Staff were extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. Food was delicious, piping hot and excellent value for money. Excellent service!

Kababish Original had a mixed experience. We ordered the garlic naan, chicken karaahi and chicken biryani. While the chicken karahi and garlic naan were delicious, I was disappointed with the biryani. The portion size of the biryani was surprisingly small, served on a plate rather than a bowl. For the price, I expected a more generous serving. In fact, the portion was so small that I think it would be insufficient even for someone with a smaller appetite. For two people, the total cost was steep, especially considering the small portion size of the biryani. While the food was tasty, the value for money was disappointing.

Went with 2 friends, they took over an hour to serve our food - food was quite the opposite from authentic food even though we requested different (quite disappointing). Portions were quite small too - didn’t feel worth our money. Overall not a good experience.

Room for serious improvement. I was really expecting large portions. Even my two year old nephew wouldn’t fill his tummy with the food served here. Hope yall improve.

Kebabish has recently refurbished and its very stylish and nice now. Food was great. The desserts we had were the Dubai Chocolate Cake and Belgian Pistachio Waffles which were both not that good, quite dry but everything else was great! We had the mixed grill and the Lamb Karahi.

We recently visited Kebabish & whilst the experience was overall pleasant, there were a few drawbacks. The food was nice, though it felt more like a Westernised take on Asian cuisine rather than authentic dishes. The curries really lack flavour. The wait times were also really long which was quite frustrating as the restaurant wasn’t busy. Friendly staff & cozy atmosphere but I wouldn’t recommend to anyone looking for true Asian flavours.

Had a fantastic family meal here last Saturday and couldn't fault it one bit! Excellent tasty well priced piping hot food, very attentive staff, beautifully decorated restaurant, great music and BYOB with no corkage. What's not to love?! I've been making recommendations all week and will be back soon 🙂

Been here for dinner a number of times since it reopened - it’s always brilliant. Had a lovely valentines dinner tonight with the extra cute touches. Food and service was amazing again tonight.

Great food, great service and byob.

It’s a beautifully decorated restaurant with an amazing atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was spot on with good sizes portions and tasty dishes. I got the Nihari (definitely recommend if you like lamb on the bone) and my wife got the Haleem (recommended if you want to try an authentic Asian dish that’s not so readily available). Plus there’s free car parking so it’s a bonus.

Absolutely fantastic experience! Food was of the highest quality and service was top level. The owner was making his way around all the tables to make sure everyone was happy. One thing that really stood out was how beautiful the decor is inside the restaurant! I will be back!

Went after the renovation. Brilliant taste than it used to be. Ordered lots of things but haven’t disappoint with any of them. Service was excellent and staff were friendly. Will visit there again.

We came to the restaurant so late that they were going to close, but the hotel staff surved us and they were very cooperative. Second, very excellent cuisine starters and both man meals were up to the standard. Everyone should attend and taste their tasty dishes.

What an upgrade! Stunning interior, classy modern vibe and brilliant food. We had the Samosa Chaat, Chicken and beef steaks, and Mocktails. Portion sizes are fab. Would defo recommend 🔥 gotta be one of the top in Edin now 💯

Very bad experience. We ordered 1 kg lamb kadai, and you must see that there is no gravy at all, and it’s not even half a kg. Seriously, attention required.

First visit on Friday and apart from it being very cold sitting at the window(not your fault it was so cold outside) the food however was outstanding and we will definately be back. P.s best chicken pakora i have ever had 👍 see you again soon

Ribeye steak cooked 10/10 Onions where still raw… Mash was 10/10 Blue lagoon was 7/10 Gol gopa 10/10 Keema nan 7/10 Staff where on time and friendly place was clean and warm lovely atmosphere. Would go again but would like the food to be refined better.

I phoned to check if I needed to book a table for a Saturday evening(table of 3). It did get really busy so better to phone in advance however they were very accomodating. Staff are attentative, friendly, polite and helpful. Food is outstanding! We've been customers for years! It is a bring your own bottle and they happily provide glasses (for beer/wine). They have recently renovated which made the new place more friendly and stylish. Can highly recommend and will definetly be back!

This place was amazing in its style, taste of music, and service. My family is half British, so some of us can't handle spicy food. So we asked if there was any that was not spicy, and the waiter tried his best to find the non-spicy things for us. It took about 15 minutes to wait for our food and they gave us amazing pop-dons with beautiful sauces. But then again. The food that we ordered was very spicy. We told the waiter, and they gave us some yoghurt and free dessert and some sweets! I would recommend coming here if I were you. The food was spicy. But the flavours were extraordinary.

Thought I'll try heard it had changed owner's but was so disappointed the food is Probably the worst I've had from a restaurant the service was even worse

The redone decor makes it look like a fancy restaurant but it's not that at all. It's still quite an average. The service is good enough and the food is a good value and taste.

New ownership however service and food was 10/10. Keep this up and you will always be popular far and wide.

The restaurant is recently renovated and and has a very fresh and beautiful ambience now. The quality of their food has become exceptionally better than before. The dishes are freshly made and tasty. Staff very attentive and warm.

First time at Kebabish Original in Edinburgh. Been eating in the capital for over 20years. Can say the food is a cut above any other place in Edinburgh. The flavours and quality of food was very very good…and the new contemporary decor gives the place a great vibe!

I’ve been to kebabish 3 times now and it’s been absolutely amazing, couldn’t fault anything. The atmosphere is welcoming and warm especially Mr Qureshi,the service is fast and efficient and the food has been delicious consistently every time. I will definitely be coming again and recommending you to others.

