I was disrepected by a staff I didn’t deserve that treatment he later apologized but his apology wasn’t as loud as his disrepect… I came to speak to him before I could speak he spoke rudly to me after I told him I didn’t even say anything to him then he then said now you can speak, although he apologized but this was one disrespect that I didn’t deserve I hope he isn’t treated like this when he goes somewhere else

Me and some friends went there for my best friend's birthday, we were the only ones there apart from 2 people. It was all going well till we got our food and they had got our order wrong. I know what it's like to work in customer service so I was hesitant to ask about it, but my friend volunteered and explained that I had asked for a Sundae. The staff memeber was incredibly rude and said 'so?' I then asked if I could just have my sundae and they said 'we don't offer refunds' after I hadn't asked for one. I offered to pay for another sundae and they abruptly said that they can't, and went on to ask if I was going to further waste they're time. I understand that a bunch of girls coming in can be a bit annoying but we are a generally quiet group. Luckily for me my friend was willing to share her sundae, but I can't get it out of my mind what we could have possibly done to cause such an attitude. Whether it was prejudice or just them being tired, I didn't see an exuse for it.

Great easy place to visit for a nice variety of desserts at a high standard. Not the cheapest place to visit but never had a problem, apart from eating too much!

I went with my 3 year old and one year. The service was great. What could have been stressful was really good.

After having read a few awful reviews on Trip Adviser my partner and I were feeling apprehensive about visiting with friends. We arrived at 7pm on a Friday night, someone greeted us and took us to the table. We were a party of 7, ordered our drinks first which came very quickly, 5 smoothies and two iced coffees. After choosing from the menu and ordering I purposely timed how long we waited but after only about 10 minutes all 7 desert's turned up. All very delicious and everyone said we would return. My friend who went up to place the orders said the staff were very friendly. I think the other reviewers were just unlucky and when we left the shop was busy.

Having just been out for a meal with friends the restaurant we had been too had closed the kitchen early so we were unable to order desserts. So we came here.As soon as we walked through the door just after 9, not even a hello or anything just a very rude woman shouting at us that they were closed?! According to Google, Facebook and the sign attached to the door this place is open till half 10?! All the cakes and ice-creams where still on display and there was a very strong smell of freshly cooked waffles etc so I'm guessing the 3 women just couldn't be bothered with our custom. One of my friends asked a lady if we could just get some cake to possibly take-away. The eye rolls and huffs we got from the staff could have received Oscars they were that dramatic!! They did let us order some cake in the end.. Not before talking and discussing us all under their breathe behind the counter but not actually interacting with us in any way just happy to take our money. Literally as we left the shutters where pulled down behind us. I think maybe your staff need to learn to tell the time or change your opening time signs on numerous websites and maybe the sign in your actual window!

I go a lot with my friends but every time I go the staff are very rude. I asked if a waffle was vegetarian and then she did a rude sigh and turned around to ask another women they said no, but then I said oh ok thanks anyway and when they realised that I wasn’t gonna order anything else and I went to walk away they went wait actually it is. I said it was fine now anyway. They walk into people a lot without saying sorry. My friend ordered a milkshake and it was about half an hour then it got strange, so we went to ask and they said she got it already and called us liars, they eventually gave up and checked security before giving her a milkshake. The food is nice but the staff aren’t the best...

We went for desserts after a small sandwich lunch elsewhere. Very friendly welcome, extensive menu full of loveliness. The restaurant was nearly empty at 1330 so pleasant atmosphere although the decor was rather loud. Desserts appear expensive, but they are enough for two unless you have a large appetite. The food in the attached photograph coat just over £30.

