My friends and I had a really wonderful time at Pop Sapori! Our waiter, Osvaldo, was great -- friendly and knowledgeable! We had a couple of starters that were all yummy: the grape salad, broccoli, burrata, and -- most of all! -- the freshly-made bread was amazing. Could have eaten just that, all night, haha. For mains, we ordered a couple of pasta dishes -- the pasta is also freshly made every day, and you can actually see the pasta machine, which is a cool touch. They have quite a few vegan options, which is brilliant to see, too. Also, we appreciated that the music wasn't too loud -- it was just right, ambience-wise, to have a meal while chatting. Will definitely be back.

POP Sapori was the most wonderful experience. We went as a group of friends (there were five of us) and treated it like a tapas meal. We ordered all the starters, all the pastas and shared it between us. I highly recommend the Rocket and Grapes salad; the Nocellara Olives; the Homemade Bread Selection; the Burrata, Peaches and Rocket Pesto; and the Salumi and Cheese! Those were my favourites. And, of course, an Aperol Spritz. The atmosphere was lovely and the music made you feel like the night was just starting. The waiters (and the chef!) are Italian themselves which means you're in for a (reasonably priced!), authentic Italian experience. A gem in the heart of Kings Cross. Don't miss out!

My girlfriend and I visited POP Sapori for lunch. Iulian was such a great waiter - his service was top notch! He told us what his favourite dishes were and made recommendations and we were not disappointed! We had a selection of salami and cheese to start with, but couldn’t help ordering the burrata which was just divine. The burrata with the peaches was such a great combination, we were very pleased. I ordered the squid ink and crab spaghetti and My girlfriend had the mortadella ravioli. The portion sizes were the perfect amount and both dishes were absolutely delicious! I ordered the apricot cheese cake which I loved and my girlfriend ordered the lemon sorbet with a shot of lemon cello. The food hit the spot and I can honestly say I will be going back again and again. Such friendly staff and really good food! I’d definite recommend to friends!! Can’t wait to come back!

POP Sapori @themegaro, a Love Festival from the '80s? At first difficult to find, but I did my homework and noticed it is a POP Up at the iconic graffiti-covered Megaro Hotel. Great window display, packed with homemade focaccia and "Italian" croissants. The focaccia Pugliese was to die for and Julian really knew his flour. I never realised such a small thing makes all the difference. Then the Rigatoni "al Torchio" was just super fresh and cooked just dense. Oxtail stew was best I ever had, but admittingly by then, we had consumed a bottle of Prosecco. Didn't dare to go for the spritz, just looked too cool and yellow for us. Now I get the music, smileys everywhere, it makes you happy. It brought us both back to 80's King's Cross when it was just masses of fun and party. POP Sapori - you make me happy? Definitely, get that house music pumping. Best of luck guys, you deserve to be packed.

La ubicación fue genial para encontrarme con mis padres en el tren en Kings Cross y comenzar un día en Londres. Todo el menú del brunch se veía genial, pero todos optamos por varios sándwiches de desayuno. Aparentemente, el BLT era bueno, aparte del tomate frío en un sándwich caliente, pero el resto de nosotros pensamos que el Bobby (empanada de salchicha, huevo, queso y mayonesa de chile dulce) era increíble. Definitivamente recomendaría una visita para el brunch.

¡Precioso ritmo de verano! Este lugar es una verdadera revelación. Me hizo retroceder 30 años en un destello de recuerdos felices. Buena comida, buen humor. Me gustó mucho. Llegué en el Eurostar desde Amsterdam por un fin de semana y estaba al otro lado. ¡Volveremos y la próxima vez queramos bailar!

A fun place that we never knew existed. Upbeat music and bright colours. Good pasta. Staff could be more engaging but maybe they’re still learning the ropes.

A ray of sunshine after a bleak stretch of morosity...we loved the mood. Great coffee. Will come back.

Tasty and groovy! Bright and yellow like a sunny day. It’s well priced, short menu but well made. Simple things made well. 

