Kaz's Restaurant & Lounge in Harlow

It is such a shame as the food was delicious. Our friends are very regular customers. We had our starter in a timely manner but waited an hour and a half after that for out main course. The excuse, there was a big party in. People came in after us and got served before us. We feel priority was put on the delivery which seemed to go out at least every five minutes.. Sorry but we have been to zaiika in Epping which is much busier and the service is next to none . Don't forget your regulars as they are the real face of your business not the occasional work do bookings. You really let our friend down.

As a local my family are frequent visitors to Kas.The quality of food the wonderfull relaxing ambience and service is always First Class. Please don't be put off by the exterior

Really disappointed this evening. Normally have really wonderful food NFirstly my daughter ordered a king prawn dish. She has not eaten meat for years. This prawn dish on menu did not state it contained lamb mince. So it appeared to be perfectly fine for vegetarians and pescatarians. She took a mouthful. And was so sick and upset. This is certainly not good enough kaz. And a refund of 12 pound is certainly not good enough. Also the missing onion bhaji. Which we received half an hr after we had finished our meal. Did not go down well. This has caused so much upset .

The staff were fantastic and the wide selection of dishes (some were genuine food that we eat in India) means that I’ll definitely come back to Kaz’s

Had a meal last night from here and the pillau rice was just a load of overcooked stodge which no self respecting chef would have sent out and it spoilt the whole meal, Have used before and apart from missing the odd side from order no problem but will try somewhere else next time.

I'm impressed that delivery guy was wearing mask and very polite? Food is always yummy and not greasy 😋 Only this time wasn't as hot so had to warm up rice in microwave.

Had a takeaway from Kay’s last night but very disappointed I can say I am very experienced at eating Indian food recon I have visited 70% of the restaurants in my area and lives in Sri Lanka But found this place a disappointment had four children dishes and all tasted the same just a different sauce some of the sauce had no taste at all as for the niramish it was 90% potatoes and the onion Bhajee the oil was running out of the bag I think a lot depends on the chief at these places and where they come from ie Indian ,Bangladesh or even Sri Lanka maybe I got the wrong one but will not return as locally we have some great Indian restaurants

First time i have used this eaterie, wont be the last, food was very good, cant fault it. Ordered a Chicken Tikka Curry, Pilau Rice and Bombay Potatoes. Meal was delivered within the designated time, all round good service.

Last night we visited Kaz's as a table of 10 people for a family members Birthday. The table was booked in advance for 18:30 and everyone apart from myself was on time and I was due to join them once I had finished work! The order was placed around 19:30 and unfortunately nobody ate until 21:00 it was an incredibly long wait with no apologies from staff, or much communication at all. The food itself was alright but after the stupidity long wait I think we would of eaten anything!

This is the best Indian local to me, the food is delicious, the service is great and the team are really friendly. I always try different things on the menu and have never been disappointed

the staff are very friendly and the food was served in a relatively reasonable time. . The only reason I didn't give It 5 Stars is there's no real cosy Corner for just two people

I like passanda and have tried many places but Kaz is exceptional and does the best one. I like the almonds and sultanas in this. I’m a vegetarian so only have the sauce now but it’s still good. Their food is not priced too high and the offer a discount o home delivery. Always very friendly when visiting the restaurant.

A group of us from work, 6 people, went Dec 2018 and had a delightful meal. The service was ever so slightly slow for us, as we had 1 child with us aged 5, but once the food came out you couldnt fault it. One colleague of mine said it was the best bhuna he'd ever had. The naans were really freshly cooked and not those limp floppy thick ones some places do. They were neatly chopped into 4 pieces too so it wasnt flung onto a plate, dangling over the edge - again like some places. The value for money was brilliant. 6 of us ate, with enough left over for 1 take away goodie bag for just £91 on the Tuesday 2 for £22 deal. On this deal you got 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 rices, 1 side and 1 naan for £22. Even the drinks prices were reasonable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Toilets were being freshly painted. They do a Banquet Deal on a Wednesday too, for one person, for £12.95. Have already booked to go back in 2 days time.

