Chinese Garden in Warrington

First time ordering from this restaurant, food was excellent, portions were generous and arrived piping hot. Definitely order from here again.

Do not take order if you can’t get them on time. 2.5h waiting time is way to long…

Ordered at 6.30pm as a family tea with kids. It arrived at 9.15pm. Had to give the kids a pizza. Kept phoning but it went to voicemail. Got a mumbled 'sorry it's late' when it turned up. Food was ok. Requested refund with JustEat and got a whole £5. Should've checked reviews on here. You live and learn.

Food didn’t arrive and phone not working so can’t get in touch. Very very disappointed

Waiting 1hr 40 minutes for delivery.

Food ordered at 630 and wait was expected to be 40- 50 minutes. Food arrived at 9pm. My wife is on Chemotherapy with strict eating windows so couldn't eat it as so late. Food was poor. Chicken Satay skewers really fatty and chewy.

40 mins after being ready kept being told it will be next yet there was an hour wait before our time but wasnt told any of this my partner had to ask how long multiple times and wrong order of duck completely not happy at all no apology making sure takeaway and regulars were looked after. first one gentleman walked in ordered and was given his food with in 10 minutes. Many people in there waiting over an hour. Still expected to pay full amount. Disappointed

They said they delivered but no delivery of ordered food. Called the number, did all the follow ups from just eat, and no replies. I want a refund for the no delivery

Good portion size but virtually all the food was either very greasy OR very dry, no inbetween. Beef in satay sauce was the best tasting/quality from the order.

The meal was lovely but it took so long! We appreciated it was the Christmas period but it was way late. The chap that delivered it said he was only just told about our order and said sorry which was nice. However, maybe a credit of £5.00 would have been a nice gesture. Thank you x

Order is over an hour late and still not here. I have called the takeaway but no answer, I leave a message and I dont receive a response. I have reported it through Just Eat and I have received a £3 credit for future orders but I wont be ordering again.

Ordered at 18:55 I had to come and collect my order at 21:10 as it still had not arrived. Ask for an explanation and was told they had been busy. Will not be ordering from here again!

First order from this takeaway was very nice will definately be ordering again. all nice fresh and piping hot.

Over half an hour over last delivery time. Springs rolls tasted old & off, same with Egg fried rice & also very dry/unfresh. Crispy shredded chicken&beef in ok tasted very vinegary? Curry sauce tasted like paste. Old decent thing was salt and pepper chicken but still more salt taste than anything else. Awful wouldn’t order again

Really like the food from this Chinese. Extremely tasty. King Prawn Toast is the best we’ve had anywhere. Had several meals and all have been consistently good. This was a meal for 12 people the whole order was spot it and made on time.

There were no updates which is really annoying and I had to contact the restaurant twice. If they had kept me informed I wouldn't have been bothered.

Like anybody else, we decided one day we wanted to get a Chinese takeaway for tea and we decided on Chinese Garden in Latchford village. Personally I've never been here before so I was up for first impressions. Firstly we ordered to collect and at the time there was road maintenance taking place which closed off the main road to get to the takeaway so we would've appreciated when we called, a heads up about that so we could've prepared. The place inside does look a little dated and unkept, one example is the back cushions on the waiting couch had fallen and I'm guessing just been left there. Nothing major but still. I ordered a special curry (containing various meat) and boiled rice and credit where it's due it was delicious. The meat was a big size and the prawns were king prawns, not the tiny ones many other places give you and it wasn't swamped in onion like takeaway curry dishes normally are. On this occasion I would recommend but I've not been multiple times to try various dishes. The lady we spoke to in person when we got there to collect our meal was friendly and respectful.

We normally use a different Chinese takeaway but thought we’d try this as it’s significantly cheaper. Essentially, it’s ok but the servings are much smaller than the place we normally use-certainly we didn’t have anywhere near as many leftovers as usual. The food was reasonable, but possibly slightly overdone. Delivery was quick. Decent value for money, but I don’t think we’ll be ordering again.

I ordered a delivery through just eat and after 90 over delivery time had to go and pick it up. They hadn't even started cooking it and had to wait another 30 minutes. I won't be going back. Apparently this happened last weekend as well so it's not just a one off. Not the fault of the overworked staff but why take orders you can't fulfill?

Not sure how this Restaurant scores low as I had a rake out last Saturday and every meal was absolutely spot on delicious Cantonese steak was 10 Crispy duck also a 10 Salt and pepper chicken amazing 👏 All sides and fresh as could be . Order was an hour and twenty minutes late, food quality is poor. Orange chicken was like jello Special chow mein - nothing special about it, 1 prawn (shrimp actually smaller than you little finger nail) I may aswell have ordered noodles. Salt and pepper chips - like eating cardboard Spicy sweet and sour soup - like jello Salt and pepper wings - dry over salted was like eating a spoon of salt with every bite. Only positive was the delivery person, she was friendly and appolagised for been late due to the amount of deliveries she had. All said and done the portions are small and not worth the money been charged, the food quality is dismally poor, I am sure this is all reheated and sent out.

I was told the food would arrive at 20.55pm but the food turned up at 21.30pm after me contacting the takeaway twice I was told the food was with a driver but it was still 30 minutes late based on the time advised for the food to arrive.

45 mins late, spring rolls and main course were thrown away as tasted odd. ribs were dry and chewy but flavour was good. egg fried rice was ok but very bland and threw most of it away as nothing to eat it with. very poor communication regards of late

Wonderful food. Best prawn toast ever but prawn and cashew nuts in yellow bean sauce had no vegetables (despite the photo showing a full selection) and shell on jumbo prawns in garlic sauce didnt have shells! What a shame as good is really tasty

We waiting well over one hour for a delivery that is only situated round the corner, we debated actually collecting it ourselves but thought we wait a little longer after we rang both times. When the food came the rice looked under done and cold, I think the time that it took to come certainly had an affect on the taste. The prawn crackers tasted quiet greasy, and the chips were cold also.

Food ordered at 6:50pm… didn’t arrive til 8:36pm. Took almost 2hrs for a chicken chow mein, veg spring rolls & some prawn crackers. Prawn crackers are very flavourless, chow mein extremely watery & greasy, veg spring rolls were nice. Wont order from here again unfortunately.

Absolutely appalled by the service, ordered on just eat at around 7 food supposed to originally come at 8.30, this then changed on the app to 8.55 which was bad enough arrived over an hour late I had called to see where it was got a load of absolute rubbish about it being Saturday and Chinese new year! I was told for my wait I would get fortune cookies…… wow that makes up for spoiling my night as food so late I had to go to bed due to being in work early in the morning rushed it down because I was starving. To top it off no prawn crackers that was promised for orders over £35 .. I spent near £40 when I called back about this the woman tried to justify this with saying I got fortune cookies…. Who the hell wants them ?? I wanted prawn crackers with my soup as they were promised… I asked for a discount and was point blank refused and told to give the food back to the driver if I wasn’t happy 😡 so rude… thing is I probably should of as the food was absolutely shocking chow mien with no beansproats and what tasted like noodles from instant noodles, soup had no flavour what so ever luckily ribs not too bad, beef and chicken in meals (if that’s what it was??) was also appalling looked like dog meat Never order from here again what a joke

Lovely people and amazing food. Made my night and perfect for Chinese new year! A busy night but they’re lovely, efficient and the food is delicious. Brilliant menu & much variety. Sat with my food now super chuffed. Hadn’t eaten Chinese food in ages and my good experience at Chinese Garden I think I shall order from them again very soon. Thanks you guys & Happy New Year ! 🙂
