Very dirty, 1/10 service and the workers smelt of sweat. I asked for nuts free products and all the products contained traces of nuts.

Have to say i looked forward to being here after we passed last week however i wish i hadn't built my hopes up. After being shown to a table with 2 menus for 3 of us...and the cutlery bucket changed from a pink one to a blue one. no mention that we went to the order desk at the far end of the shop so we sat there waiting for table service...15 mins later we realised where we'd gone wrong. I dont want to day more really

If I could give this minus stars I would. None of the staff are friendly, it’s almost a task understanding where to order and who to order from. A simple (yet expensive) order took about half an hour to finally be ready. We made an order paid for it, the server forgot to put the order through so when we asked where our order was he didn’t even know and neither did any of the other staff. When it came I don’t even know why we bothered asking for it, would rather of just paid to leave it.

The initial impression of Kaspa's was very good - the outside and inside looked really good, there was a very impressive array of ice cream on show, we were really looking forward to it. We were then greeted by possibly the least enthusiastic waiter I have ever met. He almost mumbled his greeting before taking us to a table. We were about to be seated by a window, before he said that the table wasn't clean (which is normally a 30-second job to do) and put us in a booth at the centre of the building. I'm normally not keen on booth seating, but this one was actually really comfy. We were then informed that we had to order via an app or go up to the counter. I understand contactless ordering in a coronavirus age, and I have no problem with ordering at the counter, but I don't think there were more than five tables occupied, and there were lots of staff standing behind the counter not doing much. We took a look at the menu, which held a huge number of different desserts, almost all of which looked fantastic. It was a very difficult choice, but when we did choose, it was difficult to enter into the app due to the poor navigation and lack of search functionality. We gave up on in-app ordering due to the inability to ask for just ice cream/a build-your-own sundae. When I went up to order, the same member of staff was at the till, where he had the same disinterested, mumbling delivery. I was given drinks to take back to the table (I would expect them to be brought to the table, even with counter service), and our hot drinks arrived shortly afterwards. I completely understand that there are differing music tastes out there, so I am in no way complaining about the music playing in the place, but it was just far too loud. Even if it was my favourite album, it would be unpleasant. Then, the food arrived, and holy it was good. We all ordered sundaes, which were absolutely wonderful. I won't go into minute detail here, but we had a hazelnut sundae, a strawberry one, a chocolate one, and a couple of scoops of mango sorbet (which was the one that was impossible to order on the app). All members of our party loved their sundaes, but the absolute star of the show was the mango sorbet. It was cool, refreshing and tasted just like biting into a mango. It was phenomenal. During our visit, the table next to us finished, leaving their used cutlery, sundae glasses etc. on the table. I have no problem with such items being on the table for a while while staff perform other tasks, but it was there for an excessive amount of time, even while staff passed it to serve desserts and drinks. This definitely wasn't a manpower issue, as the place was nearly empty (understandable for a Monday afternoon). As we left, we passed a member of staff who remained dead silent. I'm not asking for the waitstaff to be all-singing all-dancing performers, I'm really not. I've worked customer service and I realise how draining it can be, but little things like a "I hope you enjoyed" do go a long way. I would recommend Kaspa's any day of the week. The desserts were wonderful, and the mango sorbet was to die for. The service was really lacking though, and I hope we just caught them on a bad day. If the service was better I think I'd be giving them a 5/5.

I absolutely adored this restaurant. The kind, welcoming staff were a delight to talk to and the food was delivered very quickly. I would 100% recommend this restaurant!!

Popped in for a take away about 7pm on a Saturday night. Seems to be 1 till for the entire restaurant and a long queue with the slowest girl taking the orders while most of the staff were stood about doing nothing. Good seemed to be overpriced for what you get.

Terrible experience, the summary can be best shortened to: loosing my order, bad manager and no apology. nearly £16 on two sundaes that after half hour of waiting and seeing two tables seated after us get their food before us, we asked… where’s our order. The guy we stopped disappeared to check. We see him frantically scramble with the maroon jumpered tattooed and bearded manager for answers and begin making our food. At this point it’a clear, they messed up. I approached and made it clear I wasn’t happy. I asked, what’s happening. The response was disgusting I got a short but to the point ‘he must have (insert f word here that TripAdvisor won’t allow me to use despite it being a direct quote) up and lost it!’ Which was disgusting. The sever who didn’t take our order was getting blamed by the manager and there was zero apology. He follows up with ‘it will be with you in two minutes’ where he then walked away. To me it’s bad enough they messed up, worse they blamed other staff, took zero ownership, apology or made any attempt to make amends. In addition no check ins were enforced, two staff of the six working wore masks, but round their chin. The rest made no attempt to wear masks or lanyards to show exemption. I assume based on the lack of enforcement of customers wearing masks or checking in that the staff might not be exempt but merely not in favour of the rules. Overall bad, slow, service and won’t be back. Sort it kaspas! In addition as I’m being made to re-write this to take out the fbomb quote, the tables were sticky and not clean. They’d ran out of forks, the menus dirty and sticky and the staff overwhelmed despite being at less than half capacity. The place was a mess, and not acceptable standards of cleanliness.

