The service was very slow. The price in the bills was different to the one on menu. The food was terrible. The sushi was not from a fresh ingredients. Not recommending this place at all!

Definitely the worst sushis I've ever eaten, and I went to hundreds of sushis restaurants. First off all, the rice was overcooked, tested more like a purée rice than sushis rice, the avocado was either too hard, either watery, but there wasn't a single one that was good or had any fat, which is how avocado is supposed to taste like. And overall the fish had a watery taste. Second of all, the chef didn't even know what ingredients every meal had and what was on the menu., which is unbelievable. I ordered the spicy tuna, was described as : 'tuna, avocado, tobiko, miso, aioli and crest''. The chef brings my spicy tuna with cucumber instead of avocado, and no tobiko, I then tell the waiter for them to exchange and put what was written on the menu, they bring back the spicy tuna, with avocado this time, but again no nobiko. You order something from this restaurant, they forget to put half of the ingredients, that is if the chef even knows what's on the menu or he just does them randomly. The only professional person there was the waiter, otherwise the food was simply terrible and the chef had no idea about the food that he was cooking. I think the positive comments must have been written by the restaurant itself, otherwise I don't know how anyone in their right mind would think that those sushis were even 5% good. Don't waste your money here, even Itsu is better than this.

Avoid definitely this place. I was there for dinner and I simply froze to death as they do not heat the room - some of the waiters even have a coat on for the cold. The restaurant seems also to have very low hygienic conditions, the floor was covered with dust and pieces of food. Tables are not clean, same for fork, knives, etc. I was not given anything to drink. Waiters do not seem to care. I had wagyu burgher, which was nice except that the meat was flooded with pepper (I don’t think you would do that with good quality meat)

This must be one of the worst if not THE WORST meal that I've had in a while. Went there based on positive online reviews, which turned out to be a grave mistake. By the way who wrote all these raving reviews? Are they related to the restaurant or have they simply never had authentic (or even just tasty albeit not authentic) Japanese food before? Place was completely dead on a Thursday night (one other couple came in to dine a bit later on). Ordered some basic rolls and the "sashimi mix" which was supposed to come with three different types of fish. Bottle of wine ordered which didn't arrive until the first dish was served, and we were the only customers in the entire restaurant at that point. As for that first dish, a plate of two types of sashimi was plonked on our table with no explanation - it was not what we ordered, and it wasn't the right quantity either. Had to chase after the waitress to query this (she was busy doing something behind the bar, not sure what as we still haven't received the wine. She also did not appear to have an understanding of the menu), was told that they've run out of the third type of fish. How they thought that they could just change our order without first checking with us - or simply informing us what happened when it was delivered - was beyond me. More confusion ensued when a manager-type joined the conversation who said she would check with the kitchen whether they've run out. So is it or is it not out of stock? (It was, as it turned out). Now to the food. Rice was mushy, overcooked and overall disgusting. I have eaten in Japan many a times and have also frequented good Japanese restaurants all over the world - this is not how Japanese rice should look or taste like. Tuna in the rolls looked like it's been mauled by a dog with bad teeth, tempura prawns in the rolls were stone cold and definitely not freshly cooked (one of them actually tasted off). Soggy seaweed, overcooked teriyaki with a horrible, distinctly non-Japanese sauce, tuna sashimi that was treated with salt water (this is what restaurants do when they use unfresh/non-sashimi grade fish). Everything was just absolutely abysmal and an insult to Japanese food - and we had the privilege of paying over £83 for two for the experience. Absolutely outrageous. Nice view of the river though!

the best Japanese in Greenwich I love the service , the location by the river and the food is great. Good value for money. Must try it out if around!

This Japanese restaurant is loved by the locals. It’s a hidden gem of Greenwich with delicious authentic food, friendly staff and great ambiance. We live locally and love to come for dinner. Highly recommend ⭐️

Very nice spot, along the river with amazing view. the service is very good and not pretentious (like other places in Greenwich) the food is great every single time I go (sushi, poke, tataki....I tried several different dishes and all were excellent), furthermore is child-friendly. Strongly suggested!

Excellent value delicious Japanese food. The do hot mains as well as sushi and a children’s menu. They also provide highchairs and are happy to hear baby ready-meals if you bring one along. The staff are so friendly and couldn’t be more helpful. Highly recommend this lil gem overlooking the river Thames along Greenwich Peninsula.

What a great find. Love the food here & the friendly staff.Chicken & Salmon Teriyaki was very tasty and authentically cooked and served.The Sushi is beautifully presented too and full of flavour, great lunch deals and good menu at reasonable prices. We have been twice and will go back again.Nice position on the river Thames Greenwich peninsula a short stroll from old Greenwich along the Thames path.

Wow, wow, wow. This newly opened restaurant is highly recommendable. Great fresh food, very nice staff, good location and reasonable prices. Great value for money and best restaurant experience we had in years.