I bought a milk shake here yesterday I know from Newcastle they are usually great but when I bought one yesterday it just tasted like plain ice cream and the chocolate hadn't even been blended properly there was three big chunks of milky way amongst the shake I will not be returning

Visited Kaspa’s desserts at the weekend. We were greeted by a friendly member of staff who sat us down immediately. There was so much choice on the menu it took as a while to pick what we wanted. We ordered coffee, waffles and crepes that arrived very quickly. Delicious! After reading some of the past reviews I don’t understand how anyone could give this place one star. Looks like customer service have improved massively. It’s definitely 5 stars from me.

so many sweet things to try, the ice cream choices are out of this world, they wont charge you to much. go on go back to your childhood and order an ice cream of your own desire

Enjoyed a lovely visit here.. We both got waffles, portions were very generous and tasted gorgeous. I got peanut butter and banana, my husband got white chocolate indulgence. Visiting again this week to try more. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Wide range of indulgent excesses. Delicious desserts in clean themed surroundings. They even serve a decent coffee!!!!

We have been a few times now, it's always extremely clean, the staff are extremely efficient and polite, fast service, and the dessert list is full of never ending delights. Definitely our preference over creams now

First time we’ve been here. The puddings were delicious. However I found the staff to be a little cold towards us there wasn’t one smile between them. With sweet escape across the road I doubt I’ll go back.

Went recently with my niece. Had a milkshake and sundae. Milkshake was massive and delicious. Also the sundae was very nice as well. Only complaint from my niece was that there was too much and she struggled to eat it all! Will definitely be visiting again.

Visited today with my partner and two Sons. Desserts were delicious. Plenty to choose from. Staff were all nice and friendly. Everywhere looked clean and tidy.

After seeing such negative reviews on here before going, I was reluctant but my daughter had chosen this place for a treat - and I was really impressed!

On entering this place the decor and seating was of a high standard and cleanliness was good which was to be expected from a fairly new establishment, the staff we thought were on the ok side but one thing we didn’t like was the language amongst themselves which sounded loud and could have been interpreted has intimidating but unfortunately we didn’t understand what they were saying so no offence taken, what we had to eat was the white chocolate indulgence which was awful the waffle was so light you couldn’t even chew it for taste it may as well not have been on our plate,the white chocolate sauce was far too sweet and sickly then followed by the worst cappuccino I have ever tasted it was so watered down that the flavour of coffee was non existence my wife had the chocolate indulgence which was totally spoilt by the adding a dark chocolate sauce which took away the flavour of the Belgian chocolate, so my verdict is I would not recommend my friends either for price, flavour, or customer service

there was a hobo man under my table and it scared me so m much I chucked my dinner up in the air and it splatted allm over me overall I think this restaurant was great even though I didn't gte to eat my food

I usually love this place, its very lovely but today I was very disappointed because I was just eating away at my waffle and it nearly made me die because I was basically chocking, I know its not your fault but your waffle are dry.

this is horrible food I found a toe nail in my waffle and it was covered in manky mold and I found a toe in my ice-cream the crepe was nice tho it was gorgious

Having read through the reviews of this establishment I was more than a little hesitant to visit but my daughter desperately wanted to go so off we went. On entry we were greeted by an extremely polite young man. He showed us to your table and handed us the menu. We were asked if we had visited before and when we said no he explained the menu and how to order. We made our choices and went to the till area to order. Again the lady who took our order was very polite and friendly. Our waffles and drinks came very speedily despite the restaurant being busy. The waffles were delicious and warm. The portion sizes are in my opinion well worth the money. The restaurant was bright, fun and extremely clean. All in all I’m glad I paid no attention to the negative reviews on here as we enjoyed our visit immensely and will definitely return. Great treat for kids and adults alike!

