I expected more from this fairly new bar which serves Indian street food. It serves tapas type plates which were expensive for what was presented. I found the dishes to be bland and some were only warm when served. However there is a large selection of gluten free dishes. A mix of food came quickly which made me think it was not cooked fresh. The craft beer was mainly bottles and cans with a couple of poorly kept beers on tap. This is near a trendy area of Nottingham city centre but it does not have to charge London prices. I am sorry to say that I will not be returning anytime soon.

¡Nunca volvería a ir aquí, me temo!

Pedí una combinación de platos para compartir: el chaat era particularmente bueno y también me gustaba el ambiente.

My boyfriend and I are in Nottingham for the weekend and came here last night for a meal and were very impressed. The staff were lovely, the atmosphere was great, and the food was delicious. It is recommended that you order 3 plates, but we found this was a little bit too much (probably because some of the dishes also come with rice and we ordered some of the larger plates). Considering that is the only slightly negative comment I can make about our meal, I'd strongly recommend eating here to anyone.

We went to this place before a concert at Nottingham Arena. Was totally impressed by the quality of food, very different from the the greasy curry house. The decor is very fresh and reminds menof my travel to pushkar in India. Tapas style small plates of yhe food was great for sharing as we got to try lots of different dishes. Prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend.

Despite having a reservation confirmed they couldn’t be bothered to let us know they weren’t open, so after travelling all the way from Leicester we went to Mowgli just up the road which was amazing and we’d highly recommend!! Thanks for nothing guys

We love Indian street food and have been to lots of different places before. No prewarning of food that wasn’t available from an already small menu, and the main thing I wanted wasn’t available. I ordered the mushroom and paneer skewers, which came cold, and I sent back. When they returned I realised they had no mushroom on, and I had to ask to find out if it should do. It should have done. Other food was also Luke warm and not hot. Chicken was poor quality using dark meat not breast. When getting the bill, I had had £2.50 taken off and was really quite appalled st the lack of customer service which such a poor meal.

Really loved the look of this place and the concept so was very excited to try it out. I found the food bland, not at all the street food I expected, it was overpriced for the small dishes you got. You could have had curry and rice which I didn't try but that isn't tapas style, just ended up confused! Perhaps we ordered the wrong thing?? We had the potato burger which was nice, the bun was not and the whole thing a little tasteless. The paneer was over cooked and oily. I feel bad for writing this review because on the plus side the staff were really lovely- very attentive, but the menu needs a rethink , there are so many exciting things you can do with Indian food. It was also really quiet for a Friday night, needs promotion, these type of places need to be bustling. This is such a shame as I really wanted to like the place and give it my return custom

Very friendly service, plenty of choice, good portion sizes, nice flavours. A bit set away from the main strip of bars and restaurants but that should not put you off.

There are a lot of great Indian restaurants in Nottingham but this one really stands out. It's the perfect place to go with friends as the 'tapas' style of food means you can try a lot of dishes. We ordered 7 plates with drinks and tea and the bill came to little over £50. Bargain!

Went for an early dinner on a weekend. Didn't realize the plates were really tiny. I get that this is similar to the chaat places back in India but even there we definitely get reasonable quantity. You would need to order quite a lot of items to feel full. The food was really tasty though and will visit again. Probably best to go in for tea time for snacks or such. Don't really recommend this for a proper meal time.

Now been twice in 8 days, which should speak for itself! The first time for a birthday celebration in the early evening, as a family of 4, we shared a variety of 13 dishes plus rice, which included chicken and lamb curries - all absolutely delicious. The Onion Bhajis and the Papri Chart are highly recommended. The second time was an impromptu visit with friends (who'd never been before) for Sunday lunch. Staff again were highly attentive, and the food again superb. With a round of Camden Pale Ale, Proseccco and a Mango Lassie included for drinks, good value at around £22 per head.

First Class Food and service. Tapas style although if you have a curry it is enough on its own! One of the best curry’s I’ve had! The food is exceptional!! Great selection of meat and vegetarian dishes alike. Many different styles also. Give it a go you won’t be disappointed!! Can’t wait to go back!

Went here on my lunch break with my husband. Didn't have much time but food arrived promptly and when it did, it was delicious. It just tasted so fresh. Not greasy like many Indian dishes can be. We had the veggie meal for two to share. Would recommend. Nice atmosphere, nice staff, great food.