This place is amazing. Great food, the place is spotless and the staff so polite. We all loved it. We will be back!

Stopped in here for an unhealthy lunch and so glad that we did. Everything was delicious. The milkshake was the best my son has ever had. The waffles, crepes and cheesecake were all presented beautifully and tasted amazing. The staff were so friendly. Can't wait to go back!

My son was in today for a hot chocolate brownie sundae and paid £8 to carry this out. A lot of money for a 17 year old. And a lot for a take away dessert too. As soon as he got this the brownie fell off. He told the staff and asked if could have a replacement and was told he could if he paid. He himself works part time in McDonald’s and if some accidentally drops food or it slips off the tray it is automatically replaced for free. I thought this was harsh from Kaspas staff and not great customer service at all.

One of the best dessert shop. I always enjoy their woffles. Highly recommended, only problem is on delivery taste not remain same.

I went in to order 2x Waffles on 24/10/20 @7.49pm and had to wait approx 30 mins,while I was waiting I noticed 2 customers that came after me got there order before me, I seen the 2 boxes placed on the fridge but didn't question incase it wasn't for me but 5 min later I got given those 2 boxes after he had put ice cream in 2 tubs.As soon as I got into the car and noticed they where cold. My Son stopped me from going back in to complain as they where very busy.My Son said 'dad don't it's embarrassing'I paid £16.90 and you should expect hot food if you order hot food which I did.Very disappointed!! My Daughters go there a lot and now I've told them not to go.

Ordered a Just Eat. What we ordered was delicious and came quickly. Would definitely order from this restaurant again

Mi familia y yo nos aventuramos aquí un domingo por la noche. Habíamos escuchado mucho sobre eso y queríamos ver cómo era.Es un lugar bastante grande, en una esquina en Gorgie cerca de una tienda de dulces enorme y junto a McDonalds. Es un restaurante de estilo americano que se especializa en postres. Panqueques, waffles, helados. ¡Te dan la imagen!Hay algunos estacionamientos disponibles en la calle afuera y también hay paradas de autobús. No es demasiado gordo, ya sea que esté en un automóvil o en un autobús desde el centro de Edinburg.Es realmente grande y espacioso y está equipado en negro y rosa. La decoración lo hace bastante oscuro y es un poco desagradable.Con las pautas de Covid 19 implementadas, se está ejecutando de manera diferente a lo que sería. Hay señales claras de adónde ir y es un entorno bastante espacioso. Todo el personal usa máscaras y hay información disponible para registrar sus datos con fines de seguimiento y rastreo.El personal es muy atento, el camarero nos mostró nuestro asiento y nos ofreció la oportunidad de amar si era demasiado ruidoso, ya que estaba cerca de la cocina.Habíamos pedido cuatro postres y jugos. El personal no usa mascarillas (ni las lleva debajo de la barbilla / se las quita para charlar con sus amigos), una gran cantidad de clientes no usa mascarillas, el distanciamiento social no se sigue ni se impone en la espera áreas, y al personal no le importa cuando los clientes se sientan en asientos marcados.Un desastre total. En un vecindario con muchos jubilados, es repugnante que claramente no se preocupen por la salud pública y que solo estén interesados en azotar sus postres caros.

Fui a tomar café y pastel. Nos dijeron que teníamos que usar máscaras hasta que llegáramos a la mesa, lo cual era bastante justo. Estuvimos en la mesa durante 45 minutos y vimos al menos a siete personas que se dirigían a sus mesas sin máscaras. no todos pueden estar exentos. Pedimos dos lattes grandes y uno pequeño. El personal no parecía estar demasiado preocupado. Al llegar nos dieron dos lattes pequeños y uno grande, también solicitamos tres porciones de pastel de zanahoria solo para que nos dijeran que todo el pastel que tenían estaba en el enfriador. cuando miramos había 6 porciones de pasteles diferentes. esto fue a las 2. 30 de la tarde. Este fue un regalo para un pariente anciano. De hecho, fue un desastre. muy decepcionado con todo el episodio. Evitaría ir allí de nuevo.