This place brought back a lot of memories from the heady days of house music. Good old skool tunes from Manchester to Chicago. 

Staff was lovely! Great atmosphere and wasn’t too busy so it was nice to focus on who you’re with. I’d also defo recommend the Panna cotta for desert

We arrived on a quiet Sunday evening. The food was absolutely delicious and the service first class. I would not hesitate to recommend this lovely restaurant where service is excellent and the food sumptuous! Plus they serve a fabulous Negroni. We’ll be back.

Whoever’s in that kitchen doesn’t have their heart in it. The waiters were very nice and apologetic about the food (which took an hour and was inedible). Worse meal I’ve ever had.

I had made a booking at the Megaro bar for a friends 40th birthday. The booking was made for 14 people over a month in advance and in the weeks leading to the event had numerous email communications with the team. Two days before the booking, I receive an automated email cancelling my booking with no notice. Having contacted the team I had been previously in touch with I was told very casually that they had cancelled my group booking because they had since taken a private booking for the whole area.To say I was disappointed was an understatement, two days before my friends birthday I had to organise a different venue for 14 friends. The cancellation itself you could almost understand (not agree with but...) but it was the total lack of customer service I received from the team at Megaro . They didn’t even have the decency to contact me to discuss the cancellation, just an automated email was sent to me.When I then asked for the contact details of someone I could escalate my complaint to, guess what....? Complete silence! Not a word from anyone, not even a sincere apology.... avoid this place! Not a chance me or any of my friends will be spending our money or time there!

Good things; the service, much more sophisticated than it’s neighbours. Bad things; Expensive, small portions of mediocre food. Painfully hip - but maybe you like that.

The portions of food were small. The dishes were not as in the description of the menu.

I had the cauliflower main dish which was delicious, however it would be great to see some more vegan options on the menu-especially a vegan dessert!

Good food, attentive (not too attentive) and friendly staff. I was on crutches with broken leg, and non weight bearing and sadly does not have disabled access but the staff were very willing to help.

The Megaro is located just in front of St Pancras International railway station.We had breakfast there and appreciated the eggs and the tea. Little bit expensive, but we are in London.

The atmosphere was colorful and lent itself to a happy and enjoyable breakfast. The food was delicious.

All the dishes are pretty common but cooked in an innovative way. The beef tartare was so fresh and the sauce made it even better. The salad was served with 2 layers of sauces that you can taste it in 3 different ways. The Fiorentina steak was a bit big for us, but the meat itself was so good that we had to finish it. If you still have a little space in your stomach, a piece of cheese cake can draw a perfect conclusion for the night.Apart from the food, the waiters were very helpful. You can tell that they are proud of the restaurant's food and can provide you suitable suggestions.

Wir haben hier gefrühstückt und es hat uns gut geschmeckt. Die Auswahl ist ordentlich, jedoch auch etwas hochpreisig. Essen kam nach der Bestellung zügig, wobei der Service während der Peakzeit etwas zu kämpfen hatte. Das Restaurant war trotz der Lage (direkt gegen über des Bahnhofs) sehr gepflegt.

I booked table for 4 o’clock, when we arrived was told that we can’t sit until 5.30. They had lovely looking steaks in display fridge, when we ask about the size cut that we want was told that it comes as what’s served which is of no help. So I thought seeing it’s an Italian restaurant one can’t go wrong with Lasagne, well in all the times I’ve been to Italy and number of Italian restaurants I never been lasagne as how they served it, it was good and taste. My husband had the hail but the jacket that they served wasn’t good.My friend had the pork which was really fatty..Both of my other friends had had the king prawn pasta, it didn’t look appetising., it looked anemic.

It was quite expensive for the food you were given. Also the staff had a bit of a hard time taking our order, and we got the wrong food once. Overall a nice experience though, ans it was a bit expensive but it was also really good.