I’m writing on behalf of me and my friend, we are both 15 year old girls from the gypsy community. We are not bad people, were just two little girls who fancied a dessert. We have just visited kaspas, I’ve been many many times and tend to enjoy it. But I have never in my whole life ever felt as embarrassed and violated. As soon as we walked towards the doors a security guard walked towards us and all the staff looked at us like we were dirt, and the man who was seating people very rudely said “your not allowed in” so my friend simply asked “why” and he repeatedly said “your not allowed in”, my friend feeling very confused and embarrassed, said “I understand we’re not allowed in but can you please tell me why”, now everybody was looking. So then the man threatened to call the police, my friend now very frustrated said “call them I haven’t done anything wrong”. He didn’t call the police he just kept repeating “get out your not allowed in” so my friend, again, said “thats racist” and the man chuckled and said “no it isn’t how is that racist”, so my friend said “yes it is if it were anyone else you’d let them in but because were travelers were not”. This went on for about 5 minutes, in the end up I said “come on let’s just go” and we left feeling embarrassed. I understand that there are other people from the gypsy community, mainly boys, that carry on and I also understand why they would not want them there but they should take there name and ban them and them alone. It is unfair that the full community is now not allowed in for one or more persons actions. We were thinking about calling the police but we know that they would not do anything either, so I strongly advise that you don’t dine there because the staff are incredibly rude and it is terrible service.

I took my children here after it opened recently. Lovely atmosphere with eye catching American diner theme decor. Hot pink and black with plenty of neon lights! Menu was exciting with a range of deserts, ice creams, waffles, sodas, bubble slushes..... No healthy options available Really nice experience for a special treat. Too pricey to be a regular thing. My coffee was nice but really small. Waffles were huge and would serve at least 2! Definitely something to be experienced.

Visited Kaspa’s with my 2 granddaughters, at their request. It was lunchtime in school holidays, and I was surprised to see very little custom. The menu is extensive - far too much choice, especially for kids. We had 2 waffles and a cookie dough. I expected the waffles to be warm but they weren’t, and I’d guess the waffle base was bought in from the cash & carry and some kind of strawberry sauce poured over, with a few slices of fresh fruit. It was dreadful. The cost was just short of £25 for the waffles, dough and 3 drinks.

Went there with some friends and the service was terrible. The lady who took our order, I think her name was Adina (I saw her name on the till) was very ignorant and she didn’t seem to care at all. No communication besides “What table number?” and “”what do you want?” Also, wouldn’t hurt to crack a smile. The crepes were so rubbery I could barely cut them and the ice cream was almost melted when it arrived to the table. That was the first and last visit.

Absolutely fab for a catch up with friends. Sundaes fab. Service quick.lovely atmospher. Price isn't bad either they don't badger you to leave when done .

Had an okay time today at kaspas, bit dissapointed as our first time was amazing and food was delish! This time however it wasn't as good, our waffle order got mixed up and was cold the second time and we got told off by a female staff member for not letting them know earlier? Eventhough we told them as soon as it arrived, i believe they are romanian? Either way very rude and unproffessional. However the lad who waited our table was lovely, very chatty, fast worker, kept the kids happy AND joked with them! I believe he is called Mark! Absolutely wonderful lad :)

I ordered the M&M; waffle. It came quite quickly however my friends’ waffle came 5 minutes later despite us ordering at the same time. In addition I found a hair in my whipped cream!

Firstly desserts are lovely but very expensive! Rating is for the staff. Very very rude. No evidence of any customer service at all. Many obviously don’t want to be there showing there displeasure with one girl even stating oh god is it only 4.30! However she was reasonably pleasant compared to the worst staff member who stomped about, told everyone within earshot she was not ok and even tried to take my menu when I was going to order because you are not allowed to take them out. We ordered 4 items and they all came out separately with the first and second desserts arriving a good ten minutes apart. Did not visit toilets, felt it was too much of a risk.

Unwelcoming welcome when we first arrived. We requested a window seat to be told we could only have one if it had been cleared ! Cleared maybe clean it wasn’t. Lots of “bits” on the windowsill and table sticky

Went here today with some friends who had previously visited and said the food was amazing.

