Kebab Elite in Windsor and Maidenhead

Delivery. Multiple mistakes on our purser. Noticeable decline in quality over the last 5 years. Chicken Shazlik contains only 2 slices of pepper. Large chips not big enough for the price.

This place man. Consistently on point...And that's what you want. Something that is (*occasionally nice if you get the right day/server*) is of no use to any random punter is it. I'd say I've go here once every couple of months or quarter on average, for almost the last 15 years. It's 100% the best in the area, as I've tried them at least once. Most others, obviously use shop bought, wholesale frozen kebab from Booker or something similar. Nothing wrong it I guess, it's not offensive. Actually. it's perfectly nice, and I'd buy it again no problem. Just know what you're putting your money to, and it's worth the extra here. I tried the wings on recommendation this time. They are small, and probably from iceland or something. But, they are they nicest cooked wings I've had for a while. My problem with them, no sauces were offered. You can't serve wings without sauce Kebelite!

As usual, the food was exceptional. We've been frequenting this place for years now and the lamb shish never disappoints. Only thing missing is homemade bread.

We went for large Donnas and chips which were HUGE! All tasted great, and the chips were perfect!! It's always been the best in Maidenhead and still is 😁

The menu is well designed to suit 99.9% of tastes. Your food is cooked and prepared in front of you and you can see just how clean it is.

Avoid. Ordered delivery. Said delivery was 45-1 hour so ordered in line with that. Food arrived in 15 min. All stone cold. Never again.

Stopped here for a very late takeaway lunch hubby and and I were hungry so we ordered chips which by the way were fresh and tasty and I had chicken shish hubby had a lamb shish and kofta kebab and very nice it was to a little on the dry side but delicious.

We order from here a lot as they are always friendly, food is lovely and good value for money. Would definitely recommend

the half pounder burgers are now served in a big floured bap to make them seem bigger. i prefer the traditional sesame seeded bun they used to do. not so heavy and didnt drown out the flavour of the burger. the chips are chips from iceland, dry and cold when you get them. much prefer fries. the donner meat is stiff and dry by the time you get it delivered. the chilli sauce is just a mush of blitz up red chilli and water. since corona they now charge delivery which used to be free before. taiking advantage of desperate people who need food. was great ten years ago but sadly now put profit before customer satisfaction. shame.

Long-standing Kebab Elite have been THE go-to kebab shop in Maidenhead. Even though they have changed owners over the years, they know their stuff and their food is great. Before being vegetarian, I always had their lamb donor and chicken shish with a portion of chips - and was always delicious. Nowadays I only have their falafel (without pitta bread), which is very good indeed (but they do sometimes good it a touch too long). Chips are certainly the best in town, and their salad and garlic sauce are great. Great for whenever you are hungry. Negative points: 1. Most of the time the food has been put in polystyrene containers (not eco friendly), and which are a problem when chips are placed in them directly (starts to melt the container and leaves a plastic taste to the 'culprit' chips. 2. Price has gone up, but then again the prices have increased everywhere... Nevertheless - if you are hungry, this is the place to go. Great quality food at a good price.

After a long day zigzagging between the limited hostelries in Maidenhead, me and Old Trout (girlfriend) developed a craving for a lamb donner to bring us back down a bit from our alcohol high before we headed home. Having used this place off and on for the last 20 years we thought we’d try it after it had moved from the salubrious Bridge street to top of the town, King street.. After being served by the charming Mohammed or Ali, I must say it lived up to expectations.. Way better than the questionable meat wrapped in inner soles you get served elsewhere.. While eating we rolled along the wall a couple of doors to the nearby U-Want taxi service who safely shovelled us home..

My favourite and one and only place to get the best kebab ever!!! The portions are generous, the service always good and friendly. Food always freshly prepared.

We tried this place while visiting the area. Between us we had a Doner Kebab, a Shiesh Kebab and a Kofte Kebab (so a good selection from the menu). I am pleased to say we all enjoyed a great Kebab, each one was cooked fresh in front of us, salad and sauce added as requested. Chips were tasty. The place has a 5 star hygiene rating and it does look very clean. The gentleman serving was friendly and polite. We were all happy with our meal and I would recommend this place if you are looking for a classic, well made kebab.

Best Kebabs ever that are cooked fresh to order the only downside is that they don't take card payments.

There are times when only a Doner will do and on days like that we count ourselves lucky to have the Kebab Elite available here in town. Freshly made, fully loaded and don't forget the chili sauce!

