We decided to visit Kaspa’s after a delicious dinner and this was the perfect sweet ending to the night. The staff were friendly and professional, the establishment was clean, modern and felt quite comfortable. The Biscoff waffle was prepared fresh and was delectable! There was plenty of biscoff! The biscoff ice cream on top was amazing! The latte we had was also very good! The only thing is that they didn’t have a plant-based alternative, only semi-skimmed milk. We’ve visited here before and they do really lovely desserts, especially the biscoff milk cake - highly recommend! If your looking for a lovely dessert or some good ice cream then this is the place to come! Definitely better than any Sprinkles establishment that we’ve visited!

I went to Kaspa’s for a treat with my granddaughter, as we do sometimes, but today they were particularly helpful. My daughter made a mistake and ordered the wrong drink and they were so understanding! Great desserts and great customer service, will be going back again soon 😊

Absolutely disgraceful management We were waiting for our table to be cleaned once done it was given away by the manager. No explanation or apology. After a formal complain to the company still no apology. A great day out spoiled.

I knew we were in for a terrible time from the moment we walked in the door and the staff completely ignored us for 15mins whilst we waited patiently at the ‘please wait here to be seated’ sign. At least 4 members of staff repeatedly walked past us with no eye contact or even a friendly ‘we will be with you shortly’. I would have quite happily just walked out but my 4 year old was determined to get his ice cream. When we finally got seated and ordered our food and drink at the tills it took 30mins to arrive. No drinks whilst we waited, they wouldn’t let me have the fruit shoot I ordered whilst at the till (it was in the fridge behind them!), I had to wait for it to be delivered. When 4 year old’s ice cream finally arrived they brought no cutlery, so I had to ask the server to get some (initially not a big issue as happens all the time at food places). After 5mins, still no cutlery! 4 year old is seriously starting to lose the plot as now is having to stare at an ice cream he has waited 45mins for and is unable to eat it! I ask another server for cutlery, after another 5mins of no cutlery I have to go ask a third member of staff for cutlery at which the second person I ask rushes to get the cutlery I had requested. This is really basic stuff! 4 year old declared he never wants to go there again on the way out so it’s a relief!

My partner and I rarely go somewhere especially for dessert, but we remembered this place had opened up and thought we'd give it a go. Oh dear! What a shame that somewhere which only really serves 3 types of food (waffles, pancakes and ice cream) fails to actually make any of that on it's own. Call me old fashioned, but if I had wanted a rubbery undercooked pre-made 'pancake' (and here I stress, how dare they describe them as crepes) I'd have gone to Lidl to buy one. Come on guys, your pancakes are terrible and served cold, you got the ice cream flavour wrong....not sure what you've actually got going for you. Actually I take that back - the staff are excellent - I'm pretty sure I saw one of them blushing with shame as they handed over the imposter crepes. As we were leaving, I felt compelled to ask about the origin of the 'crepes'; it was confirmed - yep, they're microwaved, not a hot plate in sight.

The deserts were good....HOWEVER... The music was so uncomfortably loud having a conversation face to face with your other half was almost impossible. The music felt like we were in a teenagers bedroom (matched the age of the staff) the music was full of swearing and definitely not appropriate for 6pm. The staff then came and told me my payment didn't go through. I couldn't check my bank due to Internet issues in whiteley (4G deadspot) I paid again but then managed to get on to the companies WiFi. Logged on to my bank and the first payment went through. I paid twice!!!! I'm still waiting for this refund to show in my bank. Not impressed with our first visit at all.

We had absolutely appalling treatment at the Whiteley branch on the 23rd Feb. We drove there specifically to eat at this restaurant. A blonde girl who seated us was very nice and we explained that we had a meerkat movies code. She said ‘no problem, just show to the person at the counter’. My daughter went up the till to order to be confronted by this assistant, who basically told us that we could not use the 25% off voucher for our order because it was only valid for 10 plus people. We said that’s not correct, the vouchers says up to, he continued to say ‘NO’. My daughter tried to get the terms and conditions up but couldn’t because the internet was not working. So she paid the £16 bill anyway. When she returned to our seats, she told me what happened. We then managed, eventually, to get on the wifi where the terms and conditions quite clearly stated UP TO 10 people. I told her to go back to the till and show him the voucher. The assistant proceeded to not accept the voucher and he did not understand the words ‘up to’, he thought it meant ‘over 10 people’. Out of principle we asked for a refund and left. Firstly what I would say is apart from 1 table at this branch that could maybe hold 10 children, there is no where there that could fit 10 people containing any adults. Secondly, he was extremely rude. Thirdly, if the staff don’t understand basic English and the words ‘up to’ , they should not employee them or they need to be educated on promotions they offer. Lastly, we travelled there just to eat at this establishment and my daughter was spoken to very rudely and made to feel like she was the uneducated one. In all honestly the last time I ate there they got my order wrong. i ordered one flavour and got another. HOPELESS FYI - I emailed their contact email address and have had zero response. That was over a week ago. Shows what sort of company the are they do not want to keep their customers. That's fine, there is plenty of competition about i can take my business to!!

We have been staying at the Solent for years and in the past have always loved it. We have not been since lockdown, what a disappointment. It's gone really down hill, everything from the rooms , the staff and especially the food and drinks, awful. Won't be staying again.

After months of giving it a go, we have finally given up on this place. The attraction was the spacious stylish venue, imaginative lunch/brunch menu, (some) pleasant if rather harassed staff, dog friendly and a pleasant location on a favourite Winchester riverside walk. Plus we could generally get a table, unlike lovely Greens that gets so busy on a weekend. During the week it’s reserved for tenants of the co-working space and in the early phase there was a lot of confusion about when/if it was open to the public, with inadequate signage and staff unable to communicate the arrangements clearly. After a bit, that got sorted out and it entered a golden age that lasted for a chunk of last year. Some great food (like the warm pear salad, bubble and squeak and wedges of pear cake) and better organisation. The place seemed better organised and the staff seemed less stressed. Alas it has now taken a real dive. Food quality dipped, items served soggy or burnt, shrinkflation apparent in the bakery items, the nice fresh cakes replaced with mass-produced tasting flapjacks. ‘Large’ coffees that would be considered a regular size in most places. Overseen by a supervisor with patronising and officious manner who I saw shouting at a small child who dared venture onto an (unsigned) staircase leading to a private area.. At our last visit, the lunch menu was inexplicably unavailable at 1.30pm - only breakfast items. But we could see lunch dishes being served to a party on a nearby table. An allergy request was completely ignored and when we complained I was first offered a grudging ‘sorry-not-sorry’ by the sour-faced supervisor (sorry but not her fault that the server hadn’t passed on the message). When I said that wasn’t good enough, when you’re dealing with customers’ safety, I was then told off for being rude. So that’s it for us, not going back. Feel sorry for the better servers, it must be a tough place to work.

We always like this pub for food and that the costs are kept at a decent price. Always give you good size portions too. We have found staff always busy, the thing is you can’t tell if it’s a pub or a restaurant. Which is quite confusing, trying to do both and when you’re queuing you don’t know if it’s for food or just drinks. There is one lady there that is quite rude to people but we didn’t see her this time. But this lady will ruin this pub if she isn’t careful. But we do like the food here!

Ordered a takeaway for 4 for delivery. Arrived 10 minutes early. Delicious Chinese takeaway consisting of chow mein, fried rice, kung po and ribs. Complimentary prawn crackers. Catered for a peanut allergy. Would recommend and we will order again.
