Ken Chinese take away in Warrington

First time for us ordering from kens food was amazing staff on phone so polite driver who delivered are food was very polite and did a great job delivering are food with care and nice and hot too many thanks we will definitely be using you in the future.

The quality of the food was extremely poor considering its price.

Got to be the worst chippy we have ever had . Gravy was like water chips are not even chippy chips. The mushy peas was garden peas salt and pepper chicken was hard and hardly any in the tub . Needs shutting

Recently moved to the area & ewwww first time at this takeaway and the last. We Ordered salt and pepper chips which were awful just basically cheap oven chips thrown in with a tiny bit of onion. Ordered chicken dumplings, around £5 for THREE tiny things with barely any chicken in, literally just batter. Dumplings are meant to be soft and these were solid. Spring rolls tasted off and we ordered a small curry sauce and got a large expensive pot instead. Worst Chinese food we have ever had. Nope never again

Absolutely awful person who was on the phone did not get my order correct shouting over the phone saying that I am wrong had charged me an extra £7 for a curry sauce I did not order order was wrong asked for salt a pepper chip didn’t get that prices are ridiculous never going again

⚠️WARNING⚠️if 0 was an option id give it a zero , ken thinks it was okay to be very rude to people when hes the one who has got the order wrong, he also thinks its okay to charge us 7 pound for a pot of curry wich we dodnt ask for and he has an attitude about him , he needs to sort his attitude out . food is also dryer then the old baby powder rotting away in the cubbard⚠️⚠️⚠️DONT ORDER !!!

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. Really unhappy with my experience at this Chinese takeaway, first of all they got the order completely wrong we asked for half salt and pepper chips with rice, we were given plain chips with rice. We ordered a SMALL TUB of curry sauce to go with the half/half. We got a £7 tub of curry sauce as well as a small tub of curry sauce the total order came to £25!!!! I am in disbelief. We called the takeaway to inform them that the order was wrong and the response we got was appalling. We were told that we were wrong and that we didn’t know what we were talking about. Any takeaway that cared about their customers would offer a refund…or at least the correct food that we ordered. They did absolutely nothing but argue with us on the phone. Will not be ordering from here again. Disgraceful service!!!

£4.00 for salt and pepper McCain chips with about 3 peppers. Rip off

Not sure if this business is under new ownership? As usual told 10 mins for a pick up order. Arrived on time, place was empty and phone didn’t ring while I waited a further 15 mins. On the way home noticed an unusual smell, nothing like normal takeaway. Unwrapping and the smell got worse. Food was VERY overcooked. Crispy duck was rock solid. Sauces like jelly. My guess, this was heated up from last night. So disappointed I called the place only now the guy can’t understand my complaint and is struggling with the language. Steer clear of this place, disgusting!

Overpriced now used to be reasonable and quality has become off somewhat its really expensive and unfortunately portions dont reflect this. Delivery staff great though but honestly dont recommend had to rate 1 star to leave a review

Ordered Kung Po, no taste at all and is filled with nuts when asked not to due to allergies. Salt and pepper chips are way too salty and the rice is dry. Called and ordered over the phone and took half an hour to cook 2 things

First time we used this take away and never again the food was terrible. We ordered for 4 people and almost every dish was horrible. The rice was gluey and inedible and the king po dish was tasteless as was the chilli beef which should have been spicy. We were very disappointed.

Tried Kens tonight for the 1st time, delivered on time. Had 2 starters really nice followed by a main which was tasty no complaints will definitely use again.

Online opening times are not correct

Know what to order and you'll be okay. We keep it simple. Not bad for a local takeaway.

Lemon chicken very tasty. Mushrooms in plum sauce delicious. Servings plentiful. All in all a very good experience.

Waited 1hr 50 minutes. Food was as Chinese as I am. Honestly the worst takeaway ever. Was thrown in the bin. Fried rice was as mushy as rice pudding. Mcdonalds fries are more salt and pepper than these serve. The pork in the hot and spicy pork tasted rancid, almost certainly out of date. My kids didn't even eat the chips and gravy. This is not a takeaway. I've had better pot noodles.

Had a couple of meals from Ken's now and all the dishes have been wonderful.

I've used Ken for many years now, usually really good. However tonight's food left us feeling a little cheated. No chips with the meal, I called and the girl wasn't at all interested 'I'll send you some but it could be an hour' like its ok to send half an order. Eventually she apologised, took a bit of time though.

The worst salt and pepper chips, frozen and all dried powder no fresh elements. Won’t be returning

Visited on a Sunday evening in September, while staying in a hotel about a mile away. Drove here and chose this rather than use the hotel restaurant. Rather weird menu layout - dishes are listed first by the sauce, one then choses the meat/prawn accompaniment. Totally confusing and pointless - why not simply list all the chicken dishes, the beef dishes, the prawn dishes etc as in a normal Chinese restaurant or take away. You then choose Ordered a won ton soup - this was OK - not the best I have had by a long way, but equally I have had worse. I then ordered mixed vegetables in an oyster sauce with king prawns. Boiled or fried rice (nb not egg fried rice) was available, but the only true "fried rice dish available was Sinagpore Fried Rice - no beef, chicken, shrimp or prawn etc fried rice available for some strange reason. My main dish was again OK - lots of sauce - not parrticularly like any oyster suace I had eaten before but not unpleasant. Lots of stir fried veg, and an unfortunately somewhat small portion of prawns. taste of them was fine, but could have done with more. Price was very good - however only forks and no spoons were available - curious when soups are on the menu.

Gorgeous chinese food we had fried rice noodles hot and sour chicken and salt and pepper chips and it only took 25 minutes to get to us deffo would recommend and would go there again

Just your average Chinese takeaway, never had an issue with them. Same menu as most places, nothing special really. They do deliver but don't take card.

Ordered chips and curry sauce tonight, got chips and sweet and sour but was on plate (my boyfriend did it) before I noticed so couldn't take it back, not amused as I hate sweet and sour

I have been going there for three years, food not that great, but local. Each time taking my dog,, who's really well behaved, with no problem. But just recently the English counter staff who only works tuesdays. Says I have to wait outside for my food. When I asked to speak with the owner. I was just told , they don't speak English. No hair nets wore by staff in the kitchen and behind the counter. Hypocritical. Will not be going again