Ordered a simple take away of 4 doner kebabs, no jalapenos were included - WHY ? Also the whole kebab was just so greasy.....last kebab that we're having from here (same problem last time, but thought a 2nd chance is fair).

I visited on a recommendation of friend and ordered a Lamb Shashlic with no pitta bread and chips. When I got home I found the lamb in a pita bread that I didn't want. I counted just 6 small pieces of lamb and and loads of mushrooms and nothing else. The taste of the lamb was ok but not brilliant. Normally with a Shashlic you have some other ingredients such as onions, peppers etc and clearly more meat than I got for the price of £8.50. Might not sound allot but when I have to cook myself something else as I was hungry I feel somewhat cheated. Very expensive for what I got

Always fresh, hot and authentically chargrilled! Large chicken shish - a superb, low fat, high protein and unbelievably tasty way to take care of even the biggest appetite! Always cooked perfectly, overladen and accompanied by an excellent salad! Highly recommended!!!!

Have been going here for many years now. The ONLY Kebab place to get the best kebab, no matter which one you choose, and always with a fresh salad added. Service always friendly and efficient. And now they also do home delivery - fantastic!

I ended up getting recommended by a friend who lives in Maidenhead to visit this place and eat a chicken kebab while I was visiting Maidenhead earlier this month.

We love the chicken kebabs and salad with lemon juice, it's always very fresh and the beef burgers are very good too.

I realised today that I've been using Kebab Elite since I moved to the area 10 years ago. It hasn't changed a bit. Best Doner I've had and the chicken/lamb shish are excellent too. Chips are superb. Recommend the chilli sauce.

Always fresh kebabs, everything is prepared while you wait. I've visited numerous times and never had a bad experience. The portion size is massive and tasty. Perfect after a few pints! I always go large and never finish it (which happens very rarely).Iv eaten many kebabs all over England and this place is the best.

Used kebab elite for many kebab delivery orders. Always good and fast with a fresh pot of salad with each kebab.It's a kebab delivery/ takeaway but reliable good food and great for a quick meal.

OK, I'm happy somewhere open late where I can purchase decent food. I kinda just went in on the off-chance. Ordered my vegetarian meal of veggie burger, halloumi and chips. The chips were twice fried, hand cut/chipped and delicious. The halloumi perfect and veggie burger tasty. Overall very impressed. Five star food and safety rating too :)

Had large chicken shish, salad, pitta and chilli sauce plus pot of houmous, really good, make sure you are very hungry as portions very generous. YUM!

After being let down by the restaurant in the Holiday Inn and sending a tiny overpriced steak back I needed something to eat quickly.I checked out TripAdvisor and gave these guys a try and they did not disappoint.They delivered really quickly and the mixed kebab was spot on. As others have mentioned the meet is of good quality and the home made chips a nice brake from the norm.Well done Kebab Elite I will use you next time I'm in the area, and you might want to have a chat with the Chef at the Holiday Inn about portion control and the impact it has on customer satisfaction!

Had a mid of a journey to try their food as according to TripAdvisor is good and with no regret.The place is fairly clean, good customer service and the food delicious followed by generous portion size.Beware parking can be a bit of a struggle.

After visiting this kebab shop regularly for at least 20 years, I can honestly say that this is the only kebab shop to visit in Maidenhead. My fiancé and I come here at least once a week and we have never had any problems. Their chicken shish or chicken shashlik are highly recommended. It's lovely being able to see their friendly staff cooking the chicken in front of you.I have seen very few changes at the Kebab Elite over the years, but why change perfection!

I haven't had such a good kebab since I left Paris. Really good chilli sauce, although it will never be the same as harissa... no complaints, good & friendly service, quick delivery, all good. I became a regular customer!

I've been to many kebab places, but this place was delicious. Unlike other kebab shops, this place clearly has good quality meat. I had the lamb shish with lamb donner and it was clearly real lamb. Absolutely delicious! Give it a try, like me, you won't be dissapointed

I've eaten in many of Maidenhead and it's surrounding area's finest Michelin starred restaurants but you can't beat a kebab from Kebab Elite. Keep it up boys.

A great choice for considered late night dining. Not the only choice in town but stands well compared with the competition. A selection of tasty kebabs, with all the usual accompaniments and garnishes. Recommend.

