Kelham Kitchen & Wine Bar in Sheffield

We went for a 50th birthday which was great. A bit of a wait at the bar due to there being a lot invited but only a few serving. It is small but lovely and staff friendly. Would recommend

Matt and Erica were absolutely fab. Their service was amazing and very friendly and chatty. The drinks were great and the food was phenomenal. We booked a pod and were in it for 5 hours as we enjoyed it so much.

This is the first time I have visited this restaurant and area. Really quirky location but lovely restaurant. Food and service js really good and can recommend both the steaks and pasta dishes.

I always knew this was a nice place to come for a drink in the evening, but my partner and I just had a Sunday lunch there and it was really good! Nice fresh veg, lovely roast potatoes and my pork belly was great. Quick and friendly service too. Will definitely come again.

We had Sunday roast here with a large party of friends and toddlers. We were blown away with the service and hospitality. The quality of the food and range of drinks was excellent. They absolutely went above and beyond for us, including providing entertainment for the kids. Would highly recommend and we will be back again!

Amazing visit! Stopped by in search of food after being let down by another venue in the area. Had a delicious charcuterie board and some of the best chips I've ever eaten. All topped off with amazing service. Have been for drinks many times but have never stopped for food. Will be coming back very soon! Thank you!

Went with friends for food and drinks, disappointed that half of the menu as on website was not available.Food that we did order was of a good standard and staff were all professional and helpful.Would suggest that website is updated so as not to mislead customers.

Visited early on a quiet Sunday lunchtime. Attentive and friendly staff serving good quality Sunday lunches - I recommend the pork belly! Approx £15 for Sunday dinner, and it definitely felt like good value

The second time we’ve been here for bottomless. It was so good the first time we came back a second for a birthday. Absolutely fantastic the staff are so friendly the food is amazing and drinks come out so fast! Will come everytime over anywhere else now. We stay for a few hours once brunch is done too usually.

Rare roast beef, excellent Primitivo red wine, what’s not to like - fabulous. Highly recommend.

In the area we had dropped some teenagers off at a function and thought we would find somewhere to eat out. Friday night 8.00pm everywhere we tried was fully booked. Then found this little gem of a place and ended up being glad we couldn't get in the other packed places. Really nice atmosphere with music playing in the background. Limited menu but everything on it looked nice and the flat bread pizzas we had were excellent. Nice choice of drinks and very friendly staff. Turned out it would have been our choice of venue had we had a choice. Bet it's nice in summer to sit out side. For a relaxing night as a couple of with friends would highly recommend. might be wise to book

Decent tasty food, had meat sharing platter. Menu not great, platters or flat breads !!! that's it. Used to have a much better choice.

One of our favourite places for food and drinks. It's because we have been coming here for years that we were really disappointed with the change in pricing and shrinkflation! The pizza flatbreads used to be big like the usual size of a pizza. Now the price has gone up 14 quid for the meat one and up on the veg ones too. Anyway we ordered thinking it was the usual size only to be given a very small size flatbread on a little chopping board! Tapas style but 14 quid! Really! Day light robbery. That should have been priced 7 pound. Really disappointing that you value making profit than giving the customer value for money. The pizza was tasty but not a normal size for the price. We know it because we have been coming here a long time when your flatbreads were bigger. We will not be eating here again and will use this bar only for drinks unless that goes downhill too.

Very good - it was packed!!! Excellent range of Beers, Lagers & Ciders complementing the spirits that had clearly enjoyed input from some very knowledgeable individuals. The place enjoys an excellent vibe from its customers & the barstaff have been well chosen. The young gentleman looking after the cocktail bar especially was as helpful as he possibly could be & did so with a broad, disarming, smile - but that commendation is not to say that the bar staff in the 'public bar' were not ... they were coping with apparent ease and delivering with again, that smile. I enjoyed it 🙂.

Had an amazing time last night for my boyfriends birthday, food and drinks were delicious! service was amazing with an on the house dessert brought out by the manager at the end, for the birthday. Will definitely be returning!

Good little place a shade on the pricey side .

I booked the POD for my boyfriends graduation drinks and the staff were so friendly and attentive. The man on the bar made us feel very welcome and the female staff brought us a lamp to make it cute and cosy. The cocktails were also lovely. I would definitely recommend this bar.

