Karma Lounge in Worthing

Unclean. Unfriendly. No atmosphere. Could be really nice but is one of the strangest places I have been in in Worthing, and that's saying something.

Small little Bar with limited selection of drinks. Came after the Worthing game with friends so served a purpose and people seemed friendly. A friend says they show PL football and all the Brighton games live, including those not on TV in UK and even a 3pm Saturday which is a plus so will be back!

Disgusting cleanliness and most staff are lazy. Customers have to clean the bar / restaurant in the morning before they open. Absolutely disgusting. No names but you know who they are!

Not a pleasant experience at this venue. We placed an order for two coffees (a Flat White and an Iced Latte). The coffees came and we received a small pitcher of watery filter coffee with ice cubes and a large mug of filter coffee. Very basic, tasteless and complete opposite to what we ordered. It was hammering down outside so we just had to accept it, knowing at least it would be a cheap trip. Nope! Both coffees cost us £3.80… each! What the heck?! I complained saying these rates aren’t right and was simply told, “That’s what’s on the system." Shocked to say the least. I come from London/Surrey and it doesn’t even cost that for coffees up my way (especially what was essentially just filter coffees). Wish I’d read the reviews beforehand - but lesson learned. Oh and to boot, I totally agree what others are saying about the dodgy atmosphere in this place. Strange…

Where do you start with this place? The guy behind the bar - I hesitate to call him a barman - really didn’t have a clue. I was served a large G & T in a whisky glass with hardly any room for the tonic. I requested a balloon glass for my next drink only to be told that they’d run out of gin so the barman walked over to the Co-Op for a bottle of Gordon’s leaving people at the bar waiting to be served. Next drink was a pint of bottled cider from the fridge, served luke warm in a dirty glass. They had no draught beer; plenty of pumps but nothing to pour through them. One of our party was charged £6.50 for a small glass of wine. The place is advertised as a Pizzeria but we were told that they weren’t serving food because there was no one to cook it. Felt ripped off and we won’t be going back.

I am not surprised to see the malicious posts put up abouts this premises, it has been a factor on local social medai since it opened. but the owner clearly has not done a runner as he lives lives just a few minutes walk away. I was able to sit down and enjoy a decent couple of pints there twice within the last week. infact last Friday it was packed inside and out, so clearly it is not quite the place some people leaving excessively negative reports claim it to be.

This business has closed down permanently the owner has disappeared unfortunately there are a lot of fraudulent so called business owners in Worthing and this one beggars belief.

My friends and I came down for a drink. I had googled bars near by and thought we could try it out. When we arrived, one of us needed the loo but two of us were still smoking so we waited outside while he went in. A woman was putting up christmas lights outside while we smoked and told us very bluntly "We're not a public toilet you know." We were shocked, we had all intention of coming in to drink, but suddenly felt a huge distaste for the place already. We told her we were just finishing our cigarettes and we would follow our friend in. It felt like she didn't believe us. We end up going in anyway, mostly because we did not want her quick, and very wrong, judgment of our character to be the truth. We had exactly one drink each on a sticky table and promptly left. Honestly awful impression before even walking through the door. (Also as it turns out the toilets were not too nice either)

Popped in for a small meal with the family. No food available. I was wearing a trilby. The owner said what’s with the hat? Is it because you are Arty Farty. Took me a little by surprise. A generally rude man watching his untrained staff chase their tails with no glasses behind the bar. No food on the menu and his wife walking round the place like an oligarchs missis chatting away to uninterested people sitting there without the things they had popped in to get. Still, it’s closed now. The word on the street is it’s purely a money laundering venture run by a bloke and his wife who are probably currently on the run. Hopefully this will now change hands to be run by a 4 year old which will make it infinitely a more professional and nice place to be. Currently. According to the sign on the window “closed for major refurb”. Working in construction as I do I must ask him how the refurb is going as it either isn’t , or is being done with toffee hammer wrapped in cotton wool during the hours of darkness.

Just do not visit ,horrible,disrespectful and with terrible service and below par food it’s a shame how far it’s gone down hill.

Fortunately the place looks as though it’s CLOSED DOWN the owner was arrogant and had little experience within the hospitality industry hopefully a entrepreneur will turn this venue into a Sports bar .

Been here a couple of times - actually a really nice looking restaurant/bar however the location lets it down which obviously cannot be helped but the majority of the seating is outside and would be lovely if wasn’t over looking one of the busiest streets in Worthing and the local Co op. First time I went here ordered both food & drink. Was told the food was coming from their take away shop next door and it took over an hour for just a pizza. Drinks were very expensive too . Second time I went was on a Saturday evening around 7 which you think would be prime time. Was told they were currently closed for a function however there was only about 8 people at this “function” and no signs to say the venue was closed so sure others would of walked in. Seemed very strange as they would have lost a lot of custom that evening for only half a dozen people to have a party.

Appalling absolutely dreadful it’s a badly run grotty business in west Worthing the staff are completely useless the food is expensive it’s cold and unwelcoming .

Absolutely appalling went into the Karma Lounge over priced on everything, rude staff, food didn’t looked cooked and drinks tasted like water! We then thought we’d try the Karma Express take away a bit further down and was exactly the same food was extremely over priced when we arrived home after eating I had the worlds worst horrible chronic stomach ache, DO NOT EAT HERE!

Booked a table for 9 people, given that this is mainly a pizzeria, the service was appalling, slow due to ‘not enough pizza ovens’. 3 pizza’s delivered to the table at a time with 30 mins between each 3. As a result we could not eat together and some had to wait 1.5 hours!!! Tricolor salad soooo boring and tasteless. Such a shame, friendly staff and pizza’s not bad. But won’t be back, so disappointing.

Having seen the lovely decor, my sister and I dropped in for coffee one morning. It was the most disgusting cup of coffee I think I have ever had. I showed "the dishwater" to the waitress and she just said that is how we make...

.Thought wed give it a try. Worst pizza ever..would of been better with a £1 from Iceland. Music was so loud we had to leave as the children were getting upset. Not a pleasant place. Ans they don't even have a licence for alcohol even...

Nothing positive to say about this place sadly.. Overpriced pizzas ( with not much choice ) and expensive cocktails The staff made us feel like we were in the way just by being there I wanted to like it in there but couldnt find anything...

Really nice place to relax on own and chill out or enjoy with friends, with a really good atmosphere. Nicely out of town, nice staff and great owners. Great value

How has this place been allowed to play amplified music outside every single bank holiday and on other sunny weekends? While they’re blasting out ‘tribute bands’ their neighbours have to just suck it up. This is a residential area and it’s really NOT okay. Currently...

New chef apparently with a fresh outlook, lovely pizza - nice cocktails, it seems family run which is nice for the local area.