On arriving we were showed to a table without the Indian Street food concept being explained. Most of the food available was vegetarian. We selected four vegetarian dishes from the menu, two we liked, the third was OK . The fourth we didn't like. We then tried the Chicken Tikka. We didn't like the taste, the chicken in parts appeared to be a dark meat not breast as described on the menu. So we sent it back and left.

OK, so I have never been to India so I have never experienced authentic Indian street food (which presumably varies across all four corners of that massive county). But I love Indian food and am increasingly seeking out versions of Asian cuisine that are hopefully authentic rather than clichés designed for English tastes.

This place could be a really great trendy bar and tapas place, but the staff is just not very lively and food is average. The location had so much potential, and it’s sad the owners haven’t noticed they need to step it up. Instead of being excited about the concept and explaining it to you, my friend and I were seated and handed menus to read on our own. Even though the waitress watched us struggle over our choices, she never once offered suggestions, but instead asked if we needed more time. By no means was she rude or impolite, she just wasn’t informative, helpful or excited about the menu. When I eat out at a new place, I always asks tons of questions and ask for suggestions because I will most likely order based on what items on the menu you are excited about. Chose two items which were very average and king of bland. The beer was my highlight, but it could have been that I didn’t order a signature dish.

Really enjoyed all 6 dishes we ordered; the onion Bhaji were tasty crisp and fresh and the paneer tikka skewers were incredible. Service was fantastic too! The only thing I’d improve is the craft beer range

This is a bit of a missed opportunity. The concept is good, as is the range and quality of the craft beers, which go well with the food. The service was fine. The decor is that recycled look which is very popular just now. The food is perfectly adequate, but for most of the dishes we had, I felt that the 'Curry Mile' in Maid Marian Way could do better.

great place to go have the equivalent of Indian tapas. must try the vada pav! and the chicken curry had a great homemade feel to it. highly recommended. please note portions sizes are smaller than you think... which i personally adore so you can try almost the whole menu if you go in a sizeable group! Wheelchair accessible. ( last we went no baby highchair provided). Service was really slow (although staff was friendly) might be due to it being a new restaurant still :)

Despite poor reviews lunch with friends was ok. We ordered 14 dishes off the menu and 6 of us were able to try them all. Good sharing experience. All the dishes were tasty and well cooked. Overall pleasantly surprised. Plus it was very reasonable. Ok the place was a tad rough around the edges when it came to ambience and decor. The staff were helpful and obliging. Compared to much of the fare on offer in the city centre this was a pleasant change from all you can eat and pizza.

There is so much potential with Indian street food. Everything seemed fried and smelling of stale oil. Paranthas were fried frozen ones and okra had excess of chat powder. Little to say of the experience but never again.

Bit of a strange experience, this building has so much potential but no one seems to be able to grasp how to produce a good restaurant experience from it. Beers were good, crappy wine and liquor selection for my girlfriend. Food was pretty basic and not really anything to shout about. The paneer we had tasted like paneer in Heinz tomato soup, the fish we had appeared to be a random selection of dry snacky fish bites. Shame, could’ve been delightful. Good luck guys but I’m not crossing my fingers for your future. Also, didn’t even get a plate for the nibbles, hence the title...

This was our favourite place to eat Indian food when we lived in Nottingham in the 1980s. Our last meal here was in July 2019 and we had hoped to have an anniversary meal here on 17th October 2023 but it was "closed for a revamp". We are very much looking forward to our next visit!

I can't praise this restaurant enough every meal I have had has been perfect and worth more than 5 stars . The food is always hot and cooked to perfection and the meat is lovely not the plastic rubbish that some restaurants use. I usually have the chicken bhuna with prawn fried rice and chilli naan which is as spicy as Dharmendra . The delivery service is great too usually early on arrival and friendly drivers who are always polite and have a smile. I wouldn't change a thing bless you all.

Asked a polish taxi driver to take us to a really nice Asian styled restaurant. After nearly 8 miles away from our hotel he brought us here. Couldn’t really make anything out of the taste as it was all cooked for the English palate. Anyways the establishment doesn’t sell Halal meats. Luckily we asked. So you have to ask them before ordering. The guy taking our order seemed very confused when we asked him on the authenticity of the Halal meat. But luckily very hesitantly told us to eat the chicken. Anyways we stuck to the veg starters and dishes. I think the only person to get a buzz out of the whole experience was the taxi driver taking us back on a two way fare.