Been here a few times for bottomless brunch and never had a bad meal or drink! Would highly recommend! Will be back soon for their new peach cocktail and chicken n waffles 😁

Excellent Sunday Lunch experience, I recently reserved over the telephone the outdoor pod and spoke with a very polite gentleman who was more than willing to meet my needs explaining my partner’s and family needs who was very understanding and helpful. The pod was ready for us when we arrived and the service we received from the same gentleman I originally spoke with was excellent Sunday Lunch was beautiful and well presented and would highly recommend, myself and my loved ones had a lovely day out which is very important to me and memories made, Thank you.

The waitress with the black curly hair was so aggressive, I will never return to this bar again. She made our party feel very unwelcome. Its such a shame as we had had a brilliant day until we entered this bar. Never again.

Oh dear! Had booked in her for lunch today and sadly found a fiasco! This was our 2nd visit and on the first occasion although service was slow the food was good. Today the outside was relatively busy but the inside was totally empty probably due to the sunny weather. Having stood around waiting for 10 minutes to get given our table we took the initiative and found a nice spot in the sun. It soon became apparent that there was basically one young man waiting on and serving behind the bar! After waiting a further 15 minutes and watching him delivering 4 breakfasts to other customers he managed to get to the bar. Politely ordered a drink and asked if it was easier for us to order food on the app. Clearly at the end of his tether he told me he was now stopping doing food as he was on his own. I told him we had booked in but he simply could not do anymore. Those lucky enough to have their full English delivered were unlucky enough not to have accompanied cutlery with it and simply sat and watched it go cold! On our last visit some months ago(also a Sunday) we managed to get food after a long wait when again there was only one person doing everything. This time we left empty handed and stomached!! Certainly worth checking before you book or go there

Lively place , very nicely decorated just don't sit on the yellow bench near the toilets ...it's broken . Lively area outside and a brilliant glass ball to sit in for something a bit different

We visited for a drink and I can only describe the experience as appalling. The drink prices were equivalent to central London and the service was poor. We have been in the bar previously some months ago and really enjoyed it, I suspect it is now under different owners. We will not be returning, my advice to anyone thinking of going, don’t, there is much better places in Kelham that you will fully enjoy.

A lovely vibe, super wonderful ladies in waiting, one in particular with an amazing memory! A good mix of clientele too but just wish they hadn't recently changed the menu, missing the fabulous garlic prawns! Hope they'll have been reinstated next time we drop in. Btw as a former wine merchant, I thought the wine list very well chosen, in contrast to an earlier post. chosen

We come here each week, driven by great staff service and small plates for my better half. Sadly the small plates are no more, please bring them back and it’ll be 5 star again

The place is quite nice if lacking in a bit of atmosphere, the barstaff was lovely, very attentive, the food choice (not brunch) was extremely limited, only 4 dishes plus pizza. My steak was OK, but overpriced. I didn't hate it, we had a nice night, but it's just not quite there for me.

A nice place which is even better now it has a couple of decent lagers , it was only a small place before which has changed as they seem to have extended through to building next door, we haven't been down for food for a while but we used to visit for breakfast and it was always lovely.

Food, cocktails and atmosphere was excellent. We did have to wait a bit for the food but never mind waiting if the quality is good. Will definitely return.

Just visited for Sunday brunch - lovely coffee - amazing food - reasonably priced - we’ll be back! Suggestions: more waiting staff (only 1 on), comfier tall chairs and more desserts to choose from!

Went Sunday for a coffee and some breakfast. Front end staff really short, NOT their fault. Ordered coffee and waited to order breakfast, after 15 minutes of waiting for ordered coffees, asked for a refund and left.

At a party in the local area so chose this restaurant based on reviews. We weren’t disappointed, lovely friendly service, we shared a pizza and small plates, def over ordered but difficult to choose !! Good price point for a very nice meal. We left as very happy customers !!

Our grown up daughter was at an art class so we took the opportunity to find somewhere to eat. We stumbled across Kelham Wine Bar next to the River Don in Kelham Island and we had a great time. We had 5 tapas options to share and they were all absolutely delicious. We had the steak tacos with onion ketchup & crispy potato, brie croquettes, duck hash browns, braised leeks in cheese with nut crumble and tandoori sea bass. I thought the prices were very reasonable. The atmosphere was great for a couples night out - chillled out yet quietly cheerful. The service was really good too. We’ll come here again!

Went early Saturday evening and it was very busy, booked a table for 4 for food and drinks. Had plenty of drinks with an assortment of small plates including, chicken bandidos at £7.50, gochujang pulled pork at £8, tandoori chicken skewers at £8, 7oz baguette steak at £9, side salad at £2.50 with truffle Parmesan chips at £4.50 and twice cooked chips at £3.50. All the dishes were very scrumptious and because there was a women nearby laughing like a hyena constantly and we had a table in the busy bar area the manager generously gave us a discount of £25. Nice place overlooking the river in cool kelham island.