Delicious food and lovely atmosphere. After making a very easily made mistake, the staff went above and beyond to make our night special. The staff were excellent and we received the best service we have had in Edinburgh. I cannot remember the exact name of our waiter but he has previously worked on cruise ships and he did an excellent job at making us feel welcome! This restaurant is a must!! 😊

I believe this is a new restaurant but with the same trading name as the reviews cannot be for this. All looks newly refurbished too. The food was outstanding, the service excellent. The prawn puri starter was the best i have experienced and the lamb chops were exceptional. Lamb Bhuna and Chicken tikka masala mains were delicious, highly recommend the Tawa Roti as an alternative to naan. Well deserved 5 stars. Will definitely come again.

Just left the restaurant just now, it’s Fantastic food was amazing we got 3 different curries and they we all amazing got starters and they were the same. The place just been renegades aswell top marks best restaurant I’ve been to in a while.

Worst food i have ever eaten. The most rude old man who was taking order. Not only served us wrong order but very tasteless food too. Food was too too spicy that we could not even eat it and had to leave it as it is. Mutton had smell in it and the prices were crazy for the most tasteless food. No heating was on. Very cold inside. Water had a weird taste as if it was tap water. We were with a baby and even on asking not to give us spicy food they did and not even our baby was unable to eat anything so did we. Had to leave hungry. Crazy prices zero food quality and taste. Rudest manager ever. I will never recommend anyone to go there. This branch should be closed. Poor overall.

Our first visit, great food and service from Nargis

Cold and bare inside. Staff member was on the phone when he pointed us to a table and did not even say a hello. Was handed the bill right after mains without even asking if we wanted dessert. And to top it off, saw a kitchen staff member use the bathroom and leave without washing his hands.

Love this place go there regularly food is scrumptious and reasonably well priced aswell doesn't sell alcohol but there very happy for you to bring your own that's what we do yum yum

Food is good, pricy but delicious

The karahi was ok, but meat was stale, overpriced drinks , faluda was nothing but rose syrup and milk mixed on the spot the ice cream was missing from falooda, just like melted pellets of cream were floating thats when it was served

I went to the restaurant today for the first and last time. Cold inside. There are no alcoholic beverages on the drinks menu. The staff said you can bring your own :o) I ordered a steak fried medium, but it came draggy and dry. After more than 10 minutes, the staff brought the second steak, which was raw inside. The meat didn't look fresh. Why do they have steaks on their menu if they don't know how to prepare them?! I got up and left. I do not recommend! A comedy, not a restaurant.

Aroundb10 people went there for drinks(BYOB) and dinner. The management insisted that we order the main course along with starters. As they have 25 people coming in the next half an hour or so. Food is ok, not that great.

Service was good. Nice guy serving. But was freezing cold inside. Not what you’d expect from Kebabish. Glasgow Kebabish is much nicer inside. Food was ok. Lassi was out a bottle and not fresh. Over all experience was 4/10. Below average. Also 3 little flies kicking around our table. They need a insect blue light to kill off flies.

It's just next to my place where I am living right now. I attended the dinner party from my room mate and we were 7 in count. The foods are awesome and the old man who served us is great and Jolly to serve you ehat you wish for. We brought outside wine with us and they served the wine glasses also as they don't have bar counter. All together it was nice experiences , will visit again

The absolute kings of mass catering will happily accommodate large groups.

This is by far the worst restaurant we have been to in Edinburgh. Ordered shrimp and the guts were still in. The chicken kebab seemed rock hard (at least it wouldn’t kill you from salmonella) and the fish was more of an onion dish than a fish one. Honestly, we came here thinking it’d be a fast service, but this was not fast, not good and not cheap. Highly not recommended

My wife and I are regulars (weekly!) to this splendid place. The food is made with real care, the restaurant is spacious, and the owner is more than generous to every guest. Highly recommended!

Lacking everything u expect from south of the border.

Myself and partner came here months ago to try the food. He loves an Indian, I have a peanut allergy so have always felt on edge trying these sort of places especially since I took a reaction to an Indian a few years back. I let them know about my worry, but was catered for no problem. The manager/owner always looks after us! We have brought our 6 year old a few times too, he absolutely loves her and always makes sure she has free ice cream after she's eaten! The service is like no other. 5/5. The food is amazing, lovely atmosphere and family friendly. All the staff remember us when we come back which makes you feel part of the family too! 😁

First impressions, the place is run down! Customer service wasn’t great. When placing the order, waitress wasn’t helpful, but then another waiter saw to us, who understood our requirements & the dish was nice. Menu needs updating, as it didn’t mention chapatti, even though they do this. Personally wouldn’t visit again.

Go there and enjoy the best ever BBQ food in Edinburgh

Veg food was not at all good, non veg was good apparently. The person who was taking order was very rude. We were group of 12 so it takes time to decide on dishes and we were hungry so wanted to order starters first, but that guy was adamant on taking starters and main course order together. While we were still deciding food items, that rude person came and snatched the menu cards from our hands and tables. Mind you restaurant was not at all crowded and most of the tables were empty.

Ordered chicken jalfrezi, the worse dish I have ever eaten, coming from Yorkshire I know what a Jalfrezi is, this was full of vegetables, 60% peppers and onions, the kebabs were tasteless, I hardly ate any of it, wasted £33!!! This is certainly not the typical Pakistani food!

I have been here dozens of times and the food is always incredible and reasonably priced. Staff are really friendly and attentive. The environment is very relaxed and informal. The grilled lamb dishes especially are delicious and most other places can't compete, so I keep coming back

First of all the flavours where nice no complaints there. Portions were small normally I have leftovers but tonight I was left hungry. My partners t bone was a massive disappointment the delivery was late after ordering 3 hours in advance. Will not be returning for a delivery here due to the kids Portions we had delivered. Such a shame is this used to be our favourite place to eat 3/10