Esperé 45 minutos en la fila, esperé otros 45 por nuestra comida y bebida, no tenía un menú de refrescos ni pedí un café y me dijeron que estaba cerrado y se negó a ayudar u ofrecer alternativas, pero en mente, mi grupo lo ordenó bien. De antemano, ningún miembro del personal se acercó y preguntó si estábamos bien. Prácticamente me estaba muriendo de hambre. Se arruinó nuestra excursión. Nos puso a todos de mal humor y viajamos bastante lejos. Recibirías más ayuda de McDonald's al otro lado de la calle, no creo. ¡El anuncio volvió y no había papel higiénico en los baños! !

Me sorprendió mucho que la mayoría del personal no llevara máscaras cuando fuimos a tomar una comida para llevar. El personal no estaba haciendo cumplir la cara con máscaras con los clientes y la mayoría de las personas que ingresaban no tenían máscaras, y también había muy poco distanciamiento social. Los clientes ignoraban las solicitudes de no sentarse en los asientos mientras esperaban su comida, por lo que el asiento no estaba limpio. Para colmo, nuestro pedido "no apareció en la pantalla", así que esperamos más de 30 minutos por un pedido simple, ¡no volveremos!

Very bad customer service we was waiting for our order nearly one hour staff was very rude we don’t know where was manager maybe he was sleeping

Fui de visita y procedí a navegar por el menú, luego fui recibido con rudeza por una joven rubia miembro del personal que me dijo que me "moviera" y mirara el menú en otro lugar. Luego, cuando mi pedido estuvo listo, volví a sentarme a esperar los pedidos de mis amigos, mientras lo hacía, me pidieron agresivamente que pidiera salir de la tienda y quedarme afuera solo. Luego, mis amigos escucharon a este mismo miembro o personal hablar sobre nuestro grupo, lo cual es extremadamente poco profesional.

A really nice dessert place. The waffles are so ig it's actually enough for 2 people. The sundaes were excellent. If you have a sweet tooth then it's a must visit

Visité aquí como parte de una excursión de cumpleaños para mi hijo y sus amigos. Bonita decoración y muchas cabinas. Visité alrededor de las 3:30 un sábado y bastante tranquilo. Esperó un momento para ser recibido y sentado. Una vez sentado, haga su pedido y pague en el mostrador. Pedimos 2 crepes (con helado y coberturas), 1 gofre, 1 helado y tazón de helado. Además de un café y 4 refrescos. Llegó a casi los 50. El café llegó rápidamente. Waffle, helado y helado llegaron un rato después. Cuando llegaron con un asistente, otro asistente estaba justo detrás de él con dos platos más (con artículos que no habíamos pedido). La segunda asistente preguntó qué habíamos pedido (parecía saber que no era nuestra orden), le dijimos que todavía estábamos esperando dos crepes. Esperé otros 15 minutos sin signos de crepes. Así que subí al mostrador donde había dos crepes que, después de cierta confusión, dijeron que eran nuestros. Llegó algún tiempo después. Aunque recibimos una disculpa, me molestó que hubiera tomado tanto tiempo (bastante seguro de que no toma 20 minutos cocinar un crepe, que fue el tiempo entre nosotros recordándoles nuestro pedido y los crepes que llegaban) sin embargo, no tomé aún más cuando estábamos en una excursión de cumpleaños.Waffles sabía muy eggy. Ambas crepes solo se comieron a la mitad cuando los niños acordaron que no eran geniales. El helado y el helado fueron los esperados.Nos pareció que era demasiado caro (7. 95 para un helado por ejemplo).El personal es lo suficientemente amable, pero todos son jóvenes y no particularmente profesionales (también parecía haber mucho personal).No volvería ni lo recomendaría.

Advertising an offer on website and in store but when asked told it wasn't available. Tried to say it's illegal to do this. Staff walked away. Ignored after that. Shocking attitude from staff. Waffles nice. Crepes not so good. Go elsewhere

First time visitor and I'll certainly return. Fantastic choice of delicious ice cream deserts, waffles and cake. Portion sizes are generous and perfect for sharing. No issues with the staff who were helpful and friendly. Ideal place to take the kids for a treat.