Went for a Christmas dinner; selections limited, but good. Very nice pumpkin gnocchi; goose breast a bit tough, but still tasty.

Not particularly cosy or ambient but amazing authentic Italian food - you can see the chef at work also - a real find in busy Kings Cross we will be back

Service was slow, waitress didn’t understand all our order , language barrier , food was really tasty but my colleagues pork was a little on the small side .

My friend and I visited this restaurant before bcos the pancakes were amazing. We returned and the pancakes did not taste the same at all. I asked for butter this took 10 mins arrive so my pancakes and bacon was cold.

We visited twice once for drinks and once for breakfast.

I stopped in at the Megaro for breakfast, and it may be that I made the wrong choice by ordering the English breakfast. It was, and this is putting it mildly, inedible. The first issue is that everything tasted and smelled as though it had been cooked on a surface that desperately needs to be cleaned or with oil that needs to be changed. This gave everything a slightly odd taste. The scrambled eggs tasted as if they came from a mix (not fresh eggs), and the toast was dry and slightly stale.

Innovative and delicious cuisine. Good selection of wines by the glass. Must come back for cocktails

We were staying at the Megaro Hotel and my family of 4 decided to have steak for dinner. We read that the Megaro Eatery served fiorentina steak, and decided to try it. We shared the burrata cheese and artichokes for starters, with the seafood paccherri pasta and fiorentina steak. Everything tasted good, especially the mains! Although we were on vacation, I have tried a few of the Italian restaurants in the area, and would say that the Megaro eatery serves up more authentic Italian cuisine at value-for-money prices.

It is not pleasant to give a bad review but, but here i simply feel the please does not know what it is! Trident bar vibe with gastro dining prices for very basic food! The servers were lovely but nothing really worked!

Our party left the restaurant within a few minutes of arriving. Our table had not been reserved, despite a booking that was made weeks before, and confirmed by phone three days before and email confirmation received of an extra person joining us. I also called twice to discuss a nut allergy and was told it would not be a problem if specific items off the menu were selected. On arrival the staff were very uncertain that they could cater for a severe nut allergy. It was extremely embarrassing for me as I had booked the restaurant for our company lunch and I was meeting most people for the first time, as well as welcoming our new staff member who had the nut allergy. We felt unwelcome and had to phone around to make a last minute booking for 8 people once outside the restaurant. Very disappointing indeed.

Very kind and accommodating staff. They tailor made my coffee (hazelnut latte, really good) and my friend's dish (as she has quite a few allergies), and gave us a large table so her child had space to play. Really liked the Full Italian Breakfast too.

This restaurant has amazing Food with a Italian touch. The meat was so tender, it almost melted on my tongue. Much better Italian alternative for the standard pizza and pasta. Really nice staff!

The place was sadly empty apart from us but the place was clean and food really tasty. Service was good and waitress offered recommendations.

I booked an 11am table on bank holiday for me and a group of friends for brunch. When we got there we were informed they don’t serve brunch and that I shouldn’t have booked a table for that time. Was turned away with no compensation and there is no information on the website that they don’t take bookings for that time. Really disappointed.

Food is fairly decent, but was very slow to arrive. We were pretty much the only table dining in the restaurant yet our mains took about half an hour. Too expensive for the portion sizes. Service friendly.

OpenTable offer times for breakfast that the restaurant no longer caters for. Fortunately the staff were still willing to extend breakfast hours. Food was nice.

We booked in for a late brunch but were told the website was out of date and there wasn't a brunch menu after 11am. The menu itself was extremely limited and certainly on the pricey side. I ended up ordering 2 x small plates (the left hand side are all small plates) at £9 each and my friend ordered the turbot at £24. The food itself was delicious, but at £66.00 for a one course lunch with no alcohol, it was probably too expensive to make it a regular haunt! The decor is great, however, and the place is light, airy and spotlessly clean. Just not what was sold on their website and somewhere for a treat not a quick bite to eat.