Me and some friends went there few weeks ago.From the outside it was a little intimidating as i really wasn’t sure if i should park my car outside as the area looked a little rough but still risked it.When going inside the restaurant it was very nicely refurbished and decorated .It had a very warm and welcoming feeling.Staff were friendly and helpful when unsure about their food menu.I would recommend their Lamb Korma, it was absolutely beautifully cooked .I will surely visit again and shame weMissed out on their Thursday Offer as we went on a Friday.Thursday’s they do special set menu prices so make sure you have a look .Food 9/10Service 10/10Cleanliness 10/10Parking 8/10Atmosphere 8/10

We visited here thinking it was the new Bishal as advertised however the restaurant was called Kaz. We actually rung when we was outside to confirm this was the old Bishal and was told it was. It sounded busy for a snowy night then I noticed it was banquet night which was £12.95 a head for starter, main, side dish, rice or nan which seemed good value. On arrival the restaurant was divided in 2 with a young family this side and several tables the other side so we asked to sit the busier side of the wall. Our drinks and Popadom order was taken when we sat down and were given menus including the banquet one. There were extra costs for king prawn dishes and other dishes which is usual with banquet nights. The Popadom’s and drinks arrived promptly and the condiments looked different and intriguing which were very nice. I then noticed that the other tables seemed to know one another although not sitting together so there was a lot of shouting to one another including swearing and football banter across the restaurant. I am no prude and a football fan but there is a time and a place for everything. As our starters arrived it was apparent that one table had been waiting a long time for their main course and aired their frustration at the restaurant staff very angrily causing the whole restaurant to go quiet and from then on the atmosphere was terrible. We got our main course fairly quickly which was enjoyable but by this time we just wanted to pay and leave. On paying our bill the waiter apologised for the outburst however he advised it was a birthday celebration and people had turned up uninvited. I asked why they was all not sat together and was then advised that the party had booked all the tables in that half of the restaurant but had not turned up. Knowing this I would of expected to have been sat on the “quieter” side of restaurant!!

Literally just finished our Friday night takeaway. First time ordering and safe to say it will be our last. Food was bland wish I kept my £30 and popped something in the oven.

Having been told that the Bishal was closing and moving into Kas's we had a couple of takeaways which were fine but the one we had on 14/1/18 was terrible,over spiced and tough old lumps of lamb so will be trying the garden of india next time or the Moonlight.

I recently ordered a take away from Kaz's Indian Restaurant for the fist time tonight and I can safely say it was the worst Indian I have ever had, the food was very bland oily and to top it off they forgot two items from my order (not happy) I shall not be going back.

First time at Kaz's but the friendly waiters from the now closed bishal restaurant were there and very welcoming. The restaurant was busy with large family groups but they managed the service effortlessly. The food was delicious, great atmosphere, within walking distance, will definitely be back!

Last night tried their Tuesday night deal - 2 for £22 consists of any 2 starters, any 2 main dish, any 2 rice, I side dish and 1 nan from their selected menu. Dishes chosen were Garlic Chicken Tikka Massala and Malayan Chicken Tikka both absolutely superb. Not the first time we have ate here probably 5th or 6th and pleased every time, it's now becoming a popular restaurant so would recommend booking if you want to eat in, of course they provide a takeaway service (free delivery over £15). Plenty of parking close by. Only drawback wheelchair access currently very tight.

Kaz de me cobraron demasiado por lo que pedí. (descubrí después de pedir, con su menú en línea para los precios) y que nos llevó más de 30 minutos de tiempo de unos 45 a pesar de que se entrega un minuto (que estaba trabajando y no permite abandonar las instalaciones, no siendo perezosos). La comida era la peor que he tenido últimamente de un restaurante indio, obviamente he sido estropeada últimamente! ! No será con ellos de nuevo.

Just had an excellent takeaway meal .I highly recommend it. It took a while to be delivered but it was worth the wait.

We had never eaten in this restaurant until asked to go with our good friends last Monday evening. We were so glad we did; the food was nice & hot, very tasty & nicely presented. They toned down the spices , cooked with less onions when asked, I was presently surprised the restaurant is classy, clean & welcoming. We had another booking for the following Saturday with different friends, I was looking forward to going again. We were looked after, we had a nicely positioned table & tried different foods of the menu & we were just as delighted! What a gem & yes we will definitely visit again.