I decided to come here while for a pre-match meal while I was in Maidenhead as I didn't have a great amount of time available to me and I needed something quick. I've walked past this place a few times before without going inside, so I thought that it would be a good idea to give it a try. Takeaways usually aren't my thing, particularly when it comes to kebabs. However, as far as takeaways go, this place is really good. The food obviously isn't of the same standard that one would receive in a restaurant, but I wouldn't complain if I was served this food in one. This place is much better than your average kebab shop. Their chilli sauce is sludgy and tastes like tinned tomatoes though, so this is probably best avoided.The menu is pretty typical for a kebab shop, with most of the food being either kebabs or burgers. Surprisingly chicken barely features at all here outside of kebabs and burgers, with chicken wings and chicken nuggets being the only two options. The menu is small in size and there isn't much to choose from, but this is pretty typical of kebab shops in general. They serve a couple of large mixed kebabs, but the menu doesn't list what these include and you have to ask if you wish to find out. None of the side dishes were outlandish, with all of these being typical kebab shop items, although fish fingers were perhaps a little unusual. Some of the more surprising items on the menu included falafel, which is homemade rather than being a pre-made item. Homemade food is rare to see in general in takeaways and they seem to do homemade baklava for dessert as well, while pre-packed items such as apple pie and ice cream were also on sale. As I wanted to try a few things, I made a fairly large order that I was unable to eat in its entirety. I ended up ordering a mixed kebab, a side of chips and the baklava.I tried the chips first and, as far as takeaway chips go, these were pretty decent, especially coming from a kebab shop, where they are never usually great. They weren't all that crisp on the outside, but they were somewhat firm with a hint of crispiness to them, while the insides were soft and a little fluffy. They also seemed to have a fair amount of flavour to them as well, which meant that salt or vinegar wasn't a necessity. The mixed kebab came with lamb döner, chicken shish and lamb kofte. I also had this with all the salad as well as chilli sauce. The lamb döner seemed to be a bit better than it typically is, since this wasn't as greasy as it tends to be in most places. There were also a few herbs added to the meat, which gave it a greater depth of flavour, which was certainly more pleasing. The meat itself was very typical of döner meat, tasting the same as it does everywhere else. The chicken shish was undoubtedly the worst of the three meats in the kebab, which is saying a lot given that I much prefer chicken over lamb. A couple of the pieces of chicken had a rubbery texture to them, but the majority of them were somewhat tender, although not notably so. In terms of flavour the chicken wasn't up to much and, while it did have some, it was still rather bland. The lamb kofte was the best of the three meats. This came as an incredibly large hunk of meat rather than individual chunks. Despite the sheer size of it, it managed to remain gristle-free, which was rather surprising. The meat itself had a great amount of flavour, which was further boosted by the plentiful herbs and spices used during its preparation. The lamb was somewhat dry though, so it wasn't all that great. I asked for all the salad, but this only includes onion, tomato and cucumber here. Unfortunately the usual pickled chillis that every other kebab place has seemed to be unavailable here. The salad was almost entirely onion, which was sliced incredibly thinly, as I only had one slice of cucumber and two small slices of tomato with my order. None of the salad was up to much at all and it had quite a bland flavour, with the onion provided nothing other than a slight crunch.The chilli sauce was undoubtedly the worst part of it. Unlike the usual chilli sauce that most places serve, theirs is different here. Instead of being a runny sauce, it is a thick, lumpy sludge. This sludge doesn't taste like chilli at all either, with it having a subtle tomato flavour instead.The pitta bread, which was left at the bottom unfolded, was excessively soggy where it had soaked up the moisture from the rest of the food.The baklava were nice in some ways, but lacking in others. The bottom layer was incredibly moist, where it had soaked up a lot of syrup. The syrup seemed to be runny rather than thick, as the baklava felt rather wet, while it also wasn't sticky. The syrup was really sweet and this provided a nice contrast to the pastry on top, which seemed somewhat savoury. The top layer of pastry was also incredibly dry and this too worked well in contrast with the excessively moist bottom layer. Unfortunately, while I felt that they got these textures right and the syrup was fine, the filling inside was incredibly lacking. I'm not sure what this was supposed to be, but it was nothing other than a mushy mess, which didn't seem to have any flavour whatsoever.The staff in here providing the service do a rather average job and there was nothing about them that made them stand out as anything better than the rest. It was simply a case of placing your order at the counter and then having it given to you once it was done. Most of the food is cooked to order though, which is undoubtedly a positive. While the staff themselves were fine, there was a man stood around not doing anything, who may have been the manager. This man stared at every customer inside the shop for long periods, which felt somewhat uncomfortable. The shop would definitely be better off without him around as there are plenty of staff available to take care of things.The prices here seemed to be fairly typical for a takeaway kebab shop. A small portion of chips were below £2, while it cost about 50p more to upgrade to a large portion. A beef burger cost just over £2, although the chicken burgers were a fair bit more expensive, coming in at over £3. The prices of the kebabs ranged between £5-12, with most of them being between £6 and £8. The baclava cost just over £2 for four, while the other desserts were below £1. While none of these prices are expensive, food never is in places like this and it's not as though there were any bargains to be found either.The place looks more or less like a typical kebab shop inside, which means that there isn't really anything to look at other than the kitchen, which is perhaps a bit larger than most, as it extends a fair way back and you are able to see the whole area. Other than a menu, there is nothing on the walls and it is all left rather plain. The counter at the front of the shop has some of the various kebabs out, all of which in their uncooked state, which is nice to see as other places display these pre-cooked instead. There's very little space for customers inside the restaurant as this is a rather narrow shop and the kitchen takes up the vast majority of the area inside.