Very chilled place down Kelham Island with good selection of drinks. Never eaten here but the food looks and smells great.

We only come here for breakfast on the weekends and these are always amazing. The place is also dog friendly so it lets us having breakfast while on a walk with our dog. The staff however is not always engaging, sometimes you just need to spend ages for someone to come to your table or to serve you at the bar once you’re tired of waiting at the table. Last time I spent ages just waiting at the bar to order & pay for juice and it was not busy at all. Would still recommend though as the food and location is nice.

Good location for a beer after a 100 mile ride

We visited last night and had a lovely meal , charcuterie board to share for starters, followed by small plates. . Everything was presented well and tasted delicious. Couldn’t fault the food and the service was great too. Highly recommend, we will return

4 of us came for Sunday lunch, We had Beef and Chicken meals, and the food was top notch, no complaints, veg was very tasty, meat was nice and tender, we would recomend to give it a try, service was great, bar staff very friendly

I don't generally mind this bar, although it's not my favourite atmosphere in Kelham. However, I was disappointed when I ordered a glass of sauvignon blanc (my fault for ordering without looking at the menu) to be automatically served the most expensive at £12 a glass. There are others on the menu, and it would have been better to have been asked which or at least alerted to the price before.

My partner and I often visit here for a after work drink as it’s lovely to sit outside on the terrace beside the river. They have outdoor heating too which is ideal when winter comes around. Today though, we needed a Sunday roast fix, and had wanted to try the food for a while. My partner had the chicken and I went for the beef. It came with roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables (carrots, green beans), Yorkshire pudding and stuffing. We also ordered a side of cauliflower cheese. If I’m to be picky I’d say the potatoes were perhaps too crispy, and the Yorkshire pudding was perhaps a little overdone. But overall a really great meal, that I think I inhaled in record time. A great contender for a Sunday roast. 👌🏻

Service was spot on tonight, Georgia is star considering how busy the bar was when we were here. I do feel the fact a pregnant lady is left by herself for the whole night is a bit out of order though. Working in the industry myself, I know there are some tasks that a pregnant lady shouldn’t be doing during a shift.

Breakfast was very nice and reasonably priced, the staff member was rather moody and didn't looked like she enjoyed working here ,

Lovely atmosphere & decor. Slightly disappointing wine menu for it being a wine bar. Staff not very engaging, wine glasses dirty from fingerprints and white wine serving temperature was just wrong. Ordered one side of tandoori chicken skewers which were nicely seasoned, could have done with a few more onions.

Favourite restaurant and bar in kelham Island Sheffield, gorgeous setting by the river, great outdoor seating whatever the weather and the tapas menu is delicious, great service friendly staff could not recommend enough!!

Great setting and nice bar. Just been to a baby shower and had the end, perfect size for small party. Ordered food, ranging from pizza to Sunday dinner. The food was delicious, service was a bit slow and we didn't eat at the same time, infact 2 Sunday dinners didn't arrive because the chef missed them. Everyone had eaten by the time the missing two arrived. Would have got 5 otherwise.

Only after I had frequented this God Forsaken place, that I read the bad and poor reviews, which were all consistent with my experience. Terrible service, rude bar and serving staff, poor table service, we waited for nearly two hours to be served, poor food...

Went out with work colleagues for a meal out. The online order process was pretty hard work compared to most places I've been. Also the waitress was very rude and abrupt when asked if a so say vegan dish one of our party ordered was actually vegan (it was not). She told is that VE on the menu means vegetarian 🤔

Me and my work colleagues from NHS BT booked to have food here on Saturday night. The food was fine however the service was terrible. They didn't know what what the food orders were when they came out. We had ordered a Vegan garlic and cheese flat bread online. When it came out it had real cheese on it. When we asked the waitress she shrugged her shoulders and said I think its vegan. It took 3 times of asking for her to go and check with the chef and it was not vegan. They need to change this on the menu as they don't actually provide a vegan option for this. The waitress was rude just throwing food Infront of people. Would not go again.

very expensive for what you are eating beer was good some dishes were cold which the staff were apologetic about as there was a new or stand in chef , not worth the walk from the town centre unfortunately for a restaurant that advertises as tapas it was very poor! 5x haloumi chips for £5
