Cosy pleasant friendly atmosphere Great staff service, staff friendly, cheerful and helpful Food was lovely, all cooked fresh, tasty and good portion sizes too, reasonably priced for the quality and amount you get on the plate.

We stayed at the campsite (which is super) for 4 days and had planned to mix our dinner venues up a bit. However Kaskane was so convenient and excellent we ended up there every night. Dog friendly, super staff, booking recommended, reasonably priced, warm and welcoming. The menu is very much pub food based but great portions, served fresh and hot - superb. Now I must tell you about THE CHIPS. To be honest this was the main reason we went every night - they were superb! As soon as I saw them I knew they were fresh, slightly brown, slightly crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy inside. Some big chips, perfect size and thickness and some crisped up and I wondered if they had been par boiled. They were consistently good every night! OMG THEY ARE EXCELLENT and well worth the extra effort which must have gone in. I’ll be visiting for this treat every time I’m in the area. Extra big thanks for this. But to everyone - we enjoyed our stay in the area. PS: The Land of Iron is worth a visit too as is The Beach beyond the old jetty.

The staff cannot get any friendlier! Warm welcome and Immediate service Very good price and considering the hearty portion size, highly doubtful anyone could leave hungry! Don't think I'd recommend any other local restaurant, purely just on the service alone. 10/10

Visited Kaskane tonight with our family. There was a lovely atmosphere and a great choice on the menu. We were a little late, but there was no issue, and we were warmly welcomed. Food was generous in portion size, and we didn't have to wait long. They were lovely with my daughter, who ordered 2 starters and boxed up our leftovers to take home. Food was reasonably priced. The only criticism is that the steak was overcooked (ordered medium rare, and it was definitely well done) We hung around after eating and didn't feel rushed to leave Would definitely visit again 😁

What a lovely cafe/bar/restaurant. Had the pleasure of eating and drinking here while staying in the area for a few days, it was a busy place and I’m glad we had booked. Very reasonably priced and lovely friendly staff. Would defo recommend.

Out for Birthday lunch for my boyfriend where we were refused service due to me having a dairy allergy. No kindness from staff and I left in a flood of tears. Will not be returning.

Stayed in Bishops Cottage on site fir a week. Lovely clean Cottage. Kaskane pub amazing. All staff fantastic and SO accommodating. Sat in a pod every night and they delivered our hot piping food to our door. Gorgeous food and excellent service..

We stayed there for 4days and everything and everyone was brilliant going back next year for 2 weeks can't get enough of the place.

Food was absolutely brilliant and at a good price!!

After visiting The Land of Iron museum our original plan was to get Fish & Chips locally but this place was mentioned while on the tour so we decided to give it a go as it's literally situated at the bottom of the museum. Glad we did! Our server was incredibly friendly and she dealt with our cheeky young boy in a very professional manner, promising him a drawing tablet if he behaved himself. Proper pub grub, prices very reasonable, £4.50 for a kid's meal which includes a drink, can't fall off. Full tummies all round and left very satisfied, especially when we saw the bill! Less than £40 for a family of 5 including drinks for the adults is always a nice surprise. If you're going to the museum then I would definitely recommend eating here.

Love to go for lunch, one of our favourites in the area. Food excellent and very good value for money. Helpful and friendly staff clean toilets and plenty of parking

we visited the kaskane restaurant multiple times during our holiday. after the first visit we were so blown away by the quality that we just knew we had to become regulars for the time we were in the area! the staff are absolutely lovely and there’s a great environment here. the food never failed to be absolutely outstanding, we were consistently provided with flavourful meals (and portion sizes were also generous). i must add that the value of money for what you get is incredible. i’m vegan and although there aren’t very many options for me here, staff went and checked for me and returned to let me know that i could have the vegetable curry as it was made with coconut milk. this was the meal that i had every single time i visited and never got tired of it because it was so good!! all in all, i really would recommend kaskane - especially the vegetable curry! my only critique is like i said about the vegan options, because it would be nice if there was more.

Fantastic place to eat. Really good value and the staff are great. The family and I have just spent a week on holiday near there and ate there every day! Highly recommend the Parmo, absolutely delicious but only order the “whole” if you’re very hungry!! Book in advance as they do get busy.

The number one thing about this place is the staff. Me and my wife visited 10 Aug and the lady behind the bar and serving were just extremely friendly and kind, they made you feel at home. Food was awesome but I’d return just based on how we were treated by the staff.

We were introduced to KasKane by very long standing friends. They booked a table before we left Saltburn and I can see why. Incredibly good food. Wide range of choice on the menu. When the meals arrived the portions were huge, also very well cooked and presented. A very large venue. Spotless toilets at one end of the building.

