Great experience! It is our second time here and first after the refurbishment. The food is great and the staff are very friendly. Would recommend it for sure.

Went for the first time and the food was lovely! Value for money and great customer service. Was served by Qureshi who was very attentive and made us feel welcomed. Would definitely be coming again and highly recommend!

Went from bradford to edinburgh for couple of days googled halal places to eat , been to few places but nothing was good, then went to kebabish in edinburgh, was greeted by qurashi ,very polite and respectful, and above all the food was the best, ordered fish pakora and lamb karahi which was amazing, all the staff was very pleasant and respectful,

Food we had was amazing. Second time ive been here, the first time we came with a big group and they handled it so well food came out quick and hot. Will be back again. The manager Qureshi helped a lot with everything. Will be back again.

The food the ambience and the staff and service were 5 star nothing was too much trouble.Bring your own bottle made it very affordable too!

The karhai chicken was good but not excellent. The kababs were fresh and tasty and the daal was also delicious. This is probably the closest to Pakistani food you’ll get in Edinburgh.

We have been coming here for few years and were really excited about going back after the recent renovations. We were not left disappointed, the restaurant looks amazing, food was incredible and staff were so friendly and accommodating as always. Thank you so much for a lovely evening, we will definitely be back again soon!

Definitely worth the drive from Leeds to visit this amazing place. I would recommend and definitely would visit again. The lamb chop was the best I have ever tasted. They went above and beyond for my partners birthday.

We had a very pleasant experience here at Kebabish! I had the potato and aubergine dish, and it was incredibly flavourful, and good portion size for the price as well! The service was lovely as well, there were waiters coming to check up on us every couple of minutes, and it was always pleasant when they did! All in all, a very nice experience, with good service and great food. Love the BYOB as well!!

Food was really nice. However service was not great, it was quiet and lunch time. However we were paying same prices as in the evening. We had to ask twice for them to clear the tables in-between courses. The service left a lot to be desired!

Food was ok but small portions for the price you pay

Came on a Saturday night around 10pm and hour before close. Firstly the interior is lovely the new deco is really nice and modern and the atmosphere was good. We had no reservation so had to wait around 10 mins while they arranged a table. Got seated waiter came with the menus told us it’s been a very busy night so some items have completely sold out. We ordered food came on time very nice starters mixed grill, lamb chops, chicken tikka and masala fish and a few masala fries. All the starters were lovely food was fresh and hot. Mains we got the lamb charsi karai and chicken Lahori style karai and family all loved it accompanied with chilly and corriander naans. Drinks were warm thou and had to ask for glasses and ice but the food made up for it. Would certainly come again. This restaurant was originally opened by my uncle when Kebabish first opened in Edinburgh. And a good while he sold it as he moved on to other ventures but it was nice to see the food is still top tier.

Very friendly staff but food is spicy

Very stingey with the amount of meat they put in their butter chicken, less than 1/4 of a breast and mainly sauce. Garlic naan is lovely. Virgin mohito was awful - just a glass of sprite

Kebabish was absolutely awesome - Just had the mixed grill, tandoori paratha, and lamb karahi at Kebabish — absolutely delicious! Proper finger-licking food that legit reminded me of traditional home made food. Full of flavour, cooked to perfection. The vibes were great, and the service was on point. Definitely one of the best desi spots in Edinburgh!

i asked for a seehk kebab in the starters and then they gave me the seehk on the main when i clearly pointed some else meaning i had to pay double the amount not knowing

Every time I got Edinburgh I go there but this time it’s horrible, food is expensive and horrible, no waiters to serves had to wait 10 minutes to get sauces, won’t be going again

Tonight was the first time we had visited. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Food was delicious. Shame we had a a couple that would not stop laughing sitting close to us. I found the service a little slow.

Had iftar here the food was nice I seen the manager went to all the tables asking if everyone was ok but never came to our table. Soon as we finished and paid rushed out the door couldn’t get rid of us quick enough! Nice place nice food the manager side not professional will not be back!