Food was dry, and tasteless. no spices used. very bland. We had several dishes and they were all bad. So its not that a particular dish needed some work, its all of them. Very dissapointed

Visited just prior to Christmas, so was very busy, but this did not deflect from the excellent service and food. Dishes will be cooked to your taste, which in my opinion is highly commendable. Thank you Kaz's

Entering the restaurant you discover the beautiful decor and are immediately made welcome. There is a wide menu to cover all tastes and clearly explained. The bar is well-stocked. Kaz himself is an experienced restauranteur and was available all night. He has excellent and efficient staff .The food was plentiful and delicious, and, as customers, we had meals of varying spiciness and all four of us were very impressed.Above all the bill was very reasonable compared to other Indian restaurants I frequent and this was not reflected in the quality of food.Well done to Kaz and his team.

Kaz's is the the best Indian restaurant I have tried so far.All the dishes are good (only tried mild ones but they have a wide selection of mild ones, which is well appreciated!) and we've never been disappointed.Korma is delicious as well as the tikka masala. Chicken and lamb are always very tender and perfectly cooked.Prices are correct (around £25 for two with starters, 2 rices, 2 mains, nan, popodom....etc) and we usually eat for dinner and the following lunch, so....good value !It's our little treat! Nom nom!Try it!

I ordered on line via Just Eat. the food was ready as stated and tasted delicious. upon arrival ( I choose to collect) I was shown to a waiting area with plenty of papers to read. The restaurant was well light and the sound of music could be heard playing in the back ground but not to loud that is was a distraction as can be the case in some restaurants.

Wide variety of dishes offered by the restaurant. Very authentic and the tandoori king prawns is a must try for anyone who loves prawn. The curries will tickle your tastebud as well as the sides. Definitely recommend anyone to try it if you love Indian food.

This is now my favourite indian restaurant in Harlow. There is plenty of food (we have never managed to finish it, but that's nothing new"). The staff seem genuinely friendly, but not overly attentive which you get in some places. We tend to eat quite early, but always greeted with a smile. The food is great, all served hot. The prices are similar to others in Harlow, but cheaper than Indian Moments which we are not keen on anyway.

We ordered a delivery from Kaz's restaurant last night and we were not disappointed.The food arrived hot and at exactly the specified time.The delivery driver was pleasant and helpful and he even managed to find our house, which is hidden away in the middle of nowhere, without trouble!Every element of our meal was very tasty and the portions were generous.We will definitely order again and again!

I have been to a few Curry Houses in Harlow since moving here, but none of them are as good. Highly recommended.

Very disappointed with our first visit. Even though we booked they didn't have a table for us and they tried to squeeze us in around the waiting area. Eventually we got a table in one section nearer the main dinning area. The food took a very long time to turn up, over an hour in fact. All in all a very slow service and very slow to clear tables. We decided not to stay for tea and coffee as we couldn't bear the wait.No hand wipes came out and when we eventually got the bill, we had to add it up ourselves! ! The food itself wasn't too bad. Shame really.

Had a takeaway from kaz tonight, we usually go into the resturant, (too cold out) The food is amazing tasted like we was sitting in. Excellent portion. Hot and flowing with loads of flavours. Ordered threw just eat, delivery was quick. Still excellent service either sitting in or takeaway. Best Indian in harlow. The bad side is not having the wonderfull staff, who are excellent. Friendly staff who helped to choose a varied and tasty meal. Clean and tidy restaurant ,tastefully decorated. Very quiet when we went on a Monday evening. Food beautifully cooked and plenty of it, good choice on the menu with some English dishes if required.

Nice place to meet up for an evening, Kaz's has a lounge area to hang in before you sit down to eat. The food is amazing and the hospitality is first class.

A contender, currently one of the best locally (within 12 miles), the food is yum and the staff are great, catch it before they get complacent, although hopefully this wont happen.

We have just got in, it's Saturday 15th August, my husband, and i decided we would try kaz's indian resturant. This was our 1st visit here. When we walked in we noticed the resturant was decorated to a very high standard, and very clean. The staff approached us and we're very friendly. They sat us down the service we received was truly amazing. We ordered our food starting with starters. Then main course then desert. Omg!!! The food was tremendously to a very high standard. Hot threw and threw. And a very huge quantity. My husband and I enjoyed the food the resturant, the ambience. The staff were attentive and very helpful. We usually go to other indian restaurants near by. Would we recommend this resturant to other people? A most definitely. I would use this resturant again. Yes that's definitely. The best Indian resturant in harlow. Even the manager made an effort to speak to his customers. Well done kaz and staff. Amazing food amazing resturant, an amazing night. And not very expensive. Well done 10/10. We will be back.

