Just popped in after a long day out. Welcomed and seated very efficiently. Fees and Pinot Grigio selected as considered menu., bread and olives arrived on complimentary basis. Tabbouleh was excellent, very refreshing and good accompaniment to Borek. The Adana lamb lofted was very tasty and a substantial dish. The chicken thighs was a less substantial dish but extremely flavoursome.Good Tempranillo by the glass

The Savoy Grill

28/09/2020: My wife and I visited last week for a dinner reservation on the first night of the new Covid rules, meaning the restaurant would have to close at 10pm. Luckily it didn't detract at all from a very pleasant night and I have to say, the Grill looked completely normal and completely full. The servers are in masks but the room is already well laid out for distancing so once you're in a booth (as we were given) you are a long way from any other diner. The Grill has only recently reopened and yet as regular guests over the years, it looked almost back to the way things were. For our meal this evening we opted for a starter of Smoked salmon and mains of: Duck à l'orange and Whole butter poached lobster with yuzu gel and bisque. Our dessert was the Apple tarte tatin for two.My starter was fine, if a little boring, but my Duck was perfectly cooked and delicious. My wife's lobster was really good but it went cold on her quite quickly. She ate it anyway but I think with hindsight and at £65, she should have sent it back. The tarte tatin was excellent as always and we enjoyed it very much.Overall, we had a lovely meal but as the restaurant only opened this week, I'm going to give it some slack on any niggles. The food was very good, the service friendly and without fault. Our bill came to £262 or £131 per head which with Champagne, wine and coffee was very good value. It's a wonderfully atmospheric and historic venue and you can't help but enjoy the experience.
06/05/2020: We had a fabulous evening at The Savoy Grill, despite it being very, very, busy we were treated as though we were royalty. The staff are obviously highly trained in providing an exceptional dining experience and the atmosphere and food is fantastic. Definitely worth a visit, we will return.
