KatiWok in Cardiff

I've used this place many times over the years but I find lately it's so hit and miss! Had the Asian beef katiroll today, the filling was very watery and tasted sour! Had all the of the katirolls many times before so know how they are when they are at there best, unfortunately this time wasn't great and I only ate half due to being very hungry after work! Otherwise I wouldn't of ate that much to be frank! Such a shame the consistency has slipped so much.

The food was awesome. Wraps were great, super tasty. Dumplings and samosa also great.

I ordered Mumbai Chicken tikka noodles and chicken wings today. But there is something definitely wrong with the noodles, they are smelling weird and not good in taste as well.Even the chicken wings were not fresh as well. I had high hopes from this but sorry to say not worth at all. Really disappointed

Been there 100 times to collect order never seen my order ready always saying wait 15-20mins after driving 10-15min to restaurant need to wait more not worth, very worthless PS: for customers if you in rush never order from here if so then don't blame your rider for long delays in your order

meh. used to love Katiwok, but seems like the foods gone downhill a bit, lacked flavour. not awful but bang average

Hella good. got a roll and some bhaji for six quid. bargain

the onion bhajis from here are mental

unfortunately, its not like what it was before. Bring 2017 katiwok back

The wrap was unappetising. Bread was uncooked in places and filling mushy. Not good.

We have had food poisoning here 3 times in the last 6 months. We like the flavours of the food but the food hygiene needs another look at.

I have tried Dosa and veg spring roll, amazing taste, great service and friendly staff👍

I love the food but today I am very disappointed, had to wait over 40 minutes in a quiet store for what is supposed to be fast street food.

Stunning as usual, tad spicer than usual tonight but still delicious best place around been getting food from here for many years and will continue to do so. Always polite on the phone and in store. Great for the whole family gurkha curry is amazing and the rice is always moist and full of flavour. Noodles are lovely good size portions and my favourite the kheer rice pudding downside is i could eat the entire thing to myself and want more :)

Great delivery time my wife enjoyed the noddles I had the pizza and wrap and for some reason it was ok but the Doug on pizza is a bit strange not for me the pizza next time but the noodles are amazing

Do not order direct from here. They’ve taken my money but no food!!! Not answering the phone either.

We placed an order through deliveroo ( we have ordered for years) and only 1 meal arrived when we ordered two.The owner has said that the driver stole the food and deliveroo have of course not commented on that but said there is nothing they can do. The driver at the time said the owner only gave one bag with one meal. The owner had told us he there is nothing he can do and he won’t use his drivers as it becomes his responsibility then?! Really shocked and never really leave reviews but why use deliveroo if they ‘always steal food’?! Won’t be ordering again and don’t advise anyone to either .Attitude from the owner is awful .

We’ve had takeaways from here for the last few years and it’s always been great. I like that they offer something a bit different to usual takeaways with the Kati Rolls (I like the Nepalese spinach and paneer Kati Roll). The onion bhajis and vegetable pakoras are really nice too. You can also choose how hot or mild you’d like your food to be. The food here’s reasonably priced and they deliver to a wide range of areas across Cardiff. I’ve always ordered from their own website.

Normally love the Asian beef noodle boxes but yesterday's boxes arrived really dry and the beef didn't taste right. Wife has also subsequently had a bad stomach.

Would recommend trying KatiWok's special noodles with prawns and chicken. Loved it.

Rice & noodles were tasteless, bland & undercooked. Meat within both was very sparse. Did not have dumplings so gave us spring rolls instead. Overpriced & poor quality food. Avoid.

Great pizzas and noodle! Tasty and lush portions!

Ordered curry sauce with my rice and some yoghurt mint sauce to help with the spice, neither of these were sent so I had to eat my rice dry and did not enjoy the meal. Called the restaurant straight away to see if the driver still had these in the car, they advised I didn't order any extra but hadn't even asked for my address - when I said yes I had and can see the order in front of me they then confirmed I had. If I'd have known I wouldn't have sauce I wouldn't have placed the order in the first place.

the spicy masala fries arrived cold, stale and spongy – completely inedible. the paneer wrap was nice albeit a bit dry, indo noodles were nice. overall a bit disappointed

Plus points on quality of food however the noodles lately has too much oil floating. Please improve this issue.

Noodles nice. Hot on arrival despite being late. Spring rolls and dumplings v nice. Recommended.

We hate mushrooms and noticed mushrooms where included in some meals so chose another one. The meal we chose mentioned "mixed vegetables" and no mushrooms but it was full of mushrooms (fungi). Wish the menu was a bit more consistent. Soggy chips.