My family and I have been ordering takeaways in maidenhead since 2008. We have always found the best food from kebab elite. Excellent service and cooking, it is always on time and very fresh. Will continue for many more years.

Love the Donna meat with chips , but when having a large can I have more meat please. .... your Donna is so nice I love it maybe make a extra extra large Donna and chips size...... also the chilli sauce is to die for

My mate and I were heading to Maidenhead for a concert and were in the mood for a kebab. I used TripAdvisor to search for a highly rated kebab place and found Kebab Elite. WHAT A GREAT PLACE! It's only take away (take out) but the food is DELICIOUS! They guys behind the counter were also very nice and accommodating and even recommended a taxi for us. I had the chicken kebab with a great chili sauce. Chips (french fries) were also delicious. I highly recommend Kebab Elite!

not cheap, but you pay for what you get. We have used kebab elite for years and the service and food is outstanding to say the least. The staff are BEYOND friendly, deliveries literally take around 15-20 minutes, the chicken shish kebabs are my personal favourite as they just taste amazing and you get so much chicken inside the pita bread. If you want a GOOD quality kebab place, this is the place to go!!

I am not a big fan of fast food but lamb shish at this place is absolutely delicious. I don't know what they put in the meat but you always want it :) I haven't tried other dishes and to tell the truth don't want to but I would definitely recommend lamb shish. Will probably get it tomorrow )) Plus they work till 11 pm which is a plus if you come back from a night out hungry ) They also have a delivery in Maidenhead but I think it is usually tastier when you go there and pick it up yourself.

My usual here is the small chicken. Chicken is grilled to perfection in front of you and I choose the salad and chilli sauce.The small size is usually enough. The large one - well, it can be large.Now the chips I find great too - tasty and well cooked and a big portion.

I eat loads of kebabs, usually shish Chicken or Lamb with he odd doner and kofte every so often, but none of them from Central London to Reading compare with the Kebab Elite. For 22 years they have been consistently good, and still great value for money. Rarely the need to go large, the small ones are simply big enough and the chips are awesome. Always have been. Never change !

Just when you really need a kebab these guys deliver the tastiest Kebab you could want. The only down side and it is a small one. They don't do Naan bread. I would prefer my Kebab on a Naan

Since being introduced kebab elite by my girlfriend a couple of years ago, I've not found anywhere that comes close. Their chicken shish kebab is the best that I've had, and believe me I've tried loads of kebabs (My waste line will forgive me one day!). As per other reviews, they're not cheap, but at the end of the day quality does cost more. If you're after a tasty kebab then get on down to Kebab Elite. They've been with us since 1982 and I know why.

Hi I have been here a quite few times and go for the Lamb shish. I have been coming for 10 years and the flavour of the marinade was very good, then OK but on this visit was very good. Lots of salad and the bread was very good . Chips were very good as well. although would have been nicer slightly crispier. The steak is well cooked on the grill and tasted good. My only gripe is that the price is higher that it used to be. Although burger are normal price. Would I go back - yes I would

Forget your stereotypical donor place serving filthy food to drunks, this place is outstanding. The food is fresh and really good value, they even make their own chilli sauce, which is addictive. If Adam Richman lived in Maidenhead this would be his regular !

Quite simply the best in town. Fresh ingredients, tasty food. Not a lover of fast food but I have no hesitancy going here if I fancy a nice freshly cooked chicken kebab. Recommended.