Upon arrival, you see The restaurant is decorated to a high standard and staff are friendly and helpful. 4 of us visited and we were seated and treated with a friendly welcome. Food is served decorated beautifully with presentation 100% in mind. Taste wise it's out of this world! Flavoursome and hot temperature wise when dished up, bans were fluffy and tasty. Portions are plenty. Drinks were refilled instantly and we were given complementary shorts at the end of the night. We will be back for more. Service is second to none and well worth it. Lastly, the toilets are clean & spotless -important I think?!AND... Rejoice! There's free parking outside! You won't be disappointed!

Ordered a big takeaway at peak time on a Friday night and it was delivered in less than an hour. Great food and great service.

We went with another couple to Kaz last night, what a great meal very polite staff we all felt very welcome. Food was very tasty we enjoyed the whole evening will definitely being returning. Well done Kaz see you soon.

Made this my regular as the food is good quality and outstanding. The waiters are polite and welcoming. The owner goes that one step further to make sure everything is perfect. If you don't like something in a dish they will Change the ingredients. The best Indian food I have tasted. I even have my own special dish made. Perfect for me as I'm a fussy eater.

The problem with eating here, is that you cannot stop eating. Thoroughly delicious food and fabulous service. Enough said!

We thought we'd try this for the first time last night as we had heard good reports and have been a bit disappointed with our usual one in town. The delivery arrived in good time. there are so many curry houses in this country now that I feel like Gorden Ramsey when I go into them, I always want to find something to give me a reason to dislike it so I can keep looking elsewhere. Well this one is a gem, it looks like an old pub from the outside, but inside it is large, spacious and well lit. The decor and service are fantastic and the food is really great. It is easy to screw up a curry house, but if the food here stays like this in the future then these guys have no problem.

On way home managed to call Kazs in Coppice Hatch for a takeaway, called them at 9.45pm to collect at 10pm, thought i would get a NO. but a yes got there just in time food stays well hot in the serving containers. Food as good as always and well hot!TY

I came here with my boyfriend as we were celebrating our anniversary and I have to be honest, this restaurant is a gem! The food was delicious, literally the nicest indian cuisine I've ever had, the decor is gorgeous and the staff are welcoming and very friendly. Please do not read too much into negative comments, you really must try I guarantee you will not be disappointed. There's free parking if you're driving. They do takeaway and home delivery, I know because since coming here beginning July, I've eaten there twice again! I must suggest the Golden Massala, one of their chef specialities, best dish ever! I can't recommend this enough.

Yes we went here last night drinks all warm, the lamb shank charged me £13.00 and it came to the table in like a coconut semolina thick and set with a bone and few pices of meat for £ 13 discusting, the best thing is the popadom starter, soooooo dissapionted I will be phoning to complain.The food is defanatly not my standard I wish I had a gone to the pub in hand lane.This resturant is a waist of monie bill was £81.00 for 4

I have eaten here four times now so feel well qualified to review this new addition to Harlow's restaurant scene. Firstly, it is beautifully appointed with an expensively decorated modern dining room with extremely comfortable chairs and a brightly lit bar. There's a spacious, comfortable lounge area for takeaway customers or for predinner drinks. The service is warm and friendly and, obviously the most important thing, the cuisine is of a very high standard indeed. Like most Brits I have been eating "Indian" for decades but you will find exotic dishes here that you've never encountered. For example, they provide three special seafood dishes; the Surma Special is a delicious crab/king prawn medley in a medium sauce. The more traditional Dansak is exceptional and the Vindaloo is not just a fiery and tasteless plate but is bursting with flavour. The prices are low for this calibre of food and a bonus is the draught Cobra which is only £3.45 a pint, very cheap for quality beer in a restaurant, you must agree. Kaz's is open 7 nights a week from 5.30 and has my family's unreserved recommendation.