I was really looking forward to dining at Kebabish in Edinburgh after hearing good things about the food. To be fair, the food did not disappoint—it was absolutely delicious and full of authentic flavors. However, the experience was ruined by the service, specifically the behavior of the older manager. We ordered specific dishes, but he brought something completely different without informing us. When the bill came, we were shocked to find an extra £30 added for items we hadn’t even asked for! It felt incredibly dishonest, like a classic case of being taken advantage of. This type of behavior is completely unacceptable and ruins the trust a customer should feel in a restaurant. While I can’t fault the food, the deceptive service means I won’t be coming back. A shame, because the kitchen clearly knows what they’re doing, but the management needs serious improvement. Avoid unless you’re prepared to double-check everything!

Kababish Original had a mixed experience. We ordered the garlic naan, chicken karaahi and chicken biryani. While the chicken karahi and garlic naan were delicious, I was disappointed with the biryani. The portion size of the biryani was surprisingly small, served on a plate rather than a bowl. For the price, I expected a more generous serving. In fact, the portion was so small that I think it would be insufficient even for someone with a smaller appetite. For two people, the total cost was steep, especially considering the small portion size of the biryani. While the food was tasty, the value for money was disappointing.

Went with 2 friends, they took over an hour to serve our food - food was quite the opposite from authentic food even though we requested different (quite disappointing). Portions were quite small too - didn’t feel worth our money. Overall not a good experience.

Room for serious improvement. I was really expecting large portions. Even my two year old nephew wouldn’t fill his tummy with the food served here. Hope yall improve.

We recently visited Kebabish & whilst the experience was overall pleasant, there were a few drawbacks. The food was nice, though it felt more like a Westernised take on Asian cuisine rather than authentic dishes. The curries really lack flavour. The wait times were also really long which was quite frustrating as the restaurant wasn’t busy. Friendly staff & cozy atmosphere but I wouldn’t recommend to anyone looking for true Asian flavours.

Kebabish has recently refurbished and its very stylish and nice now. Food was great. The desserts we had were the Dubai Chocolate Cake and Belgian Pistachio Waffles which were both not that good, quite dry but everything else was great! We had the mixed grill and the Lamb Karahi.

Had a fantastic family meal here last Saturday and couldn't fault it one bit! Excellent tasty well priced piping hot food, very attentive staff, beautifully decorated restaurant, great music and BYOB with no corkage. What's not to love?! I've been making recommendations all week and will be back soon 🙂

Been here for dinner a number of times since it reopened - it’s always brilliant. Had a lovely valentines dinner tonight with the extra cute touches. Food and service was amazing again tonight.

It’s a beautifully decorated restaurant with an amazing atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was spot on with good sizes portions and tasty dishes. I got the Nihari (definitely recommend if you like lamb on the bone) and my wife got the Haleem (recommended if you want to try an authentic Asian dish that’s not so readily available). Plus there’s free car parking so it’s a bonus.

Absolutely fantastic experience! Food was of the highest quality and service was top level. The owner was making his way around all the tables to make sure everyone was happy. One thing that really stood out was how beautiful the decor is inside the restaurant! I will be back!

We came to the restaurant so late that they were going to close, but the hotel staff surved us and they were very cooperative. Second, very excellent cuisine starters and both man meals were up to the standard. Everyone should attend and taste their tasty dishes.

Very bad experience. We ordered 1 kg lamb kadai, and you must see that there is no gravy at all, and it’s not even half a kg. Seriously, attention required.

First visit on Friday and apart from it being very cold sitting at the window(not your fault it was so cold outside) the food however was outstanding and we will definately be back. P.s best chicken pakora i have ever had 👍 see you again soon

Ribeye steak cooked 10/10 Onions where still raw… Mash was 10/10 Blue lagoon was 7/10 Gol gopa 10/10 Keema nan 7/10 Staff where on time and friendly place was clean and warm lovely atmosphere. Would go again but would like the food to be refined better.

I phoned to check if I needed to book a table for a Saturday evening(table of 3). It did get really busy so better to phone in advance however they were very accomodating. Staff are attentative, friendly, polite and helpful. Food is outstanding! We've been customers for years! It is a bring your own bottle and they happily provide glasses (for beer/wine). They have recently renovated which made the new place more friendly and stylish. Can highly recommend and will definetly be back!

