road although he was really apologetic. The food was really different to our usual... the curry sauce was sweet, similar to a korma... not nice, chips were either cooked a couple of times or left out & then warmed up, wouldn’t order that again. The sweet & sour sauce was like vinegar water, but chicken balls although a little dry were edible. Beef chow mein & hoisin sauce was ok. I saw all the great reviews so figured we’d order whilst visiting Bournemouth but nibbled most of the food & ate the vegetarian spring rolls. Maybe it’s personal taste but I wouldn’t order from here again.

Food delivered 30 minutes early, not a good sign, currys were bland, no curry flavour, more like a sweet semi warm casserole. Industrial catering, no thought or care taken. Goung to regret this in the morning.

After reading the reviews I had no doubt the food would be good and it really was! Generous portions, hot and overall great value for money.

Fabulous. Really enjoyed the meal, delivered early. The only improvement would be metal containers so I can put them directly onto hotplate to stay warm. But otherwise it was outstanding.

Sweet and sour sauce was coloured vinegar. Egg fries fries was brown, tasted odd and no egg! Delivery driver, whilst on time, smelled like a hemp farm

Ordered through Just eat. We use Kengs at lunch time if we are feeling like a cheeky hot box. Order arrived earlier than expected. Piping hot and tasty as. We'll be back

We had a chicken omelette with chips and a lemon chicken with egg fried rice. Side order of crispy seaweed. The omelette and lemon chicken were lovely. The chips were a bit hard and tasted oily. The seaweed was good and the free prawn crackers was appreciated. Expected delivery time was 7.45 pm and the food was delivered just after 7.25 pm which was great.

Very late, no phone calls, repeated promise of 10 minutes, no apology. Will not be ordering from there again.

food was good I guess, preferred tango over Pepsi, noodles were warm and nice, the tango was really good ! rice was nice and had lots of peas, I like peas! chicken was fine but needed salt and pepper, maybe some more soy sauce, I like sauce and saucy chicken. would order again!

Awful food, worst Chinese i ever had

the meant to be crispy food was soggy, the satay chicken skewers were so hard and the chow mein was just tasteless. will not be ordering from here again

Duck was ok quite dry, sweet and sour sauce was something else! Neon pink with hardly any flavour so left that to the side. Chicken curry was ok chicken had the texture of being boiled not the best and the chicken with chilli was the best bit. Far from an enjoyable meal bit dissapointed.

To much onion in everything and I love but just far too much of it

The BEST duck udon noodles in the world, I have had Kengs Garden so many times now and I always have the duck udon with other stuff too but the duck udon are amazing, highly recommend :) ten star :)

The food was absolutely fantastic, full of flavour and fresh. defiantly the best Chinese takeaway food I have ever eaten, will 100% be using them again and will be recommending to family and friends.

The rice had a funny taste and the chow mien was tasteless. Not impressed.