Visité este restaurante para el brunch en marzo de 2018 y realmente lo disfruté, así que cuando un amigo estaba visitando el área de Kings Cross, no tuve dudas en reservar una vez más.

Food was exceptional, the wait staff were really helpful and provided great recommendations. Will be returning!

La cena fue excelente. Sabroso puré de albaricoque con masquapone y tostadas. Buen plato de pasta de berenjena también. El personal fue muy amable en la noche.

La porción de la cena es pequeña y cara para lo que obtienes en el plato. 12) Se incluye un cargo por servicio del 5%. Tuve 2 platos, vino y café y me fui como si hubiera comido una cena ligera.

This restaurant continues to produce great food. Ive eaten here for many years.

This place was honestly terrible. Tapas style menu but way too small and expensive for what we got. Food had zero flavour and we ordered a main dish consisting of cauliflower and received a quarter of a half cooked cauliflower soaked in vinegar for £13. Would not recommend at all for dinner

We had a great meal at Megaro! The service was friendly and fantastic- one of our party has a lot of serious allergies and they were very accommodating (and unlike many places, took her seriously). The food was wonderful, and we will absolutely be back.

We stopped in here for dinner. The food is fantastic. Many of the plates are small, so if you’re after a meal you might want to ask about how much food you’ll be getting. But the food you’ll be getting will be fantastic.

The food we had was fine and no complaints, but the menu is odd with nothing like bread or olives to start with, which was not appreciated by our group. Menu needs work.

Excellent service. The Turbot was an outstanding dish. Took a couple of American friends there on the 4th of July. Needed a restaurant close to St. Pancras. Could not have done better. Strongly recommended.

Great selection of food, convenient location, and great service. Hit or miss on the food quality. For example, the buratta toast, seasoned cauliflower, and the strawberries and cream were a hit, the pumpkin gnocchi were a miss (chewy and lacking in flavor)

Fabulous experience would do again in a heartbeat - brunch with unlimited fizz - staff were lovely x

We had two good meals at the Megaro last year which is why we went for another meal recently and found the food very disappointing. It may be they were having an off night but the meal seemed to have been assembled from catering packs rather than cooked from fresh by the chef. We would not go back

This restaurant looks amazing. The decoration, the plants, the tables.... menu is nice and really coherent with the concept of the place.

I came for brunch and food was very good. The staff is nice, and the place is really beautiful (lots of plants). I recommand the "Healthy ish" for brunch!

A bit disappointed, burger and salmon were good but served with literally nothing else in the plate. Service slow and needed to ask for additional things multiple times, we gave up on asking for ketchup after the 2nd attempt! Shame as the place decor is trendy and light.

2 burgers were undercooked, blood running on plate. No chips! What restaurant runs out of chips at 7.30 on a Friday evening. More burgers were offered but we were left with the side orders so these were eaten separately as they were getting cold. Not what we expect on a night out. Smell if drains in restaurant, waitress said it was the plants. Bill reduced for 1 burger. Not really good enough. Staff were polite as we were with them.

The food was fine and the space was nice, albiet very quiet. I think the evening would have ended on a better note if I hadn't had to negotiate for a discount after a number of issues. I found it odd that of the one salad on the menu the chef "forgot" to add some of the ingredients and then waiter spilt an entire cocktail on me! Just very strange and disappointing evening.

we came here for dinner, it was good portion wise but the service was very slow and it wasnt the best food ive ever tasted. i would say this is more of a place for drinks, although it wasnt the most buzzing when i came on a sunday i think. maybe next time :)

Love this spot. Always friendly service, good coffee and tea. Went in for a cup of tea in the morning with my colleagues and ended up staying for lunch, Ordered the Megaro salad and charred squid.. delish! highly recommended.

I went to the opening of this restaurant when it opened as Karpo. It’s hard to find. Highly recommended. The chef takes pride in his food.

That was the most remarkable steak I have eaten for a very long time.