Fuimos dos veces a comer a las kaspas para tomar un postre y después de leer todas las críticas, creo que la gente ha sido muy dura en el establecimiento. Me gustaría decirle a la gente que, por su ubicación, es un lugar realmente bueno para el personal de postres, todos son jóvenes, están aprendiendo, así que dales la oportunidad. Las personas antes de visitar disminuyen su ego ya que todos allí solo están haciendo su trabajo. By the time i got my drink i had eaten most of my waffle and the rest was cold waiting on it, my friend waited 40 minutes for a milkshake and it came wrong

I went to kaspas with my husband as a date night away from the kids and have been here before with the kids and loved it.But this time was different... Firstly we got placed at a table with ice cream on the floor so I asked to move and was moved quickly which was great. Then my husband went up and asked for a banoffee crepe and chocolate cake with strawberry ice cream. My crepep arrived quickly but my husbands cake and ice cream didn't. He went to the cashier and the manager came over and said someone next to us must have it, like it was our fault. We were sitting alone with no one near us. Eventually they brought it out with no apology and as I hate eating alone my crepe had gotten cold. Again no apology or anything from the manager

30 minute wait on a quieter evening for two waffles, when asked to cancel order not even an apology or explanation! Went over to McDonald’s and had a McFlurry instead, as Lucas was shut, the boy in the window apologised for a two minute wait, ice cream is miles better in even jilanis (which is my last resort for dessert in Edinburgh)

We were fancying something a bit naughty tonight so ordered a couple of Sundaes to be delivered. They were very good and still really cold. The only issue is the price. Over £20 for 2 Sundaes is crazy. Reduce the prices and youll make more money. Simples ;)

The waffles were nice, and there is a lot of choice of toppings and ice cream, but it still seems a bit expensive for what you get. There were some loud kids - not unsurprising to find in a place like this - but it’s putting us off going back again.

We visited Kaspas for the first time yesterday as I pasted driving many times. The decor looks lovely and is big and spacious. Menu looks amazing and also the selection of ice creams. We got welcomed right away and gave us a clean table but with a terrible smell of dirty cloth. We had a couple of ice creams (Strawberry and dulce de leche) and a pancake with chocolate. One of the ice-cream wasn't the way I ordered and the pancakes was quiet chewey. The ice-cream were alright but not the best, better than Lucas tho!! We may try it again another time

Decided to visit here for the first time last night as we just live round the corner and thought it seemed a nice addition to the area. Really disappointed with the disinterested, rude staff (tall, fair haired Scottish chap). Was overcharged firstly, which was dealt with efficiently but rudely (basically slammed the money back in my hand).Then I was brought the wrong order- it could be that I misunderstood what he said when I ordered but it didn’t excuse the rude response and clear signs of exasperation! It looked like he was the manager as had a different tshirt than other staff- if so, you may wish to consider putting him through some customer service training..Anyway, despite the food being fine, we won’t be back as I left feeling very uncomfortable. There’s too many places in Edinburgh where staff are warm and friendly to bother visiting places where you receive this treatment.

Popped in last Saturday for a couple of ice creams to take away. Entered and stood at the sign informing us to wait to be seated. And waited. And waited some more. A member of staff eventually approached and started polishing cutlery at the reception area desk. Completely ignored us. He then mumbled something and went away somewhere. So we approached the ice cream fridge ourselves to see what they had. Then went to try and order. Completely ignored by the 5 or 6 staff behind the counter, who were too busy to deal with their 80% empty restaurant customers, instead having a wonderful time fawning over each other, cuddling each other etc. Eventually got served but the ice cream is nothing special and massively overpriced. If you like standing around, feeling like a spare part, and like watching the backs of those who are “working” here, then might be your place! Alternatively AVOID!

Popped down for an after dinner treat. Greeted quickly. Went up to place the order, local man who served was not friendly or polite. He and another staff member continued to talk whilst I was clearly standing waiting to give my order. Knickerbocker glory was ok. Thought the strawberry ice cream tasted really artificial. and the waffle was ok. One bug bear was the sauce was deliberately drizzled down the side of the glass. So when I’m holding the glass to try and finish the rest of it I get the remains of the sauce all over my hands. No one said goodbye or thank you when we left and there was plenty staff watched us leave.... overall service was poor and I’ve 100% had a better icecream at Lucas. Oh and the place was FREEZING. Air con on full blast on a cold night.

9 of us went on bank holiday Monday.Waiting to be seated as instructed on the sign a few people in eating. we were cannot say greeted as the young girl was clearly peaved at being asked to work. She asked "how many"? We replied back 9. she said "follow me"then took off placed a pink bucket down at a table and marched off. we weren't told how to order table service or what. Anyhow after a few moments we guessed we should order at the till. around £65.00 later our food arrived not a smile or enjoy nothing. Our food was good and the kids loved it but all in all it wasn't a pleasant experience for us with staff attitudes. I will not be recommending holding my granddaughters birthday party here at all.