This place was amazing in its style, taste of music, and service. My family is half British, so some of us can't handle spicy food. So we asked if there was any that was not spicy, and the waiter tried his best to find the non-spicy things for us. It took about 15 minutes to wait for our food and they gave us amazing pop-dons with beautiful sauces. But then again. The food that we ordered was very spicy. We told the waiter, and they gave us some yoghurt and free dessert and some sweets! I would recommend coming here if I were you. The food was spicy. But the flavours were extraordinary.

The redone decor makes it look like a fancy restaurant but it's not that at all. It's still quite an average. The service is good enough and the food is a good value and taste.

The restaurant is recently renovated and and has a very fresh and beautiful ambience now. The quality of their food has become exceptionally better than before. The dishes are freshly made and tasty. Staff very attentive and warm.

First time at Kebabish Original in Edinburgh. Been eating in the capital for over 20years. Can say the food is a cut above any other place in Edinburgh. The flavours and quality of food was very very good…and the new contemporary decor gives the place a great vibe!

I’ve been to kebabish 3 times now and it’s been absolutely amazing, couldn’t fault anything. The atmosphere is welcoming and warm especially Mr Qureshi,the service is fast and efficient and the food has been delicious consistently every time. I will definitely be coming again and recommending you to others.

Delicious food and lovely atmosphere. After making a very easily made mistake, the staff went above and beyond to make our night special. The staff were excellent and we received the best service we have had in Edinburgh. I cannot remember the exact name of our waiter but he has previously worked on cruise ships and he did an excellent job at making us feel welcome! This restaurant is a must!! 😊

I believe this is a new restaurant but with the same trading name as the reviews cannot be for this. All looks newly refurbished too. The food was outstanding, the service excellent. The prawn puri starter was the best i have experienced and the lamb chops were exceptional. Lamb Bhuna and Chicken tikka masala mains were delicious, highly recommend the Tawa Roti as an alternative to naan. Well deserved 5 stars. Will definitely come again.

Just left the restaurant just now, it’s Fantastic food was amazing we got 3 different curries and they we all amazing got starters and they were the same. The place just been renegades aswell top marks best restaurant I’ve been to in a while.

Worst food i have ever eaten. The most rude old man who was taking order. Not only served us wrong order but very tasteless food too. Food was too too spicy that we could not even eat it and had to leave it as it is. Mutton had smell in it and the prices were crazy for the most tasteless food. No heating was on. Very cold inside. Water had a weird taste as if it was tap water. We were with a baby and even on asking not to give us spicy food they did and not even our baby was unable to eat anything so did we. Had to leave hungry. Crazy prices zero food quality and taste. Rudest manager ever. I will never recommend anyone to go there. This branch should be closed. Poor overall.

Our first visit, great food and service from Nargis

Cold and bare inside. Staff member was on the phone when he pointed us to a table and did not even say a hello. Was handed the bill right after mains without even asking if we wanted dessert. And to top it off, saw a kitchen staff member use the bathroom and leave without washing his hands.

Love this place go there regularly food is scrumptious and reasonably well priced aswell doesn't sell alcohol but there very happy for you to bring your own that's what we do yum yum

Food is good, pricy but delicious

The karahi was ok, but meat was stale, overpriced drinks , faluda was nothing but rose syrup and milk mixed on the spot the ice cream was missing from falooda, just like melted pellets of cream were floating thats when it was served

I went to the restaurant today for the first and last time. Cold inside. There are no alcoholic beverages on the drinks menu. The staff said you can bring your own :o) I ordered a steak fried medium, but it came draggy and dry. After more than 10 minutes, the staff brought the second steak, which was raw inside. The meat didn't look fresh. Why do they have steaks on their menu if they don't know how to prepare them?! I got up and left. I do not recommend! A comedy, not a restaurant.

Aroundb10 people went there for drinks(BYOB) and dinner. The management insisted that we order the main course along with starters. As they have 25 people coming in the next half an hour or so. Food is ok, not that great.