Brunch with my friend eating the best nana caramel pancakes I have ever eaten in my life! The design of the restaurant is gorgeous it has this nature and lots of natural wood finishing. The staff were amazing and tentative. My friend had one of their Bellini’s and it tasted so good. Even the bathroom is fabulous. Can’t recommend this place enough.

My friend and I visited on Sunday brunch, having heard great reviews of this place. Unfortunately, our experience was not. We were seated upstairs, which was OK, but lost some of the atmosphere. When we went downstairs to pay, the employee (sorry I didn't get her name) behind the bar was texting "her supervisor" on her phone. As I work in hospitality myself, I do appreciate that these things are sometime necessary, but either take it to the staff office or wait until after the busy Sunday shift has finished. The worst was the food, I am afraid. I ordered the Complete Italomanic. The food didn't taste fresh (particularly the rockets and salad on the side), the bread was greasy, and the beans were flavourless. They looked like they had been stewing on the side of the kitchen for several days . Sorry if this is not the case, just my experience. My friend ordered the Eggs Benedict. It lacked flavour again, and the portions were really small. It was a real disappointment; we left feeling that we had a unpleasant experience. It is a shame as we were really looking forward it. Maybe it was just a bad shift?

Our food was very mediocre in taste, and also was the presentation. (Eggs Benedict meant Eggs Benedict - the plate looked empty and dry). The establishment appeared to be experiencing disorder, at 8:15 in the morning. Our server was a delightful young women from Spain, we had a little bit of communications breakdown, but we lightly figured it out, and she was so delightful and fun. THE Big issue: when we were leaving around 9:00 am, a women came in, apparently their supervisor/owner, and started reading the staff the riot act . She did this in front of all of the customeres, we were about three tables from the door, everyone in there heard her. We had already realized that their was some disorder going on, but not a problem for us - things happen. Don't know who she was, but she made our breakfast experience very unpleasant. She could have taken it to a back room, instead of subjecting the customers to her fury. She should rethink what her customer relations position should be, or maybe, The Megaro could help her with this - Bottom Line: She won't help your business, whoever she is. The employees before she arrived appeared to make it work, although experiencing disorder. Again, our young women from Spain, was wonderful.

very nice food and the restaurant is very beautiful, the place to be if you're looking for the perfect gram. a bit expensive, tho. we were there for breakfast. right in front of kings cross, easy to find.

1 and a half hours prosecco. Can't complain about that. Very good service.

I used to like this place as it a very chill place with a nice atmosphere. Nothing exiting about the food but it makes the job and i m always happy to go for a brunch as the location is very good for me. I went there recently, the service was very poor. We had to wait 30 minutes just to order. They came to apologise. After they cleared our table without asking how it was no one came back to offer a coffee or deserts. With my friend we wanted to see how long it will take before someone asks us. So we waited for 1h15 and guess what no one came. So we decided to pay the bill and never come back

The service was rude and quite matter of fact. We had a vegan dietary request on our table and we asked for any vegan dishes. The request was instantly dismissed without even consideration of asking the kitchen. Fine this happened but later the same waitress asked the lady why she wasn’t ordering a main...

Why no set price menu with the Prosecco included?

The noise level of other people was not something I’d have been worried about as I enjoy places you can feel free to relax and enjoy yourself in without worrying if you’re being too loud etc. However, there must have been building work above or next door as there was a lot of banging and electric drill noises which was very irritating. The staff however were all lovely, even when a glass was accidentally broken by our table they were really good about it and the staff are what turned it around and the reason I’d go back!

We stayed nearby so decided not to head into town but stay close for the evening lunch. We stepped into a cosy restaurant and were greeted and seated wherever we wanted.

Arrived at 18.30. No one else to be seen. The foccaccia starter was the greasiest we have ever eaten. The pasta was incredibly thick and undercooked. It was a dreadful meal but at least the staff apologised and didn't charge for the food. Avoid.

Team breakfast, low noise level so were bale to conversate. Food was lovely and we all really enjoyed it.