Every time I visit the desserts are always amazing! Love the waffles!! My favourite is the white choc indulgence waffle!!

I went to there with my 2 daughters , finalizing our walk . The place was impressive. after we got the table , and started to browse the menu, my daughter said, you have to go to the bar and give your order to them and pay for it. That was my first shock- but not the last. So they live from my - and yours money, but I have to go and give my order, - terrible, I pay -I go. ( never heard similar places like that) When I ordered just finished the chocolet ice cream ( was middle of the day). I went back to my table, and 15 mins after my daughter got the waffle ( was a very simple choc - vanilla waffle) Im a chef , so I know need 5 mins to make (at last), So I dont know what happend with a left 10 mins, cos just was 2 other table with 4 people) ( I saw there 5 people in the kitchen). But me an my second daughter still waited 10 mins for 2 ice cream. the bucket what was contained the cuttlery and the 3 pieces napkins was dirty on ( number 25 table - for the staff) .so i swiped with the napkins the spoons and the forks, and unfortunately dont left anymore for my mouth and my hands, probably to expensive to give more napkins.The ice cream what i got was good, but that only good thing in this story wasnt good as well, cos middle of the ice cream was 2 probably candy ball - I chewed 3 mins the first, but when I tried the second , my teeth hurt, so I dropped the dirty cuttlery bucket for recycling. When i said some words for the staff on way out nothing apologize on her face, even from their mouth.... So if you want go to a place where nobody care about you and you happily pay for it - i paid for 21 pounds for 2 ice cream and a waffle - just go. S T R O N G L Y N O T R E C O M M E N D

Positives being waffle I had was lovely. That’s it! Negative stuff the staff are so bad!! On arrival being greeted by a very stressed male (the place was quiet so not sure why) anyway he informed us straight away that they had no spoons! NO SPOONS in a desert only restaurant?! Apparently they were all dirty!! Also place needs a good clean. Lots of floor mess & tables left with dirty stuff on them! I could go on... I honestly wouldn’t bother going!

this place is a dream come true if you have a sweet tooth.The dishes are heavenly,I had a crepe and a strawberry milk shake and it was delicious also a free scoop of ice cream for mothers day yummmmmm.the waffles are to die for as well.

Came here with my girlfriend on a Sunday night. I ordered a takeout crepe and she ordered an ice cream. I paid £6 for a plain crepe with two tiny scoops of vanilla “gelato” and £4.50 for 3 of the smallest scoops of “gelato” I’ve ever seen and some fudge sprinkles and sauce. Not only was it ridiculously expensive, but my crepe was so chewy I ended up throwing it in the bin. Will never visit again and will be telling everyone I know how dreadful it was, both in price and quality.

We came here after a meal elsewhere and the menu is extensive! The place is well decorated and the staff were all friendly, we were seated with consideration for our experience as there were a lot of loud teens in at the far end. Our order came quickly and tasted fresh. We both got waffles and shakes. I would suggest unless you’re some sort of professional eater that both isn’t a great idea.

We decided to make a late night trip (10pm) on a weekday. We really wanted some good ice cream so decided to explore this place & learn what the hype was all about. The place had plenty of staff members behind the counters & it wasnt very busy. There were 2 girls being served in front of us who were having problems with their bank card / money & all the staffs attention were diverted towards them. We were standing behind them for a good 7-8 minutes until they were dealt with. Surprisingly no other staff member bothered to serve us at the other till. I was rather put off at this point but decided to wait anyway since we had made the effort to come. We ordered take away ice cream in a cup and had to sit and wait a few mins for the guy to bring it to us. It looked the least appetising & just a mess. I didnt ask for sprinkles but he charged us & put them on anyway. The taste of all 3 flavours was awful. Poor quality & terribly overpriced at £4.50 for 3 scoops. Not the place to go if you have a palette for good quality food & flavour. Wont be visiting again

Thank you for having such a great allergy book. My Daughter can have ice cream the same as her friends. Local ice cream places can't accommodate her allergy. We will defo be back. All food arrived as asked, very clean place. Staff very helpful and polite.

Waffles tasted good.Note to the manager- I was totally shocked at the way certain staff were treated. I visiting this place for the first time I was shocked with the way staff spoke to the Asian member of staff. How could you possible think it is okay to treat staff members like that in front of your customers! I really felt for her. Also, please stop talking bad about your customers in front of other customers.

Came here after a meal out elsewhere. I got cookie dough and the gf got the waffle. These were ok. We both got milkshakes. Although the milkshakes were think, they lacked flavour. I had Oreo and she had kinder bueno - they both tasted very similar due to lack of flavour. Girl behind the till was very helpful and friendly.