Lovely as it was when we visited before

Stopped in here after a too long, a way too hilly bike ride. Tried the famous Parmo, just what I needed after a few hours in the saddle. Fantastic, warm service and a brilliant atmosphere inside the Cafe. Clearly a huge hit with locals and regulars as seemingly everyone knew each other. I would definitely recommend, thank you to the staff for a wonderful experience.

Called in on spec for a hot drink after going to the Land of Iron museum. What a great find this little gem was! Staff are friendly and helpful. No cake to have with our cuppas but strawberry cheesecake had just been made and was absolutely delicious. Looked over the menu: we will be back for a lunch as choice and price looked spot on (and a big selection on chicken Parmo options which is a favourite!!)

Staff were attentive but not too attentive. Drinks were brought first and the time it took for the food to arrive was more than acceptable. Toilets were spotless. Cutlery and plates were spotless . Atmosphere was welcoming not strange for strangers which we were. We were not rushed or made to feel like our table was needed for others . All in all a very enjoyable experience. Would not hesitate in recommending though I have a feeling they are not in need of recommendations.

A real hidden gem. Proper fish and chips, mushy peas. My wife had a fabulous prawn salad with some added fruit which was lovely. Very reasonably priced.

Campsite cafe and bar, large portion, decent food but gets busy so we had to sit outside. So chose a non smoking pod but then staff on a break came and stood behind it (customers cannot enter this bit) to have a chat for their break and had a ciggy so we might as well of sat in the smokers area.

Always delicious home cooked food, nothing is too much trouble.

Can't fault this venue even on a busy day the staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble food is excellent highly recommended 👌

Fabulous food, great staff, excellent value in this lovely restaurant, which is close to the beach in Skinningrove. Whenever you’re on holiday nearby, this is a MUST visit.

Today we had the prawn salad and it was delicious, a really good portion size. When the chicken sweet and sour is on their specials I always get it, melt in the mouth battered chicken.. fabulous!

so good, its hard to expand on that, it was just so good, we went for midweek dinner 4 of us, one wheelchair user, accessible and a disabled toilet, great, 2 steak pies, 1 corned beef pie and 1 chicken strips, steak pie was really good, i had that, i believe the corned beef was equally so by my mates empty plate, deserts were a bit limited an heavy looking which is my only criticism, so we dint bother, probably would of if it was the weekend. was really busy for a wednesday i though so obviously popular, chips were really good, gravy boat oh yeah the staff, exemplary, they really were

Went with a group of 14 friends as the last time I was there it was lovely. On arrival the table was only set for 12. The food was avarge not as good as the previous time I had been. One bowl of vegetable and one bowl of salad for 14 people and no spoons to dish out with. A member of the party asked for a well done steak and told the waitress if she sees blood she can't eat it and that happened so she was disappointed. She had to ask over 3 times for a fork in the end we got one off another table but her meal was cold by then.The waitress seemed full of her own self important seemed to be giving us funny looks wanted to clear up so they could get washed up. When your spending over £200 you should not feel rushed

Had a lovely walk on Skiningrove beach with Buster and Mrs, and googled nearest bar, and came up with this amazing place, passed it a few times but didn't realise it was a bar/restaurant. Staff lovely, and dog friendly, we only had prawn sandwich with side of chips and was very nice , other meals looked good and was reasonable priced. Will defo be back.

Food was amazing staff were great made a lot of effort to interact with us keep up the good work 👌 prices are spot on been a couple of times now and will continue to do so lovely pub would highly recommend a visit I got extra cheesy chips to go with it because I'm a greedy man but not needed really as portions are impressive and taste amazing cheers 👍x

This is a wonderful place, lovely home cooked food, very reasonable prices and a great atmosphere. The staff were so friendly and kind towards us and our dog Noodle and they gave her lots of treats and attention. Some places say they are dog friendly but aren't really when you're there but we felt so comfortable having Noodle with us here. The food was so good we went 3 times in the week we were in the village and everything we tried was delicious. Make sure you book a table as it's always busy. Special thanks to Kirsty and Nicola who looked after us all so well.

Booked for the Valentines menu and wasn’t disappointed. The staff were friendly as ever and the food was perfect. I normally have a parmo at Kaskane as they’re that good but got a trio this time as did my partner. They didn’t disappoint, the choice of toppings was brilliant and as normal they weren’t shy with the portions. It’s a shame that the trio plateau is just a one off as it was excellent and I’m sure it would be a hit if on the menu all the time….

Whenever we come to Kaskane’s we always say we’ll have something different to a Parmo, but we never do! The Parmo’s here are sensational! Served with homemade chips and a generous salad, and not forgetting to hot chilli sauce, if you’re having the hotshot! Always a lovely welcome, and the bill will never break the bank!

There was 14 people for my mams birthday and everything was lovely, from the service the staff and the food we were all very pleased , it was first time there for my family and there were very pleased and said the foid was delicious