Called in at 8.00p.m on Friday, near Town Center which is 2 minute walk.We parked around the back of the cuisine for free. The place was packed with young people yet we were seated straight away, once seated it took around 10 minutes to queue and order/pay for food which was brought to the table by members of staff. I ordered cookie dough along with a cake however there was a delay with one of the desserts being brought, after queering this with a member of staff, 2 people brought 2 different cakes over - even with the mix up the member of staff allowed me to have the extra portion for free to make up for the confusion. Would go back

Place was dirty, extremely expensive, a bit of a let down, the desert was nice, had a waffle, toilets a pig sty. Don't see it lasting a year. Avoid

Well firstly the place was dirty and the loos needed a good clean too they brought one dessert out then about 10 mins later the rest came out poor service i’ll go else where

Visited this place with my friends it was okay but the staff could been more welcoming instead of been miserable. The food was nice but where they had cake Cabernet they should of listed what ingredients each of there cakes had in case some who who can not have it since they have a allergie to one of the ingredients and they should of labelled the food on when it goes off . Some of my friends got dessert which looked nice the hot drinks were watered down coffee and it tasted just what Costa coffee serve. The staff should of had more manners and attitude but it was poor they were very miserable they should of been more welcoming to customers. This place is abit expensive . The staff should of washed they hands before they cook the next order.

Arrived at Kaspas around lunch time today, got straight in with no wait. The place looked very clean and a lively, pleasant environment to sit and eat. There was some confusion about queues when we went to the till to order. By this time there was a queue waiting for tables around the entrance and some people waiting to order food around the same area. The two queues seemed to merge and as a result we were waiting to order for some time, thinking we were in a queue but was actually the wrong queue due to the two being in the same area of the restaurant. Would be helpful to have the till further away from the door to avoid this but didn’t affect our overall experience as service was still fast. Ordered our food which came quickly, all at the same time and tasted beautiful! Service from the host, lady on the till and both waitresses serving food was very friendly, accomodating and efficient, very different to other reviews on here!! Will definitely be returning!

Came for a ice cream as it looks good from the outside, wow Disappointed all the way, forgot half my order and tried blaming me for not asking earlier. wont be going back as the place,cost, service and hygiene need addressing. wont be long before its shut..

Can’t review the food as walked out. Went today with kids who were looking forward to it when we arrived it was extremely busy and there were quite a few people waiting ahead of us. This wasn’t a problem as were greeted immediately by a female member of staff who straight away advised us of the wait and that there were people in front of us too. She couldn’t advise how long we’d have to wait but she was managing our expectations which was fine. However as we moved to the “holding area” a male member off staff behind the counter had a conversation over the counter loudly with the female staff member about the waiting people. He was loud and rude and intimidating about people waiting telliing her deliberately in ear shot of everyone that we had to wait outside! She didn’t know what to do and approached another member of staff who was sweeping. We decided to leave didn’t feel welcome so went up the road Instead to Sweet Escape where we were welcomed!

Was very excited for our first visit to Kaspa's today. We walked in and joined the enormous queue but noticed around 7 tables were empty. We were told we couldn't be seated because there wasn't enough cutlery to go around. The manner of the young girl running the floor was shocking. As paying customers, we don't expect rolling of eyes and a bad attitude. The girls behind the till were lovely and explained that things needed to be managed better. Once seated, we then had to get back up and join a different queue to order our food and then wait again. Luckily the food was good. Probably won't be returning any time soon.

Wouldn't bother wasting your money!! Expensive Tat!! Staff with no hygiene considering the brand the cleanliness was appalling. My daughter paid 5.50 for a milkshake like the picture which was missing half the bits and rude staff. Never again

no organisation , seats left empty while they are turning people away. looking forward to treating my grandchildren but was very dissapointed. order was sent back twice as not right and on the 3rd time it came was still wrong but just gave up and accepted it . very expensive but did not mind if the experience had been better

Myself and family were excited that it was finally open.

As a party of 7 we arrived at the Darlington branch we stood by the enterance for some time & noticed many empty tables/booths so we decided to sit down soon after sitting a waitress came over barked at us for sitting down without her permission we said sorry then she told us they had no clean cutlery ready and it would take about 5 minutes before some would be and under no circumstances should we order anything until some cutlery was brought out to the tabe.