For what this place is charging they have a cheek to get my order wrong twice. Second time I care back I waited a full half hour for two frappes, these were luke warm badly made no ice no caramel no extra coffee shot. Couldn’t be bothered complaining again and having to wait another absurd length of time. Shame as it’s a decent place with quality ingredients, just being run by a bunch of badly trained children.

Love the shop, the decor and atmosphere is great. Food is yummy but the service is inconsistent which really lets the place down. This isn't the first time I have been in where the order hasn't been good. Today, they forgot about our order and only progressed it once I had enquired on when it would be ready. They really to get this right or pretty soon customers will stop coming.

Today me and my friends went to try this new place. Good crepes and waffle, we enjoyed it. Unfortunately for us the waiter that served us was unprofessional and not considering us. We are not sure if we will come back

I was a bit hesitant to come here because of the reviews but I tried place. We ordered a triple chocolate fudge cake, waffle crumble and a fudge brownie cookie dough. The fudge cake was really rich the ice cream was super creamy which was delicious. Only thing is the cutlery needs to be a bit cleaner and add more crumble on waffle crumble . But delicious!

The place it’s self was amazing with comfortable seating and decorated with bright colours which gave the place a nice feel. The food it’s self was fast and great value for money. The dishes where piled with toppings, overflowing with cream so you definitely get your money’s worth.

nice enough icecream but terribly organised to serve and very expensive , waited over 30 minutes for two takeaway ice creams in a relatively quiet shop, did have the pleasure of watching a staff member take around 25 minutes to put three tubs of icecream into the display freezer whilst I waited before he got my order together..think next time I'll get a mcflurry instead

I came her with my family and they got 4 orders wrong out of 6 after waiting in the queue for about 20mins. Also the presentation was terrible as the plates where very dirty and cutlery was sticky and dirty too. My niece found a hair in her waffle and after getting my brothers order wrong they asked him to pay another £1 and when we asked for some water to drink it was warm. Although the staff was happy to sort out our issues I felt they where very young and unexpected and rushing around not paying attention to customers orders and this many mistakes is not normal. I will never be comeback here again and my family feel the same. This place needs a lot of TLC to put it politely.

Wow. If you are into your desserts then you will love here! I got a waffle with brownie pieces, cream, ice cream and whipped cream and finished the lot... amazingly! The portion sizes are really generous and food came quick. Can’t wait to return

I've driven past here for several months. Decided to pop in with my family on the weekend. We had three (three of us) bubble tea slushies. Very nice. Not too expensive and generously filled. We'd already had desserts elsewhere so that's all we had. After the next evenings dinner - which was deliberately lighter - we decided to drive to Kaspas for desserts. We had two desserts amongst three of us because we were told the portions would be big. I had a traditional "Classic Coke Float". Was very nice and nostalgically plain - in a good way. I had apple pie with ice cream on the side. Pie was nice if a little too much cinnamon. Ice cream was the soft scoop kind and not my favourite. But still OK. Fellow diners had a Waffle with a chocolate bar - kinder bueno - broken up on top of it. I had a taste, very nice. Nicely prepared and decorated with cream and chocolate syrup. Big portions so were shared. Its a little odd that its only a dessert place - no burgers etc. Place was nicely full and we had to queue for a while to get our order taken. No big deal since fellow diners took a table while I queued. Food was brought to the table quickly after the order. Lots of young people in the place. There's a McDonalds in walking distance nearby so you could have a burger and then come here for dessert. I'll go again. Probably sharing again since I don't think I'd eat a whole portion of dessert hear. Good stuff.

2nd visit to Kaspa's in Edinburgh and it was another success. Tried the waffles on this occasion and they were superb! Kinder Bueno to be precise, and it's well worth the million or so calories! Just do it, you won't regret it. Ok, maybe a little. Just do an extra few hours on the treadmill, it'll be all good. Staff were nice enough, although there was a bit of a wait in the queue to order. A couple of people serving would have sped the process up, but they were obviously short on the ground that day. Still, those waffles were worth the wait!

I’ve tried coming here twice, I got a good recommendation from a friend and the facebook page had tons of tasty looking cakes so I went. The place was big and spacious. It took awhile but we were taken to our table. We got the menu and went up to the queue. We were stuck in it for roughly 35 minutes. The problem wasn’t that they were too many people but rather the slow and annoying staff. Every review mentions the staff and oh man what a joke. On top of being unhelpful with ordering and taking forever with food they were accident prone. They were plenty of seats but a staff member took a group of guys to our seats and another staff member needed to step in. Another staff member kept dropping different peoples orders and twice right in front of us making a bang sound in the progress. The whole staff team acted very unprofessional.The food was mediocre, I wouldn’t call it bad but compared to most places in Edinburgh it’s bad. I’m not gonna go into the screaming children because as annoying as they are that not the places fault. At a certain point they should’ve told off the parents since it ended up making the place unbearable to sit in. For that alone, I do not recommend coming here.