Food was lovely as usual. Afghan chicken had a few bits of gristle in there but still delicious, dumpling soup was sooo nice and the curry is a great portion size would feed 2 people best thing was the fried rice been looking forward to it did not disappoint was quite a bit late but staff were lovely on the phone apologised and tried getting it out as soon as they could still warm so can't complain :)

Extremely disappointed tonight. For the second time, I have ordered a home delivery and there has been a problem with the driver. The first time I ordered from them, the food took 2 hours to arrive. This time, I ordered food and paid. I returned to the website to check where my food was and the order had been cancelled without informing me. I rang and was told again, a problem with the driver? Dont offer a delivery service if you can't provide one!

I ordered 2 beef and chicken noodles but unfortunately chicken and beef were on the low side and slightly overcooked. not what I expected from KatiWok as it is usually brilliant.

I adore katiwok, one of the best takeaways I always come back, the food is always pipping hot, always so good it never misses, fries are sometimes a hit or miss but still enjoy them a lot! My fave takeaway 10/10

Amazing service and delicious food! We had an issue with their website (payment went through but order wasn’t registered), but they were very helpful when we went there and in the end everything was fine. The owner and staff were very friendly and it shows that they really care about their customers - we will be ordering from them again!

Food was really good, but not packaged well. The soy sauce was spilled all through the bag. Delivery arrived on time and I will order again.

Ordered from Katiwok plenty of times and food is always perfect. Today's order however was delivered later than advised (although we were notified of the delay) & when it arrived both meals were much spicier than usual. We both ordered mild and both the katiroll & noodles were fairly spicy. Still tasty but not what we ordered.

Delivery was late but it was completely out of your hands with delivery driver being in a bump! Completely understandable however the food as per usual was outstanding! Still arrived hot even after being an hour late!!! Bit disappointed that on the meal it didn’t show the noodles anymore only the rice but it’s still good value for money with the flavours being amazing!!

Great food that took us straight back to the kitchens of Kathmandu. Came with lots of extra dipping sauces that were very very tasty. Hopefully the momos will be available without soup in the future as well!

First time I ordered from Katiwok for the kids and the order didn’t turn up. It’s been 2 hrs since placing my order. I ended up ordering from elsewhere and asking for a refund.

I had prawn crackers missing from my order. The portion of steamed rice for the curry was the smallest I've ever recieved from anywhere. Noodles were nice

Very stingy with the meat in the noodles! Ordered pepperoni and chicken on the pizza, couldn’t find any pepperoni! Couldn’t taste chicken in the dumplings.

OK food. Noodles were very tasty. Curry felt a bit 'formula' tho tbh! We were first in of the day and I asked for the snack bar table tops to be cleaned as they were not clean at all! Chap said they'd been done the night before! Clearly not tho!

The driver had gone to a different address and had called me from there. I think someone pointed out to him that he is in completely different area. He came and then delivered to the right address.

This was the worse food I had. The food was cold. The manager said next time I order he will put something free in for me. NO THANKS. I wanted my money back or free food next time. Awful food, awful service , awful delivery. Don’t bother folks

Interesting food. Food was late although not massively late. I loved the homemade Samosas - they were great with excellent portion size and definitely the best part of the meal. The Asian Beef Kati Roll was very underfilled - desperately needed some salad and sauce inside, especially considering that this is meant to be a main and not a side. Despite being a main, it was less food than the sides. The meat tasted ok but couldn't taste any coriander and it needed some extra flavour / ingredients to balance with the bread in my opinion. I liked the flatbread they use and the fact it tastes homemade. I think with more filling, even just some salad and sauce it would have improved things alot. The Momo Dumpling Soup was different - not a huge fan of the flavour but I like that it tasted fresh and homemade - worth trying it if you've not had it before I guess. The Afghan chicken noodles were just ok - portion size was good, but I thought it was going to be spicy with lots of unique interesting flavour - it was actually extremely mild and pretty bland. Noodles were also on the overcooked side and needed veg - just seemed to be noodles and meat. Drinks were cold which was good. Also, I like that they included some dips with the meal, but unfortunately none of the dips tasted good - the mint sauce was well below average and just tasted of plain yoghurt. Adding some tasty sauces would massively improve the experience. Overall, I would say it's worth trying their food if you're fed up of the usual food you get from most takeaways as they are trying to be different with their menu. Everything tasted fresh and homemade - just think they should tweak a few things and it would be alot better

I order from Katiwok often. They’re the best noodles I’ve had in Cardiff and I’ve never had a bad meal. I always get the Afghan noodles, they’re incredibly spicy and full of flavour. I also get the fried chicken- it’s covered in crunchy batter with a sweet, spicy and distinctive glaze. My favourite dish are the masala fries, I can’t spicy fries this good from anywhere else. My partner always gets the beef noodles- which are a firm favourite of his. Keep up the good work! Robin xx