This was meant to be a nice treat with friends. The tables were dirty and had ants crawling on them. The cutlery was dirty. The staff were rude and there was a hair in our ice cream! Overall disappointing.

Really enjoyed our visit to this place. Lots of choice on desserts and ice cream, and options to mix and match/create your own. Big portions too, perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth.

Went there first time with family , inside is very nice . I ordered waffle and crepes with the same topping and I received completely different two plates. Waffle was amazing but crepe was not great coz it was swimming inside the chocolate syrup.Next time we went with family , I was very excited and they said the waffle mix is finished so need to wait at least 30min. what??? Not amazing, disappointed. Also the staff need some training !! There was 8 people behind the counter and only 1 was serving in the til and the que was long.All of them looked like they don’t know what they were doing. I know we should give young people a change but please train them first then! I will go back again , it is lovely place . Nice and clean. My waffle was amazing.

me and my friends went for a friends birthday. we all ordered but every item came a completely different times. two of my friend recieved desserts that where not true to the description on the menu and where given replacements a short time after. after getting our correct orders and being almost done we had not recieved 3 drinks we where waiting on, this lead us to ask a member of staff who soon brought them over.over all a lovely place with nice staff and food but don't expect to be served quickly.

I was there for a friends birthday, with a big group of 8. We all wrote our orders down on paper and handed it to them to order, 2 waffles were ordered wrong and a 3 drinks didn’t appear until we asked for them about half an hour later, but despite the negatives the food is great.

Perfect for after dinner treats all it is is non-alcoholic drinks, deserts and pudding to satisfy a sugar rush lovely staff friendly and went out there way to assist my Gluten Free daughter as Rex went through every item on the menu letting her know what she can't eat due to her Coeliac highly recommended try it yourselves then recommend it to others.

Very nice looking Once seated the tables needed a good clean ordered from menus that where dirty sticking together and deserts came with dirty cutlery and the deserts had different types of deserts on the plates that where nothing to do with the desert served.ie chocolate smudges on the vanilla ice cream bowls.Need to train staff on cleaning A big must where food is concerned

Visited yesterday as a family of 7 and sampled a few different menu options. Waffles are nice but why put the side of ice cream beside a hot waffle? You are swimming in Vanilla by the time the waffles reach the table! No Choc Indulgence available and staff couldn’t offer an alternative. Carrot Cake, hmmm, what can I say. Half brick hard and the other half soggy as drowned in syrup of some discription. Asked for a side of Vanilla Ice Cream for 2,year old but again this couldn’t be eaten as it was melted when it arrived at the table and running off the spoon.Staff are disinterested at best.Save your money and get a McFlurry from across the road!

I really think staff lets down this place. Ice-cream is ok. Waffle is good but expensive. Staff..omg. If I were the manager, I would fire at least half of the staff because of their behaviour. First of all, we were not told that once seated we had to go to the till to order. So we waited for a while for no reason. Then the girl at the till could not be bothered to listen to what I wanted to order. It was not hard. I just asked for a waffle and a cone but since she didn't care, she listened only to half of my request. So we only got the waffle. She was too busy chatting with the other 4-5 staff members. I think whoever does interview needs to work a bit harder or to raise the bar as it looks like none of staff cares at all and it is a shame because the place could be run in a better and more efficient way.

On a 1st visit, when you get taken to a table and seated with a menu I thought a waitress would take your order, wasn’t told you had to had to order at counter, poor customer service, maybe staff training not up to scratch, ice cream and waffle very nice

Desert was good, maybe, too sweet wirh the syrup. But some staff were terrible: I asked my cake to take away but she didn't bother to tell me were I should pick it up and also, she didn't ask any of her colleagues to prepare it. When I asked where I will get it, one nice girl prepare it. But in the meanwhile, the girl that was on the tile and a young boy with dark skin, were laughing about the situation in front of my face. I let them know that I knew it but a look. Staff members don't know the price of the products, some of them them are unefficient, unkind (or rude) and this ones, don't know how to behave in front of costumers

Dropped in to Kaspa's for the first time a few weeks ago, after jonesing for something sweet. This is basically a fast-food joint that just sells desserts. The menu is pretty vast, and has pretty much all you could ask for from sundaes, waffles, pancakes, cookie dough, cakes, various ice-creams, milkshakes etc We opted for the Beglian Chocolate Cookie Dough w/ Mr Whippy Ice-Cream, a Ferrero Rocher Sundae and a few scoops of mixed ice-cream. We all enjoyed the desserts and left feeling like we could throw-up - so I'd say it was a success! The prices are as you'd expect in Edinburgh, but we'd definitely come again and try something else from the menu. Just maybe not every week.

Visited with high hopes for a quality dessert place that Edinburgh lacks of - was served a dirty espresso cup with no sugar or spoon... asked for the duty manager and was told there was none at 9.15pm - shouldn’t explain low standards.

Staff were able to advise on gluten free range of ice creams. We found them to be very good and value for money. Prices were reasonable and the sundaes were not over priced and certainly not expensive. Other reviewers may not have experienced similar outlets in Europe. Gorgie is handy for city centre.

Size of the menu is amazing and had every kind of dessert I could ever want just about. Sundaes, Cheesecakes, Waffles, Cookie dough, Milkshakes, Cake and Custard. Prices are very reasonable in my opinion and do not undersatnd people saying they are expensive.Yes they bring each dessert to your table as soon as its ready but would you want them to have your dessert sitting waiting for the other desserts to be made, ice cream melting and hot desserts getting cold. There was only about a 1 minute wait between our 2 deserts arriving.

Pros: Wide menu, tasty food. Fairly priced and great looking venu.Cons: Staff were shocking! I've never felt less welcome at a diner/restaurant in my life. No welcome or goodbye at end, nobody smiled or even looked the slightest bit interested. All just heads down, miserable. Every request felt like we were hasselling them. When questioned why some of our order was missing, the attitude we received was frostier than the ice cream. One of the male members of staff even physically barged his was in front of my wife on his way to the back room...just rude.Whole thing ruined by this atmosphere. Such a shame for such a cool looking place. Owners should look into this

On a Saturday night a large que was expected in my opinion. They only had one person on the till, and the till does both. People sitting down and for take away orders. Seemed a bit daft that they can’t even do a table service for customers. So after waiting over 15 minutes to be served (3 people in front btw) placed my order. (Waffle and milkshake) Then told to wait over there, and pointed to the corner.So after another 10 minutes, of waiting I eventually got my waffle and a bag of ice cream. So asked the staff where’s my milkshake, to be told oh you need to now wait over there, and pointed towards the door. So after walking and talking a seat now I’m yet another waiting area, 5 minutes my milkshake arrived. So I waked to the car to taste the waffle which is now luke warm at this stage.Waffle was ok, and milk shake was average at best but considering it was £9.99 for two things, that weren’t even that good. Combined with the fact all the staff seemed to be between the ages of 16-18 max (not that age is a issue). No one had any co-ordination, no dedicated waiting area for the whole order, no dedicated takeaway section/ sit in section, just lots of young staff trying their best (but wandering around like lost lemmings without proper leadership).Sorry to say but it’s not got a patch on the alternatives in Edinburgh, like luca’s and scoopz, and see kaspa’s going to be like Krispy Kreme and a busy phase due to it being cool and new, then dwindle away into non existence over time.

Went with my family today and the place is amazing. Food and staff were all lovely. I had the chocolate brownie waffles and they were so delicious . Reasonably priced. Lovely and clean place to eat. Highly recommended.

Quite expensive but still on the reasonable side. Food we had was excellent. Will be back again for a treat for another occasion

We have been in a Kaspa's before, but thought we'd try the one in Edinburgh as we were passing.It was ok, nothing more. £6 odd for a sundae is pretty dear. We were sat at a wet + sticky table despite the place being quiet, not that ideal.May go if we were back in the area but wouldn't rave about it as anything special.

Visited Kaspa's for the 1st time had Very Berry Sundae, BananaBerry Sundae split cream soda float and aero mint milkshake, very nice, will come back.

Decided to pop by to grab a takeaway for the kids as we were in the area. Too very long to get to the till as with it being the opening weekend, so super busy. After paying still had to wait a further 20 mins for our our to be made up. Spent £8.40 for a 1 scoop ice cream cone, another in a tub and a mango passion fruit slushie with popping pearls. Disappointed the coconut ice cream and mango sorbet both taste artificial and very sweet. The slushie wasn't very strong, quite weak and tasted watered down. Overall a pricey for nothing really special. Ice cream parlours many much better ones in Edinburgh at better value in terms of money and portions, who make local ice cream (many on the premises) Like Marys milk bar, Scoopz and S.Luca.
